But let’s say you’re hungry for something more. While there are certainly many fine dining establishments and drive-thru restaurants within only 3 miles, you may prefer to drive only one mile to the nearby grocery store. There, you can purchase a few thick juicy steaks or whatever your heart desires to toss on the grill. If you like to float or splash around in the water… you’ll have your very own paddle boat (provided at no additional cost).

Briggs Lake is a no gasoline motor lake. Only electric trolling motors are permitted and what does this mean to you? Peace and tranquility...

Paquette’s Lakehouse is a great destination for bass fishermen. Anglers can fish right off the dock or enjoy a quarter-mile hike to Island Lake recreation area and fish Island Lake. Island lake recreation area is a 4000-acre park that offers an “up north” experience without leaving southeast Michigan.

Paquette’s Lakehouse has many things to offer year round. Enjoy the eye-popping color changes that take place in the fall. House Rules

- CHECK-IN: Check in time is 3:00 p.m. on your day of arrival. Earlier/ Late arrivals may be accommodated please coordinate arrival time directly with the owner.
- CHECK-OUT: Check out time is 10:00 a.m. on your day of departure. We will be often having guests leaving and arriving the same day this allows for only a small window of opportunity for cleaning and maintenance.
- CLEANING: Help keep our cleaning fees LOW-Leave the cottage as you found it; in broom clean condition, dishes washed put away, used towels put in the shower area. Extra cleaning time will be billed at $30 per hour if needed. PLEASE DO NOT CLEAN ANY FISH IN THE LAKEHOUSE.
- WHAT WE SUPPLY: The Lakehouse is set up as a fully furnished property that will include bedspreads, linens, blankets, 6 pillows, 8 bath towels, fully equipped kitchen and furnishings. Paper products are supplied but will not be replaced if consumed. Propane gas barbecue grill along with salt, pepper and foil are stocked by the owner. You should bring personal items such as bath soap, shampoo and toiletries. Extra beach towels are always recommended, people we are at the lake.
- SMOKING: Smoking is not allowed in the Lakehouse. If the smell of smoke is detected indoors after your visit a 200.00 cleaning fee will be assessed.
- FIRES: For insurance purposes the indoor fireplace is not to be used. Please keep outside fires inside of the fire ring, never leave a fire unattended and use a water bucket to completely extinguish any fires after use. Please turn the propane gas off on the barbecue grill after use.
- WEATHER: Owners do not assume any liability for loss, damage or injury to persons or their personal property. Neither do we accept liability for any inconveniences arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, electricity or plumbing. Nor will owners accept liability for any loss or damage caused by weather/road conditions natural disasters, acts of God or other reasons beyond our control.
- MAINTENANCE: Property owners will diligently attempt to address maintenance issues as they occur. If a maintenance issue occurs that cannot be fixed in a reasonable amount of time, and significantly affects the tenant’s stay; property owners reserve the right to refund at their discretion.
- GUESTS: No more than 4 overnight guests are permitted. Any additional day guests must be approved by the owners prior to arrival.
- PETS: No pets will be allowed

- Potential for noise - Fireworks during the summertime. Noise must be kept down after 10 pm; this is a neighborhood.

I have a large 2nd floor studio apartment. This apartment is separate from the main house and has it's own yard fenced yard. There is a 22x12 deck with a gas grill. My property is on what is left of a large farm and is 1 mile from Downtown Brighton, The studio can accommodate up to 4 people. There is a basic kitchen area with Fridge, Microwave and coffee . This is a simple place with nice accommodations. Mount Brighton Skiing is 1 mile and Brighton State recreation area is 1 mile. The city of Brighton is in walking distance too approx 1 mile. There is a $150 security deposit and if there is no damage it will be refunded!
This apartment is the 2nd floor with lots of Privacy. There is a school across the street with a playground.The place has a rustic feel but is not some kind of place to have a party etc! Visitors are ok as long as you respect the property.

-There is an separate suite at the far end of the house which will be very rarely occupied. This is a separate unit under the same roof but there are no shared spaces. Guests will have exclusive use of the main house including the laundry room and the beach area at all times. The suite is usually only occupied for a few day around Thanksgiving and from Christmas time until the first of the year. Please do not enter that fenced in area.

Come and relax at our charming renovated 1940's cottage on Little Ore Lake, Nicknamed "The Aquarium" for its fantastic fishing. Kayak or paddle board (provided by owner) on all sports Ore Lake or down the Huron River to the "Chain of Lakes". Ice fish or skate in the winter months, kayak down the river for a fall color tour. Our place has all the creature comforts with the charm of a vintage cottage. Just minutes from Downtown Brighton where you will find wonderful dining, shopping and festivals. We are also just moments from Legacy Center, Huron Meadows Metro Park and Brighton Recreation area. A short drive to Ann Arbor/University of Michigan.

The cottage is approximately 800 sq. ft. with about 35' of lakefront. Parking is limited to 3 vehicles as the lot is small. All sports Ore Lake is approximately 220 acres with a max depth of 80'. Little Ore Lake is a great destination for fishermen. Anglers can fish right off the dock. 6 Kayaks are provided at no additional cost. The vacant lot next door (other side of posts/chains) is NOT for guest use. This is owned by the neighbor across the street.

It was a little early in the season to be able to take full advantage of the outdoor activities but I bet kayaking on this lake would be incredible. The Oasis has three levels- each with individual bedrooms to afford privacy and togetherness while simultaneously overlooking Island and Briggs lakes. It is currently set up with three bedrooms and is tastefully furnished with antiques, yet updated with contemporary features- the Oasis is a serene and comfortable environment for those with upscale taste.

The top floor offers exquisite sunrise and sunset views and features a lovely bedroom with couch, dresser and full-sized bed. It also offers a private business center with Internet, computer, scanner, and printer.

The street level entrance opens into a living room followed by a bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub; master suite with king sized bed, a well-equipped, high end stainless steel kitchen, and semi-formal dining room complete with silver, china, and crystal. This level further extends to a large porch complete with Weber grill, table and seating for 6.

The lake level offers a bedroom with a wraparound porch, private entrance, queen size bed and spectacular water view. This level serves as an additional gathering point for the Oasis with gas fireplace, game room, large bar, ¾ bath and audio- visual capability with large screen, high definition television and 5.1 surround sound.

All this is surrounded by a landscaped yard complete with private dock and fire circle. Guests are invited to use the house Rowboat for 4 or Hobie kayak for 2 complete with sailing kit. For maximum comfort this property further offers central air conditioning, whole house pedestal emergency generator, and off street parking for 4 vehicles.

The Oasis is a four season property offering foliage color in the fall, cross-county skiing, ice fishing on the lake during the winter and miles of snow mobile trails in the 4,000 acre Island Lake Recreation area. For skiing/snowboarding the Oasis is a mile from Mt. Brighton. For golf there is the Jackal in the spring and summer as well as mountain biking trails, hiking trails, and of course multiple fishing opportunities. There are also additional golf courses, restaurants, shopping, antiquing, etc. all very close by.

Downtown Brighton and Howell (8 miles) offer many events in the summer including concerts, sidewalk sales, holiday parades, farmers markets, Howell Balloon Festival, Ann Arbor Art Fairs, Brighton Art Festival, Howell Melon Festival, Brighton's Smokin' Jazz & Barbecue Blues Festival, etc.

- "Stayed here on a Thanksgiving family trip visit with our child who is at University of Michigan. Very cozy stay, great for 4-5 people, a couple areas to hang out as a family or have some private time. The house was very clean, sitting right on the lake and kitchen big enough to manage a medium size Thanksgiving meal. We had a couple of very minor issues and Ed responded immediately. A little convenience store with nice wine selection is within medium walking distance (and the folks there treated me like family) and Kroger is 5 mins away. It was a about 25 mins into Ann Arbor so not too bad. We had a great stay."

Our home was completely remodeled on Lake Chemung. Spend all day on the lake and watch the beautiful sunset at night. We have two lots, one the house sits on with a fenced in back yard and deck with a kids play set, and the other we have a large fire pit, seating, yard games and 40ft dock. Kayaks and paddle board for rent. Inquire upon booking. The house is a 1 bedroom, with king size bed and 1 bathroom. We offer Queen size aero beds as well for extra sleeping and a couch. We also have toddler cots you can request. Our backyard has a grill, fire pit and a swing set for kids to play on. We are approximately 3.8 miles from Mt. Relax with the family at this peaceful lake home. 220 acre Ore Lake is normally very quiet except for Saturdays on holiday weekends because its a private lake, no public access. The beach has 7 yards of new sand. The water is very shallow close in and gradually get deeper. We have a 108' dock and its about 4' deep at the end of it. Lots of sand toys in the garage. Full size blow up mattress can be set up in the living room. Life jackets and an extra refrigerator in the garage. Registered guests only. Popular fishing hole off the end of the dock. 99% of guests are visiting family, friends, on a work trip, or just exploring town. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that:

We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.

We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.

Located on a quiet side street off of Spencer Road, our driveway fits up to two cars with another three to four able to park on the road in front of the house.

The house is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front door and on the side door. To access the house, enter the code we provide in your reservation check-in instructions, and press the CHECK to unlock.

When leaving, enter that same code followed by the CHECK mark and the deadbolt will close. The locks will also auto-lock after one minute if you forget to lock.

We are available whenever you need! Please feel free to reach out via the app or website you booked on with any specific questions. For any health emergencies, please dial 911. If a system malfunctions (i.e hot water not functioning or a light has gone out), please send us a message on the app or website you booked on and we will be sure to address it in as short a time as possible (we usually respond within a few minutes). We also have handymen, electricians, plumbers, and landscapers with whom we work, so for any extenuating circumstances, we will happily bring them out to solve your issues post haste!

Extra Sleeping Arrangements

Pullout Couch: Underneath the horizontal seat you will find two fabric handles. Pull them out from under the couch and raise up the extra mattress section from underneath the couch. Remove the couch pillows to make space for two!

Air Mattress: Designed for camping, our air mattress is extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two. To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate. You’ll find extra linens and towels in the pullout couch storage compartment as well.

Extra Linens: Underneath the chaise section of the couch you will find four bath towels and four hand towels, four pillows, a comforter, and extra sets of sheets and pillowcases for the couch and air mattress.

- Please leave your shoes at the door.
- No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies.
- No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky.
- If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair.
- Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.

Our house is located in a secluded nook of Brighton, just off of Spencer Rd & Old US-23. We don’t have direct access to public transit, but Ubers and Lyfts do run regularly in the area and should be easily able to take you anywhere you need to go.

This completely renovated lakefront home offers plenty of space inside and out to relax and have fun with family & friends. Lazy Days Lake House is fully equipped with everything you need for a great getaway, including kayaks, fire pit, and gas grill. The house sits on Little Ore Lake (no wake) which opens to Big Ore Lake. Little Ore also connects to the Huron River which is perfect for kayaking. Located 15 minutes from the shops and restaurants in the beautiful downtowns of Brighton or Dexter.

Lazy Days Lake House is a remodeled 1,600 sq. ft. home with three bedrooms (two upstairs plus a master on the main floor), a bathroom, large kitchen/family room combo which opens into a dining/sunroom with a panoramic view of the lake. The laundry is on the first floor along with an electric fireplace, and complimentary internet/TV is provided.

Outside, you'll find 40ft of lakefront, and an L-shaped dock perfect for swimming or fishing. The large deck boasts a gas grill, large dining table, and Adirondack chairs for relaxing.

Ore lake and Little Ore Lake are both private so there is no public boat launch nor are outside boats of any kind allowed. We have five kayaks available for use by our guests which is a great way to spend time on the water! There is also great swimming off the dock in the crystal clear lake water.

There is limited off-street parking or there is room for two cars on our cement driveway.

Our house is in a typical lake community with friendly neighbors, and the best little neighborhood store within walking distance. There, you'll find made-to-go food (amazing pizza and the best fried chicken), a large liquor selection, and any of the basic necessities you may need while on vacation.

The house is 15 mins off Hwy 23, 10 mins from Mt. Brighton Ski Resort, and even closer to several golf courses. It's 45 mins from Detroit and 30 mins from Ann Arbor.
