We are situated nearly right on Kings Bay, just 1 house in on a freshwater canal.

Experience Florida's Nature Coast in our brand new remodeled interior from floor to ceiling. Our relaxing vacation home is featured on an over-sized corner lot that is approximately 3/4 acre. The lot is full of shade trees. Our home is a spacious two bedroom with two bathrooms. It comfortably accommodates 6 people. Aside from the open tiled kitchen/living/dining area, we have a sunroom offering sweeping views of the freshwater canal, a screened in patio, and a screened lanai with your own private use pool. We offer streaming smart tvs available to accommodate all of your favorite streaming apps, wireless internet.

Our visitors enjoy the tranquility that our home offers. It is very common to see manatees slowly making their way through our canal along with an occasional dolphin or otter sighting!! There are several species of birds that come to feed in our yard that can be viewed through our sunroom and back screened patio. This home is located near the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in a residential neighborhood.

We have plenty of room to park your vehicles and boat trailers in the long driveway or in the yard. There is also a covered carport for your vehicle.

We do offer 3 single seater kayaks and a paddleboard here at the home at no additional cost to you, along with paddles and life jackets.
The home comes completely stocked with kitchen utensils, cookware, bed linens, towels and washcloths, and cleaning materials. There is a full washer/dryer here for your use and we keep you stocked with laundry detergent. All you need to bring are your personal toiletries and food!!

There is a county boat ramp with rest rooms and picnic area about 4 miles down Fort Island Trail n.Fort Island Gulf Beach is 6 miles away on Ft. Island trail.

The area is perfect for swimming with the manatees and swimming in nearby springs. 3 Sisters and King Spring are within paddling distance all in a no wake or slow speed zone, so no need to worry about high speed boats on the way.

Come relax and escape from it all in real Florida. The Ozello keys are a string of islands on Floridas nature coast that are fully accessible by car. Nestled between Homosassa Springs and Crystal River. This 2 bedroom/ 2 bath stilt home sits on a peninsula. It is fully furnished with all of the creature comforts of home including linens, dishes, spices, etc. It has a full kitchen, washer, dryer, 2 x flat screen TV's, wifi, Netflix, DVD player, grill, and covered parking. It can sleep a maximum of 7 with a queen bed in each bedroom, a full size electric air mattress, and a twin size sleeper loveseat in the master bedroom. There are 2 elevated decks outside to enjoy as well as a large fire pit down by the water to make memories at. Also included are 3 kayaks for your use as well as limited fishing equipment and tackle. Kayaks and small boats can be used from the back yard. There is not a dock and due to a low bridge most boats can not get from the gulf to the house . Boat ramp and marina is less than 1.5 miles away. Lots of things to do if you are looking for activities. Year round there is great fishing and nature watching from the back yard as well as seeing dolphin and manatees wondering through. Go down to the marina and see the area on an airboat tour. A quick trip up the road for a meal at either Backwater Fins or the historic Pecks restaurant. Maybe go explore Homosassa Springs and Crystal River, each about 10 miles away, there is always something going on. Little over an hour from Tampa or Orlando. Must be ok with friendly dogs because neighbor dogs will almost always come over to say hi. No gatherings or events over 12 people. Dogs are allowed with a fee but they cannot jump on or sleep on the furniture. This may waive your deposit. There is a small elevator but has been disconnected and cannot be used by guests for liability reasons.

This home on a canal boasts easy access to the St. Martins River with river views out front. There are no bridges or speedzones from the house to the Gulf. The home itself is completely updated, with new floors, kitchen cabinets, a new wrap around porch, and gravel driveway. More pictures with furniture are coming in the next few weeks.

This furnished 2 bedroom/2bath home sits on a canal that leads straight to the St. Martins River with easy access to the Gulf plus Homosassa Springs and Crystal River Springs without all the boat traffic of those areas. Great access to snorkeling, fishing, and scalloping.
Enjoy the scenery from the porch deck and grill up your catch on the propane grill located on the property.
Full Kitchen that is fully stocked with all the pots, pans and dishes you need to truly relax and enjoy the sites of Ozello Keys. There is also a Washer and Dryer located in house for you to use during your stay.

***SCALLOPING***

Scallop season in Citrus County is July 1 through September 24. Please visit the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission website to ensure you have all current information and rules for the season. Ozello is a perfect location if you want to get to the scallop grounds quickly. You can expect a 20-30 minute drive to the scallop grounds (depending on motor size), compared to an hour drive from Crystal River and Homosassa. There are several tour guides in the area if you don't have your own boat.

***BOATING****

If you are considering bringing your boat, please note that Ozello waters are not as deep as Crystal River and Homosassa. Deep V boats are questionable during the summer months and most likely out of the question during the winter low tides. If you are concerned about your boat not being a good fit please reach out. There are also local guides available that will take you out if you do not feel comfortable navigating the waters.

***FOOD/RESTURANTS***

Grocery Stores are located about 20 minutes away and you can use Publix Instant Cart to delivery to the location. There are three restaurants on the island itself so you never have to leave. Pecks Old Port Cove is the farthest away at mile marker 9 (we are at 6). The sunsets at Pecks are the best on the island, please check their facebook page for current daily closings. The Island Outpost is a local favorite they have a small store to purchase items and gas from and have an amazing Breakfast. Within walking distance of the house is Backwater Fins. They have a full bar and typically have live music on the weekends, as well as indoor and outdoor seating.

*CAMERAS
This property uses motion censored cameras at front door and back door. These cameras only point to outside areas. These are meant to deter and prevent any unlawful activity. Also, this allows the host to monitor laborers such trash pickup, lawn maintenance, pest control etc.

*PEST CONTROL
Well, this is Florida and controlling unwanted bugs is always challenging. This home is cared for and managed by a professional pest control company on a quarterly basis. We do our best to keep doors and windows closed to keep unwanted pests outside! However, we cannot guarantee you will not encounter a curious creature during your stay. Keeping food cleaned up inside and out is definitely the best thing you can do to help us in this area. Please message host if you feel there is a problem.

*SAFETY
This property is located on a beautiful canal. At low tide there can be as much as an 6-8' drop off from the seawall into the canal. We ask that you please be mindful of young children and make sure they are supervised at all times. We also have plenty of wildlife in the area that could potentially be dangerous. Never leave children outside alone.
This is NOT a child-proof home.

- "What a great little cottage on a canal that (eventually) feeds into Kings Bay! The property is part of a duplex, but felt private. It's close to Rt. 98 (a thoroughfare in Crystal River) in one direction and to Fort Island Beach (tiny beach on Crystal Bay) in the other direction. Convenient to everything without being right in the of suburbia. Key Lime Cottage was super clean and new. Love the vibe of decor. The master bed was really comfortable. It had plenty of thoughtful amenitites inside and out, even kayaks, bikes, and fishing rods! We weren't there enough to hang outside, but the picnic table, fire pit, lounge chairs, fish cleaning area, and little boat launch ramp are all great features. Vicki had suggested going to Crystal River Preserve State Park when I asked her about seeing wildlife. It's a zoo of sorts, where they care for unreleasable native wildlife.It's not fancy, but I happened across a rescuer treating one of their manatees and she spent a lot of time teaching the small crowd about them. And there were plenty of other amazing animals. It was not "manatee season" in Crystal River, so we did not swim with the manatees. We did drive about 30 minutes and kayaked Rainbow River, which was spectacular. We also drove about an hour to funky Cedar Key for a great clam and oyster dinner and sunset.
