The flat is on two floors and is located in the town centre above the high street shops, opposite the bus station. Busses go regularly to the train station, London Euston is 20-30mins away. The M1, M25 and A41 are within easy reach.

The keys can be found in a key safe by the front door. I will give details after booking. Access to the flat door is up two flights of stairs and there is no lift, so good for exercise.

Parking is free in King Harry Street but is restricted to between 6.30pm and 08.30am on weekdays and Saturdays and is free all day on Sundays. For daytime parking there are nearby car parks, the Water Gardens North car park is very close 1-2 minutes walk away, and costs a maximum of £4 for the day. The construction of the trunk canal (later to be called the Grand Union Canal) between London and the Midlands through the valley in 1798 that began its industrial rise at the start of the 19th century. The canal gave an easy way of transporting the raw and manufactured products to and from the mills.

John Dickinson, the inventor of a new method of continuous papermaking, purchased an existing mill in the area in 1809. There is record of paper making already taking place nearby at this time. The seating in the living room was most uncomfortable and the rooms were always cold. Asked once for heating, but never received an answer so we used the heater in the kitchen. The host was at times unbearable as she kept telling us what to do or not to do repeatedly as if we were children. Through our multiple exchanges, she also mentioned that she was a lawyer. We were charged an excessive amount for a simple fix to her heated towel rail bracket and wall which we are disputed, through Vrbo. A plastic anchor and a little drywall was pulled from the wall that would cost a few pounds at most to repair. You could tell that each site of the anchors were poorly repaired before. One of the primary reasons we picked this place was for a dryer as advertised. There was no dryer and by the way, spin dry in a washer is not a dryer. Location was great as we got to see the country side. All in all, we did not feel comfortable and felt constantly intimidated by the host. We have rented places through various agencies throughout the years around the world and have never had to write a negative review. All in all we did not feel comfortable staying in this place. We would not stay here again and definitely would not recommend it."

Sainsbury’s was a a 5 min walk away which was very handy and there are plenty of Pubs, Restaurants and retail stores close by. Amazing location and very comfy spacious room very comfy double bed , although bathroom shared it’s only with me, additional toilet downstairs. Near M1, Harry Potter studio, Shopping, cinema, nr London, Warner brothers, book66, St Albans. Have A stylish experience at this centrally-located place.
House says 2 but can normally fit more with a maximum of 6 please enquire even if it looks booked. My house has all mod cons plus extras and you will be very comfortable, excellent shower and bath

Spacious, comfortable double room and sole use of luxury bathroom. Plenty of off road parking. The property is in a prime location, within walking distance of the railway station taking you into London Euston in 30 mins. Also convenient for Hemel Hempstead industrial estate, only 10 mins drive. For visitors to the area, we have easy access to London, open countryside and the Grand Union Canal all close by. The Harry Potter Studio is just 20 mins away by car or public transport.

The space
The bungalow was built for my grandparents, and has seen 5 generations of the family living here. It is comfortable, friendly and welcoming.
Unfortunately, due to a reaction to cavity wall installation, there is some peeling to the external paint for which I am currently researching a solution. Please don't be put off by this, it is purely cosmetic and has no effect on the high quality of the inside accommodation at all.
