BBQ is located on the patio off the kitchen sliding glass door for easy cooking access.

Our tiny "Treehouse" is for someone (or couple) with a fun, youthful spirit, who is full of adventure and looking for a unique stay and experience, right at the heart of downtown Pocatello.

The "Treehouse" is a penthouse on the "North Building," a historic, renovated apartment building built in 1916 and offers an incredible 360 view over the valley and Historic Downtown Pocatello. Currently they are building a new park around our building, thereby giving direct access to all downtown events.

The "Treehouse" has a warm feel to it with bright colors, paintings of flowers and insects throughout (it will bring out your inner child!). It has all the necessities, in one cozy space.

Guests can use the building laundromat in the basement of the building. to access this use the back entrance basement entrance.

The roof does not have access (yet). The door is locked for safety reasons.

I don't live on the property but I do live in town, if there's any need I can be available. The check-in is fully hands-off and we respect the full privacy of our guests.

Historic Downtown Pocatello

Our building is surrounded by Lookout Point under construction (2022) for Downtown Pocatello which will host the Farmers Market, Revive at Five and many more events (starting spring 2023)

Our tiny treehouse is located on top of the North Building right at the heart of the Historic Downtown Pocatello. There are several micro breweries, restaurants and coffee shops and many stores in walking distance.

Our building has a parking space right across the street (behind Mocatello, drive-try coffee shop) and the PRT Bus stops right up front of the old UP Train station (greyhound building, unfortunately the greyhound doesn't stop here anymore since years)

There are many STAIRS! yes, it's on the 3rd floor without an elevator. the bathroom is on the level where you enter the space, the main room/bed and studio are on top. Nightly bathroom visits will require you to go downstairs within your private space.
No access to the roof is permitted at this time.
Tempering with the security system of the building results in an immediate cancellation without a refund.

NEIGHBORHOOD: Although we’re located conveniently close to Idaho State University, you won’t need to worry about noise from college parties. Our neighborhood is peaceful, with the occasional sound of a firetruck or ambulance passing by.

Our little town is a great place for a getaway. Ride a tube down the Portneuf River as it winds through town, enjoy the swimming pools and the speed slides, soak in the natural hot springs, hike, bike, fish, golf, ride your ATV... whatever. We invite you to relax, recharge and rejuvenate here in our quiet little river valley.

We love to meet all of our guests and do a brief personal check-in service to familiarize you with the features of the home. The person who rented the home will need to be present with a valid credit card and Driver's License per our rental agreement and security deposit policy. This is in addition to the security deposit with Airbnb. Read the rental agreement prior to booking.

Or in the summer float the Portneuf River, a quick, rapid-filled stretch warms as you go as 2.5 million gallons of water pour into the river each day that can be floated once or twice per hour from June through mid-September.
The home is filled with charm and character, with many accents of the era that are still in the home. The house has been updated with a new energy star washer and dryer, dishwasher, range & hood, refrigerator, internet, tile shower and comes fully furnished with 1 queen bed, twin bunk beds and a couch with a pull-out queen size bed. If you are booking for a company, a work crew, or any commercial reason, we have some additional house rules that we’ve found to be mutually beneficial for your guests and our home.
We ask that for any stay of 10 days or more, that we conduct a weekly inspection and quick clean. This will be charged on an hourly basis, but have a minimum charge of $75 per week.

Your private entrance has a smart lock on the main house upstairs and you can park in the driveway off the street. There's no shared entrance with the apartment downstairs.

It’s important that you know that this property near Idaho State University is a duplex of sorts (like most homes in the area). Les who is a local student in graduate school lives downstairs. You will share the laundry which is in the basement, but please do not bother Les whose entrance door is downstairs in the basement. Les uses the side door of the house to access their apartment. You use the front door.

You do not share living space or cross paths in any way other than the sharedlaundryspace.

If the house is left with extra cleaning from pets and we have to incur additional cleaning charges or the bedding/linens needs to be replaced, we will be forwarding them to you at cost.

The space
Comfortable, cozy basement apartment with full kitchen that includes dishes and silverware, pots and pans, rice cooker, griddle, hand mixer, serving utensils and more.
The bathroom has a combined tub and shower and there is a good amount of counter space around the sink.
The bedroom features a queen size bed, a dresser as well as a closet for clothing storage.
The living room has a 50 inch smart tv. An AC unit in the window. The couch lays down into a full size bed. Can fit one adult comfortably, or two children.

We have a black dog that we added to the family earlier in 2024. His name is Tux.
He looks like a lab, but is actually half golden retriever and half blue heeler.
He shows more of the golden retriever characteristics. He is a sweet, energetic dog who loves most people, and is learning not to jump on people to show them his love😍.

Walk through the gate on the left side of the house. Walk under the deck. The white door is the Airbnb entrance.

You may be greeted by our dog Tux. He is a loving, energetic puppy that is still learning how not to jump on people to show his love…. he loves most people he comes in contact with.

The internet works good in the living room but not always in the kitchen, and usually does not work in the bedroom at all.

Ride your bike or drive a quarter mile down the road to City creek trail system for a delightful time in nature. The nearest grocery store is one mile away or check out a local favorite bar and restaurant just down the country road about a mile. Picnic table and two lounge chairs make it nice to relax outside the bunkhouse on a nice evening or sip your morning coffee in the sun. You will have to walk outside the bunkhouse to get to the bathroom. (Idaho can be chilly at any time of the year) Smart TV with access to Netflix. However, do know the internet can be slow in this area. This is my private guest house on my family’s one acre property located between my home and large shop. You will see us most likely :) I work from home and enjoy greeting the guests and answering any questions. Late arrival or last minute bookings are welcome :). I have teenagers off and on and my husband and I work in ourshop a lot. You could hear us working on our cars.

Pets welcome!
Up to 2 dogs. $15 per dog per stay. Extra $10 per night after 3 nights. 70 lbs limit. No fenced yard. Dog bed and dishes available in bunkhouse. I just ask that they don’t get on the bed. You can leave cash or I can send you a request through Airbnb. Please let me know if you plan to bring your pet.

The bunkhouse, outdoor bathroom and patio area with the picnic table is your space. I do ask that you stick to your area and not wonder around the property or into areas marked private.

Please text me through the app or on my cell phone. No emails. Do not come here for the wifi, it can be slow. Come for the peace and relaxation.
Black out curtains make it easy to sleep any time. Super cozy space but does have a lower ceiling. 6’2”Lots of plug ins. You have to walk outside to get to the bathroom. I recommend bringing slip on shoes. (Two warm cozy robes provided) The door locks automatically unless it is unlocked from the inside. Quiet country feel but in town! Quite time is 10 pm for everyone. The internet is hit or miss in this area.

I recommend looking at the weather before booking in the Spring and Fall due to having an outdoor shower/bathroom, especially if you are used to a warm climate. Idaho can be cold at any time of the year. (The hot water is lovely and even when chilly, I find it very lovely. )
