Traveling by train? Please note: West Glacier Train station is located at the bottom of the mountain from the property. This working railroad line runs parallel to Highway 2 in West Glacier. A slight rumbling can be felt in the house when a train passes by. The trains do not blow a horn when they pass through the area since West Glacier does not have an intersecting road with the trains. The history of Glacier is based on these rail lines and is an interictal part of the location.

This new 1110 sq foot log cabin sits in a perfect location. Out the back door is the Glacier View Golf Course and out the front door the Middle Fork of the Flathead River which offers excellent trout fishing. We are in West Glacier which provides the best access to all of the corners of Glacier National Park; including the famous "Going to the Sun Highway", the Alaska-like North Fork Road, and the backcountry roads into the Bob Marshall Wilderness.

After a busy day hiking, rafting, fishing, or exploring the Park you will love coming back to this cozy home. The cabin is constructed with solid blue pine logs and post and beam craftsmanship. In the great room, there is a cathedral ceiling and wood stove. A loft adds space for kids to play or watch television on the flat-screen TV. Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and cherry cabinets in the kitchen provide a great setting for baking a huckleberry pie!

The elegant yet rustic interior has hardwood floors and reclaimed wood stairway. There is a Queen bedroom upstairs with half bath and a loft area with a full futon to sleep two more. Downstairs is a Queen bedroom with a full bathroom. There are a washer and dryer on the main floor, as well.

Relax on the timber frame covered front porch with a beverage after a long day of hiking or barbecue in the back yard.

This cabin is conveniently located to provide year-round access to all of the amazing activities the Park has to offer. This modern cabin has all the amenities; a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living area with wood burning stove, (firewood is not provided), and large deck with BBQ, picnic table and reclining and Adirondack deck chairs, all with views you'll never forget. Plenty of room for six people with two bedrooms downstairs and a large loft. Downstairs you'll find a bedroom with a king bed, a bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom.

This lovely cedar cabin has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, one king size bed and a fold-out futon in the living room. A reservation at Lake McDonald Cabin does not include your ticketed access needed to drive Going-to-the Sun Road (GTTS) inside the Park from the west side. You will need to secure a vehicle reservation permit from the Park (see the Park website for details). Access is available without a Permit before or after the Check Point is staffed (before 7:00 am, or after 3:00 pm); or use the bus shuttle service or red bus tour. Note: This cabin is in the forest. You will have some insects (gnats, mosquitoes, flies, and spiders) at anytime throughout the year. There will be wild animals such as but not limited to bats, deer, gophers, elk, bears, and other animals around the cabin as well. Please be aware of these and prepare accordingly.

This unique property consists of 9 treed acres along the Middle Fork of the Flathead River which borders Glacier National Park. We are located between West Glacier and East Glacier so there is great access to either entrance of Glacier National Park. Relax on the deck during the day and enjoy a fire pit in the evening. Our Adobe home is unique home with historic charm located in West Glacier. This home was completely remodeled with original and recycled materials like our clawfoot bath tub, cast iron sinks and vintage fixtures. We are located in a quiet neighborhood just across the street from the West entrance of Glacier National Park. The home is very quiet with privacy and a wrap around deck with bbq area. The home has two private bedrooms with one queen bed in each, located upstairs from the main living area. The additional sleeping area is located upstairs in an alcove open area that features one twin bed. Upstairs also offers one 1/2 bath. The downstairs area offers the main living area with an open floor plan that includes a kitchen, dining area, laundry with new washer & dryer & one full size bathroom with clawfoot tub. Our living area also features a gas fireplace and flatscreen smart tv. Please note: West Glacier has a working railroad line that runs parallel to the town and any rentals in the area. The history of Glacier is based on these rail lines and part of the area history.

Our property is limited in amenities and does not offer a kitchen, but does offer a unique stay inside Glacier National Park on the shores of the lake. Apgar is a small walk or drive away for dining options or boat rentals for your days on the lake. You can also find additional dining options in West Glacier only a 5 minute drive.

Enjoy your own piece of paradies that only a few can enjoy with a stay inside Glacier National Park. The cabin has two bedrooms and one full size bathroom. One room offers a queen bed and one room offers two twin beds. Each room is private with a Jack in Jill style bathroom between the two rooms. Enjoy BBQing (Gas grill available) and dining outside under our covered outside picnic area with outstanding views of the Garden Wall. The cabin does not offer a full kitchen but you will find the kitchen basics such as a kuerig coffee maker, dorm size refrigerator, microwave and gas grill. Boats can be rented in Apgar for your use on the lake or bring your own boat to enjoy. Owners private boats on property are not for rental use.

Note: This property is located inside GNP on the West side of the park. You will need a Going to the Sun Vehicle reservation ticket with this rental and a national parks pass. Our cabin is located in Essex, MT; a small community sandwiched between Glacier National Park and the Great Bear Wilderness. Essex is a quaint rail-road town with a hand-full of year-round residents. We are nestled between the tracks and the creek and guests can expect to hear passing trains as well as the muddled sounds of Essex creek.

We are minutes away from the Walton Ranger Station (a quieter entrance entrance into the park), 30.9 miles from West Glacier, 29.7 miles from East Glacier, MT and right across the railroad tracks from hiking trails into the Great Bear Wilderness. The cabin has two covered porches and a lovely patio area that includes a fire pit.

The cabin is small but cozy. It has an open-floor plan that includes a king-sized bed in a loft, a full bathroom, a small but complete kitchen, and a sofa. There is no television but guests are welcome to use the WIFI to stream and entertainment they desire.

We are both people who live and love in the outdoors. Our goal is to create a space that brings the outside in and inspires folks to get out on their next adventure. Fishing, hiking, rafting, backpacking, horse riding and nature-walking are all easy and convenient from our location!

This newly remodeled year round home looks directly into the Glacier Park. Its always a great place to stay when visiting Glacier. Early season when the Going to the Sun Road may not be open over Logan’s Pass the cabins location is perfectly situated to access both sides of the Park! It is two stories with two bedrooms up stairs, a king room and a queen room. Downstairs there is another queen room, the kitchen/dining area, bathroom & living room.

It’s uniquely decorated in Montana decor inside and out. There is a BBQ area on one side of the house and a fire pit area on the other with plenty of seating.

All towels, linens, comforters, blankets, kitchenware, pots & pans, utensils, refrigerator and microwave are new.

The location looks into Glacier Park from the front and goes into the National Forest Service in the back.

The house stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The house is a great spot to enjoy the park, but not the crowds. You can do a full circle tour of the park from this location. Two Medicine is very convenient as is the east side of the park from here. There are hiking trails located close to the house, rather inside or outside the park.

West Glacier, East Glacier and surrounding areas can be very hectic, this location is not. In the winter it’s considered very remote. In the summer it’s located conveniently next to Glacier Park. In the spring it’s a unique location to access both the east and west sides of the park especially if the Going to the Sun Road hasn’t opened yet!

- "This cabin was the perfect location for us to land after our many miles hiking and exploring GNP. Because we were centrally located, we were able to visit the south, the east, many glacier and west entrances. If you are not able to stay inside of the park, it’s important to succumb to the reality of driving. The cabin is situated right on the highway which allowed for easy access. We were able to get to trailheads before 8am no problem. The cabin was also very clean, beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was stocked for all our cooking needs. We loved the cabin vibe and the kids loved the game room. The cabin stays cool, no worries in summer months. Also, while the cabin is close to the hiway and that is communicated, I would tell you not to worry about noise. The windows can be shut and it’s hardly noticeable. Bill was also an excellent host. Responses were immediate and kind. He even stocked water for us, which was a bonus. I would recommend this place for sure and would absolutely return!!!"

Step into a luxury barn-wood and turquoise-aspen paneled caboose named for James Jerome Hill, the empire builder behind the Great Northern Railway. These luxury accommodations echo the theme of Great Northern's sleeping cars while taking your comfort to another level. Sleeps up to 4 with queen size beds in the master bedroom and cupola. Appointed kitchen with lotus granite countertop, 4 burner gas stove, oven, refrigerator and microwave. Private bathroom with shower and heated floor.

The JJ caboose creatively blends wood, leather and stone to reflect Montana’s rich flora, fauna and landscape. Walls of turquoise aspen and rustic barn wood, accented with recycled chocolate leather, warmly envelope the soothing leather furnishings.

The bedroom is walled in spalted birch and barn wood, accented with recycled leather. The queen size bed has a denim duvet adorned with a Glacier Park Pendleton and Hudson Bay pillow shams, echoing the theme of Great Northern’s sleeping cars.

The kitchen boasts a full refrigerator, gas range, microwave and copper sink. Lotus granite countertops, glazed hickory cabinetry, and the blue pine eating bar compliment the rich wood interior.

The bathroom and shower are framed by walls of travertine stone accented with green rainforest marble tiles.

J.J.’s cupola has been converted to an upper bunk with a "full" bed, complete with a view of the railroad mainline. It's accessible by a built-in ladder with handrails. It’s finished in blue pine with the same walnut flooring as the rest of the caboose. A Pendleton blanket tops the full size bed. The kids will love sleeping on top of the world!

The barn wood throughout J.J. displays 12 different pieces of antique barbed wire from the late 1800s, when Montana became a state.

- "The caboose was very charming and clean. Too bad construction was still going on for the main Inn. " - "We very much enjoyed our stay in this cool and unique lodging. We were not aware until we arrived that this is part of a new resort—Loge—that is currently being renovated. This place will be even better once that is complete. The trains run close by, which is fun and romantic, but not overly noisy. The west entrance to Glacier is about 30 minutes from here, with it also being a good place to stay if you also want to visit the east side of Glacier. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the kitchen was adequately set up for the basics. The host went above and beyond to help us with getting a memory card for our camera after we realized we forgot it, allowing us to still enjoy our day in the park instead of running errands."

The interior of this historic Great Northern F45 locomotive has been transformed into a luxurious lodging accommodation. It’s a warm, rustic refuge for two couples or a small family, including a full kitchen, living area complete with fireplace, a bathroom w/jetted tub, and master bedroom with king bed. The original locomotive operators cab is retained as a unique lounge area.

The main living area features 400-year-old reclaimed oak floor, wall accents of birch, cedar and cottonwood, a leather comfort sleeper sofa, and a native Montana Argillite stone fireplace with a 46-inch LCD television.

Luxury and comfort abounds in the bathroom. Heated rainforest marble floor . . jetted tub framed by walls of travertine stone . . smoked glass sink on a wrought iron base.

Up front the operator’s cab has been restored to better than new condition providing a unique sitting lounge. Glacier Pines is a small quaint residential neighborhood. River Rock Retreat's backyard connects to the Flathead National Forest. Exploring has no ends. Talk a short hike through nature to see the Flathead river you can hear from the backdoor when opening the double sliding glass doors in the morning.
When and if you adventure away from Modern Cabin Retreat, Lake Five is less than 5 minutes away where you can swim, fish, and boat to your heart's content. Take out the the Kayak down Flathead River. Hikers and mountain bikers will find no better place to explore, as the surrounding area is littered with trails to choose from.

We ask that you follow up the good neighbor policy during your stay being respectful of neighbors in the community and protect the environment.

Guest has sole access main house lodge with private entrance and 3 parking spaces. An individual code will be sent with check in instructions within 24hrs of arrival. Please note that you may pull up your car to unload luggage but will need to be moved to designated parking spaces.

Coming to West Glacier will require a vehicle. There is no public transportation to the retreat. To help with exploring once you arrive at the property, There are 2 E-Bikes for guest use. No additional charge. Perk: Biking into Glacier does NOT require a reserved entry pass!

Enjoy being just a 10 minute drive to West Glacier Entrance at Glacier National Park and West Glacier Golf Course during your stay . The home is also located about 30 minutes or less to the Airport (FCA), White Fish and Kalispell for exploring.

Please note that there are occasionally trains that can be heard in the distance when windows are open from the train line that is approximately a half mile away.

There will be a sampling of coffee and tea for you to enjoy during your stay.

Caretaker quarters is adjacent to main house lodge (separate building). Please note, caretaker may be onsite during your stay. It is our desire to respect our guest privacy, and only be available if needed.

During high risk and restricted fire season, recreation fires are not permitted.

We ask that you adhere to our good neighbor policy. With quiet hours from 10:00pm - 7:00am

Please review our cancellation policy from our rental agreement below as our cancellation policy varies ever so slightly from those on some booking platforms. Our rental agreement is included prior to completing your reservation and will supersede the cancellation policies listed on some booking sites.

Cancellation Policy: We hope you will not need to cancel your time away, but in the event that you do the following terms will apply. If your reservation is cancelled within 48 hours of the reservation being made, there will be no charge. If the reservation is cancelled prior to 30 days before check in, you will receive a full refund MINUS the non-refundable credit card processing fee. If your reservation is cancelled between 7-30 days of check in it will result in a 50% forfeiture of total reservation plus the processing fee. If your reservation is cancelled within 7 days prior to check in it will result in a 100% forfeiture of the total reservation. We recommend securing your trip with a travel insurance company should you need to cancel your reservation outside of the allotted window.

It's a beautiful cabin, the owner built it by himself.Sauna building that has full bathroom and shower is a separate building. The bathroom is not with the bedroom.
The cabin is close to main road and the train tracks. If you are a light sleeper don't book.
It's a perfect location for both exploring East and West Glacier.
There is Wi-Fi.The cabin provides the basic needs for the guests. There is a fire pit, the fire must be monitored all the time and put down completely.

It's located between East and West Glacier. it's 20 minute drive to West Glacier entrance and 30 minute drive to East Glacier village. It's close to the main road, easy to find and rest before exploring the park.

The space
After a busy day exploring beautiful Glacier National Park escape the crowds and get a well-deserved good night’s sleep in our two-story guest house.

Each unit of our two-story guest house has a Keurig Coffee Pot (coffee pods included), Microwave, and Mini Refrigerator/Freezer.

The shared outdoor access kitchen makes preparing meals or packing a sack lunch easy. There is also a barbecue grill and dining table.

A shared laundry room is located on the guesthouse's ground floor.

This area once known as McCarthyville is remote with NO cell service, but we do have WiFi. Due to our remoteness, the wifi could be stronger.

Located on Highway 2 between Glacier National Park and the Great Bear Wilderness. In this area, the railroad tracks that run near the back of our property are considered the southern border of Glacier National Park.

There is a TV and DVD player in the living room. Let us know if you would like to borrow any DVDs from our collection.

Guest access
Please make yourself at home. The private deck is the perfect place to enjoy morning coffee or wind down before a peaceful night's sleep. Enjoy our front meadow or take a walk in the woods. You are welcome to explore the entire property. Please be courteous to other guests and our neighbors. The outdoor access kitchen is located on the lower level of the guest house. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen and laundry room (laundry detergent & fabric softener provided).

There are no gas stations within Glacier’s boundaries, so be sure to gas up before heading into the park. Traveling East: Bear Track Travel Center in East Glacier is a gas station convenience store. Traveling West: there is a gas station in Belton and West Glacier.

Silver Staircase Falls (Silver Stairs) - located between mile markers 188 and 189 on US-2. You can see the Falls from US-2. The waterfall is very unique, and you'll enjoy checking it out even if the water isn't flowing. Silver Staircase Falls is one of Glacier National Park's hidden gems that is often overlooked. It may not seem remarkable when you’re driving by, but if you stop and stay for a while, you’ll see that it’s quite amazing.

Goat Lick - Located along U.S. Highway 2, approximately two miles southeast of the Walton Ranger Station, is an exposed riverbank where mountain goats and other animals come to lick the mineral-laden cliffs. From the parking area, a short paved path leads to an observation stand overlooking the waters of the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. The river's current has cut deeply into the easily eroded soil in this area, creating steep drop-offs and exposing a mass of gray clay containing minerals sought after by mountain goats and other animals.

You have use of the garage and the loft is quite private. Located two miles from the village of West Glacier. Less than 10 minutes to Glacier Park west entrance. Walking distance to Montana Raft Co. About 35 minutes to Glacier International Airport.

The picturesque country style kitchen has marble countertops and rustic wood shelving with all the amenities you could ask for. The large island provides plenty of room for cooking those big family meals as well as provide a gathering area for conversation. The kitchen "nook" seating provide seating for 6 with extra space at the island as needed.

The living room is very comfortable with great views of the 5 acres. The steady WIFI and smart TV will allow you to stream your favorite shows but you may get distracted by the beautiful view looking out the windows. The large sectional couch and his and hers chairs will help you melt your troubles away as you relax at the end of the day in this authentic mountain cabin.

When it’s time to retire for the evening, head upstairs to the 3 wonderful bedrooms in this home. You can play a game with the kids or friends and see if they can "find" the master bedroom as the door can be a bit tricky to find (see pictures). The master bedroom has a large king bed with a full bath, including a large walk in shower and laundry facility. The 2nd and 3rd bedroom each have a queen sized bed and share the full bathroom in the hallway. All 3 bedrooms have air conditioning for those warm summer days.

Rustic Log Cabin look but with modern lifestyle feel......this unit will accommodate all your GNP vacation adventures.

Please note that this is a big house with three levels and many rooms, two Airbnb units are setup in this property. The Old Brown 2-bedroom unit which occupies the 1st level and part of the 2nd level; and the Upper Brown 2-bedroom unit which occupies part of the 3rd level. These two detached units are separated by other bedrooms, storage rooms and a 3-car garage, and each unit has its own private entry, private deck and private parking. Therefore, there is no need to worry about any disturbances between the two units.

Think Cleaning Fee is too high? Here is an opportunity to earn some money back by doing this prior to your check-out.

1. Receive up to a $20 refund if kitchen is cleaned to the check-in condition.

Our home is located across the river from Glacier National Park and the Glacier View Golf Course in West Glacier. Plan your day hiking, river rafting, fishing or golfing all just a throw stone away. Renovated and cozy little 60's cabin right across the river from Glacier National Park only a 24 miles to West Glacier and 35 miles to East Glacier Park. Perfect base camp for exploring either side of the park or just taking some time to relax in nature and away from it all.
The Issac Walton Hotel is just down the Highway and there are plenty of great hiking trails with scenic views nearby and away from the crowds.

Fast Wi Fi so you can make phone calls and work remotely if you need.

The space
We spent 3 months renovating the cabin in the fall of 2021 and turned it inside out. New floors throughout, new drywall, kitchen countertop/ sink/ faucet, new interior paint, upgraded electrical and tons of other odds and ends. Its such a great space to hang out in now. Board games are encouraged!

We have a large bedroom with a queen bed and a few pieces of furniture for storing all of your clothes.

The living room is cozy with a comfy couch that pulls out into a queen sleeper.

Kitchen is right off of the living room and completely new. Full size electric stove and full size fridge in the pantry. No dishwasher.

We have a screened in front porch where you are definitely going to want to enjoy your coffee. Its such a great spot and keeps the bugs away.

The only things which we did not renovate were the bathroom and the windows.

The bathroom is this cool little retro blast from the past - wallpaper and all - that is super clean so we left it for the time being.

The windows are these awesome 60's single pane windows but a handful of them have small hairline fractures in them with some clear tape to stabilize them. It's nothing structural, just a slight eye sore that is hardly noticeable.

Guest access
We do have pull down stairs to access the attic but we ask that you do not use them. Its just storage up there. The ground floor is all yours.
The shed on the property is locked and not accessible.

The space
Experience sleeping outdoors in our newly remodeled screened porch. The Pine Porch room has a queen bed and two twin beds with its own private bath located right outside the room.

This room is located on a back deck and has shutter blinds that open to enjoy a beautiful view. They are operated with a simple switch and can be closed when you prefer more privacy.

Inside each bed and breakfast room at Moose Creek RV Resort, you’ll find a beautifully updated space designed for comfort and relaxation.

The completely remodeled bathroom offers a touch of luxury, with walk-in tiled showers, new vanities, and modern fixtures.

This large bathroom is private for guests of The Pine Porch. *The bathroom is located just steps outside of the Pine Porch in the hallway of the bed and breakfast. It is NOT a shared bathroom, it is private only to you, but is not located in the room*

This room can get chilly in late spring and fall, so we have equipped the room with a cozy electric fireplace and extra blankets are provided. A portable air conditioner is also available upon request.

Please note that guests can sometimes hear noise from the train.


The majority of our rooms are located on the second floor (including this one) and guests must be able to climb a flight of stairs. Please call if you require a main floor/handicap room.

Guest access
As a guest at Moose Creek, you'll enjoy full access to all of our common areas, beautiful grounds, and top-notch amenities.

Bed and Breakfast guests have access to a beautifully remodeled common living-room with a cozy fireplace and an attached kitchenette with microwave, sink and refrigerator.

An enclosed back porch with comfortable outdoor seating and picnic table is also available for bed and breakfast guests only!

Stay active in our on-site gym, relax in the sauna, or charge your electric vehicle at our convenient charging station. We also offer a coin-operated laundromat for your convenience.

Moose Creek also has electric bike rentals!

Our exterior property features several welcoming common areas in addition to the private back porch, including an outdoor patio lounge and a cozy community firepit — perfect for gathering and making memories.

There’s plenty of fun for kids too, with basketball, badminton, volleyball, and ping pong available right in the park.

Guests can start their morning with a full, dine-in breakfast which is complimentary for our bed and breakfast guests. Breakfast is served daily from 7:00–8:30 AM. If dining in isn’t on your agenda, grab a quick "take-and-go" option if you're on the move. Plus, be sure to visit our Sweets and Espresso Café for delicious treats and expertly crafted coffee drinks.

The property is located just 2 miles from the entrance of west entrance of GNP. The home is located in a quiet secluded area surrounded by nature and local wildlife. Enjoy the piece and quiet Montana has to offer. The home is a loft style home with one queen bedroom downstairs, open floor plan with kitchen, dining & living area. The second bedroom is a loft style with one queen bed and one twin bed. A great home base for all your GNP adventures. Public Lake Access only a mile away.

The house is a two bedroom with one bath, full kitchen and dining area. The upstairs bedroom with king bed is an open loft area with a single twin bed if needed. The main bedroom on the first floor is a queen size.

Welcoming one-bedroom guest suite with a private entry, located only two miles from the west entrance of Glacier National Park. The guest suite is on the lower level of a newly built, custom home on a quiet road, easily accessed from US Highway 2. All West Glacier gateway community amenities are within a short drive, bike ride or walk. The onsite host/homeowner lives on a separate level. Save your check in instructions immediately after booking, there is no cell service in West Glacier mountains. Check in instructions will be sent in the ARIBNB App and will have our wifi information and more so your check in runs smoothly.

Check in is anytime after 3pm, anything after 10pm there will be no onsite staff to assist.

Any late unauthorized checkouts past 10am will be automatically charged a late check out fee of $75

We are in the middle of nature, by booking with us you acknowledge there are various small wildlife on the property. Please ensure to lock up your food and not leave your door open to avoid any critters bunking up with you :)

If you need anything at all, from extra blankets, more towels please just let our staff know. We are a family run business and pride ourselves on happy guests!

We offer our guests two upstairs bedrooms, bathroom and sitting room. Our downstairs living room, kitchen, and dining area are shared with us (owners). You may use the kitchen to prepare your own meals to eat outside or inside!

We are located two miles from the west entrance to Glacier National Park. The road in front of our house is the bike path that runs from Hungry Horse to the Park. Montana Raft Company & Glacier Guides is directly across the street.

The space
We have a large front lawn and plenty of parking space in driveway. The upstairs of the house is where your bedroom, a sitting room with picture windows and a bathroom are located. You are welcome to join the owners downstairs in the kitchen, dining room and living room if you so desire! We'd love to give you 'local tips' about the area.

Guest access
Driving directions to Glacier National Park from our house is easy - the entrance to the Park is only 2 miles away with only 3 left turns!

During your stay
We love to offer information about the area to our guests. We communicate with guests prior to and during their stay with us. Feel free to ask us questions at any time!

Other things to note
If you plan a winter vacation, we are only 30 miles from Whitefish which offers a ski resort on Whitefish Mountain. Travel time to the mountain would be approximately 45 minutes to an hour.

Essex is a remote mountain community along the Middle Fork of the Flathead River between Glacier National Park and the Great Bear Wilderness. In the summer you'll find an abundance of fishing, hiking and rafting in the beautiful mountain terrain and rivers surrounding the location. Winter is a wonderland of groomed trails for cross-country skiing, snow shoeing and snowmobiling. Perfect place for your next mountain getaway.
