Our rental is conveniently situated in the heart of Potsdam, offering easy access to the town`s vibrant culture, educational institutions, and recreational activities. A prime location for the Canton-Potsdam Hospital medical facilities, Clarkson University, and SUNY Potsdam.
Guests are provided a `Guest Guide` which outlines our rules and expectations for things such as where to put the trash, cleaning, Wi-Fi access, etc.

Check-in is 4pm and check-out is 11am. Should you desire an earlier check-in or later check-out time, please inquire to owner for availability and if there is a fee.

Housekeeping may arrive promptly at 11am on check-out day. We understand check-out morning can be challenging for guests, however, we have a very small window of time to properly prepare the residence for the next guest arrival. Late departures cause us to incur added expenses and last minute staff adjustments. Unfortunately, because of this, we will charge a `late departure` fee of $50 after 15 minutes and every 30 minutes thereafter if the property has not been vacated.

House Care & Cleaning Expectations:
Our cleaning fee covers a standard turnover cleaning — sanitizing bathrooms and kitchens, laundering linens & re-making beds, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and general tidying. It does not include maid service during your stay, deep cleaning, or cleaning up excessive messes. It is expected that our home, it’s contents, and the property be treated respectfully and in a prudent manner.
Please help us keep our home comfortable and welcoming for every guest by following these guidelines:
• Food debris — clean up food messes to avoid attracting critters.
• Dishes — should be washed and can be left clean in the dish rack or in the dishwasher to dry.
• Respect our cleaners — do not leave any “bodily eruption messes” (vomit, blood, urine, feces, etc.)
• ALL Furniture, Equipment, Housewares — return items back to their original places.
• Bath Linens — place all used bath linens in the laundry baskets provided.
• Bed Linens — our team will take care of stripping beds and wash the laundry.
• Trash —all garbage should be placed in the service bin at the road; do not any leave personal trash inside or outside the home.
• Toys & Games — make sure all toys and game pieces are put away neatly where they belong.

Extra time for things like trash clean up, spills, food on walls, moving furniture, sorting toys, or excessive mess may result in additional charges.

This property features a seasonal outdoor pool and rooms with microwaves. The property overlooks the St. Lawrence River and offers access to a boat slip and fishing dock. A refrigerator is standard in all Stone Fence Resort rooms. The rooms are also equipped with cable TV and free Wi-Fi. Guests at the Stone Fence are provided with daily breakfast buffet. The property also features a tennis and basketball court. The Stone Fence is 3 miles from the Remington Art Museum. The Odgensburg/Prescott International Airport is within a 20-minute drive of the property.

Beth's Place II is a new, beautifully furnished apartment that was built in March 2020. It is located above our garage and offers complete privacy. The apartment has one bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed, a living room with a twin-size sleeper sofa, and a full-size Murphy bed that can be pulled down as needed. The well-equipped kitchen features a full-size stove, a dining area, and everything you need to prepare a meal. There is also a lovely full bathroom with a washer and dryer, towels, washcloths, and basic toiletries.

The apartment has a private entrance with 14 steps leading up to the front door and has ample parking spaces.

Guests can relax and unwind in their private outdoor space, complete with a hot tub and stunning river views. The outdoor area also features chairs, a fire pit, a grill, and beautiful lights at night.

Our property itself is also quite lovely, and guests are welcome to use our brand-new pickleball court installed in September 2023, and the putting green in the front yard. The Raquette River, which flows right behind our house, is also available for our guests. The trail leading down to the river has handrails to make it easier to navigate, and we also provide kayaks and a fire pit down by the river for our guests.

Our stretch of the Raquette River flows all the way to downtown Potsdam, making it an excellent opportunity to kayak there and explore the town. Please note that kayaking is only available from May to November. We cover the putting green once it starts to snow.

Beth's Place - celebrating 10 years in business in 2024 - offers complete privacy on the ground floor of our home. It includes a cozy bedroom with a queen-size bed, a spacious living room with a queen-size sleeper sofa, a well-equipped kitchen with all the essentials for meal preparation, a dining area, and even a gas grill for outdoor cooking. The space also features a nice full bathroom with a tub/shower, towels, basic toiletries, a private entrance, and ample parking. Additionally, we can arrange two twin beds in the living room, accommodating up to 6 guests comfortably. There is a washer and dryer in the unit for convenience.

Guests will enjoy two private outdoor areas – one facing the putting green and pickleball court (installed 9/2023) in the front and another at the back with a grill, hot tub, and a river view. The hot tub is open year-round and is exclusively for the current guests of the unit. Our other unit, Beth's Place II, also has its own private hot tub. The igloo in the backyard is open year-round and shared with guests of the other unit, featuring string lights, seating, and a heater for colder months.

Beth's Place II is situated on the same property as Beth's Place, offering an alternative for different dates or to accommodate more guests.

Please note, we have a small dog on the upper floors of the house who is usually quiet but may bark briefly to announce arrivals.

Our property boasts a putting green and pickleball court in the front yard and access to the Raquette River at the back. The trail to the river has handrails on steep sections. Guests can enjoy kayaks, a fire pit, and a private beach by the river, with a swimmable stretch of the Raquette River (water shoes recommended) leading to downtown Potsdam. Kayaking is available from May to November, and we convert the putting green during snowy months.

Wake up on the water’s edge at Oak Hill Cottage. The first level offers an open floor plan with hardwood floors and plenty of room to gather and view the lake. The second level continues with hardwood floors and includes 2 bedrooms and a quiet sitting area. A separate sunroom, full of games and activities, sits adjacent to the dock and provides views of beautiful protected state land and the length of Trout Lake. Find yourself on the dock for outdoor dining, to lounge in comfortable chairs with a view, or to take off in the provided pontoon boat with 20 hp motor. The shoreline supplies a sandy, gradual decline into the water, two kayaks and a canoe, and ample space to take it all in with a fire pit and surrounding Adirondack chairs.

Guests must provide their own sheets and towels (2 queen beds, 1 queen pull out bed, 2 twin beds).
