Guests have exclusive access to the entire lodge as well as the entire 60 acre property. The large driveway can accommodate a large number of vehicles with plenty of room to maneuver trailers etc. It is common to see bald eagles and hawks soaring along the ridgeline directly in front of the properties.

Many guests snowtube, sled, or even snowboard down the long driveway during the winter. Sleds are typically available for guests to use.

Guests can reach the Au Sable River and the Mio Dam area in 3-4 minutes by car to enjoy all kinds of water activities including swimming, boating, kayaking, canoeing, river tubing, fishing, etc. Several businesses offer canoe, kayak, or tube rentals just a few minutes from the driveway.

The property is also just a few minutes from groomed state ATV/UTV/snowmobile trails. The trails are easily accessible from the driveway and trailering is not necessary.

The property features an outdoor steam sauna but new panoramic view barrel saunas for each lodge are pending installation along with either a new swim spa or pool. Check back for updates. Secluded log cabin just yards away from Lake Michigan, and bordering Manistee National Forest. 'Little Bear' cabin is nestled in a mature pine grove. Although there is no lake view from Little Bear cabin, you only have a short 250 foot walk to our other property, Big Bear lake house, here you have your own private dune on and overlooking Lake Michigan - now with access to Lake Michigan via a new set on stairs down the dune.

At Little Bear cabin, you have the seclusion of the forest. You can also walk directly into beautiful Manistee National Forest. The trails start a few hundred yards from your porch. Black Bear LodgeSpend your days either fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, hiking, or trail riding and your nights by a cozy fire or in relaxing Hot Tub. This amazing log home offers a king sized bed in the loft, queen bed in the main floor bedroom, a king bed down stairs with a pull out queen sleeper sofa. There is a large deck with a gas grill for entertaining. If your looking for a night in, there is a large selection of DVDs, a Wii for the kids and lots of board games (for kids and adults!)
The indoor fireplace is not available for guest use. The garage is not available for guest use and there are two locked owners closets in the home.
The hot tub is open all year round. We provide beach towels and flip flops for the hot tub. We also provide all bed linens and bath towels. The kitchen comes fully stocked with all cooking utensils, seasonings, oils and paper towel. There is a regular coffee pot and a Keurig. We provide Folgers coffee and a variety of K cups as well as cream and sugar. There is a dishwasher with detergent. In the bathrooms we provide toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. For your entertainment, we have lots of games for all ages, regular playing cards, giant Uno and Checkers. There is a Wii with multiple games and DVDs. We have Roku smart televisions. Star Link is oir internet provider, and we have installed a cell booster.
Outside, there is corn hole, a fire pit down by the river and seating both on the deck and below the deck. There is a washer and dryer and there will be one tide pod for each night booked.
The city of Baldwin is about 10 minutes from the cabin. They have a couple grocery stores, a Dollar General, Family dollar and quite a few mom and pops restaurants and several bars. There are also a couple of ice cream shops.Please be aware that this is a cabin in the woods. You will encounter bugs and wildlife. We do provide mosquito spray.Guests have access to the home and Hot Tub.
The garage is always locked. The hot tub is open year round.You can call anytime or text.
This beautiful home is on a quiet dirt road in a private setting. There are 350 acres of state land across from the it and hundreds more just down the street. It is close to Hiking Trails, ATV trails, Fishing, Canoeing, Kayaking, but still close enough to town.

The building was originally Manistee National Bank. The recently renovated apartment is where the Bank offices were originally located. It sits on the Manistee River Walk. The building is centrally located in the downtown Historic District, steps away from local shopping, dining, and entertainment. The deck provides beautiful views of the river where you will see sailboats and charter fishing boats pass by. You may even see a Great Lakes Freighter navigate the river channel. The River Walk makes for a nice stroll down to Lake Michigan.
The renovated apartment is 1500 sq ft, has original hardwood floors and exposed brick walls, 11' ceilings, tons of natural lighting, and a beautiful back deck that overlooks the Manistee River. There are stairs leading up to the apartment from the street (pictured). The rear access is via a spiral staircase (pictured) on the patio that leads down to the lower levels of the building. There is one parking space located behind the building for your use.

Winter months require a 4 Wheel or All Wheel Drive Vehicle to maneuver our driveway.
