Kitchen is small, mid size fridge w/ separate freezer on top; many methods of cooking ( NuWave stove top with all pans; electric stainless skillet , microwave, electric kettle,crock pot. Bath has lots of hot water and new shower head. Heat is wood or stand alone electric heat.

The Selkirk Flat is cozy for any couple! With the North Idaho views and the comfortable amenities, this flat is the perfect get-way. (Great hiking, mountain fishing, hunting, bird watching, 4 wheeling, snowmobiling, and many waterfalls a short drive away.)

Being next to state land provides lots of room to explore! Lots of hiking and mountain lakes in the area. Steep driveway, 4 wheel drive /All wheel drive required in the winter.

We are located on dozens of acres of our family's privately-owned land, and surrounded by tens of thousands of acres of National Forest land. You will experience the sights and sounds of nature and farmland, with eagles and hawks soaring overhead, and the distant sound of mooing cows in the valley below. On our hiking trails, you won't see other people, but you may see deer, elk, moose, or even bears!

Town is close-by; Bonners Ferry is only a ten minute drive away, and we are just 25 minutes from Sandpoint and 30 to Schweitzer. There is always something to see and do in the area, and we provide our guests with so many suggestions for local shopping, dining, and recreation that you might need to visit more than once to see it all!

Included with your stay is one bundle of firewood, propane for the grill, and cleaning of cabin. We also provide coffee and a few basic condiments.

Landscaping and fencing separate the guest area, and guests do not share any spaces of any kind with us. We rarely see our guests after check-in!

We welcome 1 dog for a fee. Dog must be on leash when outside. If dog cannot be in crate when alone we offer a beautiful outdoor dog kennel for your use.
CHILDREN:
Children 2 and over must be listed on reservation and do count as a guest.

COOKING:
Please make yourself at home, but cooking of seafood must be cooked on the outdoor grill.

SMOKING:
NO smoking or vaping of any kind allowed ANYWHERE on property, this is non-negotiable. No candles , incense or any other flammable items are allowed at any time. You will be asked to leave if found to be breaking this policy.

GUESTS:
Only guests on reservation allowed on property, no exceptions.

MOUNTAIN:
Our driveway is a graveled mountain road, so you will drive up about 3/4 mile on rocky terrain.
