Stay in Wall Lake's newest rental! Slow down and enjoy the peace and serenity of country living. This property gives you a unique mix of lake life and farm life (though there are no farm animals yet). The lot features a 2-acre backyard (with an 1800s barn and room for plenty of activities), a beautiful lake view, and lake access to Wall Lake right on the property. The Rental Space

The rental includes a spacious living room/kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need to cook and enjoy meals. You can enjoy dinner together at the dining room table, which seats four. The coffee table has board games under it that you can enjoy. Forget to bring a book for your trip? The TV stand has books in it for you to read. The TV is connected to streaming with ROKU. It's already signed in to Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, and Disney+. The TV stand has a built-in electric fireplace that you can use for cozy winter nights. There are two bedrooms both with queen beds. One bedroom gives you a view of the lake while the other gives you a view of the woods. The bathroom features a Bluetooth light that you can use to sing along to your favorite songs in the shower. The Backyard

The backyard is a wide open space that's great for yard games. We have horseshoe pits with horseshoes. We also have ladder ball, bocce, croquette, and Jarts. You can use our yard games or bring your own to enjoy. The backyard also has a firepit. You can admire the barn in the backyard, but we ask that you don't go inside of it. There was a leak in the roof and the floor needs to be repaired. There is a hot tub, grill, and dining table available on our deck, which your free to use, but that will be a shared space.

The Lake

Wall Lake is 540 acres and the average depth is 15-20 feet. Many of the residents enjoy fishing. We have steps going right into the lake. The lake ground around our frontage is sandy. We have 2 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, and a paddleboat available for guests to use. In the winter you can ice fish or ice skate once the lake freezes. If you're interested in doing winter activities on the lake, you can check in with us ahead of time and we can let you know if the lake is frozen.

Delton has the most inland lakes out of any other city in Michigan. You could stay for a week and try out a different lake each day. The rental is 15 minutes away from the Yankee Springs recreation Recreation Area. Yankee Springs boasts 30 miles of hiking trails across 5,200 acres. Allegan Event is a great place to take the kids or kids at heart. It's 30 minutes away from the rental and is the largest indoor ropes course in Michigan. We enjoyed being on the lake with a beach and dock with the rental pontoon boat. The water in Long Lake was so clear and clean - really lovely! Also the yard, deck and fire pit were great for enjoying the outdoors and the lake, the sunset and the stars, swimming and kayaking (We also rented two additional two-person kayaks from the Gun Lake Marina about 20 minutes away transporting them on our car roof racks, because we love to kayak.), and fishing up and down the lake. The house had good hang out space indoors and for dining and food prep. Bottled water always chilled made things easy. Sleeping rooms were as represented and comfortable. Also it was great looking out on the ripening fruit trees in the front lawn. The pears were nearly all gone but various types of apples were abundant and a few peaches were still on the tree. The neighborhood was friendly. We walked the dog up and down the road which provided a decent distance for a people walk or a dog walk. Owners were accessible and responsive. We had a very enjoyable stay!"

Off the living room is a four seasons room which is perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning, playing board games, or relaxing and reading in the cool breeze off the lake. The main floor also has a large bedroom with a gorgeous view of the lake. Both a full bathroom with shower/tub and half bath are centrally located on the main level. - "We had a great time! Lots of beds and clean bedding for sleeping. The views from the deck were a favorite feature, as well as the water access of course! The dining room table was large and allowed for us to have a puzzle going, and still had space for people to eat! Easy to put a kayak in the water and paddle around. Lots of gorgeous lily pads and really easy for kiddos to catch small blue gills off the dock! The sofa and a recliner had some dirt/stains, so we covered them with blankets. Some of the kitchen utensils and drawers could use a good cleaning or replacing. All in all, we really enjoyed ourselves and had a great time!"

The house features a full kitchen with two refrigerators, two dishwashers, and everything you'll need to prepare a feast. Two well-equipped office spaces allow guests to plug in to monitors, keyboards and computer mice. The large, third-floor loft offers a slumber party for the kids, and a dog run traverses the backyard so Fido can to join in the fun!

About the house:

DOWNSTAIRS: Enter through the den where our comfy leather reclining chairs and sofas double as charging stations for your devices, then head through the fully-equipped kitchen, which has pots, pans, casserole dishes, a slow-cooker, a blender, a waffle maker and more. The attached dining area features ample seating including a large dining table, a smaller table (perfect for jigsaw puzzles) and pair of lounge chairs overlooking the lake.

UNPLUG and UNWIND: This house has no TV but it has decent free wifi so bring any screens you'll need with you.

NOTE: All of the bathrooms are on the second floor so this house is not ideal for people with limited mobility. Keep an eye on small children.

THE DECKS: The back deck features an outdoor dining table, two folding chaise chairs that can be brought to the fire pit, a swinging hammock chair and a gas grill. The fire deck has a fire pit and a pair of inviting Adirondack chairs looking out over the lake. It's a great spot for yoga! A hammock hangs nearby.

THE BOAT DOCK: Sit on the waterside bench, or take one of our kayaks out to the inflatable swim island. Guests who've brought fishing gear have told us they've caught bluegill, crappie and bullhead. Fish off the dock, or from a kayak or paddle board. Three single kayaks and a paddle board will be available from Memorial Day until late September.

NOTE ABOUT SWIMMING: Our lake fills with lily pads and other plants in the summer so swimming close to shore isn't ideal. We've cut a path through the lily pads that leads out to an inflatable swim island in clear water. Take kayaks and inflatable swim rafts out to the island to splash all day. If plants grow too close to our anchored inflatable island (or if birds leave a mess), we have a foam swimming pad that's easy to bring farther out. Just unroll and enjoy. We have four kid-sized life jackets, three adult life jackets (one XL) and a toddler life jacket.

OFFICE: Need to stay connected with the office? We have two work areas where you can plug in to a monitor and keyboard with USB or USB-C hookups. Our private office on the first floor has a laptop stand and sit/stand desk overlooking the front porch. A futon in this room offers another sleeping area (note that the office is on the first floor but the bathrooms are upstairs).

UPSTAIRS: You'll find the foosball table in the common area, a cozy reading nook with a light and a curtain that can close to create a semi-private space, a LEGO nook with lots of LEGOs, a crafting nook filled with craft supplies and a washer/dryer. Note: The floor sofa from the reading nook can migrate up to the loft to sleep another person up there!

BEDROOM 1 features a queen-size bed, a dresser, a lending library (take a book, leave a book), a walk-in closet, a working nook with a desk chair, two computer monitors, a keyboard and a mouse, and a private bathroom with a shower. The twin bed in this room can be great for parents traveling with a child. Don't like this configuration? This twin bed has legs that fold up so it can move to another room or up into the loft.

BEDROOM 2 has two twin beds, a closet, a dresser and a view of the lake. It sits beside a newly renovated bathroom with a tub and shower.

BEDROOM 3 has big windows with glorious views of the lake, a king-size bed, a closet, two dressers and a private bathroom with a big tub and a shower (note: because of the slope of the ceiling in this bathroom, there's no shower curtain so don't worry if things get a little wet!). This room has an entryway/ reading nook with a floor sofa that offers another place to sleep. Or, the floor sofa can migrate up to the loft. This room and bathroom were built separately from the rest of the house so are not connected to the main heating and cooling system. Use the floorboard heaters in the winter. Use the a/c window unit on hot days, or open the windows, turn on the ceiling fan and fall asleep to the sounds of nature!

THE THIRD-FLOOR LOFT is the ultimate kid hideout and retreat that runs the length of the house! (Adults can sleep here too but they'll have to walk down the middle of the room). The spacious loft has lots of light, two twin beds, a small storage unit for clothes and a bean bag chair. Three additional beds/futons can be added -- the twin from bedroom 1, the floor sofa from the second-floor reading nook and the futon from the entryway to bedroom 3 to make a fun slumber party! Kids will find more LEGOs and K'nex to play with.

Located on a quiet on a scenic peninsula that stretches out into the lake. There road has a small campground at the end and has slow speeds, is safe for a walk or bike ride.

This property has a fairly steep bank and large boulder landscape/retaining wall that could be dangerous for children. Please take this into consideration before renting the home.

The view from the Deck is second to none! Setting about 12’ above the water, this is where most of your time will be spent. The only people you will see from the deck are on boats going past. Trees and the Home Screen you from neighbors when on the deck or lake front

- "We just spent a long weekend (Thursday-Sunday) at this amazing house and had the very best time. The teens had a blast on the kayaks and fishing was very fun too (brought our own gear). The indoor basketball court was a hit and the indoor pool, hot tub and sauna area was absolutely perfect! The house had everything plus!! Everything was super clean! Jerry & Meagan were so sweet. They greeted us, gave a quick tour and were happy to respond to any questions we had. Meagan was also very sweet and took our family picture before we left and was overly kind to mail our daughter’s left-behind sweatshirt. Definitely recommend for any family to have a great time together on the lake!"
