The cabin was clean and nice. I love how peaceful it was here." - "Immaculate! We felt like we had our own private oasis, no neighbors besides eagles and other wildlife! We had a bonfire on the beach it was truly awesome! We collected beautiful, unique rocks, some look like petrified wood! Our dog loved the water and so did my hubby who took in a scuba dive and found an old brown beer bottle from the 1900’s! Truly a dream paradise!!! We will be back soon!!!!"

- "We can't say enough about how fantastic our stay was thanks to Michael and Susanne. They are fantastic hosts who made our stay in Creston unforgettable. The physical space and peace and tranquility of their home invites you to relax and enjoy your holiday. It's been a long time since we've vacationed away from city lights and we were literally star struck by the brilliance of the night sky. We appreciated the beautiful space and all of the delicious produce they shared with us from their organic gardens. We were especially in awe of and inspired by the thoughtful architecture, where we were always comfortable even on the hottest days. My husband and I are avid cyclists. We loved exploring the valley on two wheels. We rode all over and discovered Creston's myriad treasures...don't miss Kootenay Meadows organic dairy, or the valley's wineries and farmer's markets. Also of note is Wild North microbrewery. Make sure you save room for ice cream at Sunshine 'N Gelato! We are so grateful to have found this little piece of heaven and these truly genuine, gracious people we will never forget."

Enjoy a stay at Cloud #9 Cabin! Here you can relax in the hot tub or curl up on the couch and watch the cable tv provided. You can scroll your social media with a great wifi connection while cozying up to the wood stove inside the cabin or sitting around a small campfire outside. Wake up to the birds singing and fall asleep to the wind in the trees. Okell creek runs through our property adding to the tranquility. Get your r&r at our cozy cabin tucked away in the woods. Cloud #9 Cabin is located in Arrowcreek— just 15 minutes from downtown Creston. Here in the beautiful Creston Valley and surrounding area there is much to enjoy and our cabin offers the perfect private retreat after an adventure packed day! Winter Stays: When there is snow on the ground, the driveway to the cabin will be closed to vehicles and guests will have a short hike in (approximately150 metres). We recommend checking-in and out in daylight hours as the driveway is not lit up. Pets are welcome to stay at Cloud #9 Cabin. You will need to include them in your reservation so we are aware they are coming. They are not allowed in or on the bed as it’s hard on our linens.
- "This was our second stay we enjoyed it so kuch" - "This is a cozy cabin for two that is completely private in the woods near the owner's house. When I say "secluded" I mean not visible from the street or the owner's house which is in a very quiet area. We had a rainy weekend, so we didn't use the fire pit outside, but made a nice fire in the wood stove inside. Though only for two, it's not cramped by any means. The hot tub is a two person one and was an awesome way to end our days. You won't be sorry to stay here."

Get away from it all without breaking the bank !! Now back on the market by popular demand from former guests. We are again offering the 340 sft cabin, ideal for a single traveler or for a couple. The cabin is especially popular by bicycle riders since it is located approximately midway between Creston and the ferry landing at Kootenay Bay. The cabin is equipped with a queen size bed, bedding, linens and towels, kitchen with mid-size fridge, full size kitchen range, microwave, coffee maker and dishes, pots & pans and kitchen utensils for 2 guests. It also has a bathroom with shower and plenty of hot water. To stay connected, in an area with next to no cell service, we have now equipped the cabin with it's own Wi-Fi (Copper Telus 6 - fast enough for streaming videos- set your phone to wifi calling ). Since Summers seem to be getting hotter every year, we now installed a good cooling Window A/C unit that keeps the cabin cool even on a very hot day. It's only a short walk or drive to Mackie Beach Park with it's beautiful pebble beach, picnic tables, swim platform, firepit, washroom and shaded parking area. The cabin is located just above the beach campground area and a short 2 min walk away from a long swim or from a quick refreshing dip in the lake. For boaters, the public boat ramp is 1 mile south and free to use ( please consider a donation - a donation box is installed next to the ramp - please bring cash). Boaters are welcome to park their boats in our designated boat parking area for a $10/ night fee. The boat fee must be paid to the host directly. Useful items to bring are: foldable camping chairs; table top or portable BBQ and propane, an approved propane fire pit during fire ban times, swim shoes, matches, fire starters, a flash light, paddle boards or kayaks/canoe. The resort is on a boil water advisory, please bring bottled water or bring the tap water to a 3 minute rolling boil.
**Boswell is situated approximately halfway between Creston and the ferry landing in Kootenay Bay. The ferry crosses the lake towards the Nelson side and is free to use. Guests often walk on and enjoy a free round trip lake cruise with breathtaking views. The Osprey 2000's snack bar sells very delicious hot dogs and bakery items. Kokanee Golf Resort is a short 25 min. drive by car. Hundreds of secluded beaches and bays to explore by boat! Guests may leave their canoes and kayaks at our beach area (bring a chain and padlock). We allow dogs but no other kind of pets. We absolutely do NO allow cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles etc ). Our nightly dog fee/PER DOG is $10 Chihuahua/Yorkie size, $15 up to 25 kg ( 50 pounds) and $ 25 for very large or very hairy breeds. The dog fee covers additional cleaning and must be paid to the host directly. Dogs must be kept on a leash. To guests who would rather want to stay at an accommodation that is more spacious and right by the water, we recommend a stay at one of our Waterfront Log Chalets. Guests with mobility issues or families with smaller children usually prefer a stay at our 1500 sft vacation home. * This cabin is clean, functional and affordable but more like a tiny home.
- "Claudia is responsive and easy to deal with. The cottage is charming and well outfitted for a getaway. Everything you could need for making your own meals and snacks. The view from the bedroom/living area is amazing (beautiful view of Kootenay Lake and mountains). It is a reasonable drive from the artisan shops of Crawford Bay and the ferry across the lake. For our needs it was perfect! Those looking to be right on the water might be disappointed BUT location is clear in the cottage description."

- "Beautiful property, in a wonderful spot right near beaches and not too far from services. Great swimming spots, our little family (and Dog!) made so many great, wonderful new memories. Would love to return again - thanks Michael!" - "Great place on Kootney lake but you do share the private beach if someone else has rented the second cabin. A/C in the house would be nice on those hot days and warm nights." - "We rented this cabin based on the fact it was 4 bedrooms and close proximity to a private beach. Pros: - amazing front deck with views of lake and mountains and ample sun and shade - Adequately set up for basic needs: towels, blankets, bbq, pots and pans -cabin is a good size to accommodate larger parties and not feel like you’re on top of each other (we are a family of 7) - use of private beach and 2 person kayak was highlight Could be better: - 4 beds, not 4 bedrooms - there are no curtains/blinds on windows in the bathroom or bedrooms and none of the doors close completely. Felt odd showering exposed to front and back yard. Lack of blinds allowed inside temps to get to 26/27 degrees well into the evening and hard to cool down with minimal opening windows/windows with screens - garbage/critters: there is no garbage storage/disposal on site. Full bags are loaded into personal vehicle and driven 2 kms down highway. Also had to deal with mice in the basement starting on the 2nd night resulting in ++cleaning, laundry, setting of traps etc. Frustrating when on vacation. - the private beach is shared with the other rental cabin so unfortunately we did not have it to ourselves until our last day - some rental “staples” would be nice: condiments, spices, different size skillets etc for larger groups, basic toiletries Lovely spot overall but for the price point I expected a bit more.
