Our Bungalow on Baker Street has been a favorite destination since 2014. Private Bungalow on a 1/4-acre lot has been beautifully redecorated and fully modernized. Located in the heart of Mt. Dora on a picturesque and quiet street. It is just a 5-minute walk (0.4) to downtown and all shops. It is 2 bedrooms; one has a queen bed and the other is full size. Also, we have a full-size sleeper sofa. Small dogs are allowed with prior approval. No parties or events allowed.

This unique property is at the end of E. 5th Ave in a quiet neighborhood with a conservation area on one side and Lake in the back. It is in a quiet neighborhood yet walking distance to Mt. The Uptown Nature Retreat is accessed on the left side of the house next to the Conservation area with lots of butterflies and birds. As you walk into the house you are in the living room with dining area and access to the screened in back porch. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of counter space and a counter seating area for dining. The livIng room has a large screen TV with a DVD, Netflix and Amazon Prime. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, full bath and a sitting area with TV. A second bedroom has twin beds and it’s own full bath with shower and separate door to the outside.
The large back porch overlooks a huge fenced in yard overlooking Lake Franklin and is a great place to relax in the morning with a cup of tea or coffee or have a cocktail in the afternoon. The house is shaded by large oak trees that keep the house cool and comfy. A washer and dryer is also available for your use.
Lake Franklin is a private lake and a Great Lake to fish or canoe or kayak in. I don’t have kayaks at this time but feel free to bring your own.
We love pets that are well behaved and house trained and charge 25$ per pet per stay.

The Country Club of Mount Dora is located in the rolling hills of the Lake County golf community in Lake County, Florida, only 50 minutes northwest of downtown Orlando. Adding to the overall playing experience and beauty of this picturesque Lake County golf course, water was built into its design by the Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design team in 1991, and it comes into play on 16 holes. The raised greens are guarded by strategically placed sand traps and water, and offer a challenging target for both the accomplished player and the recreational golfer alike.

The drive to Orlando is about one hour, having a chance to enjoy Disney World, Universal Studios, Epcot, Wet n Wild, Sea World, Adventure Land, and many other theme parks. The Orlando International Airport is also about 1 hour away. We use Sunpass for tolls, which I would highly suggest you but/rent. Go to their website for more info. Also, our grocery stores and pharmacy stores sell these sunpasses. You will have to activate them and transfer money to the account.

On the other hand, driving to Daytona Beach is about a 1.5 hour drive and is a very nice beach. Tubing, Canoeing, or swimming in Wekiva River is only 30 minutes away.

If you want to go boating, you can rent a tour or a boat in downtown Mount Dora. Take a tour through the famous Mount Dora Canal and see alligators, Blue Herons, Turtles, Osprey, and other wildlife among the cypress trees. Or just walk around downtown Mount Dora enjoying their boutique shops and restaurants.

Walmart is about 3 miles and is great for groceries and personal items you may need for your stay. In that same area you will find lots of restaurants, Aldi's, Starbucks, and other essentials. Lowes hardware store is 1 mile away.

Welcome to my home! I purchased the property in 2020 from a friend when she decided to sell. I spent many years coming down for Thanksgiving, love spending time here and think others will as well!

The home was built in 1927. When you walk into the house, you'll be greeted by the living room. There is seating for four people with two love seats across from each other. The room includes a Smart TV with a Blu-Ray DVD player. Feel free to log in to your favorite streaming service and enjoy your shows! Please note that I do not have any TV service. There is a fireplace but it does not work and cannot be used.

Just off the living room is the Sun Room. I've set this room up with a small table and chairs for paying cards or board games. You will find these games in the cabinet when you walk in.

The dining room is just off the other side of the living room with seating for 6 people. Between the dining room and the kitchen is a small desk for you to use if you need. I also have a wireless HP printer that you can use to print if needed.

I've recently updated half of the kitchen with new cabinets, sink, countertop and added a dishwasher. There is a new gas stove and newer French door fridge. If you continue past the fridge, you will find the washer and dryer for your use as well. Just past that, you will find the back door leading out to the rear porch. I've screened in the rear porch and it has a small bistro table with two seats. PLEASE NOTE - the back porch no longer has a screen door on it. I am in the process of having that replaced so for time being it's not fully sealed off. It's a great place to sit outside and enjoy the warm weather Off of the rear porch is the backyard that is fenced in.

Each bedroom will hold two people - the master bedroom has one double bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. I've installed blackout curtains in both of the rooms ensuring a great night’s sleep! Each bedroom has a TV and Blu Ray player that connects to the internet for streaming using your favorite streaming service. Please note I do not have any tv service in the house.

The house has central heating and A/C with ceiling fans in most all the rooms.

At the end of the bedroom hallway is the bathroom. It includes a sink, toilet and a claw foot tub with a shower. Please use the step stool and/or cane to get in and out of the tub.

One thing you will notice is that I am into commercial airlines. On most of the walls you will find retro airline ads as well as various airplane models. I have been collecting these items since I was just a child and follow the industry very closely.

Historic Mt Dora is a wonderful place to walk through the streets, see the quaint shops and have an amazing meal! It's about a 15 to 20 mins walk from the house and is basically straight down the road. Downtown is located next to the lake and has a great parks and trails that you can enjoy during the day.

Don't want to walk that far? Right around the corner from the house are a few restaurants as well. Jeremiah's is a personal favorite, and the fried chicken dinner is awesome! 7 mins by car will bring you over to Vincent's Italian, get the Tour of Italy, it's amazing! 5 mins by car is large Publix Grocery Store with a Liquor Store attached. 15 mins by car will get you to a Walmart and Target.

I do allow pets but please note that while the backyard is fenced in, most dogs and cats can easily get under or over the fence. I just ask that you also pick up after your pet. Any damages to the furniture will be charged to have it repaired or replaced.

I also allow smoking on the back porch and the backyard. Please close the back door first. If there is any smoking inside the house, there will be a $250 fee added.

This is a small apt. that is fully furnished on the top floor of our barn, it approx. 800 sq. feet and roomy, lots of light from many windows. It has been recently updated and has new floors, paint and decor. The apt. is located on our quiet country organic blueberry/blackberry farm and distillery. Plenty of parking for your car/truck or boat. WE ARE ONLY 10 Minutes away from UF Health Leesburg Hospital. We are only about 30 minutes South from The Villages (retirement capital of the world). The apt. is an open flat concept it has one bedroom with one bath/two beds and a full kitchen. Tavares, the Seaplane Capital of the World is right next door.

THE SPACE.....
We renovated our Lakeside Hideaway with comfort and privacy in mind. Our property is one house behind the shores of Lake Dora.

The Guest Suite has a garden view to enjoy watching and listening to the many colorful bird species serenade you every morning while you have your coffee. Take in the show at the bird feeders and the bird bath from your window. Our half acre property has tropical fruit trees, a veg garden, beautiful native florals, butterflies and comedic squirrels. Get away from the big city rat race and relax "Old Florida" style.

Our guests ALWAYS compliment us on how CLEAN our Guest Suite is. We take pride in our home and love to share our high standards with others. Many of our guests also rave about the COMFORT of our heated queen size bed. The thermal blackout curtains will make sure you keep warm in winter and cool in the summer. They also provide for a great nights sleep. We have a great AC with a remote control that has a dehumidifying function as well. It is really great especially during our wet season to keep you extra cool. In addition to that we added a bedside dehumidifier if you prefer to use that instead. We are meticulous about pest control so no worries there.

The Guest Suite is a bedroom, big closet, hallway and a big bathroom with a separate private entrance from the outside. It has a mini fridge, microwave and a Keurig Coffeemaker.

The Guest Suite is separated from the main house by a sealed door with a deadbolt. No one has a bedroom or lives on the other side of the adjoining dead bolted door. It is a formal living room that we rarely use. The only occupants in the main house are my husband, myself and our fur baby Bella a very spoiled 11 year old Chihauhau. Our living quarters are on the opposite side of the main house at least 800 feet away from the adjoining door of the Guest Suite. You can be assured It is very private and quiet. We have all the latest technology; Fast reliable WIFI for those who are traveling remote workers and a ROKU TV.

We also have an outdoor seating area under a shade tree with a partial view of the lake, where you can relax and enjoy the Florida weather. On those chilly winter nights (chilly by Florida standards...lol), we like to occasionally build a bon fire and get to know our guests if they choose to join us. We live in an extremely safe neighborhood. We have safe parking, and security cameras throughout the exterior of the property for your safety.

GUEST ACCESS...
This is a half acre lot so outside the door there is a lot of green space. There are chairs to sit in and enjoy the sun and nature or just have morning coffee. One of the seating areas at the main entrance has a partial view of the lake across the street on Lakeshore Drive. There is a pool on the property but it is not available for guest use. It requires renovations to be compliant for public use. It is for our private use only.

There are private boat docks all along Lake Dora that belong to our neighbors. We kindly ask our guests not to use them. We are thankful that our neighbors are supportive of us sharing our home with our guests, so we are very mindful of not intruding on their privacy or their private property. Guests are welcome to walk or bike ride along the lake on the public road. There are public spots for lake access that we will happy to share with you when you book.

SEASONAL COMFORTS...
We are diligent with pest control and for those pesky months we have mosquito lanterns and upon request, we can burn mosquito repellent coils for you while you're sitting outside. For winter we add a heated mattress pad with dual controls on the bed and make sure you have extra bedding, in addition to remote control heaters. We have also installed thermal blackout curtains in the bedroom to keep your warm or extra cool during those hot summer nights. The AC's in the Guest Suite also has a Dry setting to combat the Lakeside humidity especially during our wet season.

We have thought of everything for you! As lifetime Floridians we know the drill so you don't need to.

No worries we provide free parking. Don't want to bother with the hassle of finding downtown parking? Take a 5 minute Uber ride downtown and enjoy seeing Mount Dora on a Segway or maybe a scenic boat tour. Or, how about a Seaplane Tour? It's all within 5 to 10 minutes away. If you're a bike riding enthusiast downtown is a 1 mile bike ride away.

Do not leave uncleaned dishes overnight in the sink.
Due to the fact that we are on a septic system, nothing other than the human waste and toilet paper may be flushed down the toilet.
Almost everything on the property is available for use (except groceries/spices) just return everything to the way it was when you found it once you are done using an item or space.
No outside foot wear allowed inside home, so you and other guests don't have dusty floor to deal with during the stay.
Try to minimize eating/drinking on bed in the bedrooms to avoid stains and infestation with pests.
Do not leave drinking glasses/bottles or any broken glasses open in the common areas.
Be cognizant of TV/piano sounds when other guests are around ( 2 other bedrooms).

Your experience begins as you leave the paved road and take a short journey down a narrow, tree lined country lane, which is just rugged enough to make you realize: Hey, I'm in the country! Nestled on the shore of a tranquil, semi private lake you will find a welcoming space to just relax, inside or out. Your suite is designed with the comforts of home to ensure that your stay is enjoyable. It's a quaint, rural location, but 20 minutes from shopping/eating areas.

The space
Your space is a well appointed room with your own entrance, and your own private full bathroom. Your room comes complete with a dining area, refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster and single serve coffee maker. You can enjoy your Roku TV from your comfy bed or lounge chair. Enjoy complimentary snacks and coffee, or filtered water. Fast internet allows you freedom to use your laptop & devices.

Guest access
When you venture outside, you will discover many options for relaxing. There is the hammock swing, under a majestic oak tree, that overlooks the lake. Relax on the back patio, with it's colorful shade sails and tropical plants. Take a refreshing swim in the above ground pool, sit around the picnic table, or sun yourself in a lounge chair. There is a fire pit available to enjoy as well. A charcoal grill is available for you to use, so that you can enjoy an outdoor dining experience.
The front of the property has two more opportunities for relaxation. There is fish pond, complete with colorful fish and a functioning waterfall feature. The soothing sound can be enjoyed from the pergola, with it's glider swing and chairs, or the flower garden chair under the shade of an oak tree.
The pergola also has another fire pit, which can be used for marshmallow or hot dog roasting.
If you are feeling adventurous, you can choose our kayak and explore the 15 acre lake. You can even fish for the largemouth bass, bluegills, or speckled perch which inhabit the lake! Bring your own fishing gear, or the equipment and tackle we have. You may bring back a fresh catch for your next meal!
Because you are in the country, away from city lights, you can enjoy stargazing on clear nights, and maybe even see a rocket launch, which are often seen from the back yard.
All of this is designed with one thing in mind... a relaxing adventure for you in your country oasis!

They present some challenging par 3's and the occasional par 4, with three sets of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of different skill levels. You pay resident rates for greens fees at the 11 Championship 18 hole courses. Waterfront House with 2 rooms for rent, most affordable Villages luxury! Enjoy the beautiful views and serenity from the front and back porches. There is no access to the garage or kitchen, except for filtered water from the sink and the dishwasher. Please note there is a surveillance/security camera present on the doorbell and in the kitchen. Also, We have a very quiet and well behaved Shitsu doggie that does not shed and is non-allergenic/hypoallergenic. She stays out of the guest wing, especially if the door to the guest wing is shut.

Please think of it like renting an efficiency, since we provide kitchen supplies and cooking options that can be used inside the rooms and in the screened in patios. We are providing a low priced option for people to experience the villages, and hoping they are content with a private room and a beautiful backyard and screened in patio that also has a TV, a gas grill, a gas fire pit, and several lounge areas.

The pond behind our house is mostly dry at the moment.

Enjoy access to the common areas, front and back patios, silverware, plates, bowls, glasses. There are miniature refrigerators and microwaves in each room. There is a gas grill available, with a gas burner, cooking supplies provided for it.

Basically, we provide utensils and dishes inside each room, with the option to use an electric skillet, coffee maker, and electric kettle inside each room. The idea is for each guest room to be mostly self sufficient. Dishes can be put in our dishwasher.

Donna likes to cook and maintain her freedom and space, so we are transitioning into less of a shared home and more like renting an efficiency, since we provide kitchen supplies and cooking options that can be used inside the rooms and in the screened in patios. We are providing a low priced option for people to experience the villages, and hoping they are content with a private room and a beautiful backyard and screened in patio that also has a TV, a gas grill, a gas fire pit, and several lounge areas.
