This is a great house, it sleeps 10 people, with plenty of room throughout the house, including an area with a pool table, and electronic darts, and a bar. The owners were very responsive to all our needs. There is a great fire pit in the backyard. Wit is set up beautifully with big rocks you can sit on while watching the fire at night. The backyard is huge, and they supply games such as cornhole. I would definitely recommend this and stay there again!"

Welcome to Trails Head Cabin! Located on a quiet dead end road, this cabin sits at the head of the Neversink River Unique Area and offers activities such as hiking, fishing and hunting. My wife and I have fully renovated the inside of the cabin, and have begun to update the exterior. A five minute drive to Resorts World Casino and Holiday Mountain Ski and Fun Park. A twenty-five minute drive to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (sight of the 1969 Woodstock Festival). See you soon!

Please respect our non-smoking policy. Absolutely NO smoking of any kind is allowed in the cabin. A $200 charge will be applied if you do smoke inside to cover the additional cleaning costs.

We always like our guests to know ahead of time that there is mild to moderate vehicle and foot traffic near the hiking trails during the day. As this location has become more and more popular, the individuals who come to hike, bike, fish, hunt, etc. are required to parallel park their cars on the opposite side of the road. However, our property is private and clearly posted, and may only be used by our guests.

The cell phone service is very weak when you first arrive at the cabin however, once you are connected to the Wi-Fi you should have capability to call and text.

- "Everything you need is there. It's very quaint and quiet. If you need to get away from the world, this is the place to be." - "My son and I enjoyed our 2 night stay. My first booking using Vrbo and super easy process.You can't get closer to a trail than this. The trail -Neversink River Unique Area was absolutely Wonderfull and my 8 year old was able to handle the easy route to mullet falls (you need hiking boots and you will slip in sneakers) downloaded the "all trails" map app. The cabin was clean and weather tight. There are some houses around it so you don't feel out in the middle of nowhere. If you have an electric car and need a charge drive out to the World resorts casino and grab a meal while your car charges or for a quicker charge try the Karttrite waterpark, and hang in the arcade waiting for car to charge, charging was free. Bring some dry firewood and a lighter or you can probably hit the huge hardware store up the street. Also may want to bring nightlight if you have kids. Phone service was ok and even received a call on the trail and once connected to the wifi in the cabin the connection was great.We brought our mountain bikes but I didn't really see any trails however there are probably many around within a short drive, Lippman park was one we were going to try but ran out of time."

Our family home sits on Swinging Bridge Reservoir. The outdoor space is amazing including a massive deck with outdoor kitchen/BBQ, a new hot tub, Peloton spin bike, level yard, beach with sand, driveway, and dock.

The interior is in good condition throughout. There are technically 5 bedrooms and another room with several beds. There is also a sofa bed in the lower level. There is strong WIFI throughout through Google Mesh Network.

There are three bathrooms.

The kitchen is open to the living room and dining area. It is updated with newer stainless appliances.

There is a lower level that has a play area/TV room along with 2 of the 5 bedrooms.

There is also a lower deck with an outdoor shower.

- "We had a great time staying here with a group of friends. The house is new construction and the A-frame adds some interesting architectural features. Appliances are new and everything is clean. Really had no complaints. Wi-Fi is a bit spotty and the road to the house is not paved but was fine on the car, just need to drive slowly. Bring all groceries with you on the way in as there Arent any major stores nearby which is sort of the point! Close to swinging bridge reservoir for boat rentals and bethel woods for concerts."

Private and off-grid tiny home near the Neversink Unique Area hiking trails. This tiny house is approximately a tenth of a mile from guest parking. A marked trail to the site with trail markers for easy direction. This tiny house has solar powered WIFI and lights. This is not an insulated structure and during the winter months there is no running water. The outhouse is located about 50 feet from the tiny house.

While the hike is short, some parts are steep, so please walk slowly and take your time.
Driving to the site requires a high clearance Truck, Jeep or SUV with all wheel drive or 4-Wheel Drive ONLY.

We recommend our guests arrive before nightfall for easy and stress free access to and from the site. Please keep in mind the WIFI and lights are solar powered, therefore we cannot always guarantee its consistency.

Please also note this site is off grid with a rain-catch water system, therefore we cannot guarantee there will always be running water.
NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT DRINK THIS WATER.

The outdoor shower has been updated with a hot water rain catch system. Please be conscious of your water usage, as the water for the shower is collected via a gutter system. If you run out of water in the shower you will need to wait for the next rainfall for it to collect and build back up.

During the late fall and winter months, this site will be open to winter campers who come prepared with the necessities and truly know how to winter camp. There will be no running water during this time and the solar will not work as well as it does during the summer months.

We recommend not using the electric during the daytime hours, as this helps conserve power for when you will need to use it at night.

We provide the following linens:
fitted sheet for the full size bed in the loft, 4 sleeping bags, and 4 pillows. Anything additional must be brought by the guest.

From the deck you can view a generous bit of land, at least in lakefront terms, down to the lake. A short, forested walk down a private path leads you to a gazebo right on the lake. This is the ideal staging area for lakefront adventures - putting on sunscreen, organizing your fishing tackle, towel storage - or as a shaded destination for sipping a cold beverage when the sun sets. This property comes with two row boats and two kayaks just begging you to explore Mohican Lake. A rustic fire pit is also available to guests down by the lake.

The thing we love about this cabin is that there's truly something for every season. Escape the winter blues with warm nights by a crackling fire or out in the hot tub under a blanket of stars. Fish off your own private dock in the spring (be sure to bring your own equipment). Grill up a feast during the heat of the summer. Let the leaves dazzle you in the fall. We were pleased the pictures matched what we walked into. The tall ceilings, wide hallways and many places to sleep allowed us all to relax in different areas without being crowded. The house had everything you need for your stay - including baby gates, extra tables/seating, everything you can think of in the kitchen cabinets, toys for the kids to play with, etc. The rooms and beds were also extra comfy. There was snow on the ground when we got there which made the views out the window even more pretty! We would highly recommend this house and will definitely consider it for our next family gathering. "

The Space:
Crosslands has been designed for maximizing enjoyment of your leisure time. Whether it's first thing in the morning, when you can fix your coffee quickly, with the Keurig, or brew it in a French press, you can opt to start the day on the bright, open side porch listening to the birdsong, or gather round the teak dining table in the 380 square foot screened / glassed porch with a background of tunes from your playlist on the housewide Sonos audio system.

You might choose to hike the extensive woodland behind the house, or grab a brick oven pizza or local produce in a nearby town. Alternatively, you may prefer to chill and login to Netflix or watch the big game on any of the four smart TVs throughout the house. The sectional seating area in the porch is pretty much guaranteed to be the favored spot during your stay. The screens make it the go-to spot in summer, but when temps drop the screens are swapped for glass, meaning you'll be able to enjoy the 3 season porch throughout the fall & spring.

Though the kitchen is incredibly well-appointed, with gas stove, ample counter space, and an abundance of high quality utensils and cookware, the gas grill will likely beckon, and the large bluestone patio will be the new center of the universe. Some will relax on the lounges while others will soak in the hot tub. And when the feast is ready, guests can dine al fresco, or in the porch, or at the dining table in the house.

But one of the most quintessential Catskills activities is spending quality time around the fire pit, under the stars. Ringed by Adirondack chairs, this fire pit is built into the patio and will foster lively conversation well into the night. If you prefer your fires in more rustic settings, a second, large rock-ringed pit can be found above the dramatic rock outcroppings in the woods. Spend warm summer days taking a dip in the one acre swimming pond. In the winter months, hunker down in front of the gas fireplace in the living room and watch the snow fall.

There are two bedrooms at Crosslands, a guest (full) and spacious master (king), which opens onto the patio. The tiled bathroom has a walk-in shower, and there is an outdoor shower near the side porch.

The Neighborhood:
Crosslands, located in the heart of the Catskills, is just outside the town of Monticello. This town has lots of explore-worthy spots. Explore emerging art at Assembly, start the day with coffee at Java Love or Bethel Market, grab a sandwich at Salt N Pepper, grab pizza at Forage Pizza. Enjoy some local shows at the Forestburgh Playhouse. We have a local guide on Red Cottage Inc's website where we help you get the most out of your stay at Crosslands.

Getting Around:
Crosslands is less than two hours from New York City, and while you'll definitely want a car to get there and around the area, there is also a Short Line bus to the city from Monticello, about 10 minutes away. In the winter, we recommend a car with four-wheel drive that can handle the snow and gravel roads. There is plenty of parking on the premises.

- "We stayed at this retreat in the woods for a 3 day concert run at Bethel Woods. It was clean, quite & close to the venue. The yard was huge and we spent lots of time at the fire pit. Our favorite beach on the Delaware River was only 12 minuets away so we spent our days river side. Plenty of parking and the host was very helpful with our questions. We will definitely be rebooking!" - "The house and property were beautiful and we are deeply grateful for our stay. We e en easily extended our stay since we were having such a great time. The house lacked some key helpful kitchen supplies, very minimalistic. In need of more large bowls and serving plates, basic spices, olive oil, a baking sheet/roasting pan in order to use the oven. Additional papertowels, toilet paper, kitchen towels. Luckily we had family in the area to fill some supplies gaps. We hope to return and appreciate this sweet spot!"

This 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom property has been recently refurbished to give a family a wonderful break in the countryside. There is a large field for kids and dogs to play and the property itself sits on a 50-acre estate so you can roam in the woods and enjoy the fresh air.
