Bath has lots of hot water and new shower head. Heat is wood or stand alone electric heat.

We are located on dozens of acres of our family's privately-owned land, and surrounded by tens of thousands of acres of National Forest land. You will experience the sights and sounds of nature and farmland, with eagles and hawks soaring overhead, and the distant sound of mooing cows in the valley below. On our hiking trails, you won't see other people, but you may see deer, elk, moose, or even bears!

Town is close-by; Bonners Ferry is only a ten minute drive away, and we are just 25 minutes from Sandpoint and 30 to Schweitzer. There is always something to see and do in the area, and we provide our guests with so many suggestions for local shopping, dining, and recreation that you might need to visit more than once to see it all!

Included with your stay is one bundle of firewood, propane for the grill, and cleaning of cabin. We also provide coffee and a few basic condiments.

Landscaping and fencing separate the guest area, and guests do not share any spaces of any kind with us. We rarely see our guests after check-in!

Our guest house is located just north of Bonners Ferry, Idaho at the crossroads of US 95 and US 2. US 95 leads north to Banff and Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada which is 5 hours away. US 2 leads east to Glacier National Park in Montana. It is about 3 hours away. We are scenically located between three mountain ranges where there is an abundance of hiking, fishing, kayaking and other outdoor activities.

Our guest house has a view of several mountains in the three ranges. From the bedroom window you can see two peaks across the valley floor (locally known as 'Blacky and Clifty") and then the 7 sisters in the Selkirk range. We've been told by more than one person that we have the best views in the county. We are situated on 6 acres which are home to plenty of wildlife and you will have a good chance to see deer and wild turkeys.

The guest house is an apartment on the backside of a large unattached garage next to our house. It has its own private entrance and parking area out of site from our house. This unit is new construction built within the last 8 years and it is where we lived as our house was being built. We have rented it to longer term renters the past couple of summers. It has 1 bedroom with a queen bed; a kitchen with full size refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher; a living area with a futon, extra chair and desk; a bathroom with tub/shower; and a utility room with a stacking washer/dryer. The unit is on one level however there are 5 steps to the front door. There is an outside sitting area for you to relax and enjoy great views.

We are open to price considerations if you wish to stay a week, or if you wish to stay a month or longer.

Like its namesake, Elk's Run is a unique find. Nestled on an acre lot, this meticulously decorated 2 bedroom 2 bath house has everything you will need to fully enjoy your stay. With a stocked kitchen to cook family meals, an office space, and a living room, there is plenty of space for you to spread out and enjoy a family or friends getaway.

Uber and Lyft do not operate in this area. 4-wheel drive is recommended during winter months. It could snow up to a foot of snow overnight.

For stays longer than 30 nights we do require a lease agreement, background check, copy of drivers licence, and a one time insurance fee to be paid before your arrival. For stays 30-59 nights it will be $230 and each additional 30 night block of your stay will be an additional $80

Your private riverfront retreat awaits! This large 2022 5th Wheel RV is located on our two acre Kootenai River front property in Bonners Ferry. Situated 30 minutes south of the Canadian border and 45 minutes north of Sandpoint, ID, Bonners Ferry is a small and friendly town for those who love the outdoors. The property fronts the beautiful Kootenai River and is across the river from downtown Bonners Ferry and the Boundary County Fairgrounds.

Our family lives full time in the home on the property and the RV is located in a private area just off of Northriver Dr sheltered by trees and foliage. Guests will enjoy beautiful river views and can hear the water flowing downstream and the birds chirping in the trees.

The 5th wheel is a 2022 Forest River Cherokee Arctic Wolf Limited Suite 3770 model. It is a 2-bedroom 1.5-bathroom model that features a King-size bed in the Master/Main bedroom, with brand new upgraded Casper mattress (the most comfortable mattress we’ve found), full mattress enclosure, high quality mattress pad and comfortable linens. The room has a flatscreen TV (new LG smart TV), two closet areas, two drawers and a desk area. A bathroom with shower, toilet and sink is right outside the door. There are three screened windows in this bedroom, all of which can open for airflow and which have privacy shades as well.

The living area has a large pantry, full kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, 3 burner gas stovetop, oven, sink, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and blender.

The living room has a large sofa that seats 5 and 4 of the seats are recliners. There is a flatscreen TV and gas fireplace. There are two folding tables that can be pulled from the closet and set out by the sofa for dining. Guests can also dine outdoors on the new picnic table with expandable shade umbrella.

In the back end of the RV is a 2nd bedroom with a Full over Full bunk bed. The bottom bunk has a brand new Simmons upgraded mattress and can sleep two. The top bunk has a futon type mattress and can comfortably sleep two children or one adult. (Top bunk not to exceed 300 lbs). There is an adjoining 1/2 bath with toilet and sink. A second entry door leads out from the bathroom for ease of bathroom / rear bedroom access from outside.

On the side of the RV is an outdoor kitchen with small refrigerator and sink. There is also a BBQ grill, picnic table with shade umbrella and camp chairs. There are two shade awnings off the side of the RV with built in LED lighting. Sound system throughout the RV.

Guests have access to the river via an old boat ramp. No kayaks, canoes or boats are included but you are welcome to bring your own. You can fish from the property with an Idaho fishing license. Outdoor uncovered parking is available right next to the RV for two vehicles.

This property is near the railroad bridge that crosses the Kootenai and you will hear trains on occasion as they cross the river. Trains are loud, of course, but pass relatively quickly. There is no set schedule and so they pass at random times.

Otherwise, this is a quiet and idyllic location where you can see bald eagles, Canadian Geese and hear other birds and small wildlife.

RV has full hookups.

(The $15 administration fee is for accidental damage waiver which covers up to $500 of accidental damage if the guest informs us upfront.)

We would love for you to bring your furry family members to the cabin! Please note that any dog that accompanies you must stay within the property boundaries. When not in the gated backyard, that may mean certain dogs may need to be on a leash. Please pick up all dog poop before departing. Unattended dogs must be kenneled while inside the cabin. They are not to be left in the fenced yard while guests are not around.

The owners DO NOT live on-site. You can expect privacy.

There is no A/C but the cabin stays plenty cool even in the hot summer temps. We recommend cooling the cabin off at night by opening the windows and using the provided fan to pull in cool air. In the morning we recommend shutting the windows as the temperatures warm up again and pulling blinds on South and West side of cabin. That keeps it nice and comfortable all day long.

What is privacy like at the cabin? While the property is only 100' wide, it's surrounded by seasonal properties that are infrequently occupied, it has heavy trees on the property lines as this is in a forest and the nearest home is not on the river but by the road, so despite only being an acre lot it feels extremely private. Other homes are visible from across the river but doesn't intrude on privacy.

Can you hear the train from this cabin? This is one of the only properties along the Moyie River NOT near a train crossing where trains are required to blow their horns, day and night. Many other vacation rentals are within a few hundred feet of a train crossing. You will hear trains stopping and starting but that is generally a max of two a day.

Our cozy cabin is for those who may wish to do a solo trip in rustic comfort or spend time with someone special like a loved one or a good friend. It’s comfortable camping and time to enjoy the wilderness. Be it hiking, mountain biking, snow shoeing, canoeing, kayaking and/or fishing; it’s all here. Plus you’re only minutes away from town in case you forgot something.
We ask that people don’t wear their outdoor shoes in the cabin, there is no drinking, smoking or parties on the property and especially in the cabin itself. We live here too and enjoy the peaceful beauty the mountains provide.

The only thing your tiny cabin does not have is a traditional bathroom. There is another little cabin next-door, which is the outhouse/bathhouse where a “sun shower” (during the summer) and an “outhouse style” toilet are provided. Wet wipes and hand sanitizer are also provided in the bathhouse.

We are a quarter of a mile from downtown Bonners Ferry, meaning walking distance to Breakfast, lunch, dinner, casino, beautiful views and friendly people! We are 45 minutes to the village of Schweitzer and a great stopping point before Canada. Super clean and love to share our hand crafted tiny guest home!

The Outhouse is located on property. We as hosts are next door in the main house, so if you need anything we are avilable!

This cozy cabin is nestled in the scenic hills of Moyie Springs - located between Bonners Ferry, ID and Troy, MT - with a plethora of nearby trails suitable for a casual day hike or an intense backpacking trip alike. The moment you step outside, you are greeted with an unrivaled view of the Kootenai River and the Cabinet Mountains. Enjoy the splendor of God's creation by day, and spend the evening in comfort around an outdoor fire pit.

The space
This guest cabin features a loft suitable for children and young adults, a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a kitchenette with a hot plate and microwave, and a small combined refrigerator and freezer. There are two outdoor fire pits for use in the colder months. The bathroom has a shower and one sink. Guests are also welcome to put a tent on the lawn as long as it is not visible from the house.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to the area immediately surrounding the cabin, including the fire pits, porch, and yard. Parking is available on the gravel driveway in front and to the left side of the cabin.

All buildings other than the cabin are accessible by invitation only. Please do not wander near the house or the shop.

Other things to note
The cabin is within half an hour of a laundromat, Boundary County airport, and Bonners Ferry. The Moyie Springs general store is within a 10-minute drive westbound on the 2.

Bonners Ferry has a plethora of restaurants, including:

Just minutes from the majestic Kootenai River & less than an hour to skiing at Schweitzer Mountain, & more!

It's brand new, furnished comfortably but not cluttered, 2 bedrooms, with one queen bed in each, plus a pull out sofa bed, and a portable crib inside one of the bedroom walk-in closets (with sheets as well). It's near everything you'll want and need, and only a short drive to enjoy the beauty of Boundary County and our little town!

The Principals Office is one of our best rooms. It has the best view in the house. From the room you can see the valley, the river, mountain range and of course the historic downtown. This room features a private bathroom and queen bed. Sleeps 2. Within walking distance to historic downtown which features dining, shops and a casino. Season heated pool and year round hot tub, deck and gardens. Home-cooked breakfast in the morning is included. Historic building does have stairs.

This lovely room has views of our historic downtown as well as the river. It features a queen size bed and private bathroom. Our historic schoolhouse built in 1912 (does have stairs)is within walking distance of our historic downtown which includes dining, shopping, and the casino. Our property has a seasonal heated pool, year round hot tub, deck and grounds to explore. Close to wildlife refuge and several waterfalls and hikes. Home-cooked breakfast is included.

The Refuge Retreat nestled along the Kootenai River, adjacent to the Kootenai Wildlife Refuge, has a panoramic view of the Selkirk Mountains, British Columbia, and Montana. Located 9 miles from downtown Bonners Ferry, the Bunkhouse is suited for family of 4, outdoor sportsmen, or a weekend retreat.
This place would afford you the opportunity of endless outdoor activities: fishing, kayaking, hunting, hiking, photography. The host encourages you to provide your own recreational equipment.
