A three minutes walk to downtown Nelson with many restaurants, shops, pubs, craft breweries and the art gallery and museum. You are at the centre of it all but have a quiet, private retreat to come home to. Large private outdoor space to enjoy - porch and patio. The suite features local artists' work and photos of some of our favourite coffee shops and restaurants. 2 minute drive to rail trails (10 min walk). 30min drive to White Water Ski Resort. 10min drive to Nordic Ski Trails. 5 minute walk to swimming pool and recreation centre. It's the best of Nelson location.

THE SPACE
As you enter, you'll be greeted by soaring ceilings, wood floors, and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lake. The Master bedroom boasts unique barn doors opening onto the beautiful living area below, a luxurious king bed, and a cozy electric fireplace sitting area. The Master loft also has a round pedestal table and chairs and a dream ensuite with a soaker tub and spacious waterfall shower.
The Canter room has a tranquil ambiance with a white horse mural and its own private full en-suite. The Canter room features deluxe bedding on a comfortable queen bed and two closets.
Relax in the living room, with its floor-to-ceiling windows and leather sectional couch, or prepare a meal in the enormous kitchen with its gas stove and 10' fir slab bar with stools. When it's time to dine, gather around the stunning live edge hand-hewn fir dinner table.
You will love the private mountain/lake view balcony with the Spaberry jacuzzi for two. Our home also features a washer/dryer and keyless code lock for your convenience.
While the railroad tracks run right in front of the suite, with trains passing by a couple of times a day, most guests find this no problem at all. The trains run fairly slow and don't usually honk on this end of town. The tracks run all along the lake, past many of the best areas close to the water and near downtown.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Nestled in the heart of Nelson, the Lamplighter boutique guesthouse is just a short walk from fabulous coffeehouses, sidewalk cafes, amazing restaurants, and local art. You'll be able to walk to the movies, take in a play at the Capitol Theatre, or stroll through the Wednesday or Saturday summer markets. When you need a break, simply head back to your private suite and relax on the patio with its BBQ and breathtaking views of the lake and mountains. The Lamplighter is located in a quiet neighborhood, separate from any highway or downtown noise. A 15-minute walk will take you to the lakeside pathway, which stretches along the shore past the mall and through Lakeside Park to the orange bridge. The occasional trains that pass by in the mornings and late afternoons are rarely a disturbance, and reviews of the guesthouse often mention its serene and peaceful ambiance. In addition to its convenient location, the Lamplighter is also close to Cottonwood Falls and the Saturday market, as well as Gyro Park and its famous view lookout. For hikers, Elephant Mountain's Pulpit Rock lookout is also within easy reach. With everything from the hustle of the city center to business district to serene beaches and natural parks all within walking distance, the Lamplighter offers the best of both worlds.

(the summer sun comes right into the bedroom, so if you are a late sleeper, a sleep mask will be your friend). There are serval nods to the historical age of the house. Old exposed beams, repurposed heritage doors, very charming. Lynne obviously cares about her guest's comfort and experience. It is much larger than you think. And I was happy to see the recent addition of a small stove. A good variety of kitchen tools, dishes and cutlery. Perfect! We also took advantage of an optional bunk area just off the bedroom. My 5ft10" teen boy fit comfortably and loved having his own space. The King bed is luxurious! The bedroom is spacious. The towels are plush! Lynne has though of pretty much everything a person could need. The afternoon sun warmed the front room slightly, but not uncomfortably. We found keeping the fun yellow door closed during the day helped to keep the sleeping areas basement cool. Would recommend and would stay again if the need arose."

This executive suite has been styled to be a gallery for the visual arts and many of the pieces are for sale. All appliances are brand new. This suite is minutes from hundreds of mountain bike trails or easy walks along the rails to trails. Enjoy a Bbq dinner while relaxing outside in Adirondack chairs or at the Bistro table.
Diane, the owner lives above the suite and is a ceramic artist and potter. She has a beautiful ceramic studio in her backyard where she teaches workshops on the wheel and hand- building/sculpture. She is a memer of an International Artisan's at Work' Network and has a self guided tour to the studio, along with an outdoor galkery currently selling her Emergence line.

The tiny house has a main floor space of 10x28ft=280 sq ft as well as an upstairs loft that has standing room and is another 110sq feet. Upstairs you can enjoy an in-house movie experience with the projector (benQ) that casts onto the loft wall. Downstairs there is also a Bose speaker and mini sub for your audio pleasure.
The outdoor covered deck with a BBQ and a comfortable outdoor lounge is private and spacious. There is a small grassy yard that is shared just beyond the deck (I have a raspberry and strawberry patch there). You can sit in the shade under the canopy of trees.
The kitchen has everything you need to make some amazing food. The kitchen is equipped with granite counter tops, a Ninja blender, french press or stove top espresso maker, coffee grinder, popcorn maker and toaster as well as all the good knives and cutting boards you would ever need.
The bathroom has in-floor heating, a lovely rain head shower and a composting toilet that is very user friendly and is odour free.
Enjoy an epsom salt bath in the outside bathtub sunken into the deck and enjoy the birds and eagles that call this mountain side home.
The mahogany dining table swings out to seat 4 people if you want to have a few friends over for dinner or a visit.
The temperature is regulated by a Daikin mini split heat pump. This is both an air conditioner and heater.
The driveway is steep and requires 4WD to drive to the doorstep and in the winter months this is a requirement to book.
If you have 2WD then don’t fret because from April til November you can park below and walk the 50 feet to the tiny house.

Fruitvale has everything you need: local grocery store, liquor store, a few restaurants and is close to many tourist attractions, golf and skiing!
Our favourite places to visit are: Champion Lakes Provincial Park, Gyro Park in Trail, downtown Rossland & Nelson for shopping and dining, Syringa Provincial Park, or Christina Lake is a short drive away. Great golf, skiing and hiking are all close by too.

Do this either before or after you enjoy Wait’s On Nelson which is an excellent breakfast and lunch diner only one block away. Resolution Place Guesthouse is removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown, yet downtown is still only a pleasant stroll away where you will find a myriad of superb dining and nightlife options. Enjoy relaxing on your quiet private patio when you are not out participating in the outstanding beauty of the area and the many local activities available right at hand. In addition, you will have private off-street parking, a private entrance and, of course, your own private bathroom. Like a luxury hotel room, included for your convenience are a microwave, Keurig coffee maker, kettle and fridge, but there is no full kitchen. I personally would be thrilled if I found this VRBO rental in any town, let alone in the coolest small art town in British Columbia! The space
The house was built in 2020 with energy efficiency in mind. It's quiet, is centrally located in Rossland, has free parking, and is the perfect spot for exploring the West Kootenay Region. There are 2 bedrooms (Queen & Twin, Queen), a full bath, and an open design kitchen/dining/living room with a vaulted ceiling to 14 feet. The views of the Rossland Range are superb out the floor-to-ceiling windows. Guests comment on the comfortable mattresses, high quality linens, the unique granite countertops, and the functional design of the open concept.

As part of the booking process, we will require that you agree to and sign a copy of our Terms and Conditions.
Approximately 3 to 7 days prior to your arrival we will email you, via DocuSign, our Terms and Conditions to be signed electronically. You are also required to provide your credit card details for the purpose of pre-authorizing a hold of $1000. CAD as a Damage Deposit. The pre-authorization will commence on your day of arrival and automatically expire after check out and property inspection.
Provided that you have completed and signed the Terms and Conditions, you will receive an email approximately 3 days prior to your arrival with self check-In instructions to the property.
FOR LONGER TERM BOOKINGS OF 27 NIGHTS OR MORE
This requires an Occupancy Agreement to be signed along with a non-refundable deposit equal to one month's rent and a Property Condition Guarantee (50% of monthly rental rate) required to be paid.
Cleaning fees charged for longer term stays go towards the departure clean at the end of your stay, additional cleaning charges may apply depending on the state of the property upon check out.
Please note that toiletries and laundry detergent are not supplied for long term bookings. Starter supplies including toilet paper, dishwasher tabs and garbage bags are provided.

This brand new space is accessible through the main house upstairs, I live on the main floor.
There is a kitchenette with many appliances (Ninja airfryer/pressure cooker/roaster, Hot plate, Toaster Oven, Magic Bullet, Kettle, Grinder for coffee), a small refrigerator/freezer and a table and chairs. There’s complimentary tea/coffee and stocked essentials. You have your own bathroom complete with Japanese style toilet seat and a Bluetooth speaker built into the fan. There is a base board heater for you to set the temperature upstairs. Play music on the Bluetooth speaker provided. Lots of storage for your things, a vanity with a hair dryer to get ready for evenings out on the town (it’s only a 10 minute walk) and a luxurious queen bed with a beautiful view to enjoy.
Queen size bed has a medium density memory foam mattress and 650 thread count sheets to maximize your comfort. I look forward to welcoming you!

The space
The guest suite is a private space on the lower level of our home with full views and walkout. The suite is approximately 350 sq ft and has lots of homey comforts including boardgames, books, and kitchen essentials (including microwave, kettle and small fridge/freezer - note that there is no cooktop/hotplate). We provide travel guides of the local area, magazines, and useful resources to help you make the most of your time in Nelson. Complimentary mountain bikes (medium and large) available that are suitable for the nearby rail trail.

Please note that we have two young boys (6&4 as of 2025). We all sleep two floors above. Our mornings usually start at 7am, so you will likely hear little people during the day as our family room and kitchen are above the suite, especially between 7am-8am, and 4pm-7pm. If noise is a concern (ex. Working from the suite) please bear this in mind before booking. We can provide free ear plugs if requested.

Access to the garden and seasonal produce (when in season) is out your front door. The suite is accessed by a sloped side walkway. Those with limited mobility may find the access difficult.

We can offer laundry service if desired. Please communicate with us in advance as the washer/dryer is not located in the suite and requires us to schedule with you accordingly.

This private basement suite is based in a quiet neighbourhood which is situated at one of the highest lookout points in Trail, BC. It offers an old 1920's vibe.

Welcome to our unique airbnb. As you step into this basement, you’re greeted by the raw charm of exposed concrete walls and industrial accents, giving the space a distinct urban vibe. Although our place isn't fancy, its compact size is invitingly cozy and comfortable, perfect for winding down after a day exploring.
The space
This cozy basement unit is perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring or remote work. While it lacks a full kitchen, it provides a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, and Keurig coffee machine for your convenience. For entertainment, you can enjoy Cable TV, Netflix, and Disney. The coffee table also has some games available for your use. If you have valuables or other items to secure, a locker is provided—just remember to bring your own lock. Additionally, there's ample storage space for your bikes, skis, or snowboarding gear, so feel free to bring them inside. We understand you might be feeling tired when you arrive, so we've arranged some light snacks for your convenience.
Feel free to use the patio area and smoker at the front of the house. You might see us out there from time to time.
For security, we have two cameras on the property: one in the carport and one at the front door.
Given that the house is over 100 years old, please be mindful of low ceilings and steps—there are signs as reminders. Some parts of the basement are unfinished but should not affect your stay.

We feel it is fair to warn that if you are looking for perfect silence and tranquility you may be happier elsewhere.
