We never felt cramped or on top of each other. The teens loved the downstairs game room. The living room had a nice TV for watching movies. The views from the balcony of the lake were absolutely beautiful. We had everything we needed while we were there. I had a couple of questions about things and they were answered very promptly. Keep in mind that this is a very large estate (230 acres!) that requires many types of maintenance—occasionally you may see staff outside on the property (landscape/gardening, cleaning staff, etc), however no one will enter your indoor guest areas during your stay. This mansion was designed as two completely private and independent homes. The guest home (built into the hill!) is more than 4600 sq ft inside. Ms. Myra lives in her home on the upper floors of the building and may or may not be at the property during your stay. In any case, there is no overlap between these two homes and you will have complete privacy, including sound!

The huge screened porch area with the lounge sofas and grill was a highlight. The pool is also enclosed which is a huge plus. We didn’t get to fish but the lake was beautiful and there is nothing like seeing water and trees in the morning. The inside feels very luxurious but also comfortable with tons of space to spread out, and it was extremely clean despite all of the space and rooms. Took less than 15 mins to Mt Dura which is a great weekend getaway any day of the week. Love love love it!"

- "The fees were as much as the rental. Very disappointed." - "everything was pretty clear in the online listing. No complaints to speak of. My only suggestion would be to have a few plastic cups so you don't have to have glass by the pool. The property itself is beautiful and the screen porch was a nice option." - "We had the opportunity to spend a whole month renting this home. We enjoyed the aspect of being in a quiet and rural setting, and although the adjacent roadway can be a bit busy, the house is quite soundproof and quiets down at night. There are dogs in the neighborhood who get riled up during the nights at times, with lots of barking. The house is roomy with plenty of space to read or watch TV, and the kitchen was easy to navigate. There are not restaurants or stores close by so we cooked dinner nearly every night. The appliances throughout the home were beautiful, but we frequently used the barbecue outside. Although there were several chairs by the pool, there was not a patio table to eat at, so we sat at the kitchen counter instead. This was a great location to spend a winter month and explore Lake County, close to Mount Dora, Eustis and Ocala National Forest. The owners were on a different part of the property, and were responsive to any questions we had. We enjoyed renting this home."

The Lake House has a Cozy coastal vibe. It’s on a quiet spring-fed Lake in Umatilla Florida. This charming home is newly built and fully furnished with up-to-date amenities and utilities. With 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, our comfortable home has room for the whole family! The Primary and Secondary bedrooms both have views overlooking the Lake with doors in each room for private entrance/exit onto the back patio. Our large furnished patio is complete with a pergola, fire pit, gas grill, and large outdoor shower with hot and cold water. The home sits on a large rolling backyard which ends at a private sandy beach and a small private dock. Two canoes and a kayak are all available for use. Relax and unwind on the lounge chairs and admire the beautiful sunrises and sunsets (which are both visible from the property's backyard) over the lake. Two fire pits for when outdoor activities and group fun continue into evenings gathered by the warm light of the fire. The property is a short bike ride to the quaint Town of Umatilla with a coffee shop, an ice cream parlor with homemade ice cream, a delicious Mexican restaurant. It's a 10-minute drive to Eustis and a 15-minute drive to the Vibrant downtown Mount Dora. Restaurants w cuisine from all over the world ! Both have amazing unique shopping and festivals all year long.We are a 15 min drive to Ocala National Forest and many of the area's most beautiful natural springs. Florida's famous East Coast beaches, New Smyrna and Daytona are 1hr and 15 drive. North Lake Community is 10 mins and The Big House athletic complex is just 25 minutes away - We are also just an hour's drive to the Disney Parks, Universal Studios, and Sea World -the house is located close enough to drive to all these places but also just far enough out of town to slow down and have a restful and recharging day. The house sits at the end of the street which ends in a culdesac, It is a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood with very little traffic - a public boat ramp and a larger dock just a quarter of a mile away from the property.
