We have private, quiet lodging on our 34 acre estate away from the main house. Open space all around. No highway noise out here. The vacation rental is a chalet style second story lodging on top of a large garage not used during the rental months and it has your own private entrance, driveway, and a private yard with a picnic table in the trees.
There is also a covered carport, plenty of parking and a pull through if you have a boat or trailer. There are 2 bedrooms, both with handmade log beds, comfortable bedding, and quilts. The bedroom windows do overlook the owner's property behind the rental.
There is a1 bathroom with a tub shower combination with plenty of large soft towels. There is a washer and dryer for your cleaning needs. There is wood flooring throughout, with throw rugs to give you that feel of rustic lodging in the mountains and granite counter tops in the bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen has the utensils you need to enjoy cooking. A breakfast bar or a table that seats six will make anywhere you eat enjoyable. Or if you prefer to eat outdoors, there is a BBQ and a table with seating on the balcony deck in the trees so you can sit, eat, drink, and enjoy your meals viewing the great rocky mountain range. The living room has a new queen sofa sleeper and love seat that is grouped around an entertainment center for relaxing after a day of exploring Glacier Park, Flathead Lake or one of the many other beautiful areas to visit. We have high speed wireless internet and a large flat screen satellite TV. We also have hiking on the estate or nearby. Jewel Basin is only 7 miles to the trail head , Strawberry lake is 4 miles to the trail head, and 5 miles to the Peters Ridge trail head.
If you feel like a lazy day by Krause Creek , which flows through our meadows below the mountain range, you can have a picnic with your own picnic table with breathtaking views of the Swan range. There is also huckleberry picking in the area and your hosts can give you a few directions so you can have the experience of picking your own berries. Located halfway between Bigfork and Kalispell, against the Rockies. Flathead lake is 10 miles south, and Glacier park 30 Miles north. Fun in every direction.

Beautiful private large deck and grill and a fire pit on the property. It is a very nicely done finished basement. Very warm and comfortable in the winter and very nice and cool in the summer. The property has been described by many as looking like a park! Lots of trees and wildlife even though I'm so close to town. And having my horse Jasper on the property is just icing on the cake!! Pets are welcome! ($10 per pet per night) For some reason I'm getting feedback that somewhere on my site it says only one dog...that is not true. It is $10 PER PET/PER NIGHT SO MORE THAN ONE PET IS FINE. ANY SIZE OF DOG IS ALSO FINE. No childen under 16 allowed.

Our place is a traditional cottage style home tucked into a rural wooded area near Glacier National Park and the Whitefish Ski Resort. Whitefish Mountain Resort has different seasonal activities from skiing to mountain biking to the alpine slide. You can book a white water rafting excursion through Glacier Raft Company. Another option is to visit the zip lines at the House of Mystery. Head up to the North Fork and find many hiking and biking activities along with visiting the Polebridge Mercantile. Although the time of year can determine what is available, we can promise you'll be able to find something to fit your adventuring needs!

A fully stocked bathroom (with a tub!) has almost everything you will need during your stay, including body wash, shampoo, and conditioner (if you need kid-friendly soap please let us know and we can provide that for you as well)

A vintage kitchen with all the modern amenities await - including dining ware for adults and kids alike, pots & pans, baking dishes, mixing bowls - and more! A microwave, coffee pot (including fresh ground coffee and many of the fixins), tea, hot chocolate, & a tea kettle are available. A full house water filter also ensures the best tasting water right from the faucet.

The open concept living space includes a couch that folds out to make a comfy bed (IKEA knows what they are doing with this one!), as well as any extra blankets you may need. The dining table has 4 chairs and we have a high chair for any little ones joining you.

Note: The apartment is part of the house (though separated). As such, you will be able to hear some noise from the family going about our day and the occasional barking dog. We have provided a sound machine and ear plugs, in case you want to drown out additional noise.

You have access to anything in the guest suite, which includes a oven, stove, and refrigerator.

We are happy to share the front yard with you and have a solo stove if you would like to use it for a front yard fire pit.

Other things to note
If you are not a dog person, you can easily avoid seeing the pups as they will be in the main house or the backyard.
The dogs are very friendly but they do like to bark at newcomers - they are harmless and love belly rubs and fetch if you happen to come across them.

Also, this house is old (built in 1902!) and historic -- which means it has its quirks (and charms). The floors can creak, the bathroom has a window not a fan, and the tub (very deep: amazing for soaking!) has some noticeable cosmetic wear n' tear.
Additionally, as mentioned above, the apartment is part of the original house long ago converted to an apartment - so you will be able to hear the family (though the kids are asleep early).

No kitchen, Small but impeccably clean room with spacious bathroom. Suitable for 1 or 2 adults and a child. Fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, skillet, dishes, coffee pot, Wi-Fi, BBQ, outdoor atmosphere lighting, outdoor fire place, and private entrance. 8 mins from Flathead Lake, 35 mins from Glacier National Park. 1 block from City park. Grocery stores & restaurants and beautiful downtown Kalispell are only blocks away.

The space
Impeccably clean. Small (11’x11’ plus bathroom) Typically sleeps 1 or 2, or can add a cot for an extra guest or child. 2 adjustable twin beds or they can be pushed together to make an adjustable King bed for a couple (w/split king sheets) A third guest will make it tight, but I’m flexible if you are. High quality cotton sheets for comfort. If you forget anything such as toothbrush/paste or are in need of reading glasses, feminine hygiene items, pain relievers, nail clippers, hair brush, or writing paper, etc. that is also available. If you need a fan for noise or cooling we have that too. Refrigerator has complementary beverages and bottled water, condiments, eggs and creamer as well. Teas, coffee and complementary snacks. Nice City park and public pool is a block away. We are social, but will give you as much privacy as you'd like. Our goal is to make your stay as enjoyable as possible while you are visiting "The Last Best Place”.

If you are a fisherman or golfer we could probably round up supplies.

I have BEAR spray to borrow. Hopefully you don’t need it. But this is Montana!

Park outside the gate, on the “Tahoe Street side of the property along side the fence. You will see 2 white lines in the gravel showing where to park. The GPS will tell you “you are here” but it’s in the back. There is a man gate by the flowers on the fence. Follow the stone walkway to the red door studio. Please stay in area of studio and don’t wander the property. Don’t go beyond Outdoor draped areas. I often have projects going on and I maybe have things out that can cause injury or might be messy. Sorry

Q: Can we check-in early or check-out late?
A: Early check-in is not guaranteed. In the event your room is ready before 4:00pm, we'll let you know. We do not offer late check-out as our team needs time to prepare for our next guests and make sure everything is perfect for them - just like they did for you.

Q: Do you allow pets?
A: Yes! Up to (1) house-trained, small to medium-sized dog (50 pounds or less) is permitted for a pet fee of $75 per stay. Please ensure to add your dog to your reservation. If an unapproved pet is discovered, a fee of $100 will be billed to your account. No cats allowed.

Q: What size is the fold out couch?
A: The couch folds out into a (firm, but comfortable) queen-sized bed. We provide extra sheets, a blanket and two pillows for the couch. They're located in the master closet.

Q: Do you allow smoking on-site?
A: No. Our entire property is a non-smoking property. This includes, but is not limited to, cigarettes, vapes, marijuana, etc. This is for the courtesy of all of our guests. If you need to smoke, please take it off-site, away from our property. A fee of $250 will be billed to your account if smoking of any kind occurs.

Q: Where is this room located?
A: This room is located on the second level. This requires walking up one set of stairs and there is no elevator access.

Q: Do you offer cleanings during our stay?
A: Our cleanings occur before and after each reservation. We're happy to offer an additional cleaning during your stay for a fee of $80. Just let us know!

Guest access
You'll enjoy the exclusive comfort of our one-bedroom suite, which is one of eight units at our hotel. All of the units are accessed individually from the exterior of the building and each suite is insulated well so you'll appreciate a private experience.
