Smoking is permitted in your private vehicle only never near the cottage, marijuana/drug uses strictly forbidden, and will be reported if suspected. Please wash your dishes, thoroughly wipe up any spills messes and clean up after your pet. Pets need to remain on a leash at all times.
Please stay within your cottage area each cottage on the property has plenty of space and privacy so if you would like to walk around, there are trails between the main house and the road and the main roads are good for exploring.

No. Our home is in high demand! We use this precious little time to prepare the home following the CDC Cleaning Guidelines and complete any maintenance tasks so your stay is uninterrupted. If additional time is important to you, we recommend booking an additional night for your stay.

Do you allow luggage drop-off for early arrivals or late departures?

- No, unfortunately, we are unable to offer luggage drop-off at this time.

Can I book on behalf of a friend, family member, or co-worker?

- No. While we would love to host whoever you are booking for, we do need them to book for themselves with their own account. You can potentially earn travel credit by referring someone to book their first reservation. Go to Account Settings and click on Invite Friends for more details.

- "We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Pine City on Cross Lake at the Edgewater Bungalow! The home is well designed with an open kitchen, and dining room. The kitchen has a nice island for preparing food and the dining area contains a large wooden table perfect for family games. The kitchen is well stocked. The only thing we could have used more of were more dish towels and dish soap. Really appreciated all the plastic containers in which to store leftovers and the set of colorful serving bowels. The master bedroom, which is located upstairs, is wonderful! The bathroom has two sinks and the shower is spacious. The mattress is very comfortable, but our favorite part was the trapezoid window which allowed us to look at the moon or watch the clouds drift by. We often ate on the deck which offers incredible views of a portion of the lake. Although the home is lovely, we spent most of our time outside, floating near the dock with our cocktail of the day, kayaking, and playing beanbags down by the water. Our adult kids really appreciated the short trip from the cities, the good Wi-Fi, and the Nintendo Switch. We all appreciated the warm water and the weedless area off the end of the dock. Had plenty of beach towels but could have used more bath towels. One day we rented a pontoon from Pine-toon rental and enjoyed a full day of boating. My husband tried some fishing but wasn’t very successful. Maybe he’ll have more luck when we return next year!"

While we went in the winter, we got the full winter wonderland experience with tubing and playing on the frozen lake. They have a wonderful deck with a grill that we did utilize. We missed out on the opportunity to use the inviting firepit but opted for the cozy fireplace inside. The house comes with everything you need to make yourself at home, and stores and groceries are less than a 10-minute drive. Definitely worth braving the cold for these Floridians."

Enjoy a cabin getaway available year round, only 1 hour north of the Twin Cities. Our 2-bedroom, 2-bath vacation rental cabin (sleeps 8-10) is nestled alongside Lake Pokegama in Pine City. It is west-facing and offers beautiful sunset views, an open floor plan including a 4-season porch, and lawn to enjoy bonfires and yard games. Snowmobile trails nearby and ice fishing is steps away. Dock your boat, rent one nearby or use the provided canoe and 2 paddle boards to explore the 1,500-acre lake with 2 restaurants, 2 launches, and access to the Snake River and Cross Lake.
The space
We have a master bedroom with a comfortable king size bed and smart TV. The “bunk room” has 2-kings and 4-twins to sleep up to 8. Two newly remodeled full bathrooms.
Guest access
Our guests have access to entire property except a couple locked areas inside the cabin and garage where we keep personal belongings. We don't rent our pontoon boat or jet ski, but have a few nearby rental options.
Other things to note
We have used a rental management company for 3 years, we had 4.9/5 star rating on VRBO. Now that we are managing ourselves we have to start over with reviews. I have included a few of our guests comments from our guest book in the photos.
Lake Pokegama is beautiful year round, but like many Minnesota lakes it can get green by August depending on rain, wind, etc. If swimming around the dock is important to you during your stay, we highly recommend booking in June or July. This 1400-Sq Ft house on Cross Lake is the perfect getaway! Easy access from the Twin Cities - only an hour north on I-35.
Cross Lake is around a 1000-acre lake with good water quality and beautiful nature. Great for fishing, boating, kayaking, whatever water activities you like.
The house is on two levels, one bedroom and one bathroom on each floor. Living room has a sofa bed that can be used as additional sleeping arrangement.
Our Floe dock is in the water from Memorial Day through September and is very convenient for parking your boat or jet skis.
Chengwatana State Forest (29,041 acres) is about 10 minutes from the house and has trails for x-country skiing, horseback riding, ATV's, and hunting.
Plenty to do, no matter what the season is!

There are no TV's at the house, but there is a wireless internet for surfing and streaming.

If you`re looking for a peaceful escape, you`ve found it! We offer a unique and flexible accommodation experience that can comfortably host up to six guests .The suite is priced for two people, but can accommodate an additional four guests for a small extra charge per person. We live on the property and occasionally use the open space in the lower level but are very quiet and respectful of your privacy. You basically have the home to yourself but please note, only the upper level is for your private use. There is an amazing outdoor kitchen and fire pit/ patio for shared use as well.

If you need additional parking let us know! Feel free to enjoy the trails throughout the property just be mindful of the shop area and other cottages are likely occupied so be mindful of other guests privacy.

Feel free to utilize the shared outdoor fridge located at the back of the home. For your exclusive enjoyment, we provide a fire pit, picnic table, and propane grill. Inside the cottage, you'll find an electric kettle, French press, and a selection of coffee and teas. The cabinet holds wine glasses, cups, plates, silverware, and everything you need for cooking on your private grill. Across the road, behind the cottage, you'll find a rustic outhouse with a bucket shower, soaps, and your own private camping toilet! During the summer months, there's a freshwater spigot available next to the refrigerator at the back of the house. Please note, we kindly request no cats.
To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests, we have the following additional rules regarding pets: We accept up to two dogs under 20lbs only Please register your pets at the time of booking to make appropriate accommodations. Pets must be on a leash at all times and please clean up after them. For their safety, pets are not allowed to be left unattended in the cottage due to its small size. In addition, any pets that will be accompanying you must be mentioned at the time of booking and added to the booking form. There is a prepaid fee which will be added.
