Cozy, beautifully decorated queen bed studio. We are located 2 1/2 blocks from downtown Ketchum. The studio has a small under the counter refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. We are 1/2 a block from the bus stop to take you to the mountain or up to Sun Valley. You will love the fact that you don t have to drive anywhere. You can walk or take the free shuttle. The studio is located on the bottom floor of our three story townhouse. It is at the end of the street in a small quiet 10 unit complex.

- "Stayed here for a friends wedding. It was a great location-walking distance to town. Highly recommend!" - "We loved Val D Sol! We went to Ketchum for the Oktoberfest and this was literally 50 steps to the Festival Meadows were it was held! We also walked to the downtown area each day and night and it was maybe a 7 min walk down a little trail and sidewalks. Everything is close by. Bars, restaurants, groceries, and shops! The condo was great as well! Smaller kitchen but had everything we needed. The upstairs bedroom definitely did not feel like a queen but it wasn't the end of the world. We had 7 people staying and I thought it was going to be cramped and it wasn't AT ALL! When we first got there I had to wipe some food off the kitchen sink and wall (i think it was a total accident and was just missed) because the rest of the place was spotless and super clean! Last but not least there are two balconies that are great to sit on and drink your morning coffee!! Will be back for sure!"

The space
Walking in the front door, you are immediately struck by the expansive views of the valley. Our home underwent extensive renovations in 2019 and the open plan living area features vaulted ceilings which provides a pleasant space to gather and visit. The wood burning fireplace, with a gas starter, is easy to use and provides a beautiful atmosphere. The kitchen is a joy to cook in and has all of the necessary cookware and new appliances. The living room opens up onto an expansive patio with a comfortable couch and gas fire pit. During the spring season, a charming creek flows beneath the house, adding to its allure.

The house also affords many spaces to retreat to, including a large soundproof studio featuring a grand piano, usable as an extra bedroom, yoga studio, or movie theater. The master suite has wonderful views of the mountains, a walk in closet and a spacious bathroom. The two other bedrooms share a kitchenette and large bathroom equipped with a walk-in steam shower. One of the bedrooms opens up onto a elevated deck with a couch and a second gas fire pit. The property also has a large, slate in-ground hot tub and several sculpture grottoes.

We have hosted many special occasions here, including our own wedding rehearsal dinner and house concerts. The outdoor space is ideal for a summer event and the inside also provides plenty of space for an elaborate dinner party. All parties and events must be pre-approved and will require an additional fee.

My home and Airbnb space is located in a quiet area of Ketchum close to town but away from the busyness. Windows on all four sides offer the feeling of being in the trees with views of the mountains. The sound of the Big Wood river lulls you into dreamland on a summer night with the windows wide open letting in the cool mountain air. There is NOT an air conditioning system. In the mountains we rely on the cool night air.

Welcome to my Sun Valley guest space. The room’s airy tree house feeling with windows on all four sides is approached by a separate stairway once you enter the house. Designed by the owner to be sensitive to the environment, the house is passive solar with radiant heat in the floors, non-toxic finishes and paints. All the electricity is supplied by photovoltaic solar panels. . A wonderful space for doing yoga. A yoga mat and videos are provided in the room. Bicycles and ski gear can be stored in garage

Accommodations - Bedroom, sitting room in one private space over the garage and approached by a separate stairway after entering the house. Queen bed and full size sleeper sofa. Bathroom with tiled shower. Kitchen/food prep area includes: Convection toaster oven, plug-in tea pot, coffee maker, fridge, one burner hot plate, pots and pans, dishes, glasses, utensils, napkins, sponge, dishcloth and dish soap. I ask guests to bring their dishes down to my kitchen where I will wash them as there is not a kitchen sink in the guest space. Strong Wifi. I prefer to turn the Wifi off between 9:30 and 10pm and back on at 7am. However if the guest would like it left on I am happy to. DVD player, flat screen tv, cafe table and chairs, iron and ironing board available. Clothes washer available.


The house is ideally located in a quiet, tree-filled neighborhood near the Big Wood River, at the base of Bald Mountain and minutes from hiking and biking trails. The free bus service to the ski mountain is a 200 yard walk and downtown Ketchum is ¼ mile away. A public trail to the river is just behind the house and bike paths, groomed Nordic ski trails and the YMCA are within a five-minute walk. Dogs are welcome with a $10 / night fee. I do not allow cats.

Bath has full shower/tub and is tiled.

Tiled kitchen is complete with wonderful gas stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher and large refrigerator/ freezer. All supplies are new, from silverware to crockpot! We think we have everything you could need..... Bar area with 2 stools. Round dining table seats 4 comfortably. Gas grill on patio deck.

Living room has couch and loveseat. 42" Flatscreen TV with DVD player. Cable and WIFI service. Everything is new! Gas fireplace to relax in front of. Sliding door to porch, with balcony. Nice view of Knob Hill.

Laundry has stack unit washer/dryer and room to store gear.

We absolutely LOVE the location! We walk with our daughters everywhere! 2 bus stops for heading to mtn are on the same block. The YMCA is 2 blocks behind and is amazing! IF you are a Y member, bring your card! If not, they do sell daily passes. The climbing wall and bouldering area is wonderful! Free Ice skating with skates and hockey sticks available (winter) about 3 blocks away at Hemmingway Elementary school, bmx dirt park, skateboard and tennis courts in the summer.. Fun way to meet locals or participate in a pick up game of hockey or tennis! Bike path a block away and Big Wood River 2 blocks for some in town casting.

Out one end of the building is the famous "Grumpys-Bar & Grill" Wandering around, we found it is close proximity to many restaurants, equipment rental and shopping. 5 minute stroll to Starbucks in the morning and about the same to Giacobbi Square (kids like to get breakfast goodies there). Easy walk to many restaurants, shops & galleries...too numerous to mention!

Welcome to The Red Barn located conveniently between downtown Ketchum and Warm Springs. Warm and fun. A one of kind place. Cozy wood board-and-batten walls, comfortable chairs and built-ins. Chefs kitchen. Gracious areas for dining and relaxing. Air-Conditioning was added in April of 2021

The space
The Red Barn has a very fun and warm common space for dining, cooking and relaxing. It is well stocked with dishes, silverware and everthing needed to make a wonderful meal. The master bedroom has walk-in closet, ensuite bath and sliding door access to the back yard and ski room. The upstairs sleeping room has four twin beds and a built in couch that can be used for over flow sleeping. Kids LOVE it up their. Upstairs also has a full bath and washing facilities.

Guest access
Guests have the whole unit to themselves and two well-marked parking spaces. Skiis can be kept in the garage or the ski room.

Other things to note
The Red Barn is right on the bus line. During ski season, the buses come every 20 min and it is only a five minute ride to the ski lifts or town.

We are also very close to the YMCA which is very nice and has great fitness facilities.

In the summer, I'll you about the best swimming hole in town which is a short walk from the Red Barn or how to drive up to the hot springs.

The unit now has A/C. A/C was added in the summer of 2021.

The Red Barn is not an appropriate place to hold loud or late night parties. If that is part of your plan, there are other places that will accommodate you.

This top-floor, two-story unit is perfectly located for all of your year-round activities. Right outside the front door is the path to the base of Sun Valley's River Run lifts. The path is maintained in the winter for Nordic skiing and in the summer used for biking, walking, jogging, or easy access to town (about a 5-minute walk).

Other things to note
There is no AC. You’ll find that most of the homes in Sun Valley do not. This is because the temperature drops drastically at night so all that’s needed to cool the place off is to open the windows and blow the cool air in at night and then close them in the morning before the temperature starts rising again. There are Fans in the condo.
