Four large bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen — and an absolutely enormous loft-like open space not to mention 15 foot ceilings, make for an experience unlike any other in Big Sky country. A raised area all along the south windows would be the instant focus for entertaining and also an endless source of inspiration as a sitting room or even a home office.
The space
Originally built to house the “manual arts” department at Butte High School, the building lost its purpose when the high school moved in 1938. (The main old high school building burned to the ground in 1946.) During World War II the Manual Arts Building served as a military induction center, and later would house the Butte Business College. Then, for years, the nearby Masonic Temple used it for its youth programs, DeMolay and Rainbow Girls.

Because of the building’s original construction as a school facility, the stairways are immense, more than eight feet wide. Everywhere, the light streams in — more and more as you go to the upper floors. Pets are welcome, but we do charge an extra $50 cleaning fee to make sure the space is usable for guests that might have pet allergies.

Please note the loft is on the 4th floor of this building and requires some significant climbing up the large sets of stairs. If you or anyone in your party are not comfortable with this set up, our place might not be the best for you. Access into the building is a set code that will be given out the day of your arrival. This is the CUTEST studio apartment in the heart of uptown Butte. Brand new queens bed, couch, kitchenette, small table, and beautiful bathroom. Very nice linens provided. Kitchenette has dishes, grittle, pressure cooker, microwave, Keurig, toaster and silverware. Think of the space as an extended stay hotel, but nicer. There is no laundry on site, and the access is 12 stairs. Unfortunately it is not handicapped accessible. It has a beautiful walk-in tile shower. It is close to nightlife, restaurants, and coffee. This apartment is downstairs from a functioning medical practice which opens at about 8am during the week. This can make for some noise starting early morning during the week.

A plastic sheet covered the outside of the bedroom window so the only light came from the living area window. We did not have hot water the first morning. People above us must have used all of it. The hot tub sits in front of the unit, but wasn't an issue as no one used it. "

My place is a nice private space and awesome view. It is a day lighted basement (ground level) apartment of a large Victorian house. 1 bedroom queen bed w/memory foam mattress for a comfortable sleep. Living room has a sofa that converts to a queen size bed. Also has a memory foam topper for added comfort. TV w/fire stick. Fenced in yard shared with upper floor house guests. Tile shower and laundry room. Please note lower ceilings (7’)

Guests will have a newly renovated private apartment with full kitchen including pots & pans, dishes, silverware, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, coffee and tea. Other things to note
Because this is a daylighted basement it has lower ceilings (7'). Taller individuals may not be as comfortable.
The bathtub is a small clawfoot tub with handheld shower in the sitting position. Just added a shower/laundry room!
In the winter, because this home is located high on the hill, front wheel drive or all wheel drive is best.

This is a 1900’s three story Brock Building on a fairly quiet one-way street that is the Main Street, walking distance to everything.Anaconda is small and has experienced an uptick in tourists which is always fun. The entrance is on the quiet back alley side. On street parking and a parking lot available. Laundry one black away. Entrance to buildings have a key code. One other functioning unit on this main floor apartment. Fenced private back years next store. No dish washer and tv is not smart. We ask that shoes off at the entrance and slippers inside. No smoking no pets on the first floor.

The building was built in 1898. The bathroom has been updated with new tile, a full sized tub and shower.

We welcome dogs. We allow up to two dogs and charge a $25 fee per animal. Take care to include your dog in the reservation request. Please, no dogs on furniture or bed. There is an extra dog water and food bowl in the kitchen and extra doggie poop bags. There is no outdoor space or fenced yard. Sorry but NO CATS, there will be a $300 fine if a cat is in the apartment.

This is a hundred year old 3-story brick building that is getting renovated. The hallway is not fancy, rooms are clean and cozy on this is main floor apartment. There is a total of 4 finished rentable apartments; so a very quiet building as construction is happening on the third floor with our own crew of 2-3 guys that are like family.
I love this apartment and location because it is in a mountain town and has that quiet cabin feel. A warm gas heater is in the kitchen. walking distance to great restaurants, 15 minutes for those working at the state hospital.
This property is best for people who are down to earth and like to experience a century old floor plan with a slightly newer kitchen. Anaconda is small and has experienced an uptick in tourists which is always fun. The entrance to this apartment is on the quiet back-alley-side where guests can off load luggage or groceries then go to on-street parking or a parking lot across from the alley.
Laundry is one block away. Entrance’s to this building has exterior door locks, with number pads to enter. One occupied unit across the hall keeps this floor quiet. From the window you’ll see a nicely fenced back yards and other historical buildings. No dish washer and the tv is not smart. We ask that shoes come off at the entrance because the alley maybe snowy or muddy depending on the season. Slippers are highly recommended for comfort and cleanliness inside the hall and apartment. Also note that we only have occasional cleaning in hall and so removing and storing shoes by the exterior door helps our elderly cleaning and maintenance couple and helps you have a cleaner experience. We Thank You for exhibiting clean habits that create pride in our community. No smoking no pets on the first floor.
Please remove smelly trash often to the trash bin a few steps away in the alley.

Please no excessive toilet paper in the toilets. This keeps the old plumbing running perfectly. Please help out planet stay green by turning off lights and fans and turning down heaters when you are not home. This also helps us have more to put back into making this rescued building more beautiful each year.
Other than that, there is not much to think and worry about except which awesome restaurant/bar you will try next, what hike you’ll go on or what small tourist town you can discover near by like Phillips Burg 😃🌷☀️💕 or just hang at the hot springs or the Clark Fork River where you can relax and fish in this virtually insect free climate!🙏🏽🙂☀️and dream of when Lewis and Clark where making friends with the local Shoshone Tribe in 1805.

If you want to leave at 3am on your last day, no problem. The front door is near-handicapped accessible, with a slight step up from the sidewalk into the single floor apartment. There is easy parking everywhere you go in Butte, but from Galena Street you can walk almost anywhere you want to go. Also, the kitchen is *stocked* — that is, it has everything you need to cook, in terms of pots and pans and utensils, as well as oil, spices, and (depending on when you come and who has left what) tons of canned goods, pasta, condiments, frozen stuff, etc. etc. Check the cabinet under the Kuerig!

Other things to note
The apartment has a powerful heater on the front wall in the living room, easy to turn on and set to desired temperature. The kitchen and bathroom each have electric baseboard (please turn off when you check out). We're coffee fanatics, so there's a Keurig machine and pods, french press, hand-pour filter, and regular drip (as well as lots of tea, cream and sugar). Various spices, cooking oil, pots, pans and utensils are ready for home-cooked meals. If you need extra sheets or towels, they'll be in the closet or in the dryer.

This unique slice of history has a style all its own. The historical Socialist Hall Building just finished one of the most expensive renovations in Butte and opened in July of 2024. The building built in 1916 and listed on the National Historical Register shows the toughness of Butte with the outside architectural décor and the inside brings modern design to the rustic history of the outside.

The space
This unit has two bedrooms and a full queen pull out couch. Beautiful 16' ceilings, a full kitchen and dining. One full bathroom, washer and dryer and 3 televisions. The building just completed one of the most expensive remodels per square foot in Butte/Silver Bow County. The units require stairs and there is no elevator in this Historical building.

This is a beautiful loft with spectacular views of the mountains and is overlooking the Jefferson River. Plenty of parking space for those with trailers or large vehicles.
