I had to give a credit/debit card for incidentals which is customary and was assured that I would not be charged. Staff stated they were new to hotels.com but she would get straight. After my daughter checked out and got home, I checked my banking account. The amount of the room was charged again to the debit card that I gave her for incidentals. I called the motel and spoke with Katie. I told her the issue…..she assured me she would look into this and return my call the next day. I never received a call. I had to again call the motel. They never acknowledged their mistake instead saying oh, it was customary and that this was not a real charge. It should be returned to my account within seven days. If it wasn’t a real charge, it wouldn’t be listed on my account as a charge. I’m hoping I get the money back. "

The other recommendation would to have an earlier breakfast option in the restaurant. We are early risers and wanted to start early for a long hike and the only option was to eat in our room. Even doing that the earliest we could eat was 8:30am. It woyld have been nice to eat in tbe restaurant at 8am. "

The space
Barefoot Hills is a 3.25 acre property nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, near historic Dahlonega, Georgia. There is a large deck connected to the main building directly outside of our cafe and lobby. Each night (weather permitting), we'll light up the fire pit, creating the perfect atmosphere for stargazing and making S'mores. There is a short (0.5 mile) trail around the property that is great for stretching your legs in the morning or after a long car ride!
