Hotels.com guests should be aware that there are signs on the road in that reference Jesus. We also saw a couple prayer circles. This was not a problem for us. It waa early season so the lovely pools were not open. They send an email with check in directions which were use the lock box. We did not get the email. We went to what looked like a check in area and no one was around. This was quite distressing at first. We did find someone and we did figure it out, but be sure to check your spam email box."

Built in 1875, this newly renovated two bedroom home, is centrally located in downtown North East. Modern finishes and an open concept living space compliment the original wood floors, clawfoot tub and exposed brick walls. All the amenities of Main Street are steps away, yet the home is tucked away on a quiet street with a creek in the back yard. One block from North East Park, Anchor Marina and the headwaters of the Chesapeake Bay.

Every aspect of this home has been remodeled while preserving the original details of a bygone era. The living room is flanked by seven foot windows and includes an Article queen sleeper sofa. The open concept flows into the well-equipped kitchen and sunroom with exposed brick walls. The first floor includes a full bathroom with a clawfoot tub as well as a dining space, laundry and an additional half bath.

In the upper level you'll find the master bedroom with a king sized 12" memory foam mattress and a second guest bedroom which also includes a queen sized 12" memory foam mattress. Both bedrooms share a second full bathroom upstairs.

Off the rear of the home, you have a deck and BBQ grill that overlooks the yard and creek. The creek is a tidal tributary of the North East river and you'll often find ducks and geese in the yard.

Please note! The stairs in our home are steep and the stair treads are more narrow than modern homes. This is quite common for the time period, but we do want guests to be aware if you have difficulty with steps.

Welcome to “Your Retreat” in downtown North East, Maryland. We have a charming Main St surrounded by a variety of homes, restaurants and shops- all only 3 blocks away. We have a scenic town park with picnic tables, pavilions, and a large playground. We are located at the head of the North East River, so we are afforded all of the leisure activities the water provides. Close proximity to I-95 makes travel easy. The space
Enjoy access to the entire home. There is a queen sized bed in each of the 2 bedrooms. There are also 2 twin sized cots available that can be set up as well so the home can comfortably sleep up to 6 guests. Everything is located on the main floor with the exception of the washer and dryer which is in the unfinished basement.

Welcome to our Historic home in the heart of Port Deposit, built towards the end of the Victorian Era, this 14 room home has the structure of a gracious painted lady showing off her exotic example of "Steamboat Gothic" gingerbread. Come stay in our quaint little riverfront town and enjoy both the old town charm and the "River Life".
The Queen Suite has it's own entrance/exit off of the Manor. Enter into your Living room w/sofa/smart TV/pub table/mini fridge/freezer/microwave/Keurig coffee pot. Everything you need for a relaxing weekend. If you plan to eat a lot then a week. Through your Living room, into a short hallway to your right is a spacious beautiful full bathroom, with Jack and Jill doors, one to the hall and the other directly to your bedroom. The Queen bedroom again, connects to your private bathroom, and is airy and opened yet comfy all at the same time. All 3 rooms and balcony/entrance are designated to you and you alone. Relax and Enjoy your stay. Need more room? Rather have a full Kitchen? Check out or private cottage also listed on VRBO. Some outside common areas could be shared with owners and guest of the cottage. Both rentals are in the center of town with firehouse, trains and the main street, we could have higher than normal noise levels. There are outdoor security cameras in the property.

Our Log Cabins measure 27′ x 14’7″, with a 6′ porch. There is a set of bunk beds in one room, a living area with a futon, a separate bedroom with a double bed and a loft with 2 single beds. Each cabin sleeps a maximum of 8 people (that’s putting 2 people on a futon so they should be little ones!) and includes a large full bathroom. Each has A/C and heat, and a kitchen unit with a refrigerator/freezer, 2-burner stove, microwave, sink and table with 4 chairs. All linens are included. Kitchen supplies are provided. Charcoal grill, fire pit and picnic table are available on site.

Non-Smoking Policy
Smoking of any kind (tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, vaping) is strictly prohibited inside the apartment, on balconies, patios, in all indoor common areas, and within 25 feet of any entrance, window, or ventilation intake.
The designated smoking area is located in the back of the building parking lot at the rear of the property, at least 25 feet from the building or the grassy areas around the house.
A $600 fee will be charged for any violation of the smoking policy, in addition to cleaning charges and possible eviction.
Please do not re-enter the building immediately after smoking marijuana or tobacco. Ensure clothing and personal items are free from smoke odor before returning inside, as lingering odors can disturb other occupants and will be treated as a violation of the smoking policy.
Evidence of smoking (odor, residue, ash, cigarette butts, or burn marks) will result in immediate enforcement of this policy.
Pets (only dogs 20lbs max)
All pets must be authorized prior to occupancy and all applicable fees paid.
Only authorized pets are permitted. Unauthorized pets may result in immediate eviction.
Dogs must be supervised at all times and never left unattended in the apartment unless crated.
When left alone, dogs must be securely crated to prevent damage or disturbance.
Protect the floors by placing one of your dog’s blankets or mats underneath the crate or where your dog rests, to prevent scratches or damage.
Dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds.
Immediate clean-up of pet waste is required, both inside and outside the property.
Persistent barking or disruptive behavior is not permitted.
Any pet-related damage or excessive cleaning will result in additional charges.

Laundry
Laundry facilities are for registered occupants only. Clean up after use and report any issues promptly.
Linens & Bedding
Do not strip the beds. Place all used bathroom linens on the bathroom floor.
Do not use bleach on any bedding, towels, or linens provided. Damaged or discolored items will be replaced at your expense.
Linens and bedding may not be used for cleaning or any other purpose; misuse will result in replacement fees.
Cleaning & Maintenance
The cleaning fee covers only the removal, washing, and replacement of unit linens.
All other areas must be left as found; occupants are responsible for cleaning up after themselves.
Excessive mess or failure to clean will result in additional cleaning charges.
Bathroom cleaning supplies are provided. Please use them to maintain bathroom cleanliness.
Only use white vinegar (never bleach or harsh chemicals) to clean hard surfaces such as floors, counters, and tiles. Do not use vinegar on stainless steel.
Do not attempt to clean any upholstered item without consulting the host first; unauthorized cleaning may result in mandatory replacement.
Use coasters under all drinks to prevent stains on surfaces.
Do not use linens or bedding for cleaning purposes; replacement charges will apply.
Modifications, Trash, & Odors
No modifications to the apartment, fixtures, or furnishings are permitted without prior written consent.
All trash must be bagged and disposed of in designated bins. Do not leave trash in hallways or common areas.
Please avoid creating strong or lingering odors (including from cooking, incense, or candles). Candles are not permitted.
Do not use air fresheners or sprays of any kind; these are not allowed to prevent lingering or masking odors.
Thermostat Instructions
Please keep the thermostat set at 65°F in the winter, and 78°F in summer for optimal comfort and energy efficiency. HVAC may also be in the off position during fall and spring.
If you have questions about adjusting the thermostat, please contact the host.
Doors, Windows & Lights
Close and lock all windows and doors whenever you leave the apartment or while operating HVAC. Energy use above $5/day will be billed to the occupants unless you put the utility bill in your name.
Turn off all lights when you are not in the unit or when leaving for the day to help conserve energy.
Emergency Exit
The emergency exit for Apt 3 is located at the end of the main hallway.
The door is clearly marked with a sign and must remain closed at all times other than emergency.
The exit path leads directly to an outward-opening door at the bottom of the steps.
This door leads directly outside to a safe area away from the building.
Keep this path clear at all times and do not use the emergency exit for storage or non-emergency access.
Reporting & Communication
Notify the host immediately of any accidents, spills, or mechanical failures so proper advice can be given and further damage avoided.
Prompt communication helps maintain the property and ensures a safe, comfortable stay for everyone.
Check-Out Instructions
Leave the apartment in the same clean condition as when you arrived.
Place used bathroom linens on the bathroom floor.
Remove all personal belongings and dispose of trash properly.
Close and lock all windows and doors.
Turn off all lights.
Return all keys and access cards as instructed.

Smoking of any kind (tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, vaping) is strictly prohibited inside the apartment, on balconies, patios, in all indoor common areas, and within 25 feet of any entrance, window, or ventilation intake.
The designated smoking area is located in the back of the building parking lot at the rear of the property, at least 25 feet from the building or the grassy areas around the house.
A $600 fee will be charged for any violation of the smoking policy, in addition to cleaning charges and possible eviction.
Please do not re-enter the building immediately after smoking marijuana or tobacco. Ensure clothing and personal items are free from smoke odor before returning inside, as lingering odors can disturb other occupants and will be treated as a violation of the smoking policy.
Evidence of smoking (odor, residue, ash, cigarette butts, or burn marks) will result in immediate enforcement of this policy.
Pets: SMALL DOGS ONLY ALLOWED (dog only allowed 20lbs max)
All pets must be authorized prior to occupancy and all applicable fees paid.
Only authorized pets are permitted. Unauthorized pets may result in immediate eviction.
Dogs must be supervised at all times and never left unattended in the apartment unless crated.
When left alone, dogs must be securely crated to prevent damage or disturbance.
Protect the floors by placing one of your dog’s blankets or mats underneath the crate or where your dog rests, to prevent scratches or damage.
Dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds.
Immediate clean-up of pet waste is required, both inside and outside the property.
Persistent barking or disruptive behavior is not permitted.
Any pet-related damage or excessive cleaning will result in additional charges.
Do not use baseboard heater. Only use Minisplit Heat.
Security Cameras
Security cameras are installed at the following locations:
Main building entrance, Rear entrance, Laundry room entry, Hallway outside Apt 1A
These cameras monitor entry points and common areas only. There are no cameras inside the apartment or in any private spaces. Tampering with or disabling cameras is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate removal.

This unit comes with an updated washer and dryer
Linens & Bedding
Do not strip the beds. Place all used bathroom linens on the bathroom floor.
Do not use bleach on any bedding, towels, or linens provided. Damaged or discolored items will be replaced at your expense.
Linens and bedding may not be used for cleaning or any other purpose; misuse will result in replacement fees.
Cleaning & Maintenance
The cleaning fee covers only the removal, washing, and replacement of unit linens.
All other areas must be left as found; occupants are responsible for cleaning up after themselves.
Excessive mess or failure to clean will result in additional cleaning charges.
Bathroom cleaning supplies are provided. Please use them to maintain bathroom cleanliness.
Only use white vinegar (never bleach or harsh chemicals) to clean hard surfaces such as floors, counters, and tiles. Do not use vinegar on stainless steel.
Do not attempt to clean any upholstered item without consulting the host first; unauthorized cleaning may result in mandatory replacement.
Use coasters under all drinks to prevent stains on surfaces.
Do not use linens or bedding for cleaning purposes; replacement charges will apply.
Modifications, Trash, & Odors
No modifications to the apartment, fixtures, or furnishings are permitted without prior written consent.
All trash must be bagged and disposed of in designated bins. Do not leave trash in hallways or common areas.
Please avoid creating strong or lingering odors (including from cooking, incense, or candles). Candles are not permitted.
Do not use air fresheners or sprays of any kind; these are not allowed to prevent lingering or masking odors.
Thermostat Instructions
Please keep the thermostat set at 65°F in the winter, and 78°F in summer for optimal comfort and energy efficiency. HVAC may also be in the off position during fall and spring.
If you have questions about adjusting the thermostat, please contact the host.
Doors, Windows & Lights
Close and lock all windows and doors whenever you leave the apartment or while operating HVAC. Energy use above $5/day will be billed to the occupants unless you put the utility bill in your name.
Turn off all lights when you are not in the unit or when leaving for the day to help conserve energy.
Emergency Exit
Please note there are two exits to this apartment. The entrance and the rear door. The rear door is for emergency access only. Opening the door will trip an alarm and emergency services may be automatically called at your expense for any non emergency. The corridor beyond this door is for private use except for an emergency and is under 24/7 camera surveillance.

Reporting & Communication
Notify the host immediately of any accidents, spills, or mechanical failures so proper advice can be given and further damage avoided.
Prompt communication helps maintain the property and ensures a safe, comfortable stay for everyone.
Check-Out Instructions
Leave the apartment in the same clean condition as when you arrived.
Place used bathroom linens on the bathroom floor.
Remove all personal belongings and dispose of trash properly.
Close and lock all windows and doors.
Turn off all lights.
Return all keys and access cards as instructed.

Your private retreat is in our Colonial style home in a safe small neighborhood. This is a listing for 1 or 2 guests on a queen size bed. If you need anything we are happy to assist you, but you are going to be left mostly to your own devices. We have tried to create a relaxing and private space, but you are welcome to join us downstairs for TV or conversation. Sorry, non-smokers only. We are COVID vaccinated.

The space
Our guest room sleeps a maximum of TWO (2) people. If you are a couple with an infant baby, please message us through AirBnB. We do have a separate listing for groups of 3, or two travelers who want separate beds.

We have traveled often with AirBnB and know that guests prefer a variety of interactions. We are happy to leave you alone, and happy to engage in conversation. We can provide excellent advice on dining, travel tips, recreation and antiquing in our region.

Our remodeled guest room is upstairs on the NE corner of the house, and it is dark at night, particularly in the summer time. In the morning the two large windows let in plenty of sunlight. You can close the blinds if you need it darker. You might hear a faint train whistle in the night, and the murmur of distant traffic.

We have a dog named Tucker, and two super friendly cats; Willow and Zoomer. The litter box is in a closed basement room far from your space. The cats do sleep on the landing at the top of the stairs.

To enter our home there is a porch with a concrete sidewalk and low steps to the front door (see photos). The covered entry includes handrails. The guest room is up a regular flight of carpeted stairs with handrails on both sides. The bathroom has permanently set hand holds for safety in the shower. The gazebo and backyard patio is accessed by stairs with handrails. Our backyard is lush and large, and includes a screened gazebo, an upper deck and a lovely lower patio with a porch swing.

You are welcome to sit on the bench outside the front door and enjoy the garden.

A pot of hot coffee (1/2 reg & 1/2 decaf) is on every morning. You can put food in the kitchen refrigerator - just make space as needed.

No parties, events or illegal activity please. Quiet time is 10:00 pm, particularly on work nights. Guitar players welcome. Please respect our neighbors by parking on our driveway only, and not being loud outside. Your room is furnished for TWO (2) people only.

Our main goal is to have guests feel comfortable and leave feeling refreshed for a new day of travel and exploration.

Check-in is 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. We provide guests with a key for later access.

During your stay
Craig has a graphic design business and works out of an office in our home, so he will be the main contact for guests. In the evenings and weekends, Cathy will be around. We will strive to answer questions quickly and be available during your stay. Guests have their own bathroom, which is never shared with another party.

We try to let guests guide us while interacting, so we know how much to engage in conversation. Please let us know what you need. You are not going to hurt our feelings if you just want to be left alone.

Likewise, quiet time is 10:00 pm - and we ask that guests let us alone after that hour.

Other things to note
Our dog is friendly and well socialized, but gets excited when company arrives. Tucker will want to greet you with enthusiasm, and will probably sniff you awkwardly. Tucker can sleep in our bedroom at night, but normally sleeps in the living room. When you arrive, please take a few minutes and get to know Tucker a little, so he can get your scent and know you are friendly. We will help with that of course.

Please do not get right down in Tucker's face, he doesn't like that.

When you arrive, please take a few minutes and get to know Tucker a little, so he can get your scent and know you are friendly. We will help with that of course.
