Nestled in the picturesque town of El Reno, this charming ~1,177 house is perfect for small groups or families. Located near El Reno Lake and with quick access to I-40 means almost anything in OKC is minutes away.
Each bedroom is decorated in it's own unique theme. We have the country-John Deere themed master bedroom with ROKU TV and comfy queen size bed and private bath. Then there is the Train room to honor the El Reno history as a Rock Island railroad hub, with a full size bed. The final bedroom has an a twin size trundle bed and is dedicated to the music of our lives.

Right along the original route 66 is this classic bungalow home. Affectionately named the Hoff House because of its location along the historic Hoff avenue. This antique has been fully renovated of all the necessities of the modern era but has been left with all the charm of the 1940's when it was originally built. Great little bungalow two blocks from historic downtown El Reno with its trolley car, famous onion burgers and Carnegie library. Nestled in a quite, old neighborhood with wide streets lined with trees and beautiful old homes that were built with railroad money. Route 66 runs through El Reno which is located on I-40 just about 20 miles west of Oklahoma City. It is a great stopping point to avoid the city traffic when traveling but close enough to enjoy all the city has to offer. 1 bed(Qn)/bath.
The space
Small and cozy. Perfect for singles or a couple. One bedroom with queen bed, one living area with couch and study area with a futon chair that folds down to a single bed for a small adult or child. One small bath with shower, a small kitchen and a laundry/ mud room. Kitchen has no stove but is equipped with an air fryer/ toaster oven, hotplate, microwave and electric skillet.

Pets are welcome with extra fee but limited to one medium or two small dogs (no cats) and owners must agree to pet guidelines including keeping pets off the bed for sanitary reasons and waste and food management in and around the house to keep yard clean and avoid pests. Also, please note there is no fenced yard.

Well equipped home with a cozy cottage style interior that we hope portrays an inviting easygoing feeling. This house was our “Fixer Upper”. We have made numerous upgrades for your comfort. The property has private parking. We are located off I-40 and historic Route 66. We are only 20 minutes from Oklahoma City.

We had the privilege of The Yellow Cottage being used as the home of one of the main characters in the movie 13 Minutes. It was filmed in 2021 and released in 2022.

The space
This private home comfortably sleeps up to 5 guest. The property is located in a quiet neighborhood in the original township of El Reno. A great alternative to the local hotels. This home is ideal for those who are in the area for business, a family getaway, a girls/guys weekend or anyone needing a comfortable place to stay. The Yellow Cottage has a large living room with plenty of seating, 3 bedrooms, one full bath with a shower and a half bath, full size kitchen with all new appliances, laundry room with a washer and dryer, a large new deck and hot tub, and a large back yard with a privacy fence.

Full access to the home. Private parking in a drive way (3-4 cars) as well as off street parking and covered parking for one vehicle. The deck contains a hot tub and all children must be accompanied by an adult when on the deck or in the back yard due to hot tub safety.

The cozy cottage design of the house is a comfortable space for families or individuals. The home is located in a quaint historic neighborhood.

We are excited to learn that El Reno has been named the first city in Oklahoma to achieve “Film Friendly Community Certification” according to the OK Film and Music Office. We have seen a steady increase in film, television, and music video production in our community with The Yellow Cottage having the opportunity to be used in a movie and a music video. We can’t wait to see what is filmed in El Reno next.
