- "Came in for event at MIS. This is a great location for that. Able to enjoy time on the lake with the kayaks, even this late in the year. Plenty of space for the whole family. The extra fridge in the converted garage is great for bigger groups. The kitchen was well stock with spices, etc. There were a ton of glasses, and adequate plates. Nothing is more annoying than having a rental say it sleeps 20, but there are only place settings for 6 in the kitchen--that is NOT an issue here. The host responded in a reasonable time to any messages. The firepit was great--put out alot of warmth with burning a ton of wood, or needing constant tending. (wood was also provided!) The hot tub was great. The arcade machine was nostagic and fun. We were able to stream on the wall mounted TV's Downsides... The fire place wasn't working. The water is well--and it is softened; so you never feel clean in the shower, and it is NOT drinkable. They didn't provide any bottled water, so that means a trip to the store asap on arrival, which is a little annoying. So that means needing to buy ice as well. There was a built in ice machine, but it was full of mold. Of note, the store is close by. The neighborhood is quiet (though we were not there in summer). The access is a one way looped road which is annoying. I have a hard time believing you could really fit 5 cars. The house had "air fresheners" in EVERY outlet, so it smelled like chemicals and took time to air out "

Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.

Spacious, open first floor gives your group plenty of relaxing space. The kitchen is fully equipped. There are two main-floor bedrooms, one with a full size bed and one with bunk beds, and a bath with a claw-foot tub. The winding staircase takes you to the master bedroom, master bath that has a jacuzzi tub, and in-house laundry.

Outside, the open patio gives you a great view of the canal which leads to Wampler's Lake. Relax by the fire pit, chat with friends while enjoying the patio umbrella, table and chairs, or go for a stroll through the welcoming neighborhood.

Recent upgrades include a new front patio & steps, and a new seawall and dock. Fresh lawn to go along with the upgrades means there's great space for yard games and for everyone to play.

You will love this 2,300+ square feet, two story, open layout home! It is situated facing south on an unshared 1/2 acre of land we call Turtle Point. You will have wonderful views of sunrise and sunsets! Lakefront on three sides, its many deep windows provide spectacular views in every direction, every season. Located directly on a 66 acre, natural, quiet, great fishing lake, Turtle Point is delightful, and we have our own private beach area.

While best suited for 6-8 people, Turtle Point Lodge sleeps up to 12, with three private bedrooms and two queen sleeper sofas in the two separate living areas. There are two bathrooms, one on each level. Sparkling new kitchen is well furnished. Dining table can seat ten, and in addition, there are two barstools at the counter, or, more informally, use the tray tables.

You can spend your time here all to yourselves. (A common comment in our guest book is, "WE NEVER LEFT!") Or get out and enjoy the local activities. In the heart of the Irish Hills recreation area, our friendly towns are no strangers to tourists. Brooklyn and Tecumseh in particular have quaint, specialty shops, farmers markets, antiques, wineries, (One is just a half mile down the road!) parades, festivals and summer fun. Michigan International Speedway is only 3-4 miles away! This UNIQUE home and property are wonderful EVERY time of the year!!

Just entering our fall season, it may be the most underestimated time of the year. The area is just beginning its fall display, with hints of much more to come. Walks, soaking in the sun, dips in the hot tub, these delightful days are perfect for yard games or kayaks. Moonlit nights give opportunity for hot dogs, s'mores and campfire gazing, You might want to think about celebrating a holiday or special occasion where you can gather a good-sized group at this large, lovely, very clean home! Turtle Point loves to host special events! We have had family groups from all over, a book club, 10 men from an extended family, prayer group, anniversary celebration, 6 sisters, golf outing, even a wedding!

Winter is beautiful, watching the weather from the warmth and coziness of your home. You can sit back and watch it snow from the comfort of home, or you can sled and slide on the ice, or watch (or be!) an ice fisherman. Can you imagine sitting in the hot tub on the deck, directly under the stars? You can even be served in an igloo at a local winery.

Nite Lites at MIS is a spectacular show, fun for the family - a 6-mile Christmas drive-thru! This is available before Thanksgiving into the New Year. Make popcorn, watch a good movie (large selection of DVDs) or sports program, and/or play some family games - Bingo, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader, Junga, Family Charades, etc.

New life awakens in the spring. Little traffic on our road makes it a good place to get out and take exploratory walks. You might see migrating swans and returning birds. Turtles begin to crawl out to bask in the sun and you can enjoy the hot tub. We now have a floating diving and fishing platform! It's hard to find this large a lot on a lake! No close neighbors to bother, or to bother YOU! We are all ready to jump into summer activities!

Summers are perfect here at the lake. We have a large, sandy beach area with shallows for the kids. Large yard play areas for family sports - ladder golf provided. We have many beach chairs, both Adirondack and cloth chairs, picnic table, benches and a glider, even children's chairs. Paddleboat, 6 kayaks, rowboat, sand/beach toys and life preservers are on-site. We can rent you a pontoon and/or Captain Neil is sometimes available to host pontoon rides or for campfire crooning! You may also bring your own small boat or jet-ski.

There is no off-season to this beautiful property! Hot tub, campfire, leisure spaces anytime! Huge TVs, comfy seating and gas fireplace make the living area so homey, while the deep windows let you look out at the lake in comfort. There also was a hot tub right on the back deck for enjoyment next to the grill available for cooking and eating on the deck or the picnic table on the beach. Large family friendly house with amenities everyone can enjoy. This house has over 9,000 square foot of living space, 9 bedrooms, and can sleep 27 people. Keep everyone entertained with the heated, indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, and poker table. Come across some nice days and the kids could have fun on the outdoor play set.
The main floor consists of two beautiful sitting rooms, a fully stocked kitchen, and a very large dinning room table. There are two sleeping areas on the main floor, a king bed adjacent to the living room overlooking the woods, and a queen bed off of the second living room. Currently no shower on the main floor.
Upstairs you will come across 5 bedrooms. The master bedroom upstairs has a king bed and twin over twin bunk beds. Connected to this bedroom is a large bathroom with a large walk in shower and tub. On the other side of that bathroom is another bedroom with a queen bed and a twin over full bunkbed. Continue down the hall and you will find a full bathroom with a washer and dryer and another bedroom with a king bed. The last two bedrooms upstairs are next to each other and share a Jack and Jill bathroom. These bedrooms have a queen bed and then a queen over queen bunkbed.
Find your way downstairs to come across another large sitting area and a six person poker table. The basement also has a full bathroom and two bedrooms. The one bedroom has a king and a queen bed, and the last bedroom has a king bed.
Only a few minutes from the Michigan Speedway, Bundy Hill Off Road Recreation LLC, and the town of Brooklyn, MI. Also not far from Devil’s Lake, a public lake with a public beach.

- "We enjoyed the property and the house! It was very comfortable and well stocked. The deep end of the pool was a little cloudy so you couldn’t see the bottom or any toys that went to the bottom. The kids and family really enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. There is a wasp nest off the railing of the deck near the sliding door that unfortunately stung the baby. Hoping they can take care of the nest. I messaged the owner but never heard back. Otherwise great place to stay and we would definitely visit again!"

Wamplers Lake is an all-sport but peaceful lake in Irish Hills, popular for year-round fishing and host of the annual Midwest Open Ice Fishing Tournament.

Our lakefront property includes backyard, front yard with patio and electric awning, plus an additional front lawn and seawall right up to the water's edge.

Lakeshore Drive is a quiet private road with more pedestrians than vehicles. Morning walkers, joggers, and cyclists enjoy the beautiful views and peace and quiet of Lakeshore Drive.

Our lake home has a bedroom and full bathroom on the main level, plus two additional bedrooms and a half bath upstairs (see below for bed sizes). The main level has a large open-concept great room that includes a fully stocked kitchen, living room, dining room, and laundry. Just off the living room is a heated four-seasons room with beautiful views of the lake. Window air conditioning units are located throughout the home.

Home has a long private driveway with both front and back doors for your convenience. Maximum 4 vehicles.

On the main floor there is a queen bed and dining area with kitchenette. WIFI, Smart TV, Netflix, Hulu, & Disney +. Super Nintendo with games. The loft area has two twin floor beds. Sheets comforters blankets and pillows are provided. Please note if you plan on using the beds in the loft, the beds will not be made! Feel free to arrange the sleeping area to your liking!
All beds have heated mattress pads, sheets, pillows, and comforters. Extra blankets are provided.

The driveway is gravel and has a steep incline.
WI-FI & TV w Netflix, prime and Hulu. Right on the river, and less than 1/4 to access to a private lake. Grill, firepit, seating, outdoor sink with running water, toaster oven, mini fridge, keurig, and basic utensils.

Bathroom situation:
For convenience, there is porta potty close by. It is pumped weekly by the company and always cleaned & sanitized between guests. Shower/bathing: My home is on the property, and if requested, you can access a full bathroom that will be dedicated to you during your stay. Shower and bath, with all the essentials located on the upstairs floor. Please send me a message with a heads up if you plan on using, so I can make sure it is accessible anytime during your stay.

Welcome to our lake house- the perfect retreat for couples, friends, or families who want to stay in a small town, lake community in a country setting. Our house is across the street from Wamplers Lake with shared, private lake access for launching kayaks (2 available in summer) and great for ice fishing in the winter. Jerry's pub is down the street for lake side food, drinks, & live music year round. The house is minutes away from Hayes State Park beach and boat launch, downtown Brooklyn, Michigan International Speedway, & Hidden Lake Gardens with its canopy skywalk.

Enjoy the entire place to yourself. The lake house is one floor- two bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, and a full kitchen. One bedroom has a queen size bed. The other bedroom has a queen size bed with a twin size loft. Available in each bedroom is a desk for a remote workspace. The bathroom has a shower (no bathtub). There is a smart TV (no cable, but you can use your own login for various apps like Netflix), dvd player, and wifi. The kitchen is fully stocked with coffee maker, toaster, microwave, stove, oven, dishware, utensils, and pans. Linens and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels.

There is a patio in the front with seating and a pergola for shading. The backyard has a gas grill, picnic table, fire pit (wood not provided) and a fenced in yard for pets (fence 2.5' high). We are pet friendly for well behaved pets (pet fee required)

Bring your own boat to launch at nearby Hayes State Park. There is no overnight docking at the property, but the driveway is rather long if you plan to bring your own boat on a trailer. There are many lakes nearby, which are great for fishing in the summer and ice fishing in the winter.

▶ Please note that the garage is not available for guest use and is not part of the rental.

▶ To avoid insects and mold, please keep all windows and doors closed. Leaving them open while the AC is on could result in a fee up to $500. For your comfort, we recommend setting the AC between 72-83°F.

▶This house is privately owned and does not include maid service or daily cleanings. The cleaning fee covers a final cleaning (after your checkout).

▶ Unregistered guests are not permitted.

▶ Pets are not allowed.

▶ No parties. Significant noise or playing loud music after 9:00 pm will result in you being asked to leave without a refund for the remaining time of your reservation.

▶ Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property — this includes the interior of the home, as well as all outdoor areas such as the deck, porch, yard, driveway, and any territory associated with the property.
If there is any evidence of smoking, a $250 penalty will apply, and your reservation will be terminated immediately without a refund for any unused nights.

▶ Check-in is at/after 4 pm and check-out time is no later than 11 am. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability. Late check-out without prior approval will result in a fee of $100 per hour for each hour after 11 am.

▶ During check-in, you will find towels, linens, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and toilet paper provided for your convenience. Please note that we do not provide additional supplies during your stay, so we recommend planning accordingly.

▶ Please note that moving the furniture in the house is not permitted. Violation of this rule can result in a penalty in the amount of $250.

▶ TRASH: The trash is removed every Wednesday. Please place the trash containers by the road on Tuesday night so they can be picked up, and return them after collection, no later than Wednesday evening.

▶ Do not flush paper towels, wipes, trash, or feminine products down the toilet. Please use the bins instead. If it is found that something has been flushed and clogged the septic system, you could be charged damages.

▶ Our properties are professionally cleaned and treated regularly for pests. Due to the local climate, occasional insects may enter the home despite our best efforts. Please let us know if you experience any issues, and we’ll address them immediately.

Welcome to our lake house- the perfect retreat for couples, friends, or families who want to stay in a small town, lake community. Our house is across the street from Wamplers Lake with shared, private lake access for launching kayaks (2 available in summer) & ice fishing (in the winter). Jerry's pub is down the street for lake side food, drinks, & live music. We are minutes away from Hayes State Park beach & boat launch, downtown Brooklyn, Michigan International Speedway, & Hidden Lake Gardens.

The space
Enjoy the entire place to yourself. The lake house is one floor- two bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, and a full kitchen. One bedroom has a queen size bed. The other bedroom has a queen size bed with a twin size loft. Available in each bedroom is a desk for remote workspace. The bathroom has a shower (no bathtub). There is a smart TV (no cable, but you can use your own login for various apps like Netflix), dvd player, and wifi. The kitchen is fully stocked with coffee maker, toaster, microwave, stove, oven, dishware, utensils, and pans. Linens and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels.

There is a patio in the front with seating and a pergola for shading. The backyard has a gas grill, picnic table, fire pit (wood not provided) and a fenced in yard for pets (fence 2.5' high). We are pet friendly for well behaved pets (pet fee required).

Bring your own boat to launch at nearby Hayes State Park. There is no overnight docking at the property, but the driveway is rather long if you plan to bring your own boat on a trailer. There are many lakes nearby, which are great for fishing in the summer and ice fishing in the winter.

Guest access
Across the street and a short walk from the the property is a shared, private lake access to Wamplers Lake. The access is perfect for launching kayaks (2 available at the house in the summer). If using kayaks, please wear life vests while on the water (2 provided). Kayak at your own risk. Please return kayaks, paddles and vests to the house where you found them when done.

In the summer, at the shared, private lake access, there is a transient dock/ boat slip that can be use for loading and unloading only. You will need to launch your own boat at nearby Hayes State Park, but you can load and unload people and supplies using the transient dock/ slip. Please stay no longer than 10 minutes at the dock/ slip. The other property owners use this same access point and dock. Absolutely no overnight boat or kayak parking at the shared, private lake access.

In the winter, the access is perfect for ice fishing. Just walk a short ways and get right onto the lake.

Please note, the lake access is shared among four other properties within the neighborhood.

Other things to note
Well behaved pets are welcome with a $20 fee. No more than 2 pets during a stay. Please disclose that you'll be bringing a pet before booking. We also ask that you pick up their waste (small grey trash bin outside back door for waste) and not leave them unattended outside on the property. No pets on the furniture.

Enjoy lake life with this 4-season, charming home appropriately named The Oar House, in historic Irish Hills, just a short walk to Vineyard Lake. Vineyard Lake is a stunning place to visit year-round. It's a 505 acre all-sports lake, and a winter treasure. It's a known ice fishing destination, with ice cover happening earlier and lasting longer than many lakes in the area.

The space
The Oar House features a double lot, providing our guests with ample room for barbecues, bonfires, and soaking up the fresh lake air. There's enough parking to bring your boat. The property's accessory building includes a screen room with plenty of seating, and a shed that houses various yard games and supplies. Our guests have access to the public boat launch (no dock access) and park, including play equipment for the kids.

The cozy, 1,200 sq. ft. home features four bedrooms (all on the 2nd floor), with sleeping space for 8 guests, one bathroom, a dedicated game and puzzle room, dining room, reading nook with a daybed/trundle for additional sleeping room, and a spacious living room with a large, comfortable sectional couch. The kitchen boasts ample storage for your vacation provisions, including a full-sized refrigerator, gas range, dishwasher, microwave, and a coffee bar stocked with enough supplies to kick your vacation off right. A washer and dryer are available, and there's also a clothes line in the yard for all of your beach towels and swimming suites to dry out.

Bring the fam/friend group (4 ppl!) to this charming rural lake community in Brooklyn’s Irish Hills. The neighborhood sits on a chain of 5 country lakes. We’re near the Michigan International Speedway, Hidden Lake Gardens, golf courses, antique stores, wineries, the Irish Hills Wedding Barn & the White Birch Wedding Barn. While the house isn’t lakefront, you can put in kayaks at a shared dock (see Property Details section). Or check our list for state parks/inland lakes w/ swimming areas.

The space
This suite—which includes 2 bedrooms, a living room, a full bath and a microwave/coffeemaker/mini fridge--is available during the fall, winter and spring. This 4-room suite is separated from the other side of the building by deadbolted interior doors. It also has access to an outdoor Weber grill and firepit.

The suite contains 2 queen sized beds, a portable fold out twin bed frame with mattress and a portable pack and play for your use.

The suite has both heat and AC and is programmed to maintain a comfortable 70 degree temperature. There are also overhead fans in both bedrooms and extra thick comfy blankets in the living room basket, in case of a cool Michigan morning. We are also very happy to adjust the programming promptly upon request if guests prefer a warmer or cooler standard.

Is the suite appropriate for long term vacation rentals, i.e. for those doing short term work in the area or exploring the area before moving here? Yes! Our area’s only hotel is a Super 8, so some guests prefer having access to a clean and private two-bedroom/living room AirBnB suite. Since the suite does not have a full kitchen, guests need to evaluate whether they can sufficiently prepare adequate meals via use of the outdoor grill, microwave or ordering takeout. Especially for those who primarily work and eat off site during the day and need a peaceful setting to enjoy during their time off, this fits the bill perfectly!

Looking for a larger space in the summer? We open up both sides of the building and rent the entire facility in our peak season (you can find this listed separately, when available).

**ABOUT LAKE ACCESS**

Option 1: SHARED DOCKS

*While you can see the chain of lakes from the upstairs window of the house, our yard is located approximately one block from the deeded shared docks (to access, you walk through an easement that crosses 2 nearby properties). We’ll be happy to show you the way!

*You will find a full flight of wooden steps that lead down to the docks that are shared between a few neighborhood homes. This area does not have a beach, so the best way to get into the water from the docks is to bring lightweight rafts or inflatable kayaks that can be easily carried down the flight of stairs. Please note: The items at the dock do not belong to us, but if your group is physically able, you are welcome to carry our 2 kayaks down the wooden steps to the water.

OPTION 2: BOAT LAUNCH
We also welcome you to transport our kayaks from the property to our lake chain’s boat launch or to other lakes in the region if you have an appropriate vehicle to transport them. We only ask you return them safely when finished. Please note: we do not provide bungees or straps, as every vehicle/roof rack is different, so please plan accordingly.

Option 3: Area Sand Bars
We’ll leave a list of other nearby lakeside areas with sand bar access. Hayes State Park is one such option that has a swimming area, rentable canoes & kayaks, a snack bar, public restrooms and a playground.

*This is a temporary vacation rental and is not available for permanent residence. Vacation renters must check out on the last day of their stay booked through AirBnB.

*One small dog or cat is permissible to bring providing you declare it on the reservation and pay the pet cleanup charge.

The house is in a partially wooded area. We come by regularly to pick up fallen sticks, leaves and acorns, but please watch your step as items like this can continue to fall during your stay — particularly after storms.

Please be cautious as you grab the bags/cornhole boards inside the shed if you’d like to play!

Our home is in a small subdivision of six homes. You will find this home to be extremely comfortable, and stocked with everything you might desire. On the main floor, you have the kitchen, living room, office, laundry room, and three bedrooms with one bath part of the master suite, and the other on the hallway leading to the bedrooms. The master bath has both a soaker tub and shower along with double sinks. The hallway bath has a shower/tub combo and a single sink with vanity. The office is equipped with a desk and the office can be closed up for work privacy. The kitchen has a small table that will seat four In front of windows where you can watch the birds at the birdfeeder or the hummingbird that frequents its feeder. The dining room has a table that can be extended and comfortably seat 10, although normally it is set for six. The living room has a loveseat with double recliners.
The lower level has a large recreation area with a pool table, air, hockey table, shuffleboard table, and a pinball machine. There is also a television and electric fireplace. There is a full bathroom that has an entry door from the recreation area or from the exercise room. The exercise room has an elliptical as well as yoga mats. The fourth bedroom is also on that level and enters into the recreation area.
There is a back deck with small patio table and chairs.

The entire space as described is yours to use. The two car garage will not be available to your use, and a portion of the lower level will also be locked and not available as this is a storage area for supplies.

The space
You will have private use of the lower level of the house with a full kitchen, bath, 3 pull-out sofas, 1 futon, and 2 queen beds. Theater seating and a large screen TV are in the saloon-themed living area. There is a sliding walk-out door and stairs leading down to the beach. Trails and hiking are in back. The new pickle ball/basketball court is down the drive.

The space
Our Lakehouse is directly on a lake, and it DOES NOT have central AC. That said, it often gets a wonderful breeze off the lake! Each room also has ceiling fans.

Guests can access all of the property except the garage, which is locked to guests.

Guests have access to abundant parking and yard space. We have a large lot directly on the lake, so please do not block or interfere with our neighbors use of their property.

WARNING: Shallow water. DO NOT dive off docks. All children must be accompanied by an adult when outside or near the lake.

SWIMMING AND BOATING IS AT GUEST OWN RISK. CHILDREN MUST NEVER BE LEFT UNATTENDED WHILE OUTSIDE OR AT THE LAKE FRONT. ABSOLUTELY NO DIVING OFF DOCKS. WARNING: WATER IS SHALLOW. Guests who book a stay at our Lakehouse (“Guests”) are fully responsible for their own actions and the actions of their guests - invited or uninvited. Guests are responsible for all injuries to persons or damage to property caused directly or indirectly by Guests or their guests or invitees. Absolutely no smoking inside our Lakehouse, or on our boat or any furniture we provide - including outdoor furniture.

Our Lakehouse includes a well-stocked kitchen for cooking, and we have a charcoal grill outside. If you’d like to use the charcoal grill we provide, please bring your own charcoal for your grilling needs.

As stated in the description, our Lakehouse is directly on the lake. As such, there are bugs outside and wildlife noises, and the lake is exactly that - a lake! It isn’t man-made or maintained (except that we do rake and maintain our beach area as best we can), and seaweed and other lake wildlife will wash ashore. As well, the lake has many turtles, fish and other wildlife who enjoy their lake habitats. Our end of Vineyard Lake is very shallow, which is great for swimming for some folks, and yet others who may want to swim in deeper water (to avoid lake/marine life!) can do so by floating out a ways on a raft (that you can provide) to where it gets deeper, or take a boat to deeper areas of the lake. The beach area is enjoyable by folks of all ages too, but keep in mind, it’s a lake! (And, if you don’t want to deal with lake-life, please don’t book our beautiful Lakehouse!!)

With permission, we do allow a well-behaved pet, provided Guests are fully responsible for any damage or injury to persons or property, such pet is not permitted on the furniture or in the beds, and they’re picked-up after in the yard - promptly. When permitted, we charge a $150 nonrefundable pet fee to cover potential costs that may be incurred by such pet.

Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.

We are located on US Highway 12 in the beautiful Irish Hills region of Onsted, MI. Our resort is located 10 minutes from Michigan International Speedway, within 15 minutes from over 50 Michigan lakes and the entrance to W.J. Hayes State Park is less than 1/4 mile away. If you are interested in swimming/sunbathing, water sports, hiking, off-roading, hunting/fishing, wine tasting, antiques, Nascar, photography, winter sports or simple bon fires and relaxing, Irish Hills has something for you.

Stagecoach Stop USA and Cowboy Creek Lodge Western Resort is on 22 acres and will make your stay feel as if you are in Northern Michigan. Each room is designed with a different up North theme. We have a playground, firepits, walking trails, a large pavilion and outdoor pool for your enjoyment. Grills are on the property for guests, plus an indoor full kitchen in our community room.

We specialize in wedding ceremonies and receptions, reunions, birthday and anniversary parties, dances, proms and large gatherings. Whatever the celebration may be, we have the venue and space for your party! Contact us for event and venue pricing.
