Well then… picture yourself on a nice private lake; lounging on a wooden deck, perched high above it all as you soak in the beauty. Thirsty..? A well-stocked party store is just around the corner with a huge selection of beer, wine & spirits. They also offer a hot food deli during the day and early evening. But let’s say you’re hungry for something more. While there are certainly many fine dining establishments and drive-thru restaurants within only 3 miles, you may prefer to drive only one mile to the nearby grocery store. There, you can purchase a few thick juicy steaks or whatever your heart desires to toss on the grill. If you like to float or splash around in the water… you’ll have your very own paddle boat (provided at no additional cost).

Briggs Lake is a no gasoline motor lake. Only electric trolling motors are permitted and what does this mean to you? Peace and tranquility...

Paquette’s Lakehouse is a great destination for bass fishermen. Anglers can fish right off the dock or enjoy a quarter-mile hike to Island Lake recreation area and fish Island Lake. Island lake recreation area is a 4000-acre park that offers an “up north” experience without leaving southeast Michigan.

Paquette’s Lakehouse has many things to offer year round. Enjoy the eye-popping color changes that take place in the fall. Try your hand at cross-country skiing on the lake during the winter and or, ride on nearby mountain bike trails all year. House Rules

- CHECK-IN: Check in time is 3:00 p.m. on your day of arrival. Earlier/ Late arrivals may be accommodated please coordinate arrival time directly with the owner.
- CHECK-OUT: Check out time is 10:00 a.m. on your day of departure. We will be often having guests leaving and arriving the same day this allows for only a small window of opportunity for cleaning and maintenance.
- CLEANING: Help keep our cleaning fees LOW-Leave the cottage as you found it; in broom clean condition, dishes washed put away, used towels put in the shower area. Extra cleaning time will be billed at $30 per hour if needed. PLEASE DO NOT CLEAN ANY FISH IN THE LAKEHOUSE.
- WHAT WE SUPPLY: The Lakehouse is set up as a fully furnished property that will include bedspreads, linens, blankets, 6 pillows, 8 bath towels, fully equipped kitchen and furnishings. Paper products are supplied but will not be replaced if consumed. Propane gas barbecue grill along with salt, pepper and foil are stocked by the owner. You should bring personal items such as bath soap, shampoo and toiletries. Extra beach towels are always recommended, people we are at the lake.
- SMOKING: Smoking is not allowed in the Lakehouse. If the smell of smoke is detected indoors after your visit a 200.00 cleaning fee will be assessed.
- FIRES: For insurance purposes the indoor fireplace is not to be used. Please keep outside fires inside of the fire ring, never leave a fire unattended and use a water bucket to completely extinguish any fires after use. Please turn the propane gas off on the barbecue grill after use.
- WEATHER: Owners do not assume any liability for loss, damage or injury to persons or their personal property. Neither do we accept liability for any inconveniences arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, electricity or plumbing. Nor will owners accept liability for any loss or damage caused by weather/road conditions natural disasters, acts of God or other reasons beyond our control.
- MAINTENANCE: Property owners will diligently attempt to address maintenance issues as they occur. If a maintenance issue occurs that cannot be fixed in a reasonable amount of time, and significantly affects the tenant’s stay; property owners reserve the right to refund at their discretion.
- GUESTS: No more than 4 overnight guests are permitted. Any additional day guests must be approved by the owners prior to arrival.
- PETS: No pets will be allowed

- Potential for noise - Fireworks during the summertime. Noise must be kept down after 10 pm; this is a neighborhood.

I have a large 2nd floor studio apartment. This apartment is separate from the main house and has it's own yard fenced yard. There is a 22x12 deck with a gas grill. My property is on what is left of a large farm and is 1 mile from Downtown Brighton, The studio can accommodate up to 4 people. There is a basic kitchen area with Fridge, Microwave and coffee . This is a simple place with nice accommodations. Mount Brighton Skiing is 1 mile and Brighton State recreation area is 1 mile. The city of Brighton is in walking distance too approx 1 mile. There is a $150 security deposit and if there is no damage it will be refunded!
This apartment is the 2nd floor with lots of Privacy. There is a school across the street with a playground.The place has a rustic feel but is not some kind of place to have a party etc! Visitors are ok as long as you respect the property.

-There is an separate suite at the far end of the house which will be very rarely occupied. This is a separate unit under the same roof but there are no shared spaces. Guests will have exclusive use of the main house including the laundry room and the beach area at all times. The suite is usually only occupied for a few day around Thanksgiving and from Christmas time until the first of the year. Please do not enter that fenced in area.

Come and relax at our charming renovated 1940's cottage on Little Ore Lake, Nicknamed "The Aquarium" for its fantastic fishing. Kayak or paddle board (provided by owner) on all sports Ore Lake or down the Huron River to the "Chain of Lakes". Ice fish or skate in the winter months, kayak down the river for a fall color tour. Our place has all the creature comforts with the charm of a vintage cottage. Just minutes from Downtown Brighton where you will find wonderful dining, shopping and festivals. We are also just moments from Legacy Center, Huron Meadows Metro Park and Brighton Recreation area. A short drive to Ann Arbor/University of Michigan.

The cottage is approximately 800 sq. ft. with about 35' of lakefront. Parking is limited to 3 vehicles as the lot is small. All sports Ore Lake is approximately 220 acres with a max depth of 80'. Little Ore Lake is a great destination for fishermen. Anglers can fish right off the dock. 6 Kayaks are provided at no additional cost. The vacant lot next door (other side of posts/chains) is NOT for guest use. This is owned by the neighbor across the street.

All this is surrounded by a landscaped yard complete with private dock and fire circle. Guests are invited to use the house Rowboat for 4 or Hobie kayak for 2 complete with sailing kit. For maximum comfort this property further offers central air conditioning, whole house pedestal emergency generator, and off street parking for 4 vehicles.

The Oasis is a four season property offering foliage color in the fall, cross-county skiing, ice fishing on the lake during the winter and miles of snow mobile trails in the 4,000 acre Island Lake Recreation area. For skiing/snowboarding the Oasis is a mile from Mt. Brighton. For golf there is the Jackal in the spring and summer as well as mountain biking trails, hiking trails, and of course multiple fishing opportunities. There are also additional golf courses, restaurants, shopping, antiquing, etc. all very close by.

Downtown Brighton and Howell (8 miles) offer many events in the summer including concerts, sidewalk sales, holiday parades, farmers markets, Howell Balloon Festival, Ann Arbor Art Fairs, Brighton Art Festival, Howell Melon Festival, Brighton's Smokin' Jazz & Barbecue Blues Festival, etc.

Very cozy stay, great for 4-5 people, a couple areas to hang out as a family or have some private time. The house was very clean, sitting right on the lake and kitchen big enough to manage a medium size Thanksgiving meal. We had a couple of very minor issues and Ed responded immediately. A little convenience store with nice wine selection is within medium walking distance (and the folks there treated me like family) and Kroger is 5 mins away. Our home was completely remodeled on Lake Chemung. Spend all day on the lake and watch the beautiful sunset at night. We have two lots, one the house sits on with a fenced in back yard and deck with a kids play set, and the other we have a large fire pit, seating, yard games and 40ft dock. We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.

We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.

Pullout Couch: Underneath the horizontal seat you will find two fabric handles. Pull them out from under the couch and raise up the extra mattress section from underneath the couch. Remove the couch pillows to make space for two!

Air Mattress: Designed for camping, our air mattress is extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two. To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate. You’ll find extra linens and towels in the pullout couch storage compartment as well.

Extra Linens: Underneath the chaise section of the couch you will find four bath towels and four hand towels, four pillows, a comforter, and extra sets of sheets and pillowcases for the couch and air mattress.

Our house is located in a secluded nook of Brighton, just off of Spencer Rd & Old US-23. We don’t have direct access to public transit, but Ubers and Lyfts do run regularly in the area and should be easily able to take you anywhere you need to go.

Lazy Days Lake House is a remodeled 1,600 sq. ft. home with three bedrooms (two upstairs plus a master on the main floor), a bathroom, large kitchen/family room combo which opens into a dining/sunroom with a panoramic view of the lake. The laundry is on the first floor along with an electric fireplace, and complimentary internet/TV is provided.

Outside, you'll find 40ft of lakefront, and an L-shaped dock perfect for swimming or fishing. The large deck boasts a gas grill, large dining table, and Adirondack chairs for relaxing.

Ore lake and Little Ore Lake are both private so there is no public boat launch nor are outside boats of any kind allowed. We have five kayaks available for use by our guests which is a great way to spend time on the water! There is also great swimming off the dock in the crystal clear lake water.

There is limited off-street parking or there is room for two cars on our cement driveway.

Our house is in a typical lake community with friendly neighbors, and the best little neighborhood store within walking distance. There, you'll find made-to-go food (amazing pizza and the best fried chicken), a large liquor selection, and any of the basic necessities you may need while on vacation.

The house is 15 mins off Hwy 23, 10 mins from Mt. Brighton Ski Resort, and even closer to several golf courses. It's 45 mins from Detroit and 30 mins from Ann Arbor.

Internet/Wi-Fi Usage:
There are no restrictions on Wi-Fi usage. The Wi-Fi password will be provided upon booking, and it will also be posted in the kitchen for your convenience.

Families with Children:
This home is perfect for families, especially since it's directly across the street from The Legacy Center. Children are very welcome! However, please ensure they are supervised, particularly around the fire pit, stairs, and outdoor areas.

Compost Bin:
There is a compost bin out back. Guests are not permitted to put anything in it or open it.

Fire Pit:
Guests are welcome to use the fire pit, but fires must not be left unattended. There is a large pile of sticks and wood on the south side of the backyard that can be used in the fire pit.

-There is an separate suite at the far end of the house which will be very rarely occupied. This is a separate unit under the same roof but there are no shared spaces. Guests will have exclusive use of the laundry room and the beach area at all times. The suite will be unoccupied for most of the year. It is likely to be occupied around Thanksgiving and from Christmas time until the first of the year. Please do not enter that fenced in area.

I live 2 miles from Mt Brighton Ski Area and 3 miles from the University of Michigan Specialty Center in Brighton. Brighton and Howell are both great small towns with excellent restaurants and activities. They both have concerts in the park and farmers markets to wander. Downtown shops and many State and Metro parks with lakes and trails to discover.

U of M Brighton Center Specialty Care is 2 minutes away. Mt. Brighton is right down the street. Close to Downtown Brighton(1 Mile), Brighton Rec Area Trail Head(1/2 mile), Mt Brighton(1/2 mile). Close to the Skiing, Lakes, Beach, Nightlife, Restaurants and Dining. The place is a private 2nd story space on what is left of the largest farm on the west side of Brighton. The place is private. My place is great for Skiers/Boarders, couples, solo adventurers, business travelers. U of M care center.

The space is clean, quiet and private. Basic cooking can be done and there is a grill on the deck . Coffee and a variety of Tea is provided for your enjoyment. There is an toaster oven, electric skillet, electric frying pan, blender and Coffee maker! The place has a 5.1 Stereo system with a Bluetooth connection. Music can be played inside and outside on the deck. Internet WifI connections for 2.4G/5G. Note 5G is connected to Gig Internet. Ethernet connection is available. Note: The bathroom is not suited for larger people.

You'll have access to 1108 sq. ft. (103 sq. meters) of private living space with a dedicated entrance straight to the lower level. Please note that there is a flight of stairs (approx. 10 steps) to enter/exit the unit and that the floor-to-ceiling clearance is 6'2" (1.88m) in some areas of the king bedroom and the living room (clearance is 7'2" or 2.18m in all other areas).

The property is a duplex and shared with others outside of the guest suite, including us as the owners who reside in the unit above, so feel free to say hello if you see us outside! We also have a pup whom you may hear walking around upstairs, but otherwise very quiet and well-behaved. She loves saying hi to other humans!

Brighton is one of the fastest growing suburban cities in SE Michigan. With Mt. Brighton just minutes away to ski in the winter, hundreds of public lakes within a few miles, and plenty of outdoor activities or bars and restaurants downtown, you will not be disappointed!

Paquette’s Lakehouse is a picturesque 600 square foot cottage located on Briggs Lake. Relax and take in the view on your own private deck overlooking the 75 acre lake with 120 feet of lake frontage.

The space
Looking for the perfect place to really kick back and relax?
Well then… picture yourself on a nice private lake; lounging on a wooden deck, perched high above it all as you soak in the beauty. Thirsty..? A well-stocked party store is just around the corner with a huge selection of beer, wine & spirits. They also offer a hot food deli during the day and early evening. But let’s say you’re hungry for something more. While there are certainly many fine dining establishments and drive-thru restaurants within only 3 miles, you may prefer to drive only one mile to the nearby grocery store. There, you can purchase a few thick juicy steaks or whatever your heart desires to toss on the grill. If you like to float or splash around in the water… you’ll have your very own paddle boat (provided at no additional cost).

Briggs Lake is a no gasoline motor lake. Only electric trolling motors are permitted and what does this mean to you? Peace and tranquility...

Paquette’s Lakehouse is a great destination for bass fishermen. Anglers can fish right off the dock or enjoy a quarter-mile hike to Island Lake recreation area and fish Island Lake. Island lake recreation area is a 4000-acre park that offers an “up north” experience without leaving southeast Michigan.

Paquette’s Lakehouse has many things to offer year round. Enjoy the eye-popping color changes that take place in the fall. Try your hand at cross-country skiing on the lake during the winter and or, ride on nearby mountain bike trails all year. You’ll be conveniently close to golf courses, restaurants, shopping and antiquing. During your stay, you may discover many events to attend; including summer concerts, sidewalk sales, holiday parades, farmers markets, art fairs and Brighton’s Smokin’ Jazz & Barbecue Blues Festival. Tumble Down, located in Brighton, MI on West Crooked Lake with access to East Crooked Lake. Both are all sports lakes. Relax and barbecue on your private deck overlooking the lake and roast marshmallows over the campfire. Sunbathing on the shore, deck or dock. Paddle around the lake in the 2 kayaks or the paddle-boat provided or bring your own boat. Boat launch 1/2 mile away. Great fishing: Base, Pike, Blue Gill, etc.

The space
Historic waterfront guest house known as 'Tumble Down' with amazing sunsets. Originally built in 1923 by a well-known gentleman who built many field stone cottages in the area, several of which are on West Crooked Lake.

Tumble Down is a cozy 1,000 sq foot guest house with two floors: the upper level has 2 bedrooms, family room and access to a private deck with a deep seating area. The lower level has a bathroom, kitchen with breakfast bar, TV family room, dining area (seating for six) and opens to a patio with grill, dining area (seats 8) and Adirondack chairs. Tumble Down cottage sits closest to the water with a private entrance and is located in front of the main house that was added to the property in 2005.

Tumble Down is located on low boat traffic, West Crooked Lake with access to East Crooked Lake. Both are all sports lakes. Relax and barbecue on your private deck overlooking the lake or roast marshmallows over the campfire. Sunbathing on the shore, deck or dock. Paddle around the lake in the 2 kayaks, paddle boat or the stand-up paddle-board provided or bring your own boat. Boat launch 1/2 mile away. Great fishing. Take a run, walk or peddle on the vintage tandem bike around the lake neighborhood.

Property has extensive gardens and was featured on the LACASA garden tour in 2010. Be sure to explore the secret gnome garden. Courtyard with fountain.

Tumble Down has much to offer year-round. Enjoy foliage color in the fall and cross-country skiing and ice fishing on the lake during the winter. The property has magnificent fall colors and several state parks in the area, Kensington Metro Park and Island Lake.

3-mile drive to Mt Brighton for skiing/snowboarding in the winter. Many golf courses, restaurants, shopping, antiquing, etc, are very close by. Inquire for recommendations.

Downtown Brighton (4 miles) and Howell (6 miles) offer many events in the summer, including concerts, sidewalk sales, holiday parades, farmers markets, Howell Balloon Festival, Ann Arbor Art Fairs, Brighton Art Festival, Howell Melon Festival, Brighton's Smokin' Jazz & Barbecue Blues Festival, etc.

It is a close drive to U-M (30 minutes), MSU (30 minutes), and Detroit (45 minutes), a great place to stay for all college and professional sporting events.

We do have 2 kayaks that guests are welcome to use at their own risk. You should bring your own life preservers. When the lake freezes, feel free to ice fish and ice skate with your own supplies

Many people swim in the lake although we do not have a beach. There is a dock for kayak and boat entry on our property but the wildlife and lily pads consume the water on our end. There is a better entrance just 4 parcels down and a shared swimming dock in the middle of the lake. In the summer, many people take their floats and rafts out here and you are welcome to use this entry. It is a great way to relax and swim without gas powered boats and watercraft around.

The house has a sauna on the back porch that is not available to guests. It is currently broken and we ask that you ask not touch it or go inside of it.

The Lakeside Lookout Room (Bedroom 1) offers a comfortable queen bed, bedside tables, a dresser to store your clothes/belongings and an incredible view of the lake with a walkout into the screened porch!

The Black Marlin Master Room is located down the spiral staircase, offering a queen bed with a pullout underneath (twin bed). You will have stunning views of the lake, a dresser to store clothes/belongings, and not to mention an infrared dry sauna… yes you read that right!

We have plenty of activities for everyone! Fish from the dock, take the kayaks or paddle board out, or go for a nice refreshing swim off the dock! If you’re looking to spend some time on dry land, challenge each other in surfboard corn hole, enjoy s’mores over a warm campfire or enjoy a few drinks at The Black Marlin Bar (our backyard tiki bar)!!

If you’re looking for an adventure, at the end of our street (1/4 of a mile) you have access into some of Michigan’s best parks. Island Lake State Park has plenty of hiking/biking trails, beaches, fishing docks, volleyball courts and perfect picnic spots. If you’re looking for a full morning/all day adventure, travel through the state park and you will connect to Kensington Metropark!

This property is nestled on a hillside. There are a few flights of stairs between the parking area and house. Please reconsider booking if climbing/decending stairs is an issue.

This house (as all houses in this area) is on well water. There is a water softener. If you are particular about your water please reconsider. We do have a reverse osmosis faucet next to the kitchen sink for drinking water.

Internet/Wi-Fi Usage:
There are no restrictions on Wi-Fi usage. The Wi-Fi password will be provided upon booking, and it will also be posted in the kitchen for your convenience.

Families with Children:
This home is perfect for families, especially since it's directly across the street from The Legacy Center. Children are very welcome! However, please ensure they are supervised, particularly around the fire pit, stairs, and outdoor areas.

Compost Bin:
There is a compost bin out back. Guests are not permitted to put anything in it or open it.

Fire Pit:
Guests are welcome to use the fire pit, but fires must not be left unattended. There is a large pile of sticks and wood on the south side of the backyard that can be used in the fire pit.

Damage and Missing Items:
Guests will be held responsible for any missing or damaged items during their stay. Please treat the property and its contents with care to avoid any additional charges.

Profiles that are brand new with no prior reviews are required to pay a $500 damage deposit prior to booking being confirmed and check-in instructions being shared. The damage deposit is fully refundable at the end of a reservation assuming there is no damage to the property.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.

We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.

We are available whenever you need! Please feel free to reach out via the app or website you booked on with any specific questions. For any health emergencies, please dial 911. If a system malfunctions (i.e., hot water not functioning or a light has gone out), please send us a message on the app or website you booked on and we will be sure to address it in as short a time as possible (we usually respond within a few minutes). We also have handymen, electricians, plumbers, and landscapers with whom we work, so for any extenuating circumstances, we will happily bring them out to solve your issues post haste!

Extra Sleeping Arrangements

Pullout Couch: Underneath the horizontal seat you will find two fabric handles. Pull them out from under the couch and raise up the extra mattress section from underneath the couch. Remove the couch pillows to make space for two!

Air Mattress: Designed for camping, our air mattress is extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two. To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate. You’ll find extra linens and towels in the pullout couch storage compartment as well.

Extra Linens: Underneath the chaise section of the couch you will find four bath towels and four hand towels, four pillows, a comforter, and extra sets of sheets and pillowcases for the couch and air mattress.

We love hosting folks, so we want to be as respectful as possible to our wonderful neighbors. Since we’re in a quiet neighborhood, we do ask that you follow a few easy rules:

- No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know.
- Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm.
- Please leave your shoes at the door.
- No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies.
- No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky.
- If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair.
- Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.

Guest access
During your stay, you will have access to the majority of the space, including the living areas, dining area, kitchen, bathrooms, and 3 bedrooms. However, please note that two bedrooms will be locked as they are designated as the kid's bedrooms. Rest assured, the remaining bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, providing ample space for your accommodation needs. If you have any specific requirements or preferences regarding the bedroom arrangements, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

There's also an air mattress available if needed. Upon entering, you're greeted by beautiful vaulted ceilings, an open floor plan and an abundance of natural light. The Kitchen/Dining/Living Room combo provides desirable flow and social gathering throughout the main area. The Primary Bedroom is an absolute dream previewing tray ceilings to captivate the large space. The large Primary Bath includes a double sink vanity, waterfall tiled walk-in shower, soaker tub, and private toilet room. Coming from downtown Brighton, you can reach the home with less than one mile of dirt road. It is a country setting and the home is on a dirt road so your car may get dusty or dirty. Feels like you’re in the country but close to city conveniences and amenities.
