You might feel like your way out in the country but 3 miles from the bungalow there's a convenience store that has Gasoline and basic groceries. 5 miles away is a 3rd generation Fruit and Vegetable stand. and within 10 Miles away is an 18 Hole golf course, Target, Walmart, and much much more.

- "Our family had a great time" - "My daughter and I stayed at the Birmingham Bungalow for a week in mid-June. We wanted to have lake access during a visit to the Holly & Oxford, Mi areas. The cottage was beautiful - interior was so clean and beautifully remodeled. It had a very functional and extremely well-stocked kitchen so we were able to cook quite a few meals, store leftovers, and even host a friend for dinner. The views of Lake Tipsico are outstanding! Lake access was super easy with the dock and provided kayak and stand-up paddles. My 12-yo daughter was in the water every sunny day during our stay and the lake is not super busy, so it was safe for her to explore by kayak. I’d go out on a stand up paddle so she could use it as a base to swim from, too.The hostess, Lisa, has thought of everything one could need during one’s stay. The neighbors are also very friendly, and access to Hwy 23, M-59, Holly are just about 10 minutes in any direction. It was extremely peaceful there. I’d love to go back with my entire family and bring a boat to explore the lake even more.I highly recommend this rental to anyone who loves a great lakeside getaway and also likes to cook! "

- "This is a lovely three building apartment complex about 1/2 mile from the entrance to the Renaissance Festival, which is where we were going. It couldn't have been more convenient. There is also a restaurant, which is VERY good, just a block away (walking distance) called Bottoms Up. The inside looks brand new, everything is in perfect condition. We did not bring our dog, but could have and the outdoor space is lush and green. Our dog would have loved it as a spacious area to romp around. Everything was a breeze, the decor is beautiful and peaceful, TVs in the living room and bedroom, great temperature control - everything was perfect! We would definitely stay again!"

- "My husband and I booked this play for a three-week vacation. We have family/friends in Grand Blanc, Clarkston, Waterford, and Rochester and this location was less than 30 minutes to the furthest location. Nicely decorated with quality furnishings and super clean! Having a washer/dryer in the unit was a bonus. Rooms were good sized and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. Felt like home. When we had a question, management responded within a few minutes! There was a problem with the water system the first day we arrived (hey, stuff happens), but again, management was on top of it. They supplied every unit in the complex with a case of drinking water while they were working on it and asked us to let them know if we needed more. Major grocery store, Kroger, is 3 miles away. Easy access to I-75. Only 11 miles from Pine Knob Music Theater, in the opposite direction of traffic. The Renaissance Festival is 7 miles away. Great Lakes Indoor outlet mall is 15 miles south on I75, and Birch Run Outlet Mall is 33 miles north on I75. Quick drive to the Holly Dickens Festival.

Guest access
Private entrance to the guest suite is off of the back deck. Home has an over sized driveway. Parking available for multiple vehicles, larger vehicles, motorcycles, boats and campers. Please let hosts know in advance if you are bringing more than one vehicle or recreational equipment.

Guest parking is in front of the garage and maroon door (this door is not the entrance), on the right-hand side. Please leave room for the host's vehicle on the left-hand side.

During your stay
Hosts are available for any questions or suggestions via Airbnb messaging. Guests may contact hosts 24 hours a day if they have a question. Hosts leave their cell phone numbers on a card on the bedroom nightstand in case of an emergency. Hosts are available as needed, giving guests their own space and privacy.

When making your reservation, please state your arrival time. We have reservations most nights so it is difficult to accomodate early arrivals or late checkouts. We can always accommodate late check-ins.

This Airbnb home was built in the early 1960's, prior to 1991 ADA home construction standards for door opening widths and other handicap standards.  We have done our best to make the space accessible to guests with handicaps.  The attached private Airbnb bathroom entrance has a privacy curtain.  This maximizes the width of the door opening for mobility devices. This also allows access to the handicap bar when entering the bathroom, which would not be accessible if a door was in place.

Welcome to the Homestead! As a Master Plumber/Handyman, I rebuilt this house almost from the ground up. With the help of friends, I did most of the work myself over the years. I think you’ll find a cozy, relaxing atmosphere, where you can enjoy the comfortable amenities of the house itself. On the two grassy acres surrounding it, you’ll find a spacious patio, a fire pit in a cooling grove of trees … and you might even see a deer or several wander by! Holly, Michigan has such a great little, small town America feel to it and you’re just a couple of miles from downtown. It’s a great place to grab a meal, go antiquing and walk around town to do some shopping!

There’s an awesome alley there called Battle Alley that has a fantastic little coffee shop and Ziggy’s ice cream. It’s directly across from The Holly Vault wedding venue and surrounded by cute little shops and restaurants. For downtown restaurants for breakfast/lunch we recommend Avia, Holly Cafe, Bittersweet and Mikes Coney. For pizza The Red Devil - that’s been around for as long as we can remember and Blackthorn, as well as Battle Alley Brewing Company always have good food and drinks. Taylors Tavern Bar & Kitchen is rumored to have great chicken, sandwiches and thick friend Jacks BBQ & Grrill is about 15 minutes south and comes highly recommended. Funky Fungi Tea House in Battle Alley is new to the area and offers Kava, kombucha and specialty teas, as well as desserts. If you want to travel a little, we own a cafe called L.A. Cafe & Java at 5815 Dixie Hwy. in Waterford. We are open 9am-3pm for breakfast and lunch, Tuesday-Sunday. If you do stop in, PLEASE say hello we are there every day The Laundry or Crust in Fenton are also great eating options!

If you need to pick up groceries locally there’s Holly Foods or Walmart, Aldi and Meijer in Fenton.

Fish off the dock, make use of four available kayaks, play corn hole, and relax the night away at the bonfire pit. Enjoy your meals in the three season room with a wonderful view of the lake. Open concept kitchen with gas stove. 1.4 miles away from hiking trails at Rose Oaks county park and a ten minute drive to downtown Holly.

The space
1450 Sqft home. Two bedrooms upstairs and one on the main floor with a full bathroom on each floor. The main floor bathroom has a bathtub. The bed downstairs is a king. Upstairs, one room has two double beds and the other room has one queen bed. There is a dining area in the three seasons room and also one in the house.

Located off of a well maintained dirt road. There is a long dirt driveway for onsite parking. Garage space is not available.

Other things to note
The water is well water and is safe to drink but can sometime have a sulfur smell. We offer a cold/hot water dispenser and a purifier pitcher in the fridge.
