Relax and enjoy our wonderful vacation home nestled on the canal of Lake Mitchell. The canal offers full boating access to Lake Mitchell, and our 240 feet of canal frontage makes for some of the best land fishing Lake Mitchell has to offer! There are 6 kayaks and 2 stand up paddle boards included with you booking.

The chalet style cottage has 3 bedrooms with queen pillow top mattresses in each for the best night sleep. The master bedroom offers a great patio space to enjoy the breeze and beautiful views of the lake while taking in a good book or just relaxing and watching the sun set. There are two full baths with a custom stand up shower upstairs and a full bathtub on the main floor.

This cottage has air-conditioning units both upstairs and down that really help cool the space during the hot summer days. Enjoy your morning coffer from the large deck that overlooks the canal and the beautiful tree lined property.

Our cottage sits on three large lots with plenty of shade from the large oak trees. There is plenty of room for yard games and a great fire pit to enjoy during your stay. Also has a Large outdoor gas grill for all your cooking needs. The extra space and large driveway is great for parking your vehicles and a boat trailer. The cottage is well equipped with 55” Smart TV in the living room and a 40” Smart TV in the master bedroom. Also included is high-speed wireless internet and a play station 4 gaming system in the living room.

The Kids Cove Hideaway! There is a cozy bonus room above the garage that has an additional queen bed and two twin beds and Air Conditioning! This space also has a large TV with a Play Station 4 gaming system. We call this space the “Kids Cove”, and it makes for a great place for the kids to gather and have their one little retreat.

Also included with our cottage are six kayaks and two stand up paddle boards for your daily water adventures. You are a short paddle from the cottage to the local sandbar where vacationers anchor their boats and play in the crystal clear sandy bottom water on a warm summer day.

You can also access Lake Mitchell from the neighborhood beach that is a short walk from the cottage front door. Another great feature just out the front door is direct access to the Manistee National Forest with miles of trails for hiking and Mt. Biking adventures. These trails are lined with some of the best black berry bushes in Northern Michigan.

The views from this house are breathtaking with 50 feet of lakefront on the western shore of Lake Mitchell that is peaceful, great for fishing, perfect for swimming with a nice sandy bottom and beautiful sunsets. The views are spectacular in all four seasons with close proximity to Crystal Mountain, Caberfae, multiple golf courses and Traverse City. This waterfront open concept includes spacious bedrooms with sleep accommodations for up to 10 comfortably. The home is smoke free and no pets allowed.

Very roomy and clean house. Enjoy spectacular views of the lake enjoying the large deck. House is fully furnished for your enjoyment. The lake is an all sports lake. In summer months there is great fishing, water skiing, tubing, jet skiing. The Boat launch is located down the street with room on the boat dock to tie up your boat. The house rental includes use of 2 kayak’s, 1 paddle board and a number of floating rafts and toys for the water.

The kitchen is well stocked, just need to bring your food. House sleeps 10, 1 queen bedroom main level, upstairs 4 twins, 1 full and a 1 queen sofa sleeper. The house has a bath and a half.

For those hot summer nights take a stroll down to Thirsty's Party store for some delicious ice-cream or for those cool evenings enjoy a fire roasting marshmallows!

There are several golf courses and one right across the street! There's lots of good fishing and hiking, biking and my favorite is the walk around Cadillac Lake that leads to downtown where there are some great restaurants and the cutest shops for home décor to summer dresses. The Farmers market has a variety of veggies and homemade items, on occasion local artisans.

Kitchen is fully stocked, gas grill available on side house deck for grilling. House includes all sheets, pillows, blankets, bath towels and beach towels. The house has parking for up to 4 vehicles or 3 vehicles and a boat trailer.

We had the family that lives in Cadillac drop in to see the place and they may use this rental anytime they need extra space because it was nice and so close. I would rent again."

The space
We believe that the location of our house on a secluded peninsula is truly unique. If your goal is a relaxed vacation the large grassy yard, the sandy private beach, the waterfront deck, and the boat dock mean you never have to leave the property to stay entertained. If instead you want to explore the best parts of Northern Michigan then this cabin is ideally situated to take advantage of our beautiful area. 15 minutes or less to skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, fishing, boating, swimming, canoeing, and golfing.

Guests will have access to entire house (excepting one small room for supplies) and the front half of the garage.
We have one security camera on the main entrance it is facing the garage

Due to local regulations we have to limit both the number of guests allowed to stay with us and the number of vehicles allowed to park on the premises.

We can host groups with up to 12 guests (not including infants 2 and under)

Our guests can park up to 4 cars at this location. If you have more than 4 vehicles let us know and we can help you with overflow parking.

Watching the kids swim off the beach being able for us adults to just take our chairs and sit in the water. Peaceful retreat in Cadillac Michigan. Boating in the summer, snowmobiling in the winter or just a quiet getaway. Drink your morning coffee on the deck with views of Lake Mitchell or head to the huge back yard with fire pit and access to lots of trails.
Plenty of space for sleeping with 2 bedrooms and a bunk house, which is a perfect place for kids. Master Bedroom has a queen size bed with master bath and soaker/jet tub for those nights after hitting the slopes. Second bedroom has two Queen beds with large walk in closet. The bunkhouse is off the garage with two sets of twin bunkbeds. All linens are provided.
The living room has a slider door to the backyard, which backs up to woods and hiking trails. It also offers a queen size pull out couch for some extra sleeping space.
For your convince we offer a wash machine and dryer. Our fully stocked kitchen includes plates, utensils and pans. As well as dishwasher and microwave. Dining room offers table and chairs for 6. We also include all towels for the beach, bath and kitchen.
Outside you will enjoy plenty of space to hang out whether playing games during the day or taking in the stars at night around the fire pit. Across the street there is a small shared lake access to swim at or hang out by the water. Not far down the road there is a boat launch if you want to bring your boat. In the winter we are 20mins from Caberfae or 30mins to Crystal Mountain for some skiing and we are conveniently located to hop on snowmobile trails. There is a nice table and chairs with a grill on the back deck and chairs for sitting around the fire.

- "We loved this property! This quiet street on a large lake was perfect for young children (who go to bed early and wake up early!). Neighbors were friendly and the water access was exactly right for our kids. The sandy lake bottom and waist deep water allowed the kiddos to play for hours while parents (and grandparents) watched from the dock. There were plenty of inflatables and yard games to keep our family entertained for days. Except for a few spiders, normal for NoMi lake houses, the house was clean and well cared for. Bring your own beach towels, tp, toiletries and trash bags and you should be all set! The owner was quick to respond, helpful with questions and offered suggestions of things to do in the area. We would recommend this property to our friends and hope to be back again next year!"
