It was formerly incorporated as a town prior to 1979 when it amalgamated with four other municipalities to form Crowsnest Pass. Blairmore is the principal commercial centre of Crowsnest Pass.

Thousands of eagles migrate over the Pass (observation deck at Frank Interpretive Centre), Mining Tours, authentic shops, Wildlife (moose, bear, sheep, etc.), Waterfalls (lundbreck, Rainbow falls, Star creek), volcanic rock (Frank museum and west of Coleman), Frank museum has a replica of "Black Beauty" (skull of a teenage T-Rex found on the banks of CNP river around the 80's).

Powderkeg is an ALL-season playground for skiing (cross country & downhill), snowshoeing, hiking, biking, kayaking and is home to scenic mountain golf course, authentic shops and Heritage sites, etc.

The space
Located in the Rocky Mountains Fair Wind Cottage was built in 1908. This home has seen a lot of change throughout the years. It was once the home to a butcher shop (in one of the now garages), and a full bed and breakfast. We are excited to be going back to its bed and breakfast days and hope to host other events in the near future!

The garden suite is a bachelor style suite with a walk-in shower bathroom, queen bed, and small kitchenette. It is attached to the main house but has no interior access to the house. We hope you are able to come and relax in this beautiful space and take advantage of the spacious garden yard finding a spot to read perhaps, or playing games in the gazebo when the weather is warmer!

We know that a day of travelling can be exhausting so we will have some snacks ready for you upon arrival! We do not have cable tv however we offer Disney+, and multiple channels on Roku. We also have a variety of books and magazines for you to read, and board games to play! Don't forget to also explore the large garden like back yard especially in the warmer months! We also have an outdoor firepit that you can use when fires are permitted!

If you require mountain bike, skis, snowboard, etc storage please contact us and we can make arrangements to have a garage space available for you.

Please note we are just over 1 hour from Waterton National Park, 45 minutes to Fernie, 25 minutes to Sparwood. The Crowsnest Pass is comprised of 5 small towns, we are located in Coleman.

You will be able to have access to the courtyard, in the warmer months enjoy a meal in the outdoor dining areas, you can also grab a blanket and settle down anywhere in the yard. The gazebo is also available for you to kick back in. Please note that the treehouse is currently unavailable for guests.

Your host team is Mallory and Grace! In 2021 Mallory and her husband Marshall bought this beautiful property for Grace to live in and to see as a place to entertain and create community! Mallory is a mom to 3 young kids and is your behind the scenes host. You will likely see her and her family around doing yard work, playing, or just hanging out at Grandma's house. Grace is someone who you may see throughout your stay. She is the owner of Wild Pies, an amazing hand pie and other yummy treats business that you may be able to experience while you stay with us! The bedroom includes a luxurious King size bed, our guests consistently comment about how comfortable the bed is. There is also a queen size, fold out, cabinet bed, in the living area with quality four inch memory foam mattress.

Right outside your bedroom door, the private washroom includes a separate adjoining room with walk-in shower.

Your private living area includes a comfortable sitting area in front of the large, reclaimed brick, woodburning fireplace. A second adjacent sitting area includes the cabinet bed and two comfortable leather lounge chairs with ottomans. Enjoy Wifi on your personal electronic devices, read a good book or enjoy watching Netflix or Amazon Prime on the flatscreen TV with sound surround.

Step out onto the secluded covered patio that has a comfortable table and chairs to sit and relax, enjoy a drink, or a meal. You are also invited to enjoy the back yard which is surrounded by a municipal nature reserve, relax in the hammock or on the lounge chairs.

Keep an eye out for the Deer that regularly visit or possibly even a Moose or Wild turkeys.

Your space includes a Keurig coffee machine with sustainable reusable pods filled with fresh ground coffee, electric kettle, tea and snacks, an oversized mini fridge with separate freezer compartment, a microwave, and a toaster oven. There are table and chairs to sit and eat inside as well as the patio table on the covered patio.

We offer a queen bed in the bedroom, couch that makes into a bed in the living room, we also have a portable cot if needed.

We have an ICF foundation which is foam insulation with a core that is concrete, in floor heat with epoxy covered floors. This is very cozy when temperatures drop it provides for allot of comfort especially with the floors warm and no sound of a furnace.

The space has its on HRV unit which provides fresh air to the suite.

No need for air conditioning in this location the foundation keeps the suite cool in the summer plus the creek is cool and acts like a natural air conditioner at night.

The unfinished basement is perfect for storing equipment and includes a washer/dryer. Equipment for young children available (e.g., travel crib, baby gate, high chair, etc.)

Please note this home requires climbing stairs to get to the main floor. The TV is equipped with an HDMI cable and a Roku to connect your personal streaming services (no cable).

We allow pets in the home but require guests to keep their animals off of the furniture (beds and couches), and to clean up droppings. We do charge a $50 pet fee as we consistently have to put in extra cleaning hours after a pet has stayed.

Absolutely no parties as we love our neighbours and don’t want them to be disturbed. If a complaint is received and not immediately addressed your stay may be at risk.

The house is south-facing with a private, fully fenced yard that offers plenty of sunshine and great views. There is a front porch where you can enjoy your morning coffee, and a bbq, outdoor seating and propane fire bowl for the backyard..

The house itself will accommodate maximum 6 people and 2 vehicles with designated onsite parking (no street parking allowed under bylaw). Enjoy a large comfy living area, a kitchen with a small eating area, plus a four-piece bathroom and three bedrooms (1 queen, 1 double, and 1 single-over-double bunk bed). The unfinished basement has a full-size ping pong table, foosball table, washer/dryer and second bathroom (upgrades in progress).

We offer self check-in and the entire house and yard is yours to enjoy. Please note: Municipal bylaws limit us to maximum 2 vehicles and rental guests MUST park in the designated space behind the house (access from alley) and not in the street — sorry for any inconvenience. You can park on the front or side street to unload bags and passengers before parking in back. We cannot accommodate ATV or recreational trailers.

There are a few steps up to the front door.

Other things to note
The house is within walking distance of hiking, biking and ski trails. This is bear country, so please be safe and help protect our wildlife. The bbq grill should be cleaned after each use, no food can be left outside, and garbage must be put in a black bag and placed inside the bear-proof bin in the alley by the garage. If you're hiking and biking, it is recommended to go with others (not alone) and carry bear spray. If you want more information on bear safety we are happy to send you some.

Also, please read the manual in the binder before using the propane fire bowl. It can be placed on the gravel in the metal fire ring on the grass. Please keep the flame low and don’t leave it unattended — dry and windy conditions are dangerous. Make sure the fire pit, bbq and propane tanks are turned off after use.

The train runs through the Blairmore, so you will enjoy the romantic sound of the occasional train, which will remind you of the town's rich history.

The space
This house has 4 private bedrooms. Two bedrooms are equipped with brand new King sized beds. Upstairs King bedroom has an attached ensuite with a stand alone tub, beautiful shower and his and her sinks.

Next to this bedroom is a bedroom that is great for kids as it includes two Twin XL beds. Kids can be close to mom and dad on the upper floor or this room would be great for two adults. There is also a bathroom next to this bedroom with a shower.

There is an alcove on the upper floor that could sleep an additional person or child for a total of 11 persons.

There is another bedroom on the main floor with a King sized bed which has the option to turn the main floor bathroom into a private bathroom to this bedroom by closing the hallway door. This bathroom has a tub/shower combo.

The basement has a Queen sized bed but has the most amazing view from the bed looking out into the valley. The basement bathroom is also our largest bathroom and also includes a shower.

The basement TV room is semi private and not in a high traffic area. This new couch folds into a comfy sofa bed which is a double bed and is a beautiful space.

The house also has a large mud and laundry area with plenty of room for boots and coats as well as any ski gear. We have a ski rack in the garage.

The main floor living room is bright and spacious will an abundance of windows to enjoy the amazing view. We have an over sized sectional and two chairs in the living room as well as a gorgeous gas fireplace and TV.

The dining room has 7 chairs, but we have an additional 4 metal chairs in the garage and there are three counter stools at the island as well.

The kitchen is a high end, custom kitchen fully equipped with coffee machine, spices, coffee, tea, all dishes and cutlery, pots and pans, blender, and a crock pot. This kitchen is large enough to accommodate a large group without anyone stepping on anyone else's toes!

The back yard is beautiful looking into the forest as well as mountain/valley views. There is a fire pit, brand new hot tub that seats 7, as well as mountain bike and walking trail DIRECTLY behind our property! Kids will have a blast playing in the forest and surrounding property. The side street is a dead end, making it perfect for kids to play or ride bikes. We have plenty of board games for guests both adult and children's games as well as guide books.

We also have a pack n play crib for any infants joining you on the trip.

Guest access
You can gain access via door code. I live in Edmonton so it is unlikely I will be able to greet you upon arrival. I will be available via phone anytime to answer any questions you may have!

Other things to note
Our landscaping isn't completed yet but is a work in progress. It hasn't impacted previous renters as there is plenty of trees and green space around.

Spacious luxury home located in the Crowsnest Pass on Kenai Acres, your own private space in the mountains! North of the highway by the golf course! Just cross the highway and you're in Blairmore enjoying the shops, restaurants, and Pass Powderkeg ski hill and bike trails.
This large home has all the luxuries: 2 covered decks, 5 bedrooms, and 3 1/2 baths complete with bidet toilets! There is a massive kitchen with all the bells and whistles, and 2 living rooms! Lots of parking too !

The space
On the entry level is a bedroom with a twin bed and a half bath. Upstairs to the main level is a large bedroom with a king bed, full bathroom, kitchen/living/dining area, and up to the top level is the bonus room, 3 bedrooms, another full bathroom, and master ensuite bathroom. There is a large covered deck off of the kitchen/dining area, and another covered deck off the master suite!

Guest access
You get the whole house to yourself! Although distanced, this home is on the same property as a seasonal campground, micro cabins, and the Charmed Resort. Lots of parking and space, even if you're coming with a trailer of ATV's or snowmobiles. You will not have access to the garage, and the swim spa is currently not working.

Other things to note
As you are in the mountains, this home is in bear country. Hikers and bikers in the area should carry bear spray. We have a strict policy of no food, garbage, or bottles being left outside. Garbage is only to go in bear safe dumpsters. I DO NOT have EV charging. If you have the adapter for a regular plug-in for your EV, it is a $20/day charging fee. You MUST message me prior to arrival that you are bringing an EV. Power is very expensive in the Crowsnest Pass and therefore I need to charge accordingly. Thank you for your understanding!
