It is in the basement of a "mixed-use" building with a dental office on the main floor and an architectural firm on the top floor. The dental office is open Monday-Friday (7:00 am - 5:00 pm). You will hear noises from the dental office during this time. Nothing too loud. I provide white noise machines and earplugs in all of my apartments if this is an issue for you. However, you will find it to be cozy, complete, and very clean. In the beginning of June 2016 it underwent a new remodel including new flooring, paint, artwork, and an extremely comfortable new queen mattress which is replaced every 2 years. The small bathroom does have a full tub\shower with unlimited hot water. This unit is professionally cleaned by a local cleaning service and is well-maintained.

As the photos illustrate there are 2 large windows (with no views however) giving plenty of light. It is nothing like a traditional cold, dark, and dingy basement. Enjoy feet-warming heated floors. AC is not included, but rarely needed. It does come with a nice fan to circulate air and create "white noise" if desired.
The kitchen area is complete with a full-size stove and fridge. It has a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and everything you need to create your favorite meal (pots, pans, and cooking utensils).

Parking: For those of you who have driven to Jackson before, know that parking close to downtown can be a challenge and a real headache. Problem solved! There is free parking in the parking lot behind the building so you can leave your vehicle in a safe location as you stroll on foot around Jackson. Regular sized vehicles only- no trailers. Upon your stay, you will quickly recognize the value of this coveted downtown parking. If you do not have a car this apartment is close to the bus stop and taxi station. Again, this unit is ideal for those wanting to walk and enjoy downtown Jackson.

With only a 1 block stroll to town square you will find yourself surrounded in all the excitement including fine dining, an explosion of art galleries, old western antiques and relics, shopping, and a fascinating Wild West history.

Overview:
This darling miniature basement studio apartment in the heart of downtown is VERY SMALL with only 400 sq. feet. It is in the basement of a "mixed-use" building with a dental office on the main floor and an architectural firm on the top floor. The dental office is open Monday-Friday (7:00 am - 5:00 pm). You will hear noises from the dental office during this time. Nothing too loud. I provide white noise machines and earplugs in all of my apartments if this is an issue for you. However, you will find it to be cozy, complete, and very clean. In the beginning of May 2017 it underwent a new remodel including new flooring, paint, artwork, and an extremely comfortable new queen mattress which is replaced every 2 years. The small bathroom does have a full tub\shower with unlimited hot water. This unit is professionally cleaned by a local cleaning service and is well-maintained.

As the photos illustrate there are 3 windows (with no views however) giving plenty of light. It is nothing like a traditional cold, dark, and dingy basement. Enjoy feet-warming heated floors. AC is not included, but rarely needed. It does come with a nice fan to circulate air and create "white noise" if desired.
The kitchen area is complete with a full-size stove and fridge. It has a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and everything you need to create your favorite meal (pots, pans, and cooking utensils). It does not have a dishwasher.

Parking: For those of you who have driven to Jackson before, know that parking close to downtown can be a challenge and a real headache. There is free parking in the parking lot behind the building so you can leave your vehicle in a safe location as you stroll on foot around Jackson. Regular sized vehicles only- no trailers. Upon your stay, you will quickly recognize the value of this coveted downtown parking. If you do not have a car this apartment is close to the bus stop and taxi station. Again, this unit is ideal for those wanting to walk and enjoy downtown Jackson.

Yummy: I hope you will take advantage of our local favorite "Persephone" bakery shop one-half block away. The luring aroma of their exquisite pastries and treats will leave you anticipating your return. Their delightful breakfast is a great way to start the day.
There is a plethora of fine dining and wonderful restaurants within short walking distance.

This gorgeous upstairs Mid-Century Mod apartment offers a separate entrance, great East facing windows, hardwood floors, and incredibly convenient location in the heart of Driggs. Bedroom 1 offers two twin beds (which could be moved to create a king) with closet, clock and luggage rack.

Built in 2009, Thistle Dew Guest House is a post and beam beauty with wood floors, large windows, comfortable beds and a huge deck for enjoying life. There is a stair way (13 steps) leading up to the apartment from the outside or the garage. The kitchen is fully outfitted right down to the spices. The living room has wood floors and large windows for enjoying the views of the Grand, the Middle and the South Teton and the backside of Grand Teton National Park.
The master bedroom has a very comfortable queen bed and the second bedroom has a comfortable Murphy Bed with a queen mattress When not in use the bed can be lifted up into the wall unit and the room turns into an office space complete with a large desk. The living area has a TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime. There is wi-fi throughout the guest house. Ski storage is in the entry on the main level.
Right off the deck is a hot tub with a view of the Tetons.
The sauna was built in the Swedish style with interior rock walls and steaming wood stove. The sauna is shared with Thistledew cabin (separate home on the property).
There is a private fire pit for roasting marshmallows and telling stories close to the guest house.
The guesthouse hot tub is only for the guest house. It is accessed off the deck down the stairs. It is situated so it has a beautiful view of the Tetons.
The kids bunkhouse is a great space for kids to play or teenagers to hang out in their own space.
Thistle Dew Guest House sits in the middle of 80 secluded acres surrounded by gorgeous mountain views and alfalfa hay farms. Access is from a paved road 5 miles North of Driggs, Idaho. The guest house is available all year round so our guests can enjoy all the seasons of this spectacular area.
Thistle Dew Cabin shares the property. Although visible from the shared driveway, the cabin and guest house are totally separate; each with their own entrance, yard, hot tub, firepit and indoor space but sharing the same view.
In the summer you can be adventurous and hike (or horse back ride) the many trails connecting the foothills to Grand Teton National Park or go fishing on some of the West's premier fishing rivers. All are within a few miles of Thistle Dew Guest House. You can easily explore the wonders of Yellowstone National Park (only 90 miles north) or Grand Teton National Park (75 minutes East in Wyoming). Jackson Hole, Wyoming is 60 minutes away with some great shopping, excellent music from the Summer Music Festival and diverse restaurants. There are 3 world class fishing rivers within an hour of Thistledew Guest house. Plus the Teton River (15 minutes away) is also a great place to float with tubes or SUP.
In winter, after a day of powder skiing Grand Targhee Ski area, (most winters have over 600 inches of snow) come home to your comfortable apartment and enjoy a barbecue. Or appreciate the convenience of a day of cross country skiing the trails of Jedediah Smith Wilderness within a couple of miles from your mountain retreat. Snowmobiling is offered in the Big Hole mountains to the west of the guest house or an hour north in Island Park.
The town of Driggs is 5 miles down a good paved road. Driggs is the outdoor adventure capital of the area. It boasts great stores, wonderful restaurants and a modern, full service grocery store. Farmer's Markets (Friday mornings except winter) , a balloon festival, scenic running, bike, and ski trails, Friday night rodeo action, Music on Main, and winter snow sculptures all make the town of Driggs a fun place to visit.

The bed was so comfortable that it was hard to get out of in the morning! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. There was laundry detergent for the washing machine. • Please park in the two gravel parking spots behind the house. Winter parking rules are in effect from Nov. 15 - April 1. If you are staying in our home between those dates, you cannot park in front of the house overnight.
• There is a Level 2 EV charger on the back of the home with a J1772 charging plug.

Clean property and good support from the property management staff." - "It was a little disappointing with lock on the door because it kept getting jammed. We sometimes had to stand there and try it several times I had to make several calls to the property management several times but the problem was not really fixed. The second night there we could not lock the door when we got back and called three numbers and had to wait a while to get a callback and even after that and someone coming out to look at it the next day we still had to deal with it it was kind of touch and go."

You will only be one block from Main St. in Victor, where you can walk to restaurants, the market and grab some coffee. Victor is the epitome of small town living. I live next door and am here to help you with any of your needs.

The apartment has been nicknamed the "tower" due to its big south facing windows which look out to the mountains. Its high ceilings and light make for a very comfortable and warm space. Enjoy the large screen TV and comfy couch after a day of adventures in the mountains. And get a good night sleep on the super comfortable bed!

You will find everything you need in the apartment, including all cook's tools (blender, coffee maker, french press, toaster oven, etc).

You will have access to everything in the apartment. I can arrange for space in the shed for your skis or bikes should you need it. There are two parking spaces in the driveway for your use.

I have lived in the area since 2002 and can help you plan any sort of adventure. I have worked as outdoor professional for most of my life and can help arrange any sort of adventure you are interested in. Teton Valley is a great place to bike, hike, fish, climb and enjoy live music. There are great restaurants here in Victor as well as in Jackson and we'll surely share our favorites! I have two 10 y/o Brittanys, who are very friendly. There is an E-fence in the yard, so you will most likely meet them. They like to bark and make noise when they get excited but are very loving and will likely want to get a good pet from you!

This is a spacious garage apartment with a private entrance. We are a dog friendly rental. The space is well appointed with a queen bed in the bedroom and queen futon in the common area. Moose and deer visit regularly. The beautiful sounds of Sand Hill Cranes, Coyotes and our neighborhood resident Great Horned Owls are just a few of the wildlife we frequently hear from our property.

The garage apartment is your private space during your stay. We leave the place unlocked for your arrival. Feel free to leave doors unlocked during your stay. Keys are available in the basket on the table if desired. Please replace immediately if used. There are Adirondack chairs out back for your use. Well behaved and socialized dogs are welcome. Supervised dogs that will not harass wildlife or farm animals are welcome to enjoy our large open space. You must pick up after your pet.
