The canal offers full boating access to Lake Mitchell, and our 240 feet of canal frontage makes for some of the best land fishing Lake Mitchell has to offer! There are 6 kayaks and 2 stand up paddle boards included with you booking.

The chalet style cottage has 3 bedrooms with queen pillow top mattresses in each for the best night sleep. The master bedroom offers a great patio space to enjoy the breeze and beautiful views of the lake while taking in a good book or just relaxing and watching the sun set. There are two full baths with a custom stand up shower upstairs and a full bathtub on the main floor.

This cottage has air-conditioning units both upstairs and down that really help cool the space during the hot summer days. Enjoy your morning coffer from the large deck that overlooks the canal and the beautiful tree lined property.

Our cottage sits on three large lots with plenty of shade from the large oak trees. There is plenty of room for yard games and a great fire pit to enjoy during your stay. Also has a Large outdoor gas grill for all your cooking needs. The extra space and large driveway is great for parking your vehicles and a boat trailer. The cottage is well equipped with 55” Smart TV in the living room and a 40” Smart TV in the master bedroom. Also included is high-speed wireless internet and a play station 4 gaming system in the living room.

The Kids Cove Hideaway! There is a cozy bonus room above the garage that has an additional queen bed and two twin beds and Air Conditioning! This space also has a large TV with a Play Station 4 gaming system. We call this space the “Kids Cove”, and it makes for a great place for the kids to gather and have their one little retreat.

Also included with our cottage are six kayaks and two stand up paddle boards for your daily water adventures. You are a short paddle from the cottage to the local sandbar where vacationers anchor their boats and play in the crystal clear sandy bottom water on a warm summer day.

You can also access Lake Mitchell from the neighborhood beach that is a short walk from the cottage front door. Another great feature just out the front door is direct access to the Manistee National Forest with miles of trails for hiking and Mt. Biking adventures. These trails are lined with some of the best black berry bushes in Northern Michigan.

The views from this house are breathtaking with 50 feet of lakefront on the western shore of Lake Mitchell that is peaceful, great for fishing, perfect for swimming with a nice sandy bottom and beautiful sunsets. The views are spectacular in all four seasons with close proximity to Crystal Mountain, Caberfae, multiple golf courses and Traverse City. This waterfront open concept includes spacious bedrooms with sleep accommodations for up to 10 comfortably. The home is smoke free and no pets allowed.

Go upstairs and enjoy a 300 sq. ft. game room with pool table, Foosball table, and tournament-size (22 feet!) shuffleboard overlooking the lake. Find the corner family/reading room and enjoy large windows with a panoramic view of the lake. It has a modern kitchen with granite countertops, huge windows throughout, new carpet, two fireplaces, and a full washer and dryer. Relax in a large covered patio out the pub door, or a fire pit nestled in a private semi-wooded lot along the water, or out on the private 90 foot dock to enjoy stunning sunsets. Watch the kids enjoy the water, which is shallow (2-3 feet) out for a significant distance, with a sandy bottom. Also four kayaks available at no additional cost.
Lake Mitchell is also connected to Lake Cadillac by canal which provides access to nearly 4000 acres of fishing and water recreation. Easy access to property, plenty of parking, and just minutes to local restaurants, shopping, and downtown Cadillac. Convenient to both Caberfae and Crystal Mountain ski resorts, and short drives to Lake Michigan and Traverse City.

Perfect getaway for families/friends. Cadillac has something for everyone all year round.

Very roomy and clean house. Enjoy spectacular views of the lake enjoying the large deck. House is fully furnished for your enjoyment. The lake is an all sports lake. In summer months there is great fishing, water skiing, tubing, jet skiing. The Boat launch is located down the street with room on the boat dock to tie up your boat. The house rental includes use of 2 kayak’s, 1 paddle board and a number of floating rafts and toys for the water.

The kitchen is well stocked, just need to bring your food. House sleeps 10, 1 queen bedroom main level, upstairs 4 twins, 1 full and a 1 queen sofa sleeper. The house has a bath and a half.

For those hot summer nights take a stroll down to Thirsty's Party store for some delicious ice-cream or for those cool evenings enjoy a fire roasting marshmallows!

There are several golf courses and one right across the street! There's lots of good fishing and hiking, biking and my favorite is the walk around Cadillac Lake that leads to downtown where there are some great restaurants and the cutest shops for home décor to summer dresses. The Farmers market has a variety of veggies and homemade items, on occasion local artisans.

Kitchen is fully stocked, gas grill available on side house deck for grilling. House includes all sheets, pillows, blankets, bath towels and beach towels. The house has parking for up to 4 vehicles or 3 vehicles and a boat trailer.

We sat by the fire and had a perfect view of the Cadillac fireworks one night. The cottage was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Communication with the property manager was great. If we had a question, she answered immediately. Highly recommend this property," - "This was a perfect location for me personally, not only because of the lake front but it was 3 minutes away from family for a wedding I was in. The house was very clean with many updates already done. The evenings were really cool so not having air was no big deal for us. It was mostly my husband and I staying there and the night before the wedding we had the groom and his 3 groomsmen stay the night. The loft is mostly twin beds which was fine for a bunch of dudes anyway. It would be awesome for a family with kids. Some of the taller guys did bump their heads but were ok. I was really looking forward to kayaking but the wedding took every spare minute I had. But I did peek in the shed and everything I could need was in there (kayaks, paddle board, paddles, life vests. Also the lake is shallow near the house so great for kids to play without too much worry. Sylvia was amazing with any questions that I had. I had another VRBO cancel on me two weeks before the wedding and she was awesome making sure we wouldn't have the same issue. We were very appreciative. We had the family that lives in Cadillac drop in to see the place and they may use this rental anytime they need extra space because it was nice and so close. I would rent again."
