We have put a lot of thought and care into this space to make it a special get-away for you! Our new granite-and-tile kitchen has a deep sink, fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and a single burner for you to use, as well as basics like pots and pans, oil, butter, spices and salt and pepper. We have also included a new Keurig coffee maker and our favorite teas/hot cocoa for you to enjoy (as well as cream and sugar).

The sleeping area is well stocked with new bedding and furniture! In the picture you can see the king bed and full sized pull-out sofa bed (these two sleep 4 total). Just down the hall there is another bedroom with a twin-over-full bunk bed. In addition, we have a twin sized pull out mattress for the floor and a Pack n Play for a baby or toddler. We are also happy to provide sheets, blankets and a pillow for the couch. This means we can sleep 8 adults and 1 baby/toddler. However, as the description says, it’s best suited for older kids…there is not an easy grade into the water, or a place for little ones to play; it’s just a ladder down into the deep(ish) water. Great for teens and older to cool down in though! I loved how convenient this place was in terms of location too. We enjoyed our home base being in the country, but we frequented parks in Spokane too. For kids, there is a water park and playground 5 min away, and a wildcat zoo 5 min away as well. Also, the house was super clean, and the hosts went above and beyond to help accommodate a need. We had a great time!"

1. You’re living like a local, be respectful of the other locals.

2. All of our Rental Units are smoke-free environments. Including the entire Rental property.

3. Pets are NOT allowed in this Rental Unit for any reason. Bringing an unauthorized pet will result in the immediate termination of your reservation without a refund.

4. Your trip details should already be complete. If they aren’t, just go ahead and message us!

5. Your friend, your responsibility. Pretty simple: if you invite them to your Rental Unit, you’re responsible for their actions.

6. There are occupancy limits Roav Stays must follow for each of our buildings. Help us follow the rules.

- "Small but fully functional. Excellent & kind hosts. Great location, walkable & on the #45 bus route. Gourmet pizza place next door, and across the street is sports bar/pub (great burgers), a cafe, and a microbrewery. A few other miscellaneous shops in the village too. Lots of booze & snacks at the Hico Gas Station next door, but groceries & fresh food needs a trip of a mile or more either up the hill (South) to Safeways & Trader Joes etc on the bus route, or same distance on the flat & across the ravine (north) to Fred Meyers near I90. The hosts were extremely welcoming, responsive, accommodating & kind. They kept the place clean, tidy, peaceful, and functional, and really stayed on top of leaves & snow clean up. We would definitely return to stay again. The leafy street & squirrels are lovely."

Originally built in 1948 by my father, this barn shaped building was the Valley's only plumbing co. Later converted to apartments on the family Place, it still has a secluded and country feel even though it is on the bus line and near all the amenities. The most recent remodel was in 2004 and has the comforts of home surrounded by plants and fruit trees, and friendly neighbors.

This ground floor apartment has a single step at the front door and no stairs inside. Enjoy 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms and a full sized laundry room. The main living area is in the "great room" style making sure the cook is always in on all the fun. Dine indoors or on the patio looking out over the center lawn with the birds and squirrels providing the entertainment.

Bedrooms are equipped with Fire TV on large screen sets, firm beds, and room darkening curtains.

Quiet Hours: Quiet hours begin at 10 p.m. Please be considerate of guests downstairs and refrain from running up and down the stairs.

No Shoes Policy: Shoes are not permitted in the apartment.

Make-up Policy: Please use grey washcloths for make-up. White towels are not to be used for make-up, as they can be damaged.

Guest Count: I will include the total number of guests in my reservation. If the number of guests changes after booking, I will inform Anna before my arrival. The nightly rate covers the first two guests. Additional guests not disclosed will incur a charge of $50 per guest, per night.

Furniture: Do not remove or rearrange any furniture. Do not unplug the modem.

Front Door Lights: Please do not turn off the light at the front door.

Laundry Guidelines: Do not wash comforters or duvet covers. For stays longer than seven days, please wash sheets weekly and keep white items separate from other laundry.

Identification: I may request a picture ID for all guests over 18 years old and the license plate numbers for all vehicles on the property.

Cancellation Rights: I reserve the right to cancel the reservation of any guests with whom I do not feel comfortable, with no refund provided. Guests who do not communicate will not receive the door code until they do.

Someone broke into the auto of one of the guests and took all of her kid’s dorm stuff. That has nothing to do with the property though. It was move-in weekend at Gonzaga and the thieves were on the look out. Make sure you take everything in with you as stated in the instructions and you should be fine."

Welcome to our lair!

This basement apartment in a historic home features plenty of room and is centrally located within the Spokane area. While a bit modest, it should have everything you need for a quality stay - a full kitchen, a master bathroom suite, a comfy home theater, access to sunny patio space, and a shared laundry. A family of 4 (1 & 7 year old) live upstairs and you will hear footsteps and the like. But things settle down overnight.

The space
The property is a historic 1920s home, but the basement is new and modern. It features a large central living space and theater room, connected to a well-equipped galley kitchen. The luxurious bathroom is attached to the master bedroom, but there is also a second bonus room with a murphy bed.

This is grandpa and grandma's space when they are in town. So rest assured we keep it clean and comfy!

PLEASE NOTE: This is a basement unit in an old house. This is a warning if creaky floors above you are going to bother you.
