- "A gorgeous place, with a spectacular water view, but a few little disappointments. The hot tub had been taken out and the TV didn't work. Also a low mechanical hum at night was annoying when trying to sleep." - "The Good: Excellent location. The abundance of wildlife and the quality of the view over deliver. The house was spacious, comfortable, and the kitchen was stocked. Less desirables: The beds were all missing a top sheet, which was a bit odd. There were more spider webs inside than I would expect for a place that recieves a cleaning service, and the grill was in need of some cleaning."

It was peaceful and quiet and the house is set down from the highway enough that we felt comfortable having our dog out in the yard. - "LOVED LOVED this place!! Perfect house, perfect location, perfect amenities, very quiet, close to hiking and water sports!! Small car is best, for the turn is a tough one. Restaurants are few and far between, but DELICIOUS!!!! Hiking is to die for in the Olympic Peninsula!!!! Oysters galore!!! Jets in hot tub need help, but otherwise just a lovely place!!!" - "This place is clean, warm, friendly and not overcrowded. We really enjoyed our stay. Were going to try and go out for dinner but after we saw the house we decided to eat in. The hot tub, sauna, deck with warm lights and swing were all so very nice but then you get to go to the Magic Message chair. This was a great and easy place to stay and would highly recommend;)."

- "The views are incredible. In a very small town do be prepared to travel for groceries. Food is limited without driving. Geo-ducks great place for food. Kitchen is very limited in utinizles, kayaks are single riders only. Rooms were comfortable. Property management does a great job in communication." - "This was a beautiful place to stay at for almost a week! Appliances were a little out dated or needed to be replaced (microwave especially) I would say the only down fall was the kitchen didn’t have much stuff other than that the place was amazing!"

- "Our family of 4 with 2 toddlers (1 and 3) stayed here for the week. It was bigger than what we needed, but lots of space to stretch out. The kitchen had everything we needed (just bring your spices and food!). There was a pack and play, highchair/booster combo, and I think an infant tub. The backyard was nice and big and there was a double gate to get to the stairs on the beach. This at least slowed down our toddler who always wanted to go down and throw rocks in the water. During low tide there were tons of oysters! We didn't bring shovels to try for clams, but I'm sure they are there as well. There were views from every room in the house. The house is set up very well if you have multiple families. The loft area upstairs is big and there are plenty of games and puzzles to keep kids entertained. Our toddlers enjoyed playing with the huge stack of wooden blocks. There was a shed outside with lawn chairs, life jackets, boots, etc. There is also a swim platform that is probably fun in the summer. There were no blinds on the windows-probably to make sure you can fully take in the view. This wasn't a problem for us, but in the summer you may want a sleep mask for the morning."

Welcome to Seal Rock Cottage! This beautiful low bank waterfront cabin in Brinnon is a great place to get away to and share happy times and good meals with your friends and family.
ABOUT SEAL ROCK COTTAGE
This newly constructed house sits across the street from Hood Canal, giving it great views and lower summertime temperatures. Enjoy the sunrises over the canal while you have a coffee, or sit out and watch the evening sun glint off of Mt. Rainier while having dinner on the 600+ square foot deck.
If you'd like to spend time by, or in, the water, this house has 60 feet of waterfront across the dead end street, and if you enter the campground at the end of the road, you can walk along the beach for over a mile. Because of the dead end road, this house's closest "neighbor" is a forested campground with hiking trails and wildlife to watch. Traffic may include bald eagles and deer, rather than cars and trucks. In addition, this house is one of the few houes in the area to be on the canal but not be directly on 101! Enjoy 300+ feet of wooded backyard to eliminate the sounds of the road while you enjoy the views and serenity of Hood Canal.
On specific days in the summer, shrimping is allowed in Hood Canal. Launch your rowboat from the property and head out to catch your own dinner (a license is required).

Just a stone's throw from the water, and we could watch for harbor seals, sea lions, and orca! (With mixed results.) There were even eagles right above! We roasted marshmallows over the back yard firepit. Definitely recommend! - Phil

- "We enjoyed are selves very much. The house was perfect. Great location and amenities. We would book again" - "The house was great and overall we had a great time. Communication was poor from the property management company (Hood Canal Hideaways). They never responded to emails. When talking with them on the phone, they were rude. We ran out of drinking water the first day and requested more with no response from the company. It was a shame considering the property was in a nice location and perfect for what we needed. - "Camp Duckabush: This charming A-frame with sweeping view of Hood Canal provides the quintessential Pacific Northwest estuary experience with Eagle and Heron and jumping salmon abundant!Everything was clean and obviously furnished with loving care. They have carefully appointed the cabin with a compact yet well equipped kitchen along with so many thoughtful details – binoculars and spotting scope snacks and breakfast items, games, barbecue, wood for the fire pit, and even Band-Aids and personal care items. A gas “wood stove” for the cool mornings and a new air conditioner for the warm afternoons kept us super comfortable. We very much enjoyed hiking trails and a couple of eating experiences nearby that you should definitely not miss. Hamma Hamma in particular is an outdoor restaurant that is packed with people lucky enough to know the secret to the freshest and best oysters, clams and Dungeness crab available anywhere! Look it up and make a reservation. Even if you don’t have one, there are great adult beverages and plenty of views and an interesting walk about the oyster farm to make the wait worthwhile. For breakfast, lunch or dessert, the pies and friendly staff up the road at Halfway House in Brinnon exceeded our expectations. You’ve definitely escaped the hustle and bustle of the cities and suburbs out here, where you’ll find it easy to relax and enjoy some serenity… but the cabin has great Wi-Fi if you just have to stay connected! It was a delightful stay for us!"

Our home is the perfect getaway, serenely quiet, 100 feet above the waves and overlooking over 500 feet of our member only tidelands.
US highway 101 is a mile away accessed by a paved boulevard like road.
As soon as you enter our rainforest like driveway, giant cedar and pine trees in the deep kettle* on the land side of the house conceal a wide range of creatures you can sometimes see and hear. Frogs croak at night and squirrels, chipmunks, racoons, possums, deer and even elk have been sighted.
*(Kettle, in geology, a deep depression in a glacial outwash drift made by the melting of a detached mass of glacial ice that became wholly or partly buried.)
You can view wildlife from every room in the house.
The view on entering the vaulted living room looking both north and south will take your breath away.
Two decks offer unobstructed views of the Hood Canal, Dabob bay and even Mt Rainer on a clear day.
Eagles fly by at eye level taking sticks to make their nest or holding fish on their way to feed their young.
Otters can be seen frolicking and breaking mollusks with stones on their chest.
Great blue herons strut along the shore and nest nearby.
All types of other birds from tiny hummingbirds to kingfishers abound.
Seals and sea lions can be heard barking as they bask in the cove below.
Crab, shrimp and salmon fishermen dot the waters from time to time and a few of our nuclear submarines occasionally can be seen leaving and returning to their nearby base.

At 1,441 square miles, the park is larger than Rhode Island, the park has been named an International Biosphere Reserve and a World Heritage Site by the World Heritage Convention.
