Enjoy our lake home overlooking the main lake with incredible sunrises from a spacious deck. A full renovation was completed on the home this year. We renovated the home with a focus on having a "lake cottage" feel and focusing on being outside!

The home features 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. Bedroom one has a king bed, bedroom two has 2 queen beds, and bedroom three features a custom built bunk bed with an extra long twin on top and a full size mattress on bottom. The home also features a full length sunroom with full views of the lake. The new expanded two-tier deck features a large oak tree towering through the middle of the deck and providing a canopy of shade during the day, and lighting hung from the tree at night. We have also included an antique viewer purchased from a resort in Banff, Canada. Looking through this viewer you can see full detail across the lake into Land Between the Lakes or any boats on the water.

If you want to get closer to the water, there is a second deck down at the shoreline. This deck features chairs for lounging above the waters edge. If you choose to get even closer to the water, you can take advantage of the newly installed dock extending 70 feet out from the shore with a 10x40 platform. Feel free to fish, lounge, swim or pull your boat up to the dock for the day.

The home sits privately down the hill located behind the garage. There is parking for 3 cars. If you want to bring your boat, you are within a mile of 2 boat ramps. If you only have one vehicle, you will be able to park your boat parallel to the road in front of the garage. A second option would be to contact Moore's marina and rent a slip for your stay and simply keep your boat there. The house is less than a mile from Moore's.

You will find all the comforts of home including a full kitchen, refrigerator, stacked washer and dryer, cable and Wi-Fi. Of course, the idea with the lake house is to NOT be inside, but if you must, you will find a very comfortable home.

The house features a magnificent large porch with a dining table and seating for eight. It is furnished with a cozy couch, two chairs, and a coffee table. To enhance your comfort, two fans are mounted on the porch, ensuring a pleasant breeze. Additionally, there are two 11'x14' side patios—one equipped with a charcoal grill for outdoor cooking and the other adorned with two comfortable lounge chairs. We provide charcoal, and lighter fluid for your convenience. We offer complimentary firewood for the fire pit, conveniently stored in a wood holder near the house, perfect for enjoying a cozy fire or making delicious s'mores and hotdogs. Cornhole boards are also provided for your entertainment.

The Chateau Relaxo is conveniently situated just 1/10th of a mile from Moors Resort. You can easily walk or take a golf cart ride to various attractions such as a restaurant, bar, marina, boat docks, and beach area. If desired, you can rent our 4-seater golf cart for an additional fee (details available upon request). Ample parking space is available for both vehicles and boats.
As you enter the open-concept layout, you'll find a fully furnished kitchen complete with a kitchen table seating six, plus two stools at the island. The living room features a 70" smart TV for your enjoyment. A half bath. Two large bedrooms with attached bathrooms are located downstairs, with the master bedroom boasting a custom shower. Upstairs, there are two spacious bedrooms—one with 4 full-size beds and the other with two king-size beds. Each room has its own bathroom. The balcony upstairs is an ideal spot for reading or sitting at the bar playing board games. All four bedrooms are equipped with smart TVs. Additionally, each bedroom has its own Mitsubishi wall-mounted air conditioning unit, allowing guests to control the temperature to their liking.
The Chateau Relaxo comfortably accommodates up to 16 people. There is a 100 sq ft closet upstairs for storing items out of the way, furnished with a full-size bed and an additional full-size mattress that can be relocated as needed.
For your convenience, we have deadbolt locks that make check-in easy. A unique code will be generated for each booking, ensuring security.
Clean sheets and pillowcases are provided for each bed. The kitchen is fully stocked with essential appliances, including a crockpot, toaster, blender, coffee maker, Keurig machine with K-Cups, dishwasher, microwave, and stove. We also provide a washer and dryer, along with laundry detergent, an iron, and an ironing board. Additionally, you will find a supply of toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hairdryers. Dishwashing liquid and trash bags are also provided.
Please note that our property does not have a dock or private access to the lake. Newly remodeled four bedroom two bathrooms just steps away from Moors Resort and Marina. This home has a gentle sloped yard to the shared boat dock with private slip that allows direct lake access in the summer. There is a large deck looking out towards Buckhorn Bay with two eating areas there is also another eating area under the deck with access to the basement. The main level houses all four bedrooms and both bathrooms. The kitchen has recently been remodeled and is equipped for all your cooking needs. The basement is the perfect hang out for kids with two pull out couches, DVD player, and Wii gaming Console. The basement also houses a full-size washer and dryer. The Lake Retreat also offers a four and six seater golf cart to rent at an additional charge.

Home has two living rooms, one with Walkout and Lake view, 70" TV and seating for 9. The upstairs living room has a pool table, 70" TV and seating for 8.

Back of home has a covered 14x24 screen porch and a 10x30 uncovered deck with 2 tables and 12 chairs. Deck faces Northeast so shaded in afternoon and early evening. Deck has great view for sunrises.

Bedroom 1 has a Lake view with balcony, a King Bed and attached Bath.
Bedroom 2 has a Lake view with balcony, a King Bed with attached Bath.
Bedroom 3 has a King Bed with bath in hallway just outside the door.
Bedroom 4 has 2 bunk beds, twin over twin and full over full with bath in hallway just outside the door.

Note- this is a multi-level hillside lake home with 14 interior stairs and over 100 outside steps. If you have small children, or elderly members with balance or mobility issues, then this may not be the best property for you.

There is enough parking for 8-10 cars or 6 cars and your boat trailer. Home also has a Trolley to take you, and your gear, down to the boat dock. There is an ice maker in laundry room that makes up to 90 pounds of ice a day.

Home has whole home tankless water heater and water softener system. Kitchen has a reverse osmosis water filtration system with separate faucet.

Home is a short golf cart ride to Moors Marina, Boat Ramp & Ralph's Restaurant. Home comes with a 6 Person electric Golf Cart. Also available, for an extra fee, are two 2021 SeaDoo 130 GTI's.

Dock Notes:
1. Our dock is a fixed height ideal for Summer water levels. TVA drops the water level 4-6 feet during Sept-Apr.
2. The dock has a 9k pound cable lift setup for v-hull, pontoons or tritoons up to 28’.
3. The rental Sea Doo’s are on cable lifts.
4. Moors Marina offers covered slips for roughly $20 per day. Call 270-362-1410 for availability and current pricing.
5. One of the lifts may already have a boat on it during rental periods. Let us know if you plan to use the dock/lift for your boat during your stay.

- "Everything was perfect! Clean, spacious, perfect location! Was amazing have a boat dock so close. Golf carts are definitely a huge plus in helping to load and unload boats. - "The house is exactly as described. We enjoyed our stay and created lasting memories with our sons and granddaughter. The house is clean and well organized. There is plenty to do in the area before the kiddos go off to school; once school starts in the area, however, most of the local attractions are closed during the week. The LBL National Rec area is open and there's a lot to do and see there, but it is a 40 - 75 minute drive depending where you go. The hot tub is amazing. Our 7 y.o. granddaughter was its biggest fan, so we kept the temp at 97. But it was what got her calmed and ready for sleep each evening. Thanks for sharing your amazing home!"

- "Loved the home, the view, the fenced in yard for small children & dog, the private dock & the location of home! The property is within a very short walk to Moors where we rented a pontoon boat. It was close to Ralph’s bar & grill too. I loved the covered deck as well with a huge tree in backyard that provided shade which was important because my husband has stage 3C melanoma cancer! My husband & me & our young adult children all had a great time! We agreed it was our favorite home on a lake and a very nice lake at that! A shout out to Allison she was great to work with! A very nice home & property & area….. we will be back!"

The house includes two living areas on separate levels. The main level has two bedrooms and a bathroom. There is a deck with seating off the living room, a fully stocked kitchen, and a laundry room. The basement has two bedrooms and a bathroom, a kitchenette, with a concrete patio and firepit.

There is an industrial-grade ice maker in the basement for guest use.

- "The interior is nice and very clean. The owner was so awesome and easy to communicate with and super accommodating. Stayed here with my family (2 adults and two kids) and my parents. Just wish it was two full baths but we all managed and enjoyed our stay here. My mom has a walker and was able to get around the house. The kids liked going down to the dock to fish. Also liked that it’s has an open field so my kids could go out and play with family and friends. I didn’t have to worry about traffic or anything. Quiet little cove."

The space
Our listing is one of the original fishing cabins located at Kentucky Lake near the Moors Resort area. It has been completely updated in 2021 and is very private and cozy.
The cabin is studio style with one queen bed, queen sleeper sofa, living room, walk-in closet, kitchen, bathroom (stand-up shower with a seat) and a covered porch.
The outdoor area includes a fire pit, grill, and chairs available for guest use. Hot Tub has arrived and is being installed! Pictures coming soon!
Pets 25lbs (2) and under are allowed as long as the pet fee is paid. Any additional size pets, please contact the host for more details.
It is ideal for couples or groups of 3 or 4.
The cabin sits on a hilltop and there is a slight, very short uphill walk. Please see pictures for reference.

Parking is somewhat limited. Guests can fit two vehicle’s in the space. However, a boat and trailer would be tricky. There is plenty of parking for a boat at the marina.

3 bedroom, 2 bath home one level home. Located in Sherwood Shores. Large, covered front porch. Secluded back patio with new hot tub and additional seating. Outdoor area includes fire pit and charcoal grill. Perfect for cozy nights with family and friends. Open living/kitchen and roomy bedrooms. Primary has king sized mattress, en suite primary bath with walk in shower, 2nd bedroom has queen bed and 3rd bedroom has three section bunk bed, 2 twin and one full sized mattress (top has max capacity of 220lbs as well as each bottom bed) top bunk not safe for children under 6 due to risk of injury from fall. Washer and dryer available for use. Kitchen is equipped with all of the amenities of home.

Welcome to beautiful KY Lake!
We want to host respectful guest that are looking for a quiet, calm and relaxing family or group vacation.
Please read the Rental Agreement in its entirety as it is strictly enforced. It has important house specific policies. A signed copy must be returned within 72 hours of making your reservation or before your check-in date (whichever is first). A clear photo/copy of a valid driver’s license/state ID is also required. The name on the reservation must be someone physically staying at the home, signing the Rental Agreement and providing a copy of their ID. The person on the reservation is ultimately responsible for any monies owed due to damages/penalties/violations, however, the individual whose form of payment is on the reservation will initially be charged for any damages to the home or property and penalties/violations of the Rental Agreement.
Violation of any one of these policies may include termination of this agreement, removal of individuals of the property, and forfeiture of any down-payment and/or monies paid. Law enforcement will be contacted if ever necessary.
1. Cancellation Policy: To receive full refund, guests must cancel within 48 hours of booking, and the cancellation must occur at least 14 days before check in. If you cancel 14 or more days before check-in but not within 48 hours of booking, you’ll be refunded 50%. If you cancel between 7-14 days before check-in, you’ll be refunded 50%. Otherwise, refunds will not be issued.
2. Vacation Rental Insurance: We strongly recommend acquiring Vacation Rental Insurance that provides coverage for the loss of prepaid, non-refundable expenses due to certain unforeseeable circumstances that may jeopardize your vacation investment and for you to incur unplanned expenses. Our cancellation policy is strictly enforced.
3. Damages, Missing Items, Violations and Incidentals: In the event there are damages (outside of normal wear and tear) to the property or its contents, you are in direct violation to any one of the policies stated within this Rental Agreement, you will be charged and/or billed for each offense. You will be contacted within 14 days after check out with photos and/or descriptions of the violations or showing said damages and the cost of repairs/replacement costs of items. If something does accidentally break during your stay, please contact us immediately so the issue may be resolved forthwith.
a. You are responsible for the replacement cost of any of the contents inside and outside the home that are missing, broken or damaged during your stay. This includes but is not limited to, physically broken items (e.g. bed frames, TVs, chairs, couch,) missing items and damage from un-reported leaks, overflows, water intrusion, etc. **Report any water leaks or instructions immediately so they can be taken care of promptly.**
4. Maximum Overnight Occupancy: The maximum overnight occupancy of the home shall NOT exceed the number of persons (over the age of 12 months) the home sleeps. Violation of this policy will include a fee of $100 per person per night. This is firm.

5. Groups/Parties/Daytime Occupancy: We do not allow events or group parties at the home. *Any failure to abide by these policies will result in a fine of $500 per offense plus any costs incurred to restore home back to its original condition. You may face eviction and termination of the rest of your reservation.
6. Door Code and Children Supervision: The door code to access the home is to be used by and shared between overnight occupants only. An overnight occupant must accompany other individuals inside the home at all times. Children, age 12 and under, must have adult supervision inside and outdoors at all times.
7. Smoking of any kind, including vaping, is not allowed inside the home. Please pick up your cigarette butts if you smoke outside. *A fine of $500 will be charged if you smoke inside.
8. Minimum Age Requirement: you must be an adult, age 25 or older to reserve and this same adult, age 25 or older, must occupy the home during the entire stay. Reservations made by guest under age 25 will be cancelled. Identification and proof of age may be requested of each of the occupants on, before, or after check in.
9. Check-In and Check-Out (Central Time Zone): Check-in is 4pm or later. Check-out is 10am or earlier.
a. Late check-outs—based on availability and schedule-may be arranged at least 24 hours in advance for $50 per hour or up to one night’s rental rate (whichever is least).
10. Cleaning: The house will be fully cleaned for your arrival and after your departure, but no service will occur during your stay for reservations of 10 nights or less. Reservations of 11 nights or more may have additional options/requirements available.
11. Linens: Sheets, towels, bed pillows and bed comforters/quilts/blankets are provided for each bed/bath for your stay. Please bring your own beach towels or additional bedding/pillows you may require.
12. Locked Closets: Locked closets are for the homeowner’s personal items and must not be accessed. If forcefully accessed additional charges may apply of up to $200 plus the cost of items removed/used.
13. HVAC System: Doors and windows must be kept closed when the HVAC is on and running. The temperature must be set at 68 degrees or higher when in “cool mode” and no higher than 76 degrees when in “warm mode”. Not abiding by these guidelines can overload the HVAC unit resulting in failure of the system and you will be charged for the repairs.
14. Supplies: 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom and two rolls of paper towels will be provided. At least 2 trash can liners for kitchen and one trash can liner per bathroom will be provided. Hand and dish soap will also be provided. You are responsible for any additional supplies needed. Toiletry items are not provided.
15. Septic Tank: 74 Knottingham runs on a septic tank so PLEASE only flush toilet paper and be mindful of the usage. Please do not put food or oils down drains.
16. Maintenance, Repair and Construction Work: You are required to allow workers into the home when general maintenance or emergency repair work must be performed during your stay. As much advance notice as possible will be given.
17. Parking: The gravel parking area easily accommodates 5 vehicles . Boats/trailers parking available but must be coordinated with homeowner. If additional vehicles will be present, please coordinate with homeowner.
18. Quiet Hours: Please always be mindful and respectful of neighbors. Quiet hours will be from 10pm until 8am.
19. Grill: A charcoal grill is located under the front porch covering out of the elements however it MUST be moved to the gravel area that is NOT under the porch during use. Grilling under the covered porch is hazardous and strictly prohibited.
The owners of 74 Knottingham Drive, Gilbertsville KY 42044 are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occur while you or your guests are staying on premises or its facilities, nor the loss of personal belongings or valuables. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that you are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from you use do the premises or others you invite to use the premises. You hereby covenant and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the owners or rental agents, employees or contractors from and against any costs, damages, liabilities, claims, legal fees and other actions for any damages, costs, attorney’s fees, incurred by you, your permitted guests, visitors, agents, representatives or successors of you or your guests due to any claims relating to the destruction of property or injury to persons or loss of life sustained by you or your guests/visitors in or about the property and you expressly agree to save and hold indemnitees harmless in all such cases.
In the event you fail to pay any amounts due, regarding the rules and policies you have agreed upon above, a lawsuit will be filed, and you will be responsible for all the legal fees and costs incurred.

The space
Lake me away is a large home close to several amenities that Kentucky Lake offers. A 2 mile drive to a The Moors, a local marina and restaurant that offers great food, boat rentals and pay per use putt putt golf. It is walking distance to a local favorite, Cedar Hill Market, where you can grab any essentials you forgot or amazing breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There is water access a mile away.

Amenities for all! Spend the day playing pool, foosball,air hockey,darts, corn hole, a scavenger hunt, shuffleboard, karaoke,outdoor projector, INFINITY table and 6 TVs.. We have a large pirate ship play set. In the evening relax by the fire pit.

We have 3 kayaks available for use but you will have to transport to and from the lake. There is access less than 1 mile from the house! Charcoal grill available for use *charcoal not provided+

Effective may 2024 this home no longer has a hot tub.
