A secluded cottage on a beautiful, serene acre (plus) waterfront lot

The property is 1 1/4 acres in a secluded quiet area with no visible neighbors. It is a place to connect with nature and enjoy true peace and serenity. You can fall asleep at night listening to the sound of the running water and wake up to the sounds of nature. Read a book on the deck or take afternoon naps in the hammock. Fish from the back yard. The creek has native trout and is stocked. Watch the fish jump out of the water from the back deck. See the deer crossing the creek and a blue heron searching for fish on the rocks. The deck has a picnic table and a grill for outdoor eating. There is a patio with adirondeck chairs and a fire pit to sit around at night and watch the stars. There is a kayak for you to use in the creek to relax or fish and river tubes to float. You can use the beach chair if you want to just sit and cool off with the water running over you.

This house is bright and cheerful with lots of light. Art fills the walls giving it soul and colorfulness. It is a magical place filled with inspiring pieces from my travels.

THIS HOUSE FEATURES...

One guest bedroom, 1 large bathroom, eat in kitchen, living room with a wood burning fireplace and high cathedral ceilings, a sun room with comfortable furniture and a laundry area. The whole back of the house has windows that look out onto the creek. There is Wifi, television, DVD and a stereo CD player. There is a portable floor air conditioner in the kitchen and living room area and ceiling and floor fans in each room. Most of the time it is cool enough that it is not needed. I love to keep the windows open to hear the sounds of nature and the running water. The guest bedroom has a full size mattress, desk and dresser. The sun room has comfortable modular furniture that you can sink into. It can be rearranged to comfortably sleep 2 persons... This room overlooks the creek with 2 large windows and a sky light. There is a folding standing divider if you want privacy.

Dogs are welcome, however, they are not allowed on the furniture. Luna, the neighborhood dog most likely will visit you during your stay. She is super- friendly and most of my guests and their dogs love her and her visits. (see reviews)

The first day the power went out but there was a flashlight and candles and the host kept in touch regularly. The space
Whether you come to the Poconos to relax and enjoy quality time with family/friends or venture out to Bushkill's popular attractions, our cabin is the place to book. Perfect for the full Pocono mountain experience. Our cabin is primarily set up for families with children, but can accommodate 6 adults comfortably.

The living room offers seating for 6 which is perfectly situated in front of a electric fireplace and a 55 inch tv that is pre-loaded with Netflix and Disney + to stream at your convenience.

The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, dishwasher, electric stove, oven, microwave, cups, plates, silverware, toaster, and a blender. a coffee maker is also available to use to enjoy your favorite K-cups. We provide a limited amount of tea and coffee. We suggest coffee lover's to arrive equipped with more k cups to enjoy.

There is also a washer and dryer available to use.

The master bedroom has a comfortable King bed and private jacuzzi. There is also a workplace with desk, chair, and work light.

The Loft area is located up one flight of stairs and is equipped with a futon that doubles as a full bed. There is also a variety of family friendly board games plus a Marvel pinball arcade the whole family can enjoy.

In the summer months, watch the deer go by and enjoy the weather rain/shine from the sunroom equipped with a patio furniture. The deck lights can be turned on to set the perfect mood throughout the night. Citronella candles are avaliable to help guest keep mosquitoes at bay. In the front of the property sits six chairs surround a fire pit with a perfect view of the stars. Mosquito repellent is recommended.

There is tenant registration form required by my community, Saw Creek Estates, that must be filled out and given to me 72 hours prior to arrival.

This newly renovated beautiful townhouse is a home away from home. 2 bedroom 2 full bath townhouse with jacuzzi room is located in a quite community and is suitable for up to 6 guests. Additionally, Master bedroom has a crib for our young guests (you would need to bring your own crib sheets and blanket). Password code lock allows for easy check-in/check-out and each guest to have access to the property independent of each other.

The first floor has an open floor plan connecting kitchen, dining room and living room. You can relax in the living room next to the fireplace watching TV, or stream through your favorite player, or listen to your favorite tunes .

Kitchen is fully stocked with kitchenware, dishware and utensils, all you need is groceries and some magic to make any meal. Coffee lovers will find a traditional coffee machine along with the Keurig single-cup machine.
Dining room is suitable for up 6 people.

We have a high chair, booster seat and kids plates and utensils for the little once, if needed.

There are 2 bedrooms on the second floor. Master Bedroom has a queen size bed and a full size crib* for our young guests. It has a direct access to the jacuzzi room and a large Jack-and-Jill bathroom with the shower. Second bedroom features two bunk beds (twin over twin and twin over full) with a private full size bathroom.

Linens and towels are provided. *You will need to bring your own crib sheets and baby blanket.

If this is your first time visiting the Poconos, we want to ensure you understand what staying in the mountains entails. This house is nestled in the mountains, surrounded by trees and nature. As a result, you may encounter wildlife, as this is their home and we are merely guests. Wildlife may include flying insects, spiders, ants, squirrels, flying squirrels, mice, foxes, raccoons, opossums, skunks, snakes, turtles, coyotes, and black bears. Smaller creatures and insects can occasionally find their way inside depending on the outside conditions. We have monthly exterminator visits to minimize this, but being in the mountains, anything is possible.

Additionally, please note that the mountain infrastructure differs from that of the city. Power outages may affect the water supply as we are on wells and the well pumps need power to work. Usually, these outages are restored within 8-10 hours, which is a quick turnaround given the weather conditions. For outages lasting less than 24 hours, no refund or compensation will be provided. For outages exceeding 24 hours, compensation will be issued on a case-by-case basis.

Lastly, please be aware that extreme heat or cold waves can put stress on the house's heating or cooling systems, and these systems may struggle to keep up during very high or very low temperatures.

During winter months, it is highly recommended to have a vehicle with All-Wheel Drive (AWD) or 4x4 capabilities due to potential heavy snowfall.

We provide a starter pack of household essentials (paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, dish detergent). If the property includes a dishwasher, washer, and dryer, we also provide cleaning agents for those. Guests staying for longer durations or with larger groups should bring additional supplies. Personal toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash), q-tips, deodorants, or other personal care products are not provided.

The house includes cooking ware (pots, pans, plates, utensils, baking dishes), but guests need to bring personal grocery items (seasonings, flour, sugar).

A private wing on a 100 year old house set on 14 acres of woodlands, neighboring 220 acres in preservation that is home to all kinds of wildlife. The room overlooks a 3 1/2 acre pond (fishing available!). There's hiking up the valley or a simple walk around the pond. A private entrance with a porch and large flagstone patio where you can watch the sun set. A large lavish bathroom. The room has wifi, television and a small fridge. A Keurig for making coffee and tea. This is a pet free room.

Our property offers convenient 24/7 access and on-site parking. Access to the studio is via a key code for your security and privacy. You will be sent a door code specific to your stay the morning of your trip. Please note that the studio is not suitable for guests with mobility issues as many of the amenities are located up a flight of 8 steps!

Friendly dog breeds welcome! Sorry, no cats! As much as we love dogs, we don’t love to hear them bark all the time. So please be mindful of bringing along your fur baby, if they’re chatty! ****We typically don’t recommend or prefer that dogs be left alone in the space, if they should for a couple hours or so, we just ask that they be crated (which we can provide if needed).****
We have 2 dogs on site so please leash your pup at all times when entering/exiting and pick up/dispose of your dog’s poop with provided poopie bags!

You’ll be escaping to a rural part of NJ, you can expect to see some beautiful wildlife such as deer, groundhogs, bunnies, foxes and maybe black bears. This is the country- we do have the occasional critter/ insect stopping by to say hello! If you experience any unwanted visitors, let us know and we will do our best to find them another place to party!

The property's Isaac Read House was built sometime in the 1700s using primitive building methods and tools, followed by a more stately Federal-style addition in 1814. The home is named after its original owner, Isaac R. Read, Sr. Local legend claims Read was a patriot and figure in the American Revolution with ties to General George Washington, who is said to have stayed on the property.

We know less about the cottage — a former summer kitchen — but historical enthusiasts have theorized its impressive fireplace was constructed by Moravian hands following their tradition of using stone, timber, and arching brickwork, circa 1769-1808. This suggests that the hearth may be the true heart of this property, as its light and warmth nourished and received its first residents and visitors.

The Isaac Read Cottage is entirely yours to enjoy. The cottage resides at the top of a driveway allowing guests easy accessibility and provides an EV charger for overnight car charging.

A lockbox with key and key fob is located by the cottage's front door for contactless check-in/check-out.

The property is located off of a country road just outside of the village of Hope. The cottage has no neighbors aside from the property owners' main residence.

Please note that the Isaac Read Cottage is located in a very rural area and abuts forested land. As such, we live in harmony with nature and its wildlife, including deer, birds, rodents (squirrels, chipmunks, mice, etc.), frogs, spiders, insects, etc., with the extremely rare sighting of bear, fox, or snake.

Also, it's important to note that the cottage is on its own SEPTIC SYSTEM. For this reason, it's imperative that no other items are flushed except for the toilet paper we provide. All food waste, including used (cooled) cooking oil, is to be disposed of in the trash bin.

We have fantastic well water, but provide a Brita water filter pitcher in the refrigerator and filtered ice cubes.

Our mini-split cooling/heating system works extra hard in the colder months and at times the outside unit produces sound that can be heard indoors. We provide earplugs for those who are noise-sensitive.

To best ensure everyone's safety and comfort, our seasonal wood burning stove requires a demonstration prior to use under all circumstances.

A ChargePoint level 2 EV charger is available for use between the hours of 8 PM and 8 AM. Please note an additional $15 per-charge fee will apply.

Well-behaved dogs (no larger than 30 lb.) must be pre-registered for a fee of $150/per. Pets if left unattended must be crated at all times and for no more than four hours unless other advance arrangements have been made. A crate with bedding and food bowls can be provided upon prior request. Dog parents are responsible for collecting (bagging) all waste upon occurrence and disposing of it in the outdoor green garbage bin. For your convenience, we provide a scooper, located on the backyard fence.

One of a kind stay with everything included; Nespresso, linens, towels, toiletries, etc. we also make sure the house is spotless and always very clean.
