The owner, Tony, has provided boogie boards, water noodles and snorkeling gear. Stores, restaurants and spa are within walking distance. At the end of Wyllie Road is a trail down to Anini Beach to get to the beach on foot, and you are only 10 minutes away from Hanalei Bay. You are in the center of the North Shore's many beaches to the East and West of you. Princeville features many walking trails, great views, restaurants, shops, golf and tennis. Even if you don't golf, you can take a sunset view tour of the most gorgeous settings on golf carts complete with a bar and goodies. Hoku Lani is a great place to relax at night too. GETTING AROUND:
Unless you’re on a fairly leisurely schedule, you’ll need a car or other motorized vehicle to see and do everything on Kauai, which has one major road—one lane in each direction, in most places—that rings the island except along the Napali Coast. During rush hour, from about 6 to 9am and 3 to 6pm, the road between Lihue and Kapaa—the central business district—can turn into a giant parking lot, even with a third, “contra-flow” lane whose direction is determined by time of day. Bypass roads in Kipu (when heading north from Poipu) and Kapaa (when heading south) can alleviate some of the stress, but plan accordingly.

Note: The top speed is 50mph, with many slower sections in residential and business areas. Addresses in this chapter will use Kaumualii Highway (Hwy. 50) and Kuhio Highway (Hwy. 56/560), following local convention. Since highway addresses can be hard to spot (if marked at all), directions may be given with mile marker numbers, cross streets, and/or the descriptors mauka (toward the mountains) and makai (toward the sea).

This recently updated, air conditioned studio condo features a comfortable king size bed beneath a Koa wood ceiling fan, which looks out onto your private lanai. This is an end unit with windows on the side with views of the mountains, as well as the bay and Bali Hai. A twin sized sofa sleeper allows for a third guest. Kitchenette features a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, teapot, glasses, dishes, and silverware. The resort has washers and dryers located within steps of this unit.

The neighbourhood is great, and the location in Princeville is a short 10 minute walk to Foodland for groceries, and to local restaurants. There is an artisan market there on the weekends. And it is a short drive into Hanalei for more shopping, dining, and beaches. Christine, the owner, and Sophia, the property manager, were very helpful, great to deal with, and always responded promptly. We wish the pool was heated, as it certainly was "refreshing" during our February stay. We did have some minor issues, but Sophia took care of them promptly. - "We loved our stay at Pale Blue Hawaii. Everything about this property was exceptional! It was clean and well-appointed and perfect size and spacious for our family of four. Well-stocked kitchen. Great outdoor access with various patios and balconies. It's close to the community pool which is a great place to hang out after a day's activities and meet people. The property management company was very responsive. When the coffee maker broke, they delivered a new one the same day, and they were friendly and easy to work with. The price here is very reasonable too. The location is great - very central to all the northside attractions - beaches, Hanalei and Kilauea towns, hiking, etc. (e.g. short 10 minute drives, not walking distance) One thing that's not highlighted by the listing is that you can take a short hike downhill to Anini Beach which is peaceful, beautiful, and wonderful place to swim and snorkel. Hanalei Bay Villas are located on a bluff with incredible mountain and ocean views and just a short walk away from the new 1 Hanalei Bay Hotel. Villa #34 has been completely remodeled and designed in cool neutral tones with a clean modern vibe. All new, high end kitchen, bathrooms, tile floors throughout, ceiling fans, and two view lanais.

From this Princeville location you are only a few minutes drive away from Hanalei Bay and everything Hanalei town has to offer. Hideaways lookout and beach is across the street but only safe in the summer months when the surf is down and the ocean is flat. The sunsets from this location are epic! The new 1 Hanalei Bay Hotel, due to open March 2023, also has beach access that is within walking distance.

This 2 story villa is perfect for 2-4 people and may not be suitable for young children due to the height of the lanais on the hillside. The two bedrooms are located on the lower level. There is a king ensuite primary bedroom and a queen guest bedroom and additional bathroom with shower in the hallway. Full size laundry and all household supplies are included with this rental. The beauty and elegance of this property begins the moment you step out of your car. Venture along a set of pavers through a vibrant garden to the front door. You've arrived in paradise. The house is a spacious one bedroom with two full baths. The living room is surrounded by windows capturing the beautiful Hanalei Mountains - including our namesake, Hihimanu. Hihimanu roughly translates to mean Elegant Bird, referencing the Hawaiian manta ray, seen in the twin peaks at the top of the ridge.

Golfers are only a mile away from the start of the Makai Course while spa enthusiasts are also only a mile from the spa and dining at the Princeville Resort. Take a day to head into Hanalei where the Bay is a magnificent beach, the town has lots of shopping and dining options, and the four mile drive down is as majestic as the destination. If you are looking for daytime activities, head a few miles south on Kuhio Highway to the Princeville Ranch where you can schedule horseback rides, ATV excursions, and even go zip-lining!
