- "It was a great location." - "This is the East Hampton we remember from many years ago, My spouse and I have been long time home owners in the East Hampton area and found ourselves staying at the Huntting Inn as we were in the process of moving back into our newly renovated home. Our stay covered three nights and it could not have been a better experience. The room was immaculate, very upto date--clearly they have invested in the property. The staff was thoughtful and very helpful ranging from the modified continental breakfast to the wonderful Palm Restaurant on-site. Our stay was in Winter when much in the area is closed. After going to a local movie theater where the movie and commercials ran much longer than expected, we thought we had missed the closing of the kitchen. We had but the restaurant captain personally cooked each of us a wonderful meal despite having sent the regular crew home for the evening. We could not recommend the Inn more."

The Rex has freshly washed sheets and towels. We have have beach towels, but please bring your own beach towels just in case.

The bedroom is a small private room, adjacent to a living room area with kitchenette and its own full bath and entrance. This is in a family home. Norma, her husband and their adult son and two dogs reside in the home with no access to the private room or shared spaces. During the summer season our daughter is also home from college. Guests do have a reserved parking space in a shared driveway and a private patio space.

Guests do not have access to other areas of the home. We do have an outside space with a table and chairs for guests to use and bicycles if desired. As well as beach towels, blanket and beach chairs.

This listing is for a cheerful primary bedroom with a private full bathroom inside the room—a quiet, clean, peaceful environment with a pool nestled in woodsy Settlers Landing. The pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

My cleaning preparation for guests has always been diligent, and I am now embracing Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol:
* All surfaces and floors are washed and disinfected between the arrival of each guest.
* Bed sheets and towels are soaked overnight in water, detergent, hydrogen peroxide, and baking soda. A little white vinegar is added as a fabric softener in the rinse cycle.
* I run two Molekule air purifying systems in the basement. They use ultraviolet light to kill bacteria and viruses.

I have set up self-checkin; it is located on my listing. The front glass sliding door will be open for you. If, for some reason, I am not home and the door is locked, the key will be in the lockbox to the right of the door. You will be sent a code. There will be written material on the desk (or in the desk drawer) with info on where to find things (keys for the bedroom door, coffee, towels, etc.). Before arrival, I will text you a virtual welcome video on how to deal with trash, soiled plates, and towels.

The cottage is located about eight miles from the center of East Hampton Village, and Main Beach is very close to the village. A shuttle runs through the village all day during the summer season to take visitors from long-term parking where their car is parked to the beach and back. The Town of East Hampton offers parking for a fee at Atlantic Beach on weekdays. The Village of East Hampton offers parking for a fee at Main Beach and on weekdays and weekends. There is Kirk Beach and Hither Hills in Montauk.
Or, rent bikes in the village and have free access to any beach you like.
