Security/Safety

Stay in a unique part of Australia’s railway history. Our movable vans were used by workers building the railways. Our smallest van would have been used for accommodation as would the van which is now a bathroom, the largest van was a school. It’s just a short walk into the township of Nagambie. There is plenty to do from walking, fishing, swimming, boating, wineries and restaurants. We have room for boat storage.

It’s right on the lake and has a fantastic outdoor area with a pool. A lovely unit, but lacking a few things, no hair dryer, lack of towel rails ,and a badly designed shower that water flowed out on to the bathroom floor. " - "Well where do I start, firstly we had no idea of the codes to get it or where to find the keys but luckily every local knows the codes and where the keys are so security is optimal. Double story baclony views of water was in the photos when in fact we stayed in a walk in robe off the path and had a view of rendered appartments. Fully contained kitchen with no rangehood and pans with no lids to cook with, had spaghetti on the first night and only had 2 forks for our cutlery amongst other bits and pieces and no bowls or bbq tongs. Nice to have a washing machine for longer stays but nowhere to hang clothes and no dryer. Had a tv with netflix yet no internet so it was useless and we tethered through our phones to watch a movie. The shower does not drain properly and water runs out the bottom of the shower door spewing into the rest of the bathroom. Only had 2 rolls of toilet paper for a 4 night stay so we had to buy more. Nothing to wash your dishes with other than a cloth so again we had to buy our own. Bought bbq tongs and pans to roast in the oven because supplies were not there. An outside light for night time would have been nice too. A little overpriced for what you got for your money but otherwise nice. There are 2 small windows that face a balcony which allows neighbours to see what we are doing so maybe curtains on those windows would give us a little privacy. Don't think we would stay here again anytime soon."

The pool is great in summer but off limits in winter. The hot tub is inoperable.

The pool is a shared space and we ask that for safety two people are in attendance whenever anyone is swimming. Please only plastic and cans but no glass by the pool.

The 4 bedroom house is on 10 acres with 150 metres of Goulburn River frontage. Great walks all around but particularly along the river into town. Once there enjoy a coffee at one of the many cafes.
Guest access
Guests have access to all the property including a magnificent swimming pool. If you like fishing, walking or just relaxing then this is the place to be.

Other things to note
Please ensure that two people are at the pool when anyone is swimming. Plastic and cans are fine by the pool but please no glass.

Also we ask that you keep all the gates closed but enjoy walking around the property.

The space
A cosy renovated miners cottage - modern with a touch of yesteryear. There are 3 bedrooms, a bathroom with toilet (and an outdoor toilet) full kitchen with large oven and large fridge, lounge room with wood heater and a dinning table to seat 8 people. Outside there is a covered deck with BBQ, Pizza oven, fire pit and plenty of room to run around !

There is a smart TV which you can link your own device too and DVD player with a small selection of DVD’s. There is no WIFI at the White Cottage but there are a few old fashion games to be played.

Access is by a key box and the code will be sent to you 24 hours before arrival. There are additional keys inside the house for the side door and kitchen window.

Other things to note
This is a very old Miners Cottage which has been renovated. Please note there is no WIFI but a TV which you can connect to streaming via your own device. There is also a DVD player and a small selection of DVD’s too

Warm and welcoming farmhouse located 13kms from the township of Avenel. Set on 160 acres with not another house in sight, relax and enjoy a peaceful getaway with a houseful of friends and family. Ideal for a group attending an event in the surrounding area or a weekend getaway.

The space
We have 5 bedrooms with King Size beds. The master bedroom has an en-suite and a TV. The other 4 bedrooms are on the other side of the house and are serviced by a main bathroom with a bath. 2 of the rooms can split the beds into king singles so please advise if you would like this prior to arrival.
The property is situated in the beautiful Strathbogies so the country is quite hilly and has beautiful views over the surrounding countryside.
There are 2 living areas to accommodate large groups both with TV’s. The second living area has a table tennis table, board games and a wood burning heater.

Guest access
You have full access to the property to walk around. There are stables and a machinery shed that are locked.

Other things to note
There are 4 single bunk beds in our stables if you have a larger group. These can be booked for an extra $200 per night. The stables are 100m from the house and have heating and cooling and a kitchenette and bathroom. The photos are listed as bedroom 6.
