Evergreen’s downtown area has grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, and other conveniences.

Getting Around:
Most residents and visitors in Evergreen rely on using personal vehicles due to the area's rural and mountainous nature. In fact, an all-wheel or 4-wheel drive is required to access our cabin. This is non-negotiable. Although the roads are well-maintained, it can get steep in some areas.

THE SPACE: The open floor plan with the large wall of south-facing windows in the great room is perfect for people to gather comfortably and migrate naturally between the living room, kitchen, dining room, front porch and the deck. KITCHEN: The large gourmet kitchen is equipped with a double oven, a double sink, a 4-burner gas stove, 2 skylights and views to the north and the south. GREAT ROOM: Dine in simple elegance with comfortable seating for 6-8 at the dining room table or be part of the kitchen activity sitting at the kitchen bar which seats 4. In the living room area, relax and put your feet up on the large leather ottoman or in one of the reclining wing back chairs. Stream a show on the 48” smart TV or just enjoy the big sky view. FAMILY ROOM: Downstairs there’s a 1000sqft. family room with 5 windows, patio access and 9’ ceilings where you can watch the 42” smart TV with surround sound, do some work at the large executive desk, play a board game with the kids. BEDROOMS: There are 4 bedrooms, including 3 on the main level and 1 on the first level. The large 16'x16' ensuite master King bedroom (Bedroom 1) has a 9-11' vaulted ceiling, cherry furnishings, smart TV and a wall of windows with a lovely view of the meadow and the large master bath has double sinks, jetted tub with a view and a large shower. There's a lovely corner bedroom with 3 windows on the main level (Bedroom 2) with an oak craftsman Queen bedroom set. This room shares a Jack and Jill bath with a bedroom which sleeps 4 (Bedroom 3). Bedroom 3 has a Queen bed and a double futon couch. The futon couch opens up to a double bed with a full-size conventional mattress. This would be an option if children would like to share a room with their parents. Downstairs on the patio level is bedroom 4 with a double cherry sleigh bed, 2 south-facing windows, 9' ceilings and adjacent large full bath.
Also, conveniently located on the main level is a laundry room with a Whirlpool Cabrio high capacity and high efficiency washer and dryer with utility sink, full-size ironing board and iron and extra clothes hanging space. WIFI: The home has 40 Mbps WIFI. The router is on the main level and there is a signal booster on the ground level. The cell coverage for some carriers is limited so there is a land line phone with free domestic calling available to you. The TV’s in the house are smart TVs capable of streaming with your own Netflix or Amazon accounts, however the house does not have cable or satellite service. Guests have access to the entire house and the two-acre property. If you can open a cabinet or closet, then it is intended for your use and the contents are for you to use as needed. Parking is available in the large driveway with room for up to 4 other vehicles.

The Space:
Other than the foyer, the home is all on the 2nd level above the garage. We store things in there and the garage is not available for parking, but we try to keep it so you can hang out with the doors open and use it as a covered patio or workspace. The bedroom is large and has a king bed w/2 end tables. There's also a dresser for your items. One closet is ours that we keep locked and the other can be used, but is mainly for storage. The kitchen has everything you'd expect, and the counter overhang serves as the "dining area". The living room has a good sized couch and chair for lounging. The outdoor patio is a great place for coffee/hanging out/having a drink. This is our favorite place in the world. We sincerely hope you enjoy it and if you have any feedback for future guests we'd love to hear it. We also give discounts for repeat guests and would love to have this be a place you come back to regularly! We have made other interior updates not shown in the photos, but it will be better than what you see in pictures. We are in the planning and permitting process to add a gas fire pit and back deck with a hot tub. We will update the photos as soon as we can get it started and completed.

*The windows are great for views, but the Colorado sun is bright. We have a good curtain in the bedroom so it doesn't wake you up...sun rises EARLY in the summer here. We also just put up curtains in the living area based on guest feedback and requests.

Guest Access:
Keypad on the front door with a back up lock box and you can park anywhere in the driveway or under carport.

The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is very quiet, secluded, and other than seeing some cars drive by you probably won't see anyone unless you go for a walk on Berry Bush Ln. The homes prior to ours are all unique, and sit on 1/2 to 2 acre lots. Once you get to our place, the tracts are all 20+ acres.

Getting Around:
We are surrounded on 3 sides by large acreage lots, and on the north side by 1/2-1 acre lot homes. We HIGHLY recommend 4WD vehicle and other than the great walks you can take, you'll need a vehicle to get around. Gas station, grocery, and restaurants are all within 5-10 min. You can park anywhere on the driveway or under carport...we like to use that space for grilling!

Other Things to Note:
*This is a mountain property and when it snows...it snows. During October through May we HIGHLY recommend a 4WD vehicle. While the driveway is pretty flat, it can get pretty difficult to get out of if you don't have 4WD.

*We have a person who comes by on Wednesdays to take trash to landfill. He will access the garage only.

*During the winter months, we have 2 snow plow contractors that come for any snow over 6". There have been times where they plowed and another foot of snow came down. Please watch the weather carefully. There have been times where we have parked at the end of the driveway just to make sure there were no issues getting out in case the plow couldn't come quick enough.

*Please explore! The creek is awesome, and so is..."just looking at the mountains & trees". There are detailed maps in the photos and with the check-in items showing the property lines. Our neighbors are very nice, but they don't like people walking on their property. Also use caution as there is a lot of wildlife out here. We've seen bears, deer, elk, porcupines, foxes, etc...

*Starlink is HERE, and So far it has been incredible. To date we've had no issues even in heavy snow.

The Space:
Other than the foyer, the home is all on the 2nd level above the garage. We store things in there and the garage is not available for parking, but we try to keep it so you can hang out with the doors open and use it as a covered patio or workspace. The bedroom is large and has a king bed w/2 end tables. There's also a dresser for your items. One closet is ours that we keep locked and the other can be used, but is mainly for storage. The kitchen has everything you'd expect, and the counter overhang serves as the "dining area". The living room has a good sized couch and chair for lounging. The outdoor patio is a great place for coffee/hanging out/having a drink. This is our favorite place in the world. We sincerely hope you enjoy it and if you have any feedback for future guests we'd love to hear it. We also give discounts for repeat guests and would love to have this be a place you come back to regularly! We have made other interior updates not shown in the photos, but it will be better than what you see in pictures. We are in the planning and permitting process to add a gas fire pit and back deck with a hot tub. We will update the photos as soon as we can get it started and completed.

*The windows are great for views, but the Colorado sun is bright. We have a good curtain in the bedroom so it doesn't wake you up...sun rises EARLY in the summer here. We also just put up curtains in the living area based on guest feedback and requests.

Guest Access:
Keypad on the front door with a back up lock box and you can park anywhere in the driveway or under carport.

The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is very quiet, secluded, and other than seeing some cars drive by you probably won't see anyone unless you go for a walk on Berry Bush Ln. The homes prior to ours are all unique, and sit on 1/2 to 2 acre lots. Once you get to our place, the tracts are all 20+ acres.

Getting Around:
We are surrounded on 3 sides by large acreage lots, and on the north side by 1/2-1 acre lot homes. We HIGHLY recommend 4WD vehicle and other than the great walks you can take, you'll need a vehicle to get around. Gas station, grocery, and restaurants are all within 5-10 min. You can park anywhere on the driveway or under carport...we like to use that space for grilling!

Other Things to Note:
*This is a mountain property and when it snows...it snows. During October through May we HIGHLY recommend a 4WD vehicle. While the driveway is pretty flat, it can get pretty difficult to get out of if you don't have 4WD.

*We have a person who comes by on Wednesdays to take trash to landfill. He will access the garage only.

*During the winter months, we have 2 snow plow contractors that come for any snow over 6". There have been times where they plowed and another foot of snow came down. Please watch the weather carefully. There have been times where we have parked at the end of the driveway just to make sure there were no issues getting out in case the plow couldn't come quick enough.

*Please explore! The creek is awesome, and so is..."just looking at the mountains & trees". There are detailed maps in the photos and with the check-in items showing the property lines. Our neighbors are very nice, but they don't like people walking on their property. Also use caution as there is a lot of wildlife out here. We've seen bears, deer, elk, porcupines, foxes, etc...

*Starlink is HERE, and So far it has been incredible. To date we've had no issues even in heavy snow.

**Guest agreement: We use a 3rd party for guest/owner insurance and guest agreements. After booking, you'll get an email/text from a company called "SuperHog". Once you enter your info and have signed the guest agreement, you'll be giving a CHOICE to:

1. $35 non-refundable damage waiver*(most common choice)
2. $500 FULLY refundable damage deposit.
3. Pay $0 and assume the liability for damage.

Depending on which option you choose, you'll be covered for accidental damage. Most People choose the waiver, but totally your call :)

Each Individual Cabin consists of one 350 square foot room with one queen bed and one twin bed. The Individual Cabin walls are log beam and each bed has a unique handcrafted pine headboard.

All Individual Cabins have a full kitchen equipped with a sink, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, coffee maker, and breakfast table with two chairs. The utensils, cookware, dishes, and coffee are provided in each Individual Cabin. Each Individual Cabin also has a tub/shower bathroom with a hair dryer. All Individual Cabins have a flat screen television with access to cable and streaming services, as well as 1 Gbps / 35 Mbps WiFi connectivity. Additionally, each Individual Cabin is equipped with a wood burning fireplace and a wall heater. In addition to the indoors, the Individual Cabins have an outside deck with seating, a gorgeous shared outdoor space along Bear Creek with seating and picnic tables, as well as charcoal grills. The Individual Cabins ARE pet friendly ($50 pet fee for the entire stay).

Enjoy endless mountain views from the comfort of your cozy bed or while enjoying coffee on the balcony. Secluded comfort on our 35 acre property, you will be able to enjoy elk, deer, and the best of Colorado’s wildlife right outside your door. Our cozy one bedroom, one bathroom barn includes a downstairs small kitchenette/dining area and high vaulted ceilings. You’ll be conveniently located five minutes from 3 Sisters Park and less than 15 minutes from downtown, but able to escape to peace!

When you first enter, you will find a small area downstairs with a little kitchenette and a washer/dryer. Please note there is no dishwasher. Downstairs also has a full size refrigerator and freezer. While there’s no oven, we have a toaster oven and a hot plate if you’d like to do a little cooking! We have a small slop sink as well for washing dishes.

Upstairs is the one bedroom and one bathroom. There is an adjoining storage room that we use and smaller side closets where you may store things. Our main house is about 150 yards down the road so you may see us around. We have a swingset that our kids use and if you’re traveling with kids, you’re welcome to use it!

There is a secluded back patio in addition to the balcony with a table and some chairs.

We also have very fast and reliable Starlink internet, a cozy fireplace and heat upstairs and downstairs.

Despite the name, there are no animals in the barn! The downstairs stalls are just used as a bit of storage for the time being.

Please note that if you are visiting from late October through April, you will need 4WD as we live down a long dirt road and can expect big snows during this time. We keep the road plowed as much as possible but with heavy snow the road will get icy at parts. During the summer, it can get a bit washed out as well so please take note as you drive!

Welcome to the Mountain Retreat on Douglas Park. Renovated in March 2023, everything is brand new! As you pull up to the property you will be greeted by ponderosa pine trees and daily wildlife visitors. Deer and Elk roam our neighborhood nearly everyday.

We comfortably sleep 4 people with a king size bed and queen sleeper sofa (extremely comfortable). You’ll have parking for two cars and your own entrance to come and go. We have a well equipped kitchenette, dining area, and gas fireplace!

The whole space was renovated in 2023 so you will likely be one of the first to experience it. Brand new kitchen appliances, shower head, furniture, gas fireplace, and walls covered by limestone and Aspen trees (yes, Aspen trees!). It is possible you may run into us or our friendly pup. We are friendly and will respect your space & privacy.

You will have access to your suite, the front of the house, and your dedicated parking spots on the right side of the driveway.

It is very possible we may cross paths but we will respect your space and privacy. We are very friendly and if want to strike up conversation we’d love to chat. We will take your lead though. We do have a dog that we walk often. If you you are afraid of dogs or have an issue with animals please let us know. Evergreen is an outdoor haven with a small but picturesque lake surrounded by towering pines and miles of trails. Our mountain retreat is a 5 minute walk to downtown and a 10 minute walk to Evergreen Lake. We can provide great recommendations for food and drinks nearby along with some of the best hiking and biking trails in the area. Downtown Denver is a quick 40 minute drive down I-70. If you’re coming into town to see a Red Rocks show we are only 20 minutes away and the drive there is extremely scenic through Bear Creek Canyon! Some of the most popular ski resorts like Breckenridge, Vail, and the locals favorite Arapahoe Basin are only 60-90 minutes away.

If you are wanting to visit Downtown Evergreen or Evergreen Lake we are a 5-10 minute walk away! There are also some nearby trails you can walk to but if you’re looking to explore the greater Evergreen area a car will be required.

We do live upstairs and will do our very best to ensure you have a quiet and peaceful stay. Given our high elevation we do not have AC. Your space should remain cool and if you open the windows and get a cross breeze it will get even colder. During winter months (November-April) we can receive heavy snowfall so AWD/4-wheel drive is highly recommended. If you don’t have the proper vehicle please contact us and local weather websites for current road conditions.

Parking for up to 2 cars in driveway. No smoking. Host has 2 cats. Pets considered on case-by-case basis and extra charge. Cleaning fee is charged monthly.

This mountain retreat is located on 5 acres in Evergreen. It is a spacious 600 sq. ft. apartment above our workshop, separate from the main home. With easy access to 285, you can explore what the foothills has to offer. We are only 10 minutes to downtown Evergreen, 30 minutes to Red Rocks and 45 minutes to downtown Denver. Whether you turn left or right when leaving the driveway, you are moments away from excellent hiking, biking, or whatever your adventurous heart desires.

The space
The bedroom has a queen bed with memory foam mattress. The living room has a pullout sleeper sofa with extra blankets and pillows stored under the chaise. Bring your streaming accounts to watch your favorite shows and movies. The large kitchenette is well stocked to make all your meals. It comes equipped with fridge, microwave, 2 induction cook tops, large toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker, pots & pans, dishes and cutlery. Bathroom has a walk-in shower and is stocked with towels and washcloths. There is also a full size washer and dryer.

Guest access
You will have the entire apartment above my upholstery workshop. Access is via a set of exterior stairs that lead to the private entrance.

Other things to note
I run a small upholstery business from the shop below the apartment. I try to get work done while guests are out for the day. This would probably not be a good fit for someone that works nights and sleeps during the day as I am hammering and using my staple gun often.

We are a small mountain community and don’t have access to the fastest internet. Streaming movies and internet browsing are not a problem. But if you work remotely and need a high bandwidth, you will run into some lag.

4WD or AWD is necessary October thru May. The county road is maintained and we will plow the driveway, but 2 wheel drive still won't cut it.

We do not allow any smoking on the property, because of the high danger or wildfires.

Please note, there are stairs to and from the parking area, so the apartment is not recommended for guests with mobility issues.

We’re about 1hr from the airport (DIA).

For ski areas: 20min to Echo Mountain, 1hr to Winter Park; 1hr 15min to Eldora Mountain Resort; 50min to Loveland Ski area; 1hr to Arapahoe basin ski area; 1hr 10min to Keystone Resort.

The backyard hosts a swing area frequented by wildlife, including elk, deer, and moose. Beware of their droppings ;-)

The deck has outdoor furniture for enjoying the outdoors all year round and a hot tub for relaxing after an enjoyable day.

Quiet neighborhood, please respect the locals. This cabin is intended for a relaxing getaway. When using hot tub late at night please be cautious of your volume.

***4 wheel drive and good tires with tread required in the winter months. Snow tires are not required but encouraged****

***We unfortunately cannot accommodate cats due to severe allergies. Sorry for the inconvenience***

****Mountain Lions and Bears have been spotted on property. Mountain Lion sightings are rare but they do happen. Keeping animals on leash and inside at night will eliminate any issues.*****

***Driveway is steep but maintained**
Driveway is plowed during winter months. Low clearance cars may have trouble in driveway especially in winter.

***Parking is tight but there is enough space to turn car around.***
