Located 30 minutes from Alexandria Bay on the East side of Black Lake. Sat-Sat full week rental only June, July, and August (no exceptions). The rental is closed for the season October-April.

- "We have been coming here for years. This private cottage is so peaceful. The owner is very kind and makes sure you have everything you need. It is nice to have your own dock for your boat which is directly across the lake from main boat ramp. The view of the lake is perfect. We look forward to coming back soon." - "Excellent Stay" - "Great small home for a vacation. Given our October visit, it was great to have heat. The washer and (especially) dryer were great to have in case it rained, although we didn't use them. There wasn't enough detergent to do a load, but we were only trying to start a load of towels as we left, so we didn't ask the owner for any. Great view of the lake and a nice dock that capably held our 2 boats in high winds and waves. Good beds, mostly good mattresses, plenty of blankets on the beds, plenty of towels and washcloths. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, but silverware was marginal (very small) and more is needed (we had to wash them by hand between each meal, except when we had enough dishes to run the washer.) The dishwasher worked well. Toilet paper was supplied, but there wasn't much when we moved in. Host Bob responded IMMEDIATELY when asked for more, and for more paper towels. Trash bags also scarce, but we didn't ask for more so can't complain. Comfortable couch and nice TV. Fridge, freezer, stovetop (gas), and oven all worked great. Propane grill had poor burners and didn't work for us. It wouldn't light. Nice touches, like night lights. I saw soap, but I didn't see shampoo (I had my own.) We were graciously allowed to check in early. We didn't know we had wi-fi for a day or two, but when asked Bob supplied the password and confirmed the network (which wasn't related to the host's name at all.) Fishing was poor, and we were told by another fisherman that this was unusual. Overall, a very nice stay and very responsive host."

The place was clean; nothing fancy but it didn't need to be for our stay. We were there over New Year's and we wondered if maybe David wasn't prepared for winter guests; the place was undergoing some repairs and improvements. But we could see how this would be a perfect place in warmer weather and we'll likely return."

The Lake House Loft is located in Upstate New York on Black Lake, known as “Freshwater Fisherman’s Paradise”. It is the largest St. Lawrence County Lake and is over 20 miles long. It's located near the Canadian Border, close to Ogdensburg and the Thousand Islands. This is a smoke-free, two-bedroom loft, with a full kitchen, and a bathroom. There is a 100-foot waterfront boat dock available, Wi-Fi, A/C, Heat, and is fully furnished. Paddle Boat and canoe also available to use.

The caretakers and the owner were responsive and very nice people!! We boated Black Lake and the St. Lawrence. Thousand Island was half an hour from there-spent time in Alexandria Bay!! This gorgeous cottage is located right on a beautiful campground in a peaceful cove off Black Lake in NY. We are the perfect place to book for any getaway, from fishing or hunting to vacations with family or friends-we have everything you would need!!
This house has a spacious open floor plan that connects the kitchen and dining room to the living room that has a wall full of windows overlooking gorgeous views of Black Lake- making it the perfect place for groups to gather!
Also, on the first floor of this 2500 sq ft house you will find a master bedroom with a full bathroom, plus another ½ bath with laundry units to use free of charge! Upstairs we have another full bathroom and 1 private bedroom with a Full bed. Down the hallway there are 3 additional rooms that are all connected-which we like to think is perfect for Families or large groups traveling together! 2 of the rooms are set up as bedrooms and have a Full bed in each. The 3rd room is a large Bonus Room that includes 2 additional Full beds, kitchen cabinets and a small dining table overlooking the lake!
Outside you will find your own private fire pit, picnic table and we have a community fishing station! We have a beautiful shoreline with water you can walk right into and a community dock available if you would like to bring your own boat. We also have a 20ft Pontoon Boat and 3 other Aluminum fishing boats that are available to rent depending on availability!
Although this cabin is located on a campground, you can always keep to yourself if you want. All our cabins are fairly secluded each surrounded by trees and shoreline. The only part of the main house that we keep locked from guests is our office space, off the kitchen, and the garage. We use both to manage our cabins and the campgrounds.

- "Spacious rental that was well suited for a family vacation. The local property managers, Rich and Shannon, checked with us after our arrival. This was very much appreciated as they were able to immediately assist with some items. They also were very responsive with other questions and requests throughout the week, which had a positive impact on our experience. The water by the dock and extending out into the bay had a large amount of aquatic vegetation, which generally ruled out swimming but didn’t impact other watersports such as kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. Fishing was challenging and it appears that the lake may not be as good a fishery as in years past."

There are 26 cabins spread throughout the campground with each having their own unique view of Black Lake. The lake encompasses close to 11,000 acres stretching over 20 miles. It is the largest lake in St. Lawrence County, New York.

Amenities available at the ground are furnished kitchens, heated camps, some camps equipped with AC, Recreation Hall with Spectrum TV, coin operated laundry facilities, private sandy beach and swim area, boat & motor rentals when staying at Cedar Grove, lighted dock areas in protected bay, reserved docking for personal boats, electricity on the dock, enclosed fish cleaning stations, horseshoe pits, volleyball, swing set and play area, community campfire.

June 17th through September 2nd are 7-day rentals with check-ins at 2pm on Saturdays and check-out by 10am Saturdays. The remaining season dates are 3-day minimums with same check-in and check-out times.
There is a 3% County Bed Tax. An 8% NYS Sales tax will be added if you stay less than 7 days (it'll be collected at the check-in).

Welcome to Cedar Grove Camps located on the beautiful Black Lake in the Upstate New York and Thousand Island area. Whether it's relaxing on the point overlooking the lake or sitting around the evening campfire, people have been meeting old friends or making new ones for generations.

All cabins are fully furnished. We supply mattress covers and pillows for the beds; you must bring your own linens/comforters. For the bath, you must bring towels, toilet paper, and toiletries. The kitchens have full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, pots & pans, dishes, silverware. You only need trash bags, dish detergent, and of course, food.

Unfortunately, we do not allow pets or bikes.

Check-in time is 2:00 PM; check-out is 10:00 AM. Arrivals before 9:00 AM will be considered the previous night's occupancy.

We occasionally allow an additional family member with prior permission. Call for rates. Children are count as an occupant at age one.
