I'm offering a completely remodeled Railroad caboose located at 227 Lake June Dr. Lake Placid Fl. 33852. right next to the railroad tracks in the cutest little town you never heard of, Lake Placid Florida. The train passes by 5 days a week. The caboose has an addition on the back deck with a full bath and stacking washer dryer. There is a full kitchen and a barbecue grill. 2 TVs, high-speed internet and cable. There is a short queen Murphy bed and a mini split air condition / heater. You can go to YouTube and type in... "Simpsonville Station Caboose," for a short video tour.

Lake Placid is a quaint little town located about 120 miles south of Tampa in the center of the state on highway 27. The next closest town would be Sebring. It is 15 mi north of Lake Placid and best known for the 12-hour races at Sebring.
Lake Placid has 29 named lakes, so fishing and water sports are enjoyed by many who come to visit.

Lake Placid is also known as "The Caladium Capital of the World" You will see Caladiums growing in many of the flower beds around town, and the bulbs can be purchased from local vendors.

Another enjoyable feature of this cute little town are the 49 murals painted on sides of buildings. They are magnificent, and most are within walking distance. You can pick up a mural magazine at the chamber of commerce building where they also show a 10 minute video of some history of the town and murals.

Another great place to visit would be the old Lake Placid Atlantic Coastline Depot. The Historical Societies Railroad Museum is a great learning experience for all who visit.

There are parks, restaurants, and golf courses, something for everyone. So come spend a couple nights in the Railroad Caboose at the Simpsonville Station. Explore the lovely town of Lake Placid and take with you a lifetime of memories.

Imagine fishing off the boat dock while watching the orange sunsets from while enjoying a just renovated cottage. Features a fully private outdoor shower, shuffle board table and views for days! We are situated on the premier sandy bottom Lake June in Winter, a large 3,500-acre spring-fed recreation lake. The expansive porch allows relaxing and watching the view.

We have installed a mosquito misting system to keep away the pesky mosquitos, midges and other lake bugs so you can come and enjoy your stay and spend more time outdoors.

There are two restaurants within a minute from the house - Jackson's on the Lake and Dock 633. There are several wineries and breweries in the area as well as a quaint downtown area that holds a weekly Saturday Morning Farmer's market.

Lake Placid's downtown is growing with very cute local restaurants and shops as well as a 30 min ride to Sebring. We are 2 hours from Orlando if you want to head to the theme parks.

Things to Know:
Two kayaks and a docking buoy available for a jetski.
There are four dock chairs, three loungers and beach towels for guest use.
There is an assortment of vests in the guest closet for use.
Boat Lifts are not available for use, but a boat can be tied up against the side of the dock.

This is a lake home, and at times we have lake midges. They are harmless but can be pesky.

There are 3 outdoor security cameras. One faces the road to cover the driveway, one faces the dock and covers the sea wall area, and a ring doorbell. There are not any security cameras inside or that face inside the home for our renter's privacy.

No smokers.
One small pet is allowed and must be disclosed in the booking. We charge $100 extra pet fee to allow for extra cleaning, sanitation and home preparation for a pet.

Absolutely no parties. There is a maximum capacity of 6 people unless otherwise communicated with the host. If the host approves, additional persons may visit over the 6 person capacity. This is at the host's discretion.

Important: Guests should be aware that the property is on an open body of water with no fencing at the water’s edge. For liability and safety reasons, children under 3 years old are not permitted.

I have to stress this, there is No smoking allowed anywhere on the property inside or outside. If you smoke you will need to look elsewhere.

This is the South side of my duplex and it is a 2/2 with a Queen in the master, and 2 twins in the second bedroom. The master bathroom has a large shower, and the second bath has a full size tub. New flooring, A/C, doors, fridge, stove, TV, and more. It has Comcast Business internet for running multiple streaming TVs, laptops, and whatever else you may bring. It is fully furnished, ready to be enjoyed as a relaxing vacation home.

Sebring is located in Highlands County. Here in the center of the Sunshine State, you’ll find crystal clear lakes for fishing, boating, skiing and sailing, and more than a dozen golf courses that will suit your skills and challenge level.
