The kitchenette is stocked with everything you need, including cookware for the hotplate and microwave, air fryer, toaster, and crockpot, as well as dinnerware, glasses, and coffee mugs for four. Wake up to your morning brew with the provided Keurig coffee maker, along with starter coffee pods, tea bags, creamer, and sugar. An under-counter refrigerator with a small freezer adds convenience for longer stays, though you may need to replenish supplies during your visit.

Outdoor Bliss

During warmer months, the private courtyard is a delightful spot to enjoy coffee, wine, or beer at a bistro table, with string lights creating a romantic atmosphere. A citronella pot keeps pests at bay, and a grill is available for use during your stay.

Please note, since we are in a wooded area, you might want to bring some bug spray to enhance your comfort.

Our stay consisted of being on the lake most of the day and docking our boat at Onoville Marina. -We were able to get a dock for a few days and park our trailer in the marina parking lot. The driveway for the cabin could be difficult to back a trailer into, and you are on a hill as well. -You can walk to your dock from the cabin. the road was not too busy to cross, and you have good sight either way. If you needed to drive down, you would pay for parking for the day. A fantastic home base for boating on the lake. the cabin was so comfortable and inviting after a day out. We enjoyed the large porch to sit under and the new fireplace patio is really nice."

Other Things to Note:
Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is recommended during the winter months. We tend to get a lot of snow and do our best to keep the driveways clear. However, our driveways are hilly and may be difficult to get up them without four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. If you do get stuck please let us know, we do have the means to pull you out. Please be mindful that we can't assist between the hours of 8pm and 6am and there may be an extra fee if we assist multiple times during your stay.

Welcome to Forest Retreat! We are nestled in the hills of Western New York, just a 20 minute-drive to Jamestown. This unique home is located near several wedding venues and the Earl Cardot Overland Trail, which is surrounded by 2,300 acres of state forest. Our home is only 10 miles to home of Lucille Ball, and the National Comedy Center. We are located between 2 local ski resorts, and only 87 miles south of Niagara Falls State park.
Relax by the fire, fish, swim, and kayak in the 2 acre pond, and just enjoy the scenery. Our home is unique with a very relaxing atmosphere. All Guests can swim, and kayak in the pond with a signed waiver, and release form.

- "A lovely stay!" - "The house was beautiful with lots of character and was very comfortable. The private side porch was wonderful. The host was very attentive with texts messages and we had no issues. The upstairs has window AC units in both bedrooms and there is one window AC unit downstairs (but not in the bedroom). The grill works wonderfully and we did plenty of cooking out there. All the appliances worked. The jacuzzi tub in the master suite was nice. We had three cars in the driveway and with a little strategic parking was able to get it setup to where we didn't have to move any other car to get any of them out, so that was nice. Had a group of seven adults and although this advertises "sleeps seven", we had to use an air mattress for our seventh. There's a little spare room off the downstairs bathroom that worked great as a private fourth bedroom for the guy using the air mattress. I'm not really sure why they don't just put a bed in there. There are two queens and a trundle that has a full as the top bed. I'd say the max for adults would be six with no kids and maybe five with two kids. But as long as you know that going in, you're good. We knew we were going to need an air mattress and so we brought it. All good. We would absolutely stay there again even if we had to bring an air mattress again for the seventh."

Feel the crisp winter with wind in your helmet and snow on your tongue as you hit the tumultuous snowmobile trails of the Southern Tier! After a day of riding the trails, curl up next to the fire pit and a bottle of wine watching the snow glisten as it gently falls atop the bountiful hills. For the parents looking for a less than ordinary vacation, give your kids the experience of a lifetime with a weekend stay! Power down the cell phones, ipads, and electronics and get to know Mother Nature! Our cabins are cozy and spacious enough for friends and family to enjoy a comfortable getaway! And nothing will beat catching that morning sunrise out on the deck while breathing in the cool, crisp, clean air!

This cabin has a fire pit and gas grill.

You will also have access to our explore our trails and visit our farm animals at the Cabins at Farrington Hollow which is just a short 3 minute drive from the cabin.

Please note that we have cable but do not have wifi at this time. However, there is cellular service at the cabin.

Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is recommended during the winter months. We tend to get a lot of snow and do our best to keep the driveways clear.

With only 17 miles to Ellicottville, 20 miles to the Seneca Allegany Casino, 21 miles to the National Comedy Center and Lucille Ball/Desi Arnaz Museum. You'll want to come to this quaint town over and over again.
