The front door to our two-level home is located up just a few steps on our front porch with an additional rear door up just one step in the backyard. The main level on the east side of the house features two full bathrooms and three bedrooms along with the kitchen, living room, and dining area. The lower level on the western side of the house, down a set of 4 steps, features one bedroom, one bathroom / laundry room, another living area and our office area along with access to the basement, which has another set of laundry machines. Our backyard living space includes a limestone fire pit sitting area and a deck, both accessible via the rear gate and via the sliding glass door in the western living room.

99% of guests are visiting family, friends, on a work trip, or just exploring town. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that:

We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.

We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.

We have two driveways: one that fits up to four (4) cars all in tandem and one that fits up to four cars (in two tandem columns). There is no public street parking on either side of our house so if additional parking is needed, we recommend parking in the neighborhood to our northeast.

Entry

The house is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front door and on the side kitchen door. To access the house, enter the code we provide in your reservation check-in instructions, and press the CHECK to unlock.

When leaving, enter that same code followed by the CHECK mark and the deadbolt will close. The locks will also auto-lock after one minute if you forget to lock.

Air Mattress: Designed for camping, our air mattress is extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two. To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate.

This house is well-located for access to I-696, meaning quick access to the whole Detroit Metro area from downtown Birmingham down to Royal Oak and nearby cities including Clawson and Ferndale. The house is also only a thirty-minute drive to Michigan Avenue and all of Detroit’s best amenities.

We love hosting folks, so we want to be as respectful as possible to our wonderful neighbors. Since we’re in a quiet neighborhood, we do ask that you follow a few easy rules:

- No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know.
- Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm.
- Please leave your shoes at the door.
- No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies.
- No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky.
- If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair.
- Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.

1. Guests and visitors should comply with the parking regulations and requirements and must show consideration to other vehicles in the neighborhood.
2. Equipment stored in garage is not a part of the rental experience and should not be operated.
3. Event premium must be paid in order to host an event. If you are found to have more than 6 guests without providing the event fee. A 100 dollar fee will be assessed for each guest, and the stay will be terminated without refund.
4. Music must be at reasonable level after 11 p.m.
5. No eating or drinking in bedrooms. Please enjoy your meal in the dining room.
6. Dispose of the garbage in the trash bin.
7. Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and any electronics when you leave the house. Don’t forget to close the windows and lock the door.
8. Report any damages and/or breakages in a reasonably timely manner. Damages must be paid by guests and will be reported to Airbnb.
9. We are not responsible or liable for any accidents, injuries or illness that occur while on the premises.
10. Check out time is 11am. An 100 dollar fee will be assessed for late checkouts.

13. Garage door is only to be opened by wall mounted opener located inside garage on north wall. 14. Long term guests (<7 days) are not allowed to host events unless confirmed by host. Event fee must be paid if your event is approved. If you are found to have an event without permission and or fee your stay will be immediately terminated without refund.
15. Local guests will be subject to the event fee if booking for a Friday, Saturday or Sunday only.

- "When we arrived, we were immediately impressed with the cleanliness of the place. I was so thrilled that the place has no carpets, which is a requirement I must have due to allergies. There were enough cleaning supplies and toiletries to get thru 3 nights for a party of 5. I forgot a part of my laptop charger, and the host Coco, graciously agreed to mail it back at no cost to me. - "wonderful!" - "We were in town for a bowling tournament with our 17 year old daughter and our mini-doodle. This house was perfect for that! Large back yard and comfortable beds. The stairs to the master bedroom are steep and narrow, so that could be an Issue for some people. The owners are lovely. Small snafu with check-in was quickly resolved. They also called us when they discovered a bag we left behind and were very gracious about mailing it to us."

Visit Farmington with this 2-bedroom, 2-Bathroom home. Enjoy the large living area or the smaller living area. The home also has a small library room. A Queen bed in the main bedroom and spare bedroom, as well as two couches for sleeping in the living areas.

Coffee maker and coffee will also be available. Electric Kettle and Tea as well. Towels/Linens included. There is open closet space in the 2nd bedroom, as well as dresser space in the main bedroom.

There are two living spaces, each with TVs and Firesticks for guest use. There is no cable, but we have Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, Amazon Prime, and HBO Max.

- "Nice, clean house. Excellent for us & our 2 dogs. Sliding doors lead to the back yard. plenty of room for our 2 dogs to play. We enjoyed the 2 living room areas & kitchen area with open concept. Love the no extra fee for pets / cleaning. Only wish the back yard was fenced in. Overall very nice & we would go back." - "My family and I stayed here over the Christmas holiday.
