The Space:
The historic Bungalow, the original tiny house of 700 square feet area of space is ample for up to 4 guests. Again, fully renovated for modern convenience but keeping all historic charm intact. The bungalow has one-bedroom, walk-in closet, one bath (Jack and Jill) with a claw foot tub, large eat in kitchen, laundry/pantry room and a cozy comfortable living room. A private outdoor area with seating is available for your use. There is other outdoor seating for larger groups. Stylish furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen await to show off your culinary talent. The porch, deck or front steps of the property is a wonderful place for you to hang out and watch the sunset over the Napa River, it is quite stunning.

There are dedicated AC window units in both the living room and the bedroom. The Bungalows have heating and cooling, unlike some Victorians.

The Neighborhood:
The historic St. Vincent district is peppered with beautiful historic Victorians, including one famous Julia Morgan building. The Boutique Bungalows were part of the worker housing for the Mare Island Shipyard. It is vintage and charming to boot. All Bungalows were renovated for modern convenience but keeping its character in tact. Live in history and try out these original tiny houses! A quick walk down to the Ferry Terminal with service to San Francisco and the SF Giants Ballpark, Saturday Farmers Market, numerous waterfront restaurants & bars, walkways, and nature trails. Walking distance is Mare Island with its outdoor Breweries, wine tasting rooms, and historical shipyard and officers mansions worth taking a tour. The ferry ride across the Bay is an absolute treat in itself. Leave your car and hop on a Ferry; for couples, it is a much better way to visit San Francisco. Vallejo is famous for its waterfront festivals(Pirates, Vintage Car Shows ++), Sear Point Raceway, Six Flags Amusement Park, and a gateway to this beautiful Bay Area. Treat Bungalows as your jumping-off point to Marin, East Bay, San Francisco, and VA hospitals in Fairfield. Only a short ride to the world-famous wineries and San Pablo Bay Wildlife Sanctuary for fantastic bird watching. And for trivia, Vallejo was the original capital of California!

Getting Around:
Centrally located, Vallejo is an excellent hub for your Bay Area attractions with easy access to Sonoma/Napa wineries, North and East Bays, and San Francisco. You have quick access to major highways via HWY 37, Interstate 80, Interstate 780, and direct ferry services. You could forgo a car if you opt to. I would recommend renting a car for families and people who wait 5 minutes for the nearest parking spot kind of person.

Bungalows are accessible via automobile, ferry, Bart, Bus, and Uber/Lyft.

Note: Even though Bungalows are located walkable distance to major transit options, I recommend having a car for grocery shopping and other site seeing in those days you need to rent cars. If you are a family of three and above, renting a car is highly recommended.

Other Things to Note:
FREE Parking: There is plenty of unrestricted street parking immediately in front of Bungalows. There are no parking rules: unlike any other cities in the Bay Area.

FREE WIFI: Fast Xfinity/Comcast Wi-Fi for guests: 225 MPS speed.

Sofa Bed: Please inform us of any two-guest reservation that requires sofa bedding. Sofa bedding comes automatically for three + guests. For two guests not using the main bed together, please inform us.

Sofa Mattress: 4" thick memory foam bed for comfort.

Pack and Play: If you need the pack and play, for children under 36" tall, please inform us no later than 72 hours (about 3 days) before check-in. Booking time is the best for asking for the pack and play. If you forget, I must charge $25 for the setup fee.

Bedding/Linens: I am a linen snob. Nothing in our Bungalows is polyester or microfiber. All 100% cotton single ply long staple yarns for bed sheets and 100% cotton turkish towels only.

Cleanliness is Godliness: Cleanliness is the top priority of other premium features we provide. IE luxurious bathrobes. Our cleaning fees reflect living wages for our hard-working cleaners creating jobs for locals.

Contact less Checkin and Checkout: So easy! The door code is your last four digit of your phone number activates at agreed checkin time and deactivates 11:30 AM checkout date.

Checkout Instructions: We do not ask guests to conduct laundry list of chores before they leave! We are easing COVID rules, and all guests must do is put away dirty dishes or soak dirty pans. This is if you used them at all. This is to aid cleaners for a quick turnaround so other guests can check-in earlier if necessary.

Bungalows: Bungalow one is styled mid-century modern,
Bungalow two is French Cottage, and Bungalow three is French Provence.
They are separate freestanding little houses on one large lot with ample outdoor space in between. Located on the hill overlooking the Bay, it provides relaxing views, but you need to climb stairs.

Quiet and Peace: Many guests cannot believe how peaceful and quiet our neighborhood is. So close to the Marina but far away enough for any traffic noise or commercial traffic.

Interaction with Guests:
I am available for any questions as they arise. There is also a guest information manual in the home, listing attractions in the area. I live near by where I can be available for any emergencies.

That being said, she was incredibly helpful and we needed the orientation to the specialty features such as how to turn on the jets, and work the treadmill. She even helped me buff out a little ding I caused on the rental car! I am so VERY GLAD we chose this site. We were here for 9 nights/10 days while our youngest son got married. His siblings and their families stayed with us at the "Little Castle" and we all said it was PERFECT! I especially appreciated the large, well-stocked kitchen with commercial pans and cooking utensils, the luxurious linens and the abundant and generously-sized towels in the baths and around the pool. Even with our large group (13 at times), there was plenty for all. The pool was always clean and adequately supplied with everything the kids needed and they took full advantage of it .everyday except the day of the wedding. The gardens were beautiful and worth exploring. The family enjoyed croquet and we even hosted a brunch the day after the wedding where we had 13 more guests stop in to enjoy the yard and buffet. Everyone thought it was lovely. The antiques are fantastic, but the home is still comfortable for living! She even had a little chest of Legos in the boy's bedroom. Leslie was very gracious about our departure time, since no one else was checking in that afternoon."

* This home was originally built with a very narrow driveway and it quite small for the modern car. We prefer to treat this as a walk way to the backyard but if you feel inclined to park here, please watch out not to bang your door on the bricks or rocks that parallel it.

* Street Parking only.

- Guests will have the entirety of Unit-A at their disposal as well as the front yard and park across the street.

- Keyless door entry means you can come and go as you please in private. Each guest will be provided their own unique access code.

- There is plenty of free street parking in front or very close to entrance.

It fit our needs perfectly and the house was stocked with all the plate ware and utensils you would need. The ONLY negative, which our hosts had no control over, is that the neighborhood is not the safest feeling. I would not recommend walking around at night in this area. Other than that, this was a great home and our hosts were responsive and wonderful!"

After 2 years of the biggest labor of love of my life, I have finally finished structurally retrofitting this 100 year old house (built in 1924) and adding a whole NEW apartment to the lower level of my home. If I do say so myself, it is a stunning, magical and comfortable space designed in a Moroccan/Turkish themed space. Each piece, material and layout is completely bespoke. You will enjoy a very unique stay.

Inside the apartment, you will find a colorful and unique space to relax in. This includes a kitchenette set up with a coffee maker, electric kettle, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, cutting boards, dishes, glasses, and utensils like flatware, wine & can opener, cheese grater etc. It does not have a stove or hot plate. The first 5 guests will receive an additional and delicious amenity.

There is Wifi via fiber internet and a smart TV in the comfortable living room. The expandable dining table offers a space to work from home.

The beds are memory foam and plush (even the murphy bed). There is room for storage of clothes and a space to hang them up.

The bathroom shower is something to be seen and experienced in person (which I designed and tiled myself).

You will have the whole lower level to yourself including a private patio. I am a professional landscape architect so designing my own garden was a given. It was newly installed as of October 2024.

There are a few outdoor cats that lounge around in the back yard. They are all very chill and one in particular is very friendly.

While Vallejo might not be as typically sought after as Napa or SF, it is very central to both and can offer charming local food, drinks, and nearby sights and activities. The apartment is a 4 minute drive to the ferry that takes you straight in to the city and a 20-25 minute drive in to Napa. I lived in SF for 8 years so I can offer some suggestions there if you'd like. Vallejo has a lot of history and culture and is also home to the Bay Area artist E-40 who grew up a few blocks away.

- "The house is located in a friendly neighborhood with neighbors who take an active interest and offer help in many ways PLUS they deliver dessert to the front door. Our difficult situation was that the kitchen sink which plugged and rendered the kitchen unusable for four days of our month long stay and it took a cadre of plumbers to solve the problem. But, the property manager was double great, offered a reasonable inconvenience discount and would wave part of our fee for a 2025 stay thereby, turning a bad situation into a double win for everyone. Vallejo is a town in the process of discovering itself again. Two local restaurants you should frequent: Provisions in downtown and the Sardine Can by the Coast Guard Station. And, a big plus is that from Vallejo seniors can ferry to SF for $4.60; an hour trip with a gorgeous Bay view."

The space
The Master's Bed and Bath Guest Suite has an en suite bathroom and features the following: Off-street parking, a mounted flat screen roku tv, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dining table and chairs, a very comfortable queen sized bed, wireless internet and a closet for your luggage's and clothes. Enjoy the fresh air in the private deck just outside your front door. The gated entrance has a paved pathway that leads to the small staircase going to the private guest room. If you'd like to take a walk outside, our place is just few blocks away to stores, restaurants and cafe.

It is a private guest room attached to the main house and that privately separated by a wall.

You will be staying in a private room that has its own entrance and no access to the main house, a studio-like unit that includes private bathroom, exclusive private deck and no kitchen. Also comes with one off-street parking space and on-street parking is available if you have more than one car.
Other things to note
This is an in-law guest suite meaning that it's attached to the main house, we did our best to make this room sound proof however you may still hear brief normal daily noise such as footsteps, toilet flashing, showering, etc. from other guests in the main house.
As noted above this private bedroom does NOT have a kitchen. The Red Gate is an upscale studio apartment with combination lock for easy check-in. Inside are 2 large rooms, leather sofas, 65 inch TV, full kitchen with microwave/convection oven, fireplace, washer/dryer, private outside courtyard with seating area and barbecue. It sits in a lovely, quiet cul-de sac. The entire downstairs apartment is separate and totally private with no access to or from the upstairs unit.
Avoid the Bay area traffic, leave your car at home, and head to the ferry (7 minutes from here) to San Francisco or drive 13 miles to Napa or 17 miles to Sonoma. Nearby flat walking trails or be brave and try the hill outside our door.

It's fully furnished & once you express interest, I will email you a folder of pictures so you can see it's tastefully done. This home has stunning views overlooking the Napa River, San Pablo Bay, Mare Island & Mount Tamalpais. You can even see the arches of the Golden Gate Bridge from the deck & great room at the rear of the home on clear days. The price & property includes high-speed internet, Ring security cameras, trash, water and all other utilities. This home sits on a beautiful 10,000 square foot lot with a fire pit, deck & a fully fenced-in yard for any pets you may have. In the front of the property, there are a total of 3 designated parking spots in the 2 driveways, plus street parking for another vehicle, if needed. The room is comfortable, full of light, and right next to your bathroom. I've been asked before, so I've decided to include the answer here: No there is no desk/workspace.

In general, the house’s open-concept common areas are nicely appointed and I keep a very clean house. The dining table gets morning sun, and the kitchen has every appliance you can imagine.

No additional costs/fees, but I don't allow pets and the house isn't kid particularly friendly.

The washer and dryer are located in the laundry room just off the well-appointed kitchen.

My office is in the middle of the house. I work from home so I can be found behind my desk from 7 am to 4 pm most weekdays. As previously mentioned, there's no desk or workspace in the room. My hope is to provide a safe, clean space to rest between your adventures outside of the house. I'd prefer not to host guests who will be "#wfh".

My first guest brought with them the realization that my home is not ADA friendly. There are three short stairs and a long walk (see primary photo) from the street to the front door. Also, I do not have safety railings in the bathroom or tub. I'm more than happy to host you, but it is important to me that we discuss these (potential) drawbacks before you book your stay.

Lights:
Please turn off ALL lights anywhere in the home if you are not immediately using them. We ask that you do not keep lights on overnight.

If lights are left on (inactive) for more than 5mins host will turn them off for you (we understand you may forget)

Rooms:

Be mindful of your noise level after 10pm
We need to ensure everyone is able to enjoy a good night's rest
Since we have a wide variety of professionals in the home
(working overnight/9-5 or vice versa)
Be aware of your personal noises on your persons/devices (use headphones during the day/night and keep your voices at an appropriate level)

Long Term Guest: Be mindful we are not responsible for your belongings. Keep all personal items in the space provided or in your car. We have closet space and drawers underneath beds.

Keep luggage/suitcases in closets and be sure to keep a path to beds CLEAR at all times.

Laundry Service is available for a fee if needed for dirty clothes

Lights:
Please turn off ALL lights anywhere in the home if you are not immediately using them. We ask that you do not keep lights on overnight.

If lights are left on (inactive) for more than 5mins host will turn them off for you (we understand you may forget)

Be mindful of your noise level after 10pm
We need to ensure everyone is able to enjoy a good night's rest
Since we have a wide variety of professionals in the home
(working overnight/9-5 or vice versa)
Be aware of your personal noises on your persons/devices (use headphones during the day/night and keep your voices at an appropriate level)

Long Term Guest: Be mindful we are not responsible for your belongings. Keep all personal items in the space provided or in your car. We have closet space and drawers underneath beds.

Keep luggage/suitcases in closets and be sure to keep a path to beds CLEAR at all times.

Laundry Service is available for a fee if needed for dirty clothes
(ask for a bag to keep out of sight).

Your room key will be either in a lockbox, in your room waiting for you, or given to you by the host.
You have booked a private room but still must share the bathroom. Make sure to understand this prior to booking.
Keep all personal toiletries with you at all times.

If you cook, please wipe down all areas used
Mark all foods (dry storage and fridge)
You have all access to anything labeled

Since the sofa is offered as a listing be mindful if a guest has booked it
Keep the TV volume down after 10pm

We love our home! My husband is an artist, so the walls are filled with beautiful original works of art. We both love to work on the landscaping while the decor is my thing. Together with our two lovable pups, we've created a space that is comfortable and welcoming.

The difference in our property is, we are not a little house, we are a huge two story property with massage , v-steam, healthy food / vegan ice cream , spots team office. We are self help information services at 2ed floor residential with a private one bed ‘studios. Plus 4 bed rooms penhouse. And 6 other private studios. Quite, secured, with 12000 Sq ft gated parking lot. All guest must booked here to park in our lot. We have 3 different sets of security cameras to protect your safety in our property. We do not allow pets from our allergy, sorry for that. In this case, all guest can relax to stay in clean living and quiet setting in our property. We use all digit key code locks in each doors here, any guest checked out, the codes will be deliet for each guest safety. Any guest think they can sneak people in our property, will be surprised to be caught. We do not tolerate any house rules broken by any guest. If so, will be canceled within 24 hours and risk losing security deposit. And no refund on any un used dates. Please read house rules. Carefully. We are not here to force you to stay but we will force you to leave at once if you broke any house rules . Feel free to search better fit, our policy is stay firm.
The location is well centered in Vallejo and easy walking distance to best sea food mart( they do cook fish for you too. ), grocery store, best taco truck, and healthy plant based Resturant, Gas station, DMV, tire shop, auto shop. Best commute car pool station to San Francisco. Big flag, winery, hiking, golf, hiking, ferry Comunication between SF, and Novato. 30 minutes drive to Napa winery. Warm weather then San Francisco. Vallejo was a capitol of Califonia too.
A greater gate way to Sacramento, in Bay Area, it was a sleeping city hiding away from Bay Area. Much quieter city then many cities.

The space
The guest bedroom shares some common walls with the rest of the house. It is fully separate and private, but I ask guests to observe quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am.
The property is fully fenced, so the door of your private room is secure at the back of the house. One gets to the private entrance to the guest room first through the gate into the property, then across the side yard, and finally through the deck at the back of the house. The entry is a French door secured with a smart lock.
Please note: there are two flights of steps to get to the door - 3 steps down to the back yard and then 5 steps up the stairs to the French door.
The property houses a detached casita with its own private space. The side yard is a shared between the main house and the casita.

Guest access
The guest suite is the one area fully dedicated to guests. Entrance is via the French door on the back of the house. You are welcome to use a part of the deck that is separated by a screen from the rest of the deck area.
From the deck, you will see the back yard with some fruit trees and veggie beds. I respectfully request that guests not walk there for safety reasons (there are garden tools, hoses, and other tripping hazards).
There is a small studio on the property that houses its own tenants. The studio has its own back patio. The side yard is the shared pass-through area. My car is also often parked there.
Guest parking is at the curb. Space in front of the house and just a little down the road across the street is always available. Please avoid parking in front of the neighboring house directly across.

Other things to note
No smoking and no drugs or substance use on this property. This is a family home and the guest bedroom is a drug- and smoke-free space meant to be a space for rest and re-charge.
Please message me in advance if you plan to be coming back after 11 pm. The property has two outdoor security cameras that monitor the gate/side porch and the back of the house.

Downstairs studio in our mixed use building with 8 studios and a 4 bed room penthouse . Plus different business at this property. With 12000 sq ft gated parking lot. One guest recently described our place as being so secure it’s like a fortress! One free healing hands on treatment for high blood pressure, pains, etc. Our tenants are selected, quiet, no drama, clean , neat, self maintained and respectful. That said, no smoking, no pets. You’ll be staying in a private room totally furnished with a queen size bed, a dresser, closet, lamps, chair, a smart ROKU TV, fan, a monoxide alarm, iron, iron board, space heater and a window fan.
You’ll have access to a SHARED full bathroom located next to the room. Bathroom will be shared by you and another guest.

Guest access
You can get yourself into the house with the keypad code previously given.
You’ll have access to your room, the guest’ bathroom, kitchen, dining room, living room and the outdoor patio table.

About parking, there’s plenty free street parking, so you’d rarely have difficulty to find a spot.
Please avoid parking in our driveway.

There are absolutely no refunds when booking with Madame V. Remember that in booking, you are booking one bunk bed ONLY.

For one bed, the maximum allowed individuals is two people. If you happen to need more space, consider booking another bed to maximize your comfortability.

Any guest who books for more than THREE days or makes an alteration request for a longer stay must clean after themselves at all times. Treat it as if this were your own home.

Remember that this is someone's home, and we all have bills to pay.

We understand The Bay Area is expensive and for that reason is we are the lowest priced rooms in town (Vallejo/Napa).

Here are a few house rules that will help assist me in providing excellent hospitality for you and guests to come:

Lights:
Please turn off ALL lights anywhere in the home if you are not immediately using them. We ask that you do not keep lights on overnight.

If lights are left on (inactive) for more than 5mins host will turn them off for you (we understand you may forget)

Rooms:
SHARED ROOM
Be mindful of your noise level after 10pm
We need to ensure everyone is able to enjoy a good night's rest
Since we have a wide variety of professionals in the home
(working overnight/9-5 or vice versa)
Be aware of your personal noises on your persons/devices (use headphones during the day/night and keep your voices at an appropriate level)

Long Term Guest: Be mindful we are not responsible for your belongings. Keep all personal items in the space provided or in your car. We have closet space and drawers underneath beds.

Keep luggage/suitcases in closets and be sure to keep a path to beds CLEAR at all times.

Laundry Service is available for a fee if needed for dirty clothes
(ask for a bag to keep out of sight).

PRIVATE ROOMS
Your room key will be either in a lockbox, in your room waiting for you, or given to you by the host.
You have booked a private room but still must share the bathroom. Make sure to understand this prior to booking.
Keep all personal toiletries with you at all times.
Leave keys in the room (visible for host to see) or put them back into lockbox when you're checking out.

Long Term Guest: Keep all personal items in the space provided or in your car. We have closet space and drawers underneath beds.

Keep bathroom clean at all times
Sweep hair from floor after you brush/comb it
Rinse shower down after each use
If you shave please make sure to wipe all hairs from the counter

Kitchen:
Please help out and recycle, we have bins/boxes labeled for easy disposal.
Turn off water faucet after each use. Wash all dishes after each use
If you cook, please wipe down all areas used
Mark all foods (dry storage and fridge)
You have all access to anything labeled

Common Area (living room):
Since the sofa is offered as a listing be mindful if a guest has booked it
Keep the TV volume down after 10pm
Use headphones if multiple guests are in the room at once

Since NO smoking is allowed
We have provided a smoker's section on the side of the house (ask host to show you)

The space
If you like historic wooden cottages with a very comfy bed and good quality antique furniture on a quiet street, you will enjoy this home. Air conditioning for hot weather, radiator for warmth on winter nights. Lovely rear deck covered with jasmine and tree-filled garden with loquats, oranges and lemons. House is the historic Curtis House built in 1854 by Lucian Curtis, father of artist Mary Curtis Richardson. Also functions as an artist residency, and as the base for several local non=profit groups working on historic preservation of our former flour mill (Friends of Old Sperry Mill) and the creation of a Vallejo Historic Napa Riverwalk.

Guest access
During the pandemic, access is limited to upstairs, front and rear decks, main kitchen (for storage, or simple cooking by special arrangement), and rear garden. Use of basement laundry by arrangement.

During your stay
I will usually welcome you on arrival and give you a key and tour of the space. From then on, you are free to follow your own routine and contact me via phone or email whenever you need. You may have food in your room, and also make use of the downstairs shared kitchen and fridge.

Other things to note
Owner is a busy author , lives downstairs. Rear garden is free for you to enjoy. A quiet green oasis. Absolutely NO smoking or drugs inside or out.
