A tropical 3 bedroom 2 bathroom paradise holiday home on the hill. A gorgeous holiday home full of holiday vibes and close to all of Atherton Tablelands attractions. The birdlife is amazing! The large back deck is perfect for relaxing and bbq(ing) all year long. The home is large and spacious, with lots of nooks and crannies for a quiet spot to read a book away from others. Large mounted t.v. and family games. Office desk and chair with printer for when work gets in the way. Just 1.5 h drive to Cairns airport. Lovely surrounding cafes and restaurants. Waterfall heaven and lots of safe swimming spots.
The home backs onto gorgeous rainforest where you can enjoy either long or short walks. The lookout is just a couple of hundred metres away up the hill and has a great play ground for the kids.

The host are un organised and rude to face the us we didn’t find any accomodation on the last minute. This is very disappointing, rude, in humane. She didn’t even call us to explain or say sorry. This host should ran a business like this un organised. My stress and anxiety is in to the highest level because of what we have experienced. They are our worst nightmare. Karma will hit them Very hard I promised that. They leave us in a situation that we can’t do something about it we are all tired and hungry and this is what we encountered so so rude."

Recently refurbished cabin, Centrally located in the heart of the picturesque Atherton Tablelands. The cabin is situated on a main entrance road two minutes drive to the bustling Atherton town centre. There is ample off street parking and a high fence for privacy. The cabin is small 8.5m x3.0x 2.4 + a full size bathroom as shown in the pictures and accommodates from 1 to 4 persons. There is a laundry underneath the cabin accessed by a concrete ramp . All linen is supplied. The kitchen is very basic with just an induction style hotplate. All crockery and cutlery supplied. T.V & high speed Internet.

Tucked away in the quiet of the Atherton tablelands residential area is our home sweet home. A modern, yet character-filled home with all the amenities one would need to be comfortable indoors after enjoying the best of the wild offerings of Far North Queensland. We are located close enough to the epicentre of Atherton that popping to the shops, or for a bite isn’t a trek.

The space
Set in a 4-bedroom house, the tallest one in the cul-de-sac, you will stay in one of our spare rooms for a single person or couple with double sliding wardrobes. We live a full life and full time here and offer a comfortable modern space for entertainment, including a 75-inch tv and WIFI to keep your devices connected; a modern and efficient kitchen for all of your meal prep, a dining room with bench seating, a beautiful spacious bathroom with a lovely pressured shower and a comfortable and cosy bedroom with copious storage, to rest your head before doing it all over again the next day. Enjoy a hot drink or meal on the front porch looking out towards the mountains next to our pentas where Ulysses butterflies often rest on.

Cars can be parked at the base of the property.
As you enter the house, the open plan living room and kitchen / dining room greets you. The room is to the right of the kitchen, two doors down from the common shower room.

Trail Town Tiny Home is situated only 800m from the rail trail, it is close to Atherton MTB park, multiple scenic road rides and quiet dirt roads.
It is within easy walking distance to a great craft brewery, cafes and shops.
Trail Town Tiny Home is situated on a large residential block in Atherton. It is the ideal base to explore all the lakes, waterfalls, markets and history of the stunning Tablelands. Or, just kick back and relax with a good book.

The space
The tiny home consists of two converted shipping containers with a covered deck in between. You'll have your own bathroom, kitchen, lounge and double bed.

Guest access
You'll have private use of the tiny home and shared access to the large garden. There is often seasonal fruit and herbs growing. There is also a fire pit which you're welcome to use. It's a great place for star gazing.

Other things to note
I live in a seperate house on block. I also have 2 dogs and a mostly indoor cat. One of the dogs is very friendly and will probably want lots of pats the other will keep his distance.

It is a short bike ride or walk to the Atherton Rail Trail which links to the Mountain Bike Park, and the Atherton town and cafe's.

Consider it a home away from home, rather than a luxury retreat. If you come again you will see the improvements over time. It is a work in progress so please don't expect brand new everything!

Keep it simple at this peaceful and central 2 bed cottage on a quiet street and lovely neighbourbood.

It has character, an original retro bathroom, and a full kitchen with a large fridge. Polished timber floors throughout.

The sunroom to the north is perfect for your morning tea or breakfast looking towards the hills and watching the birds.

From the main bedroom you look out to the peak of Mt Baldy and Yabi Mountain, both with great walking tracks if you feel like a leg stretch.

There is also an office if you need to work quietly away from other guests.

There is an outdoor sitting area under a moss covered umbrella.

Washing machine, washing liquid, ironing board and iron provided. If you need a drier it is only two blocks to the laundromat.

All linen, towels, soap, shampoo and a tea and coffee tray provided as well as a few fresh things from my garden if available.

Olive oil, balsamic vinegar, pepper and salt provided. There is a full kitchen with large fridge and gas stove and oven. The sink has a separate filtered water tap.

Small children are welcome but there are no safety covers on power points or childproof kitchen door catches etc. So please be careful. The garden is fenced. A high chair is available on request.

Only 90 minutes from Cairns, the Tablelands offers a unique experience including pristine crater lakes, swimming holes, waterfalls, distilleries and breweries. Taste the local produce and indulge in a selection of cheeses, fruits, meats and chocolates from our many speciality cafes and eateries. Scenic walking tracks and trails are plentiful for all, or challenge yourself to more difficult terrain within this mountainous region. A detailed guest information book at the cottage will have you planning out the days for the duration of your stay!

The cottage is conveniently located in one of the original tree lined streets of Atherton. All town amenities are within easy walking distance from the Cottage, with Atherton’s Main Street only a couple of hundred meters away.

Wagtail Cottage is beautifully furnished throughout with your comfort in mind. It boasts two generously sized bedrooms with clean mattresses, bedding and linen. We can accomodate 4 guests within these two main bedrooms. The master bedroom has integrated reading lights and a wall mounted television. Our third bedroom is primarily a library and office space, but can double as a third sleeping space. There is an oversized armchair which converts to a single bed. This setup would be suitable for a child or teen and would come made up with linen if required. Please inform us if you would need this set up in advance.

There are two living areas which include the front sun and sitting room, and a lounge area. The main lounge area has Disney + connected, plus the option to stream other services should you wish . This space opens to a well-equipped kitchen with a raked ceiling, breakfast bar and new appliances, including a dishwasher. Basic pantry staples are provided for your cooking needs.

The cottage comes equipped with a plentiful selection of books and board games to enjoy at your leisure. WiFi is connected for your convenience.

Our bathroom has a shower over bath combination and plenty of sink and bench space. A perfect space to reset after a day full of exploring! There is a separate toilet and laundry for use during your stay, with washing machine and dryer facilities.

The front garden is something that we are truly proud of and upon entering, provides you with a sense of tranquility. Wander through the pathways lined by the hydrangeas, gardenias and camellias as you enjoy a cup of tea or an afternoon drink under the canopy of the large Satin Ash. The cottage has an abundance of birdlife…see if you can spot our resident Willy Wagtail and the inspiration behind the naming of ‘Wagtail Cottage’

The Summit B&B is a four-bedroom "Queenslander", with a wide inviting deck on three sides, giving panoramic views from all rooms. Situated next to an Environmental Park and surrounded by Mabi Rainforest. Native animals abound.

The space
Constructed and opened in August 2008, it is our new establishment, The Summit B&B (a separate construction to The Summit Rainforest Retreat), is available to be booked. Built in the classic "Queenslander" style, with all rooms having access to a wide inviting deck, through French doors, it is self contained and "non hosted". The Summit B&B can be booked on a room basis, or as an entire house (sleeps 8). The facilities include a sparkling pool & 3 ensuited bedrooms, full kitchen & coin operated laundromat, panoramic views, centrally heated and cooled, Digital TV in all bedrooms and a beautiful lounge area with bay windows.

Rainforest walks are at your back door, spotlighting at night is a feature, while native pademelons, tree kangaroos and wallabies feed at your feet. The panoramic views, as you relax or entertain, are stunning.
