If you are coming between the months of November and March we strongly recommended 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive. We do plow the road the road but it is a steep and slick.

This penthouse is in the heart of Historic Downtown Pocatello. It has a fantastic view over the mountains, luxurious vintage feel, perfect for a couple traveling the area or a local who wants a night away from home.

The Fargo Apartments is a historic building from 1914. This penthouse had many uses, from a ballroom through the roaring 1920s, to the managers suite, pigeon hole, and is now modern loft. It`s newly renovated, keeping history at heart, yet with an answer to modern demands.

Our set up for a single person or couple, but can sleep a child on the futon, if need be. Extra bedding upon special request

The penthouse is on the 5th floor of a historic building in town, the only way to access is via our staircase, there is NO ELEVATOR. There`s a code to enter the building, as well as to enter the penthouse.

There is NO ROOF ACCESS for safety reasons. We have plans to build a deck and safety railing in the future.

There is a parking space adjacent to the building, and on both side streets can be parked as well (Withman and Bonneville) or on S Arthur (2 hour limit) and S Main St (no limit on this block)

We respect your privacy, check-in is completely hands off. We are available if needed and I (the host) live in town and can visit upon request.

We`re right at the heart of the beautiful historic Downtown Pocatello neighborhood, within 5-10 minutes several Micro Breweries, Local Restaurants, stores, bars and several smaller parks.

When walking the other direction within less than 10 minutes there is the Greenway next to the river and access to the City Creek trails.

Being right in the heart of downtown you can easily walk to the many restaurants and micro breweries or even hiking trails like city creek.

Beautiful home!!! Can sleep up to 6 (Floor Space if more) Only 25 miles from Lava Hot Springs and 5 miles from downtown Pocatello. Relax with the whole family here with plenty of space in a beautiful area. Outdoor patio with a beautiful view of the Idaho mountains. Bedroom has a queen size bed and a full size futon that can be used as a bed if needed. The living room has a bar area with a microwave, toaster and two mini fridges. There is a full size futon as well as a queen air mattress that can be used. Gorgeous fireplace under the TV. Can sleep 6 comfortably with the Queen bed, futon and air matress, but plenty of floor space as well.

Our tiny "Treehouse" is for someone (or couple) with a fun, youthful spirit, who is full of adventure and looking for a unique stay and experience, right at the heart of downtown Pocatello.

The "Treehouse" is a penthouse on the "North Building," a historic, renovated apartment building built in 1916 and offers an incredible 360 view over the valley and Historic Downtown Pocatello. Currently they are building a new park around our building, thereby giving direct access to all downtown events.

The "Treehouse" has a warm feel to it with bright colors, paintings of flowers and insects throughout (it will bring out your inner child!). It has all the necessities, in one cozy space.

Guests can use the building laundromat in the basement of the building. to access this use the back entrance basement entrance.

The roof does not have access (yet). The door is locked for safety reasons.

I don't live on the property but I do live in town, if there's any need I can be available. The check-in is fully hands-off and we respect the full privacy of our guests.

Historic Downtown Pocatello

Our building is surrounded by Lookout Point under construction (2022) for Downtown Pocatello which will host the Farmers Market, Revive at Five and many more events (starting spring 2023)

Our tiny treehouse is located on top of the North Building right at the heart of the Historic Downtown Pocatello. There are several micro breweries, restaurants and coffee shops and many stores in walking distance.

Our building has a parking space right across the street (behind Mocatello, drive-try coffee shop) and the PRT Bus stops right up front of the old UP Train station (greyhound building, unfortunately the greyhound doesn't stop here anymore since years)

There are many STAIRS! yes, it's on the 3rd floor without an elevator. the bathroom is on the level where you enter the space, the main room/bed and studio are on top. Nightly bathroom visits will require you to go downstairs within your private space.
No access to the roof is permitted at this time.
Tempering with the security system of the building results in an immediate cancellation without a refund.

A thing I was apprehensive about upon booking is I didn't see any blinds on the many windows and I thought I might feel on display. There are blinds, like the nice unobtrusive ones. The space felt like a fun vacation treat of a getaway, and historic downtown Pocatello is just outside. It's a really fun spot if you're feeling like poking around. Lots of neat local businesses to check out and lots of cool old buildings and more murals and art. I've never been to Pocatello, and this experience really sold me on the place. "

If you are coming between the months of November and March we strongly recommended 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive. We do plow the road the road but it is a steep and slick.

DISCLAIMER: This is a duplex home, and we live upstairs with our friendly puppy. The space you’ll be staying in is completely separate from our living area, offering you privacy throughout your stay. We deeply respect our guests and do our best to ensure that you won't be disturbed.

NEIGHBORHOOD: Although we’re located conveniently close to Idaho State University, you won’t need to worry about noise from college parties. Our neighborhood is peaceful, with the occasional sound of a firetruck or ambulance passing by.

Our travel-themed studio apartment is in the basement of our home but does have a completely separate and private entrance to come and go from. Where it is in our basement, there may be a little noise here and there from above, but our reviews should show this is never a problem. The kitchen and bathroom are stocked with your basic needs and if there is something else you may need were usually very close and can help! The living area that has queen sized bed and a twin sized pull-out couch if needed for a 3rd guest. There is also a washer and dryer available with basic supplies provided.
We are located in the upper university neighborhood which makes our place convenient to ISU events. We also are very close to the hospital for those looking to close proximity to that.

Just a few blocks from historic Main Street Pocatello, you have access to some of the BEST local restaurants and evening entertainment. We are also about 5 minutes from ISU. Stocked with comfortable, luxurious bedding and towels, you’re sure to have a great stay. This home was built in 1935, and has a unique feel. But with some updated mid century furniture, get ready for a unique local experience!
