- "The lodge had everything we needed for our stay and all information was provided without needing to ask. The instructions for how to use the induction hob were missing (someone mentioned this in a previous review), which are important if you’ve never used one before so I had to spend a good 30 minutes on the internet trying to fathom it out! And maybe the instruction manual needs an overhaul as some of the equipment in the lodge has been updated so not everything in the manual is relevant. We enjoyed our time at Wolf Lodge, it was comfortable and clean - I would stay there again for sure!"

Baddengorm Lodge is a magnificent lodge set within in a clearing in beautiful woodland in the Cairngorms National Park. Sleeps 8 in 5 bedrooms.

Baddengorm Lodge has a large living room with free-standing circular wood burner. The entire open-plan living/kitchen/dining space is flooded with natural light from the large windows. The master bedroom is on the ground floor and has a fabulous en-suite bathroom with shower and free-standing bath. Up to the first floor are more bedrooms all with incredible woodland views. Baddengorm Lodge is a truly unique property and although there is two steps to the entrance at the front of the property, there is a wheelchair friendly side door with ramp. Externally there is a large games room with snooker table, table tennis and table football. The lawned garden, with patio, garden furniture and firepit is set in 10-acre grounds with woodland.

- "What a setting! Beautiful house with everything you need for a break away. Great space for a large group and the games room is an added bonus! We had some spring sunshine and a dusting of snow which was lovely and added to the tremendous views. We did not want to leave! A few things that could help improve the comfort, is a larger kitchen workspace with more storage - there was very limited worktop space especially when trying to prepare meals for 8 people, and the ovens need updating/improving. Also there were no spare kitchen cupboards for our food. Also, there were very few wardrobes/cupboards or drawers in any of the bedrooms. In fact the Master Bedroom only had a small hanging rail with a few shelves - no wardrobe or drawers at all. Definitely needs more storage in the bedrooms! But the house is amazing set in beautiful tranquil grounds, with the fantastic bar/games room for those that fancy it! The owner also supplied some toiletries and cleaning products - very useful! And despite my few ideas for improving the house, we would recommend it."

There is direct access from the garden to the ancient woodland with plenty of opportunity for wildlife spotting, walking and mountain biking trails.

The apartment has recently been renovated from B&B to self-contained, self-catering accommodation.

Outside, there is a covered, decked area for guest use. We ask that you are mindful that the remainder of the garden (including the trampoline) is for family use. We have 3 small children who play throughout the garden. We aim to be respectful of your privacy so you can enjoy your holiday. If there are ways we can improve please let me know.

The garden has a gate which opens directly onto the ancient woodland, allowing easy access onto the walking and biking trails.

Built in the 1870’s Feith Mhor (Fay Mor) is a charming and substantial country house taking it's Gaelic name from its surroundings: great stillness.

All bedrooms have en-suite facilities with linen and towels provided. Relax on cosy nights in with an open fire in the living room.

This Victorian manse dates back to the 1870s and its grand entrance hall welcomes guests and sets the tone of what is to come in the rest of the house. The colourful drawing room is kept nice and cosy by its open fire and the formal dining room is a rather grand place to gather for evening meals.

The kitchen has been kitted out with a double oven and six ring stove to make cooking for larger parties easier with a central island that provides useful extra space for whipping up some culinary delights. In the WC are drying racks that are great for wet coats, boots, etc.

There is a handy en suite double bedroom downstairs and up the winding staircase are the four other bedrooms - two double rooms, one family room with a double bed and bunk bed and a twin room, all of which have their own en suite bath or shower room facilities.

It is set amidst delightful gardens and one other cottage that is also rented out to guests, they do have other private gardens to the rear. The grounds for the Lodge are large and enjoy marvelous views to the Monadhliath hills.

- "Location is terrific. Carrbridge is lovely and only a mile or so away. Jess is super-responsive on email, and even before the holiday was very helpful with information about local walks, fishing lakes and things to do in general. The house has a really welcoming 'feel’, and it felt like a home. The space, facilities, setting, garden, trampoline, climbing frame, and peace & quiet were (mostly) first rate. The dining table was brilliant for large groups for dining and board games. The more formal sitting room is nice for a bit of peace and quiet. Rooms are lovely and comfortable, and except for Room 5, all the plumbing and showers were really good. Couple of areas of obvious improvement would be to put some stools in the kitchen. The fact that the house doesn’t have a straightforward television setup in the downstairs lounge off the dining area is just plain bad. You have to navigate through iPlayer etc to watch, and it’s just not consistent with the rest of the experience of the house. Not that we watched that much, but still. Wi-Fi was good throughout. An unpleasant surprise was that the lodge is actually three properties on the same plot with shared access to the outside play facilities. The Vrbo details did not make that clear at the time of booking, and still don’t at the time of writing this review. The two smaller cottages to the rear of the lodge can be seen from the aerial photo on the site, however the description should make it explicit that these are separate and may be occupied by different groups while you are staying in the lodge. The fact that the neighbours have their own fenced of gardens didn’t stop them walking their dog round the large garden that ‘belongs’ to the lodge. The middle cottage is being renovated at present so when you book this property ask yourself the question whether you want two set of neighbours in close proximity for the duration of your stay at Feith Mhor."

We are within walking distance of Carrbridge village centre where there are two cafes, Spar shop and Post Office and a pub offering good food. Lots of woodland walks are on our doorstep.

Carriage driving can be arranged. Advice on events and activities in the area. We are 15 mins drive from Aviemore and 30 mins to Inverness. The Lecht and Cairngorm Mountain ski areas are both 45 mins drive away. We live in the beautiful Cairngorm National Park with lots of interesting things to see and do in both summer and winter.

We have our lovely Labrador called Kai. He loves to meet new people, and just loves being spoilt.

The Wee Loft is upstairs in the loft of the garage next to our family home.

It's a small but beautifully crafted open plan space with a king size bed, ensuite bathroom with walk in shower, lounge area and galley style kitchen with a 2 pan hob for simple cooking. There's a fold out table for indoor dining and a large private balcony with table and chairs to relax or eat outside.

There's WiFi available, although please don't expect super fast speeds. There's also a TV with standard freeview channels and an Anker bluetooth speaker for playing your own music.

There is a dedicated parking space for guests in the driveway next to a path leading to stairs up to The Wee Loft.

The outdoor space for guests is limited to the large balcony at the top of the stairs and the sheltered area beneath.

The lodge has free wi-fi and TV including a Disney Plus subscription, an Xbox games console and a selection of DVDs and games for both adults and children so there is something for everyone.

Guest access
The entire lodge is yours for the duration of your stay and you can wander the grounds or take a walk in the nearby forest through our private gate into the woods. Look out for the family of ducks which hang around in the lochan, see if you can spot one of the many red squirrels which live on-site and if you are lucky you might spot the owls at dusk or one of the local deer might pay you a visit

There is free parking alongside and you will have access to you own picnic table.
