- "We just returned from an amazing trip to Aruba. This home was perfect for our two families... 4 adults and five children. It was nice to have two king bedrooms upstairs for the adults, while the kids took the downstairs rooms. All bedrooms have en suite baths which is great. We enjoyed coffee by the pool each morning and the kids spent lots of time swimming day and night. The home is equipped with everything you may need- from kitchen supplies to a great outdoor grill to loads of beach towels, coolers and chairs, linens, etc. The wireless wifi easily accommodated four adults and four teenagers with no issues! The community of Tierra del Sol is lovely and we enjoyed several walks in the evenings. We did not utilize the golf course or other amenities, but a brief tour of the common areas told us it is very well maintained. We would have loved to fit in spa day but ran out of time. We felt extremely safe within the community and actually everywhere on the island. All of our communications with the owners and property manager were promptly responded to and both were very helpful in planning our stay. There were plenty of beds, bathrooms and seating. The front porch and deck were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the rustic scenery. The home and yard were clean and well kept. We had absolutely no complaints. Future renters should know, however, that the short road leading to the house is gravel and unlit. We arrived during daylight hours so we had no problem navigating it."

You will have access to the whole house and yard. You will not have access to the washer and dryer unless you stay for more than 4 days. There are 3 interior doors that have locks for owner supplies, and the shed out back has a lock on it.

The entire yard is available for you to use. Patio area in the back yard has BBQ, outdoor dining area, fire pit (you supply the firewood) with adirondack chairs, hammock. Front of the house has 2 Adirondack chairs for your relaxation, and the south side of home you can relax next to stream with 2 Adirondack chairs.

This is an old house, and we have taken great effort to modernize it while retaining its old-world charm. The house does have its quirks, but that is part of its charm.

No fires are permitted in the indoor fireplaces. Please respect this and do not light any fires inside the fireplace at all!!

You will NOT have access to a washer or dryer during your stay, unless you are staying for 4 days or longer.

WILDLIFE & MAINTENANCE
Our home is in a rural residential neighborhood with a lot of wildlife. You will often see deer roaming on our property. We have pest control & insect treatments monthly. While we do our best, we cannot guarantee you will not see a bug in our home - we are in the country!

~ The home sits near a road with traffic, and while you are NOT on the road with traffic, you will hear it. If you are looking for a quiet place with no sounds – then this place is not for you.

The house on the hill is Fox Cottage – sleeps six - hosting a 3/4 bathroom and a kitchenette. Fox Cottage offers stunning views of the lake and a grand view of the estate. Fox Cottage is just steps away from the Hot tub.

There is plenty of parking on the property. The nearest public transportation is a 20-minute drive away in Kingston. Uber/lyft is usually available in the area.

Lambert, our groundskeeper of 30 years, lives on site, if you see him, say hi! You may also see his dogs, Samson and Delilah, they are friendly!

- "This place was incredible. Every member of our group walked in and immediately said wow. In fact, we all said wow even before we walked in, just pulling into the property and seeing how beautiful the house and grounds were. We had a family gathering with 13 adults and there was plenty of space for everyone, and all rooms were comfortable and nice. The younger adults had their own cottages, while the old folks stayed in the main house. Great kitchen, very well stocked. Great common spaces for hanging out, and lots of other spaces for private time. Massive outdoor grill. Great outdoor spaces, gazebo, play area. Plus the chickens and goats! The lake was gorgeous, serene and so private. Lots of fun canoeing, paddleboating, and just watching the water. All-in-all it was so fun, peaceful and relaxing. Hosts were incredibly responsive and super helpful with tips for local amenities. Caretaker was quick to respond when needed, but was otherwise politely invisible. We felt lucky to stay there, and would definitely stay again!"

A note about the indoor fireplace, due to some irresponsible guests, unfortunately we have been forced to make it FAKE LOGS only. Oct-March .We provide one that last 3 hours burn time. Sorry about that! Just don’t want the house burned down 😂😅

Also, we have no problem with people visiting while you stay. But ask if your going to have more then 2 cars so we can make the parking work
