Our cozy little studio suite is separate from the main house- you'll have your own space and your own entrance and personal private patio in the garden to enjoy. Our yard is lined with privacy shrubs and we have two huge trees, a Japanese Maple and a Black Walnut that are over 100 years old, and on even the hottest days the shade they provide keep our yard much fresher and cooler than anywhere else. There is also a hammock in the shade for your enjoyment, as well as a trampoline :)
The studio has lofted ceilings which adds to the bright and airy feel of the space. We are an easy, flat 15 min walk from all the bars and restaurants and there is a shopping centre 2 min away with a Safeway, Starbucks, and Liquor Store. Beyond that are paths that will take you right down to the water. This location in the heart of the city cannot be beat! You are welcome to borrow our bicycles to get around if you'd like. We also have a couple of cheap plastic kayaks that you're welcome to bring down to the water. Lakeside park is just down the street!
I am a Vancouver expat who has lived here since 2004, although I spent my summers here as a child so I feel comfortable saying I am a local. I work as an ER nurse and manage first aid for many local festivals, so I have my finger on the pulse of what's fun to do around here, especially during the summer! My partner is a local carpenter and we live on the other side of the house so we are here and available for anything you need. We live here with my teenaged daughter and our 2 dogs and 2 cats- we are animal lovers and welcome guests with well-behaved fur babies. ❤️

Right on the lake this lovely 2 bedroom recently renovated suite is less than a 10 minute walk from the beach. A short bike ride in to town, through beautiful lakeside park. A flat journey along the water which is rare for Nelson! Mountain biking trails are just a short ride away and the world class Wh2O ski resort is a 20min drive away. There is no private beach access but the public beach is just a short walk away. Perfect for accessing the water!
There is space for one vehicle on the drive and ample free parking directly opposite the property.
Two young boys live upstairs so please expect some noise and footsteps.

Find peace, comfort and convenience in this bright, fresh, lovely main floor space in one of Nelson's beautiful heritage homes. This location is perfect because it is near all the town offers with mostly level walking options to everywhere. Walk 3 blocks to the beach, the mall, the waterfront pathway and Lakeside Rotary Park.. Walk 5 minutes to the lake where you can take a lakeside stroll or rent a kayak for the day or the hour. Do this either before or after you enjoy Wait’s On Nelson which is an excellent breakfast and lunch diner only one block away. Resolution Place Guesthouse is removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown, yet downtown is still only a pleasant stroll away where you will find a myriad of superb dining and nightlife options. Enjoy relaxing on your quiet private patio when you are not out participating in the outstanding beauty of the area and the many local activities available right at hand. In addition, you will have private off-street parking, a private entrance and, of course, your own private bathroom. Like a luxury hotel room, included for your convenience are a microwave, Keurig coffee maker, kettle and fridge, but there is no full kitchen. I personally would be thrilled if I found this VRBO rental in any town, let alone in the coolest small art town in British Columbia! This lovely and super clean space is in the perfect location from which to enjoy everything the area has to offer the next time you visit!

A sparkling new addition to midtown completed in January 2025! This newly constructed, self-contained 500 square foot bachelor studio located a mere block from downtown! The grocery store, bakery/coffee shops, brewery, restaurants, gym, retail shops, and the FREE ski shuttle bus are all at your doorstep! Full kitchen, bathroom, laundry, A/C, high-speed wifi, large flat-screen TV, king-sized bed plus queen-sized pullout, BBQ, secure bike & ski storage, and a firepit for you to enjoy!
We are located in the IDEAL walkable, central location a mere block from downtown (no need to drive anywhere). Our local shops, restaurants, grocery store, bakeries/cafes, gym (also climbing gym), skate park, live music are all right at your doorstep! Not to mention direct access to the amazing trail networks and we're on the free ski shuttle bus route too! The Flying Steamshovel Gastropub is basically across the street, and the Rossland Beer Company (local craft brewery) is just down the street, for example. The fabulous Ferraro's grocery store is just a block away. These are just a few of the excellent quick-access amenities.
We are in a super central location, on the free ski shuttle bus route, easily walkable to everything! We are directly on the main bicycle path to the trailhead as well. One accessible (flat) off-street signed parking spot, in addition to free street-parking available. Public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are available just down the street, about 75 meters away in an off-street parking lot.
Bears do wander through our property every now and again, particularly in spring and fall in the late evening, early morning or overnight hours. They are normally just passing through, so just be calm, give them a wide berth, let them go on their way, and they will normally do so. Also keep your food waste and scraps bagged and do not place that anywhere outside of the apartment. If you are staying more than a few continuous days with us, ask us how best to handle your food waste, and we'll inform you and often lend a hand. It is also recommended to keep food scent out of your vehicle and lock your doors. Our local bears are smart and have learned to open car doors!

Well-insulated interior space that is cozy and warm in the winter, and cool and comfortable in the summer. Two public electric vehicle charging stations are located mere 75 meters down the street.

Immediate access to all the amenities of town right at your doorstep! No need to drive to the grocery store, pubs, restaurants, bakeries, coffee shop, pharmacy etc. We are located right on the bike path to the main trailhead for walking, hiking and biking, and a block away from the ski shuttle! There is one fairly large off-street parking spot available for your convenience. Free street parking is also immediately available, and EV charging stations are a mere 75 meters down the street.
Other things to note
Just to let you know, bears do wander through our property every now and again, particularly in spring and fall in the late evening, early morning, or overnight hours. They are normally just passing through, so just be calm, give them a wide berth and let them go on their way, and they will normally do so. Also keep your food waste and scraps bagged and do not place that anywhere outside of the unit. If you are staying more than a few continuous days with us, ask us how best to handle your food waste, and we'll inform you and often lend a hand. It is also recommended to keep food scent out of your vehicles and lock your doors. Unlike the city, this warning is not at all because of any threat of theft from humans in Rossland...rather it is because our local bears are smart and have learned to open vehicle doors!

A private suite set in the lovely gardens of one of Nelson's classic heritage homes. The suite's own deck is nestled against the 1899 stone walls and looks onto the quiet gardens: beautiful indoor spaces and beautiful outdoor spaces: a haven in the heart of the town.

The space
The suite's interior is an open concept; the entry and kitchen, the living and dining rooms flow through to the bedroom. The interiors and furnishings are quite new. The main bed is queen-size and the living-room sofa folds out to a full-size. The windows and doors are set into deep reveals in the old stone walls. Heating and cooling is provided by a heat pump and the bathroom has a heated floor.
The kitchen space is equipped with a range/stove, a refrigerator, an espresso machine, a toaster, microwave and a dishwasher.

Parking is located at the back of the house which is accessed through the alley between Hoover and Observatory. In the winter, 4x4 or AWD is highly recommended. Accessing the parking spot is best done heading up the alley from Kootenay rather then heading down the alley from Stanley. Photos are included in the check in instructions that guides this process
Other things to note
- If you have a toddler or infant we do have a Thule chariot (double) that can be used for cross country skiing, cycling, or strolling.
- the space is very bright with tons of natural lighting. If you need dark spaces for sleep we recommend bringing a sleep mask. (They are a total game changer and my wife and I are dependent on them and sleep with them every night wherever we go)
- the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make a great meal. We have found in places that we have stayed that we would have liked more cooking supplies and so for our space we have decided to provide a fully stocked kitchen as far as pots/pans/baking trays/ cooking utensils/ as well as an array of spices.
- Epiphany bakery is our neighbour, so you don’t have to travel far to get some delicious local coffee and freshly baked treats.

There is a handmade western red cedar bench where you can take your shoes off and a coat rack to hang your jackets.
The living room features a custom spruce coffee table, two mid-century modern restored side tables, a new sofa couch that transforms into a second bed, a modern art print from Barcelona, and a bright handmade kilim rug from Pakistan. There is a 40" wall mounted TV, with Netflix loaded and ready for some relaxation after a long day. There is also a small blue tooth speaker for your listening enjoyment. In the closet, there are two hotel luggage racks to keep your suitcases off the floor and easy to access.
The open living space transitions seamlessly into the full kitchen, where you will find a well-appointed cooking and eating space with full pots and pans, eatery and utensils, new Japanese knives, charging cables, a full size refrigerator, stove top and oven, and dishwasher. The sizable island is complete with two handmade cherry and maple highback stools.
The bedroom features a new high-end Dreamcloud king size mattress and pillows, bedside tables with touch adjustability and charging ports, and sheepskin rugs so your feet are cozy when they hit the floor.

As the Silverking/Purcell Suite is located on the bottom floor, beneath a dental office, you may experience some noise during office hours (Monday-Thursday, 8 am-4 pm). The office is closed on weekends and holidays.
The noise level can vary, but you may hear occasional foot traffic.
If you prefer a quieter space, consider booking the Kokanee Suite (with a view) or the Valhalla Suite, both located on the upper floor.

Forget your worries in this bright and spacious serene space. After the day’s adventures, whether inside or out, relax and unwind in the peaceful surroundings without feeling you’re in the city. Just a few minutes drive (or 20 min walk downhill) to Historic Downtown, walking distance to Rails to Trails, epic mountain biking and cross country ski trails, and just a 25 min drive to Whitewater Ski Resort, you will be able to enjoy all that Nelson and area has to offer from here.
The space
***NEW*** We now have a secure space in our garage for ski/snowboard and bike storage during your stay!! You will be able to charge up your e-bikes as well as dry your ski boots/gloves with the boot/glove dryers provided. We will give you a code at check-in to access the space.
Everything brand new! The suite has undergone a total renovation. You will love the open concept design with the modern, fully equipped kitchen. The dining area opens out to the covered patio with your own BBQ, dining area with table & chairs, and a relaxing area with your own patio furniture. The living room has a 55 inch ROKU Smart TV with cable service. Both bedrooms are equipped with queen beds, dressers and ROKU Smart TVs (no cable provided in bedrooms). The bathroom has a tub/shower combination and a lighted mirror. The suite also has a separate laundry room with washer & dryer. It is located in the lower level of the house and is a very bright walk-out suite with ample windows and 9 ft ceilings. The private newly landscaped back yard is all yours to enjoy. The owners, a retired couple, live in the two upper floors above the suite. The private suite has full separation from the rest of the house. When the house was built, proper sound barrier was used between the floors so it is very quiet. We have radiant in-floor heating set in concrete on each floor that gives it even more sound protection.

You will have full and exclusive access to the suite and the beautiful, newly landscaped back yard is yours to enjoy. We have off-street parking for 2 vehicles. Additional parking on the street. Access to the suite includes stairs down the side of the house to the back.
