We have different studio available in the same building that can also accommodate bigger groups. Step into a thoughtfully designed studio featuring a comfortable double bed with fresh linens for a restful night's sleep and a spacious bathroom with fresh towels and toiletries.

The room is 44 m2 with 1 double bed. The room offers basic kitchenware, coffee machine, fresh towels and a small desk.

Situated just a short distance from Leipzig's most famous attractions, our studio is an ideal base for exploration: Zoo Leipzig,Leipzig Opera House and Gewandhaus. Leipzig Hauptbahnhof is 10 minutes walk away.

Our guest apartment is located in the Graphic Quarter, on the ground floor of a former printing house. In the courtyard building (quiet location) there is also our office and our apartment - so we are easily accessible as hosts.

The city center and main train station are a 10-minute walk away, while the supermarket and tram are 2 minutes away.

The space
The 1.5 room apartment has its own access. Living area, mini kitchen, shower toilet and sleeping area are brightly furnished, the windows overlook the courtyard to the east.

The sofa bed offers 140 cm of lying surface and the double bed is 160 cm wide.

We are a young couple and rent out a big room for one or two persons. The light-flooded apartment is located just five minutes from Central Station and offers a central and convenient location.
The kitchen can also be used. The surroundings are not completely quiet or dark. Those who have a very light sleep would rather not. The guest room is very spacious and beautiful, with table, chairs and dresser.

The apartment has only recently been completely renovated and expanded. The intention of the creators was to create a special place where they themselves feel absolutely comfortable. The furnishings are not “off the shelf.” Rather, it consists of selected objects from the private collection of the owner and his personal environment. As a result, the "Löftchen" became a unique and authentic place of well-being and coziness with an open and inviting atmosphere in an absolutely quiet and very central location.

Exceptional location in the middle of the "graphic neighborhood", the former publishing & printing district of Leipzig.
The former printing house has been lovingly redesigned by us. Special flair of the historical building.

The space
The historic structure gives this fully renovated loft its special flair. Ceiling height of 3.3 m, lovingly renovated.
Huge shower and light-flooded rooms.
Daylight falls into the bathroom and hallway via a skylight to the bedroom.
In the bedroom, the historic cap ceiling is impressive and the cozy bed is 1.60 m wide.
The kitchen is fully equipped. It is perfect for planning the day in Leipzig at the large dining table with a fresh coffee or tea.
The large living room has two huge windows for a lot of light and offers two extra sleeping places (1.6m x 2.0m) on the cozy sofa if needed.

Leipzig is an up-and-coming metropolis and new things are emerging everywhere. Our district is also upgraded and so there may be usual construction site noises outside of the night's rest (10-7 pm). Very noisy guests, we would rather recommend the rural part of Saxony.

Leipzig Accommodations Tax

As unfortunately now in many major German cities, a tourist tax was also introduced in Leipzig in 2019, here as a "guest tax". However, as the City of Leipzig was not able to present a convincing calculation for the collection of this guest tax, the Bautzen Higher Administrative Court decided in early 2022 in favor of the Berlin hotel group A&O and collected the guest tax.

However, from April 1, 2023, the city will start a new attempt to ask tourists and travellers to pay for overnight stays in Leipzig. From then on under the names "Leipzig Accommodations Tax". We are absolutely not amused!

To charge the accommodation tax:
5% of the overnight price per person(without meals) will be collected as an additional accommodation tax. Whether it's a tourist or business traveler.

Stay exempt from the Leipzig Accommodations Tax:

– Children and adolescents up to the age of 18 years old
– Severely disabled + their companions

Of course, such an accommodation tax is of course simply annoying, also for us as a hostel, because we are obliged to collect this tourism tax from our guests and forward it to the city. We were against this overnight accommodation tax from the beginning, as it simply means significantly more bureaucratic + unpaid effort for accommodation establishments, complicates the daily routine and simply higher costs for everyone involved. It remains to be hoped that these funds will be invested sensibly in the tourist infrastructure of the City of Leipzig and, above all, to benefit guests of the city.

Example:
A 2-bed room during the knife time costs, for example, EUR 120.00/night, so EUR 60.00 per person. Here, 3.00 EUR/night accommodation tax would be incurred per person at an additional nightly price, if none of the grounds for exemption are available. So a total of 126.00 EUR/night.
