The Well House is a romantic, unique and cosy retreat for two, located at the end of a private drive and situated in rolling, unspoilt countryside. The owners have kept much of the property's period details to offer a holiday home that’s unlike any other. The 40-foot-deep Well with its glass top is a fascinating central feature that doubles up as the dining table with lights, illuminating the very depths of the Well. There’s also a cosy wood-burning stove set in an original brick fireplace and plenty of original exposed timbers and brickwork. Full height windows let the light flood in and ancient, fortified doors open out to your own outside space with garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue.
The cottage is set on a four acre estate and guests have access to an orchard with pear, apple and olive trees. The Lodge is decorated with style in keeping with the countryside location and the heritage on site. Comfortable and functional spaces which have all been fully refurbished and redecorated this year - new kitchen and bathroom.

To get your stay off to a comfortable start the kitchen will be stocked with Milk, teas. coffees, sweets and a simple bottle of wine to enjoy in front of the fire or in the historic gardens.

The entire Lodge is yours to make your own during your stay, further afield the entire estate is at your disposal to explore and enjoy from 60 acres of rolling fields to numerous woods and coppices. immediately to the rear of the Lodge and within the confines of the historic moat are the gardens where you can roam freely and relax on the benches, chairs or even deck chairs and picnic blankets depending on your preference (and weather).

If you bring your dog the park is 5 minutes walk away. My garden is fully dog proof.Excellent spot for visiting Worcester or Birmingham. About 45 minutes drive to Stratford. I am about 10 minutes from M42 or M5 if you are travelling north or south. It is about 30 minute drive to the NEC. If you are visiting Bromsgrove School its a 5 minute walk.

Our typical guest profile is those working on short or longer term contracts locally and Monday to Friday, though we are happy to have Sunday evening check-ins ahead of the working week. We have not blocked weekends on our calendars but try to keep these free for family time, leisure and relaxation. For health, safety, security and insurance reasons we can not leave guests in our home alone during the day whilst we are out/at work. Thank you for your understanding. Please ask about weekends as we may be available on some dates.

We will be around most of the time to interact with guests, and especially for check in and check out. We are more than happy to discuss the town and the region to make recommendations on what to see!

The Upper Mews is part of a converted Victorian house. Having undergone renovation to an excellent standard in 2015, it has also been re decorated to maintain this standard in 2020. It is fully furnished and equipped, self contained, quiet and private. This first floor space is very unique.
It suits people working away from home on a Monday to Friday basis, whilst also offering a peaceful haven for guests wanting a weekend away.
Many guests have used us as a convenient base whilst they visit the NEC. It is also an excellent base to holiday from, exploring the diversity the surrounding area has to offer. Having your own transport is recommended.

Walking distance to shops and an abundance of takeaways! Plenty of garden space and BBQ area to use on those sunny evenings. This is a two bedroomed cottage comprising of a double bedroom and a nursery with toddler bed (there is a detachable cot side). Please just let me know if the nursery/cot is required for your stay and if your little one is too small for the toddler bed I have a travel cot available. The cottage has a spacious bathroom upstairs with bath and shower featuring the original wooden floorboards. Downstairs consists of a cosy but spacious living room complete with a gas log burner for those cooler evenings. The kitchen has everything you need if you fancy cooking however there are a wealth of good takeaways just a minutes walk away!
The cottage has a large typical terraced style private garden and IF the weather is on your side there’s ample dining space. The patio area is home to a more relaxed seating area for those wishing to bring the indoors out!
There is a BBQ available if guests just let me know they’d like to use it.

The space
52a The Old Post Office is a brand new conversion designed with a luxury and relaxing stay in mind. Modern furnishings, lighting and a stylish colour scheme set the scene. The whole building and New fully enclosed Secret Garden has been completely refurbished to a high standard.
The apartment and Secret Garden are both private and are exclusively for TOPO guests and are not shared by others. The perfect place for couples to relax and unwind.
You can enjoy cosy nights with everything you need in one place, including a fabulous 60 inch TV for movie nights in, plus a bedroom TV both with Netflix and many other entertainment streaming options, you can safely log in to your own subscriptions and both TV's will reset and auto-clear on your day of departure, there's also mainstream TV in the lounge via a Sky box.
Here you can relax and unwind in the new secluded and fully enclosed Secret Garden, with Sun Loungers, Covered Seating Area, Cosi ™ Log Burner, Cosi ™ Fire Lantern, Charcoal BBQ area and Warm White LED mood lighting throughout. There’s a brand new fully enclosed and Private Arctic Spas ™ Hot Tub which is engineered for the world’s harshest climates. You can enjoy the relaxing Comfort and Hydro-Massage Jets and LED Northern colour change mood lighting on a warm summer evening at a slightly lower temperature or at 38 degrees with steam rising around you in the depths of winter. Rain or Snow only add to the experience. The Hot Tub has been positioned near the edge of the covered enclosure so you can enjoy the sun or evening sky, or move further back into the relaxing His and Hers seating with Adjustable Head Rests. There’s full fitted curtains for further privacy if desired. The newly installed Cosi ™ 11kw Log Burner and Cosi ™ Fire Lantern provides the perfect focal point and area to relax, unwind and dry yourself in front of a warming fire, without the smoke you experience from a fire pit thanks to the fitted twin wall flue system. For those wanting to enjoy Al Fresco dining there’s a fully sheltered table for two.
The new refurbishment work was carried out to be highly energy efficient and eco friendly. It's high insulation value results in the whole apartment being cool in the summer and warm in the winter. There are highly efficient modern wall mount heaters located in the bedroom and lounge, there's also a crystal LED flame effect only fire in the lounge with mood lighting for relaxing nights in. A Dyson Coolair fan is also present for additional comfort. Polished chrome switches and USB sockets are installed throughout for your convenience. For further efficiency and to further reduce the carbon footprint all lighting throughout the entire property, including the 60 remote control garden festoon lights are all warm white LED.
The kitchen diner/living room is open plan and has spotlights throughout both areas with the option of subtle lighting in the kitchen/dining area for relaxing candle light meals. There's a full size american fridge freezer with plenty of ice for your drinks as well as a good selection of glassware, from wine glasses to champagne saucers and cocktail glasses, there's also a cocktail making kit. The kitchen includes a brand new washing machine and full size dishwasher. There's a Lor espresso coffee maker, a slow cooker for those winter warmers and a three tier steamer for a healthy option. We provide a few complimentary breakfast items, tea/coffee, milk, orange juice, freshly baked bread, butter, jam, marmalade etc.
In the bedroom there's a very comfortable bed, with a luxury mattress made entirely from all natural materials, there's luxury linens, along with a large wardrobe with plenty of space to hang or fold your clothes, a dressing table and a hair dryer. The two roof windows in the bedroom apex roof allow plenty of light into the bedroom, there's blinds to close them at night if desired, these can also be opened.
The en suite shower room contains a side shower with soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided, along with Ebony of London body lotion and hand wash. There is a heated towel rail so you can enjoy warm fluffy towels.

Free Parking is available for one car. This can be in the lay-by across the road or if you're a pretty nifty driver you can park right outside the apartment, next to the beautifully restored 200 year old Victorian frontage. This parking area is reserved exclusively for TOPO guests for your convenience. The Old Post Office is an entire private self contained apartment with access to the front and the rear, which leads to the private, fully sheltered and enclosed secret garden for exclusive use by TOPO guests only. There’s a lawn, patio, sun loungers, covered seating area, mood lighting, Cosi ™ Log Burner, Cosi ™ Lantern, BBQ Area, Al Fresco dining table for two and Private Arctic Spas ™ Hot Tub.

Important safety guidelines
Log Burner
The log burner must not be used in the presence of infants or children or while intoxicated. Please use the glove provided to access the log burner via the wooden handle only. NEVER touch the log burner or flue with your bare hands or any part of your body or clothing as it gets EXTREMELY HOT. Please ensure that all items are kept well away from the log burner when in use and do not leave it unattended until the flames die down.
Hot Tub
The hot tub must not be used while intoxicated. Please observe the warning notices that are located on the hot tub and the hot tub cover. Please read and observe the safety guidelines sheet which is located in the apartment and garden before using the hot tub.
BBQ
If possible please use 'Instant light charcoal bags' (not included) on the BBQ, to avoid bringing flammable lighting products to the apartment.
Infants
Whilst we welcome infants to our apartment please be aware we do not provide a cot or highchair due to the varying age requirements.
