Guests have exclusive access to the entire lodge as well as the entire 60 acre property. The large driveway can accommodate a large number of vehicles with plenty of room to maneuver trailers etc. It is common to see bald eagles and hawks soaring along the ridgeline directly in front of the properties.

Many guests snowtube, sled, or even snowboard down the long driveway during the winter. Sleds are typically available for guests to use.

Guests can reach the Au Sable River and the Mio Dam area in 3-4 minutes by car to enjoy all kinds of water activities including swimming, boating, kayaking, canoeing, river tubing, fishing, etc. Several businesses offer canoe, kayak, or tube rentals just a few minutes from the driveway.

The property is also just a few minutes from groomed state ATV/UTV/snowmobile trails. The trails are easily accessible from the driveway and trailering is not necessary.

The property features an outdoor steam sauna but new panoramic view barrel saunas for each lodge are pending installation along with either a new swim spa or pool. Check back for updates. Secluded log cabin just yards away from Lake Michigan, and bordering Manistee National Forest. 'Little Bear' cabin is nestled in a mature pine grove. Black Bear LodgeSpend your days either fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, hiking, or trail riding and your nights by a cozy fire or in relaxing Hot Tub. This amazing log home offers a king sized bed in the loft, queen bed in the main floor bedroom, a king bed down stairs with a pull out queen sleeper sofa. There is a large deck with a gas grill for entertaining. If your looking for a night in, there is a large selection of DVDs, a Wii for the kids and lots of board games (for kids and adults!)
The indoor fireplace is not available for guest use. The garage is not available for guest use and there are two locked owners closets in the home.
The hot tub is open all year round. We provide beach towels and flip flops for the hot tub. We also provide all bed linens and bath towels. The kitchen comes fully stocked with all cooking utensils, seasonings, oils and paper towel. There is a regular coffee pot and a Keurig. We provide Folgers coffee and a variety of K cups as well as cream and sugar. There is a dishwasher with detergent. In the bathrooms we provide toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. For your entertainment, we have lots of games for all ages, regular playing cards, giant Uno and Checkers. There is a Wii with multiple games and DVDs. We have Roku smart televisions. Outside, there is corn hole, a fire pit down by the river and seating both on the deck and below the deck. There is a washer and dryer and there will be one tide pod for each night booked.
The city of Baldwin is about 10 minutes from the cabin. They have a couple grocery stores, a Dollar General, Family dollar and quite a few mom and pops restaurants and several bars. There are also a couple of ice cream shops.Please be aware that this is a cabin in the woods. You will encounter bugs and wildlife. We do provide mosquito spray.Guests have access to the home and Hot Tub.
The garage is always locked. The hot tub is open year round.You can call anytime or text.
This beautiful home is on a quiet dirt road in a private setting. There are 350 acres of state land across from the it and hundreds more just down the street. It is close to Hiking Trails, ATV trails, Fishing, Canoeing, Kayaking, but still close enough to town.

The building was originally Manistee National Bank. The recently renovated apartment is where the Bank offices were originally located. It sits on the Manistee River Walk. The building is centrally located in the downtown Historic District, steps away from local shopping, dining, and entertainment. The deck provides beautiful views of the river where you will see sailboats and charter fishing boats pass by. You may even see a Great Lakes Freighter navigate the river channel. The River Walk makes for a nice stroll down to Lake Michigan.
The renovated apartment is 1500 sq ft, has original hardwood floors and exposed brick walls, 11' ceilings, tons of natural lighting, and a beautiful back deck that overlooks the Manistee River. There are stairs leading up to the apartment from the street (pictured). The rear access is via a spiral staircase (pictured) on the patio that leads down to the lower levels of the building. There is one parking space located behind the building for your use.

The property is located on Berry Lake, which is a 68 acre lake suitable for various high speed boating and jet ski oriented activities. Aside from that you can spend your time lounging lakeside, fishing off the dock, swimming, or utilizing the spacious interior and exterior of the home. The cabin is clean and relaxing and has everything u need! All the extra details and amenities were a plus and thoughtful! Love birds?? They have bird feeders and extra seed incase they are empty when u arrive! A bucket of scrap cardboard to help start your bonfires, Roasting sticks for your marshmallows, plenty of spices and condiments, a coffee bar, a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of bath towels, extra blankets and a guest shed with yard games rafts and extra coolers! Watch the salmon run in the fall in small creeks or fish one of our many small lakes. We are also located only about a half hour from Lake Michigan and it's beautiful beaches. Shopping is available in Manistee, Ludington, and Traverse City. Our area also has many ATV and Snowmobile trails and trail maps are available online and in the welcome book at our cabins. - "The cabin is nice and clean. We very much enjoyed the close proximity to the 5th Avenue Beach. The price is reasonable." - "The Industrial cabin is clean and comfortable. We had a family of 7. There is only one full bathroom but we made it work. There is no washer and dryer. I miss that. The owner was so great on all the details that she put in to this cabin. She put an extra object outside to hang our beach towels or clothes. There are hooks right inside to hang our bath towels. There was a place for everything. It has closets in each room. There is a corn hole game that my kids loved playing. A fire pit that our whole family enjoyed in the evenings. It was a great location. It’s peaceful. We would stay here again."

- "Wonderful property. Very secluded loved how clean the house was. We had everything we needed to cook with. Outside area was great for cooking on the grill and the fire pit and Edison lights. It was close enough for us to do day trips to Ludington sleeping bear dunes and Traverse City. And to come back with plenty of time to relax enjoy the two trails and the peace and quiet will definitely come back here again my wife, my 19-year-old son a 17 year old daughter, and my five year old daughter loved it. A rustic, permalog style cabin that is suited to accommodate up to nine. This is a cabin to help disconnect from the hustle and bustle of our chaotic lives. There is limited cell signal, no internet and no local or cable channels. The cabin is pet friendly, as I believe our pets are an extension of our families and should get to vacation with everyone rather than boarded (dogs only are allowed, see note about pets at the end of this description). Primary source of heat is a furnace. There is an electric fireplace in the living room. In the summer there is a window AC unit at the cabin and a fan for the loft (it does get hot up there).

The cabin is very close to the AuSable River where you can easily launch boats, canoes and more. The ORV trail head is just a 1/4 mile down the road. This is also the perfect cabin for nearby hunting, fishing, hiking and trail riding. Be sure to keep an eye out for an eagle or two. Also had deer tracks in the yard.

HOME SPACE:
Master bedroom has a queen bed. Living room has a 2 hide-a-beds. The loft has two full size beds. (CAUTION: There are cables that keep the roof straight in the loft on the floor. Please use caution so there are no injuries.) Room enough for 9 people. Just about everything is provided for you (linens, towels, fully stocked kitchen, etc). Not sure if I have something you need, ask me.

There is only a 20 gallon hot water heater (that means quick showers with a full house). A furnace is available for heat. It is fueled by propane. There is an electric fireplace for ambiance (please do not use this to help heat the cabin at night). A window AC unit is installed during the summer in the kitchen and a fan for the loft and one for the main floor.

CELL SIGNAL & TELEVISION:
The location of the cabin is set in the Huron National Forest and it is difficult to get any signals through the trees for WiFi and television. I have been unsuccessful at tuning in any local channels. I have opted not to have internet or cable television at this location as this is a cabin to disconnect from the world as mentioned in the description. Some cell providers do receive good signal here and you may experience great connectivity to the point emails and messages still come through. Movies and games are provided at the cabin for “rainy days” and there is plenty of nature to explore. Maps and guides are provided at the cabin for various exploration/activities that allow you to enjoy the natural habitat surrounding the cabin.

PROPERTY:
The cabin sits on under a half acre of land. There is limited space for parking multiple vehicles so I recommend carpooling as much as you can. If you are planning to bring snowmobiles in the winter, please note the property can probably accommodate one trailer. There is no actual driveway so feel free to park on the lawn but not by the sheds up front (my septic tank an the septic pipe goes through that area). There is a firepit for your use I just encourage you to please use caution and safety at all times during use and when you are done with it each night.

NEIGHBORHOOD:
This cabin is located in a small rural community. There are several neighbors, it is not secluded but gives that vibe. Did I mention I have the best neighbors?? Well I do! They will treat you just like part of the neighborhood and welcome you in. Please be respectful of noise level during the week as my neighbors do have to get up for work pretty early. The neighbors behind me do have two dogs who are not leashed when they are outside. Please keep an eye on your dog(s) at all times.

NOTE ABOUT PETS: I am not held responsible for any injuries or damages caused by/to your pet. Your pet is your responsibility and must be under control at all times. You must clean up after your pet. Leashes, food/water bowls, poop bags and beds are provided. Please keep your dog(s) off of the furniture. They must be crated if left alone for over an hour. Please do not bring your dog if it has any fleas or illnesses. Your dog(s) must be licensed and up to date on shots.

FEES: Again there is an additional $25 charge per guest over 6 guests (no more than 9 people at this location). There is a pet fee of $30. There is a $300 security deposit. This will be refunded upon departure if no damage has been found. If damage has been found it will be held pending investigation. Please note, if damage is found above 300.00 that amount will be due in full after a full investigation is completed. The costs of those items will be for replacement cost, not current value of the item.

Pretend you are visiting your elderly relative who makes cookies and tea when you arrive. Her septic system is delicate, so please be mindful of this sweet old lady who's a little creaky but friendly.

The two bedrooms have great queen beds. One bathroom serves as a powder room for the "lake room," as well as the bathroom for the primary bedroom. The second bedroom has a bathroom across the hall. There is also a full bed in the den, and there is a laundry room. There is a sleeper sofa, best for kids as adults won't find it very comfortable. There is a fully equipped kitchen for cooking and baking, including a Kitchen Aid, toaster, coffee maker, Crock Pot, cookie sheet pans, and all the cooking utensils you'll need! Nearby caretakers can provide firewood or, in summer, a boat ride around the lake for a small fee. There are games and books, a TV and DVD player, and minimal cable/internet. Internet can be sketchy in inclement weather or if many are all using at once.

We have three units all located on the waterfront of Little Campbell Lake. Only electric trolling motors are allowed on the lake which makes for a quiet getaway. This includes occupancy limits, age requirements, the ‘no parties’ and ‘no smoking’ clauses or any other rule posted online or within the rental. The Sanctuary Lodge is located on Silver Creek in Wilber Township, Michigan, just outside of Tawas City/East Tawas. Situated in an idyllic setting on a large pond, with sweeping grounds and surrounding nature. It is the ideal getaway for nature lovers.

The Lodge is a newly converted three-unit building with accommodations from one or two to up to six, depending upon the unit. Each unit is self-contained. We chose the smaller of the three units available and it was spacious, comfortable, modern and was very clean; it was perfect for us. The lodge is not too far from downtown East Tawas, which has a good selection of restaurants, shopping, and wonderful views of Lake Huron. Other points of interest are Lumberman's Monument and Iargo Springs both of which run along the Au Sable River providing a beautiful scenic backdrop for some great photo opportunities. Tuttle Marsh, which is near by, is a must for any nature lover, bring your camera and binoculars! Our host Sam was very welcoming and responsive and we enjoyed getting to know him, make sure to ask about the history of the property. Our wilderness cabin is the perfect place to get away and disconnect. Down a dirt road and deep in the woods with national forest on two sides of the property. The cabin is in a small clearing near the middle of the 10 acres. The rolling landscape has mature hardwoods and two short walking trails. Miles of dirt, seasonal and forest roads surround the cabin.

The cabin:
Two bedroom one bath cabin with heat, water, electricity, and a full kitchen. The cabin has one queen bed in the master bedroom and a twin over twin bunkbed with an additional twin trundle bed in the other. The open concept living room and kitchen allows for meal prep and eating to be social and connected.

The land:
More than a mile from the nearest paved road and 800 acres of National Forest on two sides of the property. The property has a long driveway with a grass clearing. The clearing is the ideal setting for camp fires, lawn games, picnic table meals and enjoying the sounds of nature. The dirt and seasonal roads in the area are perfect for exploring with your side by side, snowmobile, golf cart, hiking, or biking.

The bunkhouse:

The property has a detached bunkhouse that will give you the wilderness camping feel with the comfort of a mattress and electricity. The bunk house is simple: Two bunk beds in a summer camp style lofted cabin. The bunk house is insulated and does have electricity. The only bathroom is in the main cabin.

No pets, no parties, no large gatherings, no events or extra guests allowed. We strive to keep our wilderness cabin and land beautiful and these contract breaking activities make that very difficult.

Welcome to the Manistee National Forest! This modest mobile home is in downtown of the quaint village of Harrietta. There are two bedrooms (1 queen, 1 twin bunk) and a full bathroom. The full-sized kitchen is loaded with the cooking basics. The living room is furnished with some cozy furniture pieces, a tv, games, and books. The living room also has a futon if needed and there is a blow up mattress in the small bedroom closet.

The space
The dwelling is a white single wide on an open piece of land in the small neighborhood of downtown Harrietta. There's no driveway, but please park any vehicles on the west side by the small lamp post. The large bedroom is at the end of the hall with a queen bed. The small bedroom (first door on the right) has a twin bunkbed. Both bedrooms have desks, spacious closets, fans, charging cables, and extra linens. In between the bedrooms is the bathroom, which has a full tub and new water heater and washer/dryer. The bathroom and kitchen are stocked with the basics. The living room is fully furnished and includes various forms of entertainment.

Please keep in mind that this is an old home. Though regularly maintained, there are quarks and nuisances that just come with this type of structure. It's always dusty, no matter how much you clean, the hardware is old fashioned and may take some finagling, and there will be some wear and quaint aging around the space. Please be gracious as we are continually improving the space, and feel free to leave suggestions!

Parking is on the property on the west (left) side next to the lamp post. Guests have access to the entire home. Airbnb assigns a unique code to the electronic lock for each stay. The kitchen and bathroom are stocked with essentials and necessities. There are games, books, and a TV in the living room, and desks, fans, hangers, and extra linens in the bedrooms. The porch is furnished to enjoy the nice days and peaceful area. Robots help maintain some of the property (floor cleaning and mowing) and livestock may be grazing nearby, so be aware when exploring.

Other things to note
Only drink tap from the filtered water spigot in the kitchen (unfiltered tap is not recommended for consumption as it is just utility water).

Cell signal in the village is limited. AT&T is the most reliable carrier at the moment, but high speed wifi is available on the property.

The stove top burners are currently for natural gas, not propane, so the flames are larger than normal. Be careful about running them for long periods of time without a fan running or the windows open.

BUGS. Harrietta is located in a watershed in the middle of a forest. There are lots of insects. Insect deterrents are highly recommended for extended time outside. Insects will also get inside occasionally, there no avoiding it. To avoid any infestations, please keep all trash in the trashcans and food in sealed containers.

Robots help maintain some of the property (floor cleaning and mowing) and livestock may be grazing nearby, so be aware when exploring.

There is also Traks bar & grill a Brethren favorite as well as Northern Natural cider house in the town of Chief with live music, disc golf, trails, tasty food and great drinks. Also about 15 mins from Manistee with a fun vibrant downtown, piers on lake Michigan & multiple beaches with playgrounds & dog park.

Cabin #1 is a little more private and about 250 feet from the bathhouse. It is fully furnished (linens are included). There is a full size bed and an oversized chair with pull out twin bed. There is an empty loft that may be suited for small children, no adults. The cabin has a maximum capacity of 4 people. There is no running water or toilets in this rustic cabin, it does however have electricity and a propane furnace for heat in the winter months. There is no smoking allowed.

The space
There is a propane stove with oven, small fridge with freezer, a microwave, coffee pot, toaster and water dispenser. There is also a small set of pots and pans, cooking utensils and dining plates, cups and utensils.

There is a large pavillion with picnic tables.

There is a key lock box for entry. You will receive the code the morning of your check in. Please return the key to the lock box.

Towels and personal care items are not provided for the bathhouse. You must bring your own.

This is a semi rustic cabin, there is no running water in the cabin but there is a spigot at the bathhouse and a fresh water dispenser in the cabin.

There is no smoking allowed in the cabin.

Please remember to take your trash to the dumpster.

Please do not leave dirty dishes in the sink.
