Ground floor: large hall, open kitchen to living room with sofa bed (140x200 cm) for 3rd and 4th Person, TV, bathroom and with a nice dining area to the south. Shopping: Aldi, Edeka, Rossmann, pharmacy within walking distance in approx. 150 m, as well as the bus stop. From summer 2020 small south terrace for sole use. Sauna in the house with use after advance notification and small fee. You are welcome to bring your bikes with you for endless cycling tours in the beautiful Rheinaue, which is on our doorstep. There were two more towels in the room (ages ago they were white) it was supposed to be for two people. We have created a very practical and centrally located retreat in the quiet Duisburg-Duissern district. We have taken care to provide high-quality furnishings and feel-good decor. The 45 sqm 2-room apartment offers a separate bedroom with a king-size box-spring bed for the highest demands. Allergy-friendly bedding from Schiesser ensures the right cozy factor.

In the adjoining living area there is a fully equipped, high-quality kitchenette with dishwasher, very quiet fridge with small freezer compartment, induction plates, oven, Nespresso coffee machine with milk frother, filter coffee machine, toaster, kettle, microwave and full crockery equipment. The bed and the mattress are in the style of Japanese futon from the house of the Danish designer Karup. The bed is somewat hard. You feel the structure underneath. It is a FUTON.
This particular model is called "Roots". Please search "Karup Design Roots" to find out more about what you will be sleeping on.

No Wardrobe ❌
Please be aware that, as you see in the photos, the room does not have any wardrobe to hang your clothes. Please set your expectations accordingly.

Locking the door 🗝️
They key is available, and door can be locked. However, it is sincerely advised not to lock the door for safety reasons. Unlike hotels, where hotel management has extra key to enter the room in case of emergency, we do not have any other possibility to enter the room.
During your stay, we will not enter the room without your permission whether you are in the room or not, except for critical emergencies.

My place is warm and cosy. You may use the kitchen at your convenience. Your sleeping room is private however kitchen, bathroom, toilets will be shared with the tenant(s).
Feel free to take anything from the fridge or use the available groceries and spices to cook yourself meal or for breakfast.

During your stay
💞 During your stay, it is your choice if you wish to socialize or not. If I cook, I do not mind sharing meal with the guests. If you inform me about your food preference in advance, such as vegan or any intolerance, I will take extra care. I find exchanging stories and ideas nice too. However, if you wish to go your own way entirely, that is no problem at all.

Other things to note
SMOKING INSIDE = 250 EUROS FINE
Smoking of any sort inside is strictly prohibited!! Violation of which will be strictly dealt with and a fine of 250 Euros will be charged. If you need to smoke, please go to the balcony and keep the door closed. Please wash your hands after smoking otherwise there is a risk of contaminating the items in the room specially the plants.

Please note: This is a shared apartment. You will only have the sleeping room for yourself, not the entire apartment. Use of kitchen, toilets, bathroom is shared hence you may encounter other tenant(s).
