Never-the-less, I found it worrying to be warned of arriving early or checking out late, and penalties that would accrue, and strict instruction about leaving the property a certain way, which didn't feel very good, and were frankly worrying - they seemed to imply that penalties would be assessed if we didn't follow your strict instructions. I've never experienced that anywhere else I have stayed, and I didn't like it. Perhaps there is a way to get the point across without seeming to threaten the guest? We paid a lot of money to stay at the property, it was not free. I did not think we should be made to take out the trash when we have paid for a cleaning service. We came for a relaxing trip. I found the way I was treated worrying, not relaxing."

With views to the Dornoch Firth this light and airy, self-contained, one bed apartment is situated in a quiet and leafy no-through road serving a small number of residential properties. The centre of Dornoch and the Royal Dornoch Golf Club is a ten minute walk. The expanse of sandy beach and dunes is approximately, a fifteen minute walk. It is perfectly situated as a pit-stop for the NC500 or as a base to enjoy the hills, glens and coastline.

I have always endeavoured for new guests to experience our apartment as though they were our very first, so always seek to have the place spotless. In these new times, however, over and above my usual cleaning routine I will now also be using anti-viral cleaner on hard surfaces and soft furnishings. All dishes, pots and cutlery will be freshly washed in the dishwasher. I also no longer take back-to-back bookings to allow extra time for cleaning between guest stays. I hope these extra sanitary measures will help reassure.

This is a bespoke glamping pod that we have designed and finished to a luxury standard. Its a small space but its quirky, unique and fun! :-)

Get away from it all and watch the stars on a clear night or a beautiful sunset from the south facing decking with panoramic views. Our static caravan is within the grounds of our home and you can be assured of total peace and quiet. We're dog friendly and children over the age of 2 are welcome.

The space
No other caravans overlooking, no other buildings within 1/4 mile. Guests love our rural location & walks from the doorstep whilst only being a 10 minute drive to Tain and Dornoch where there are restaurants, shops and golf. Pheasants, owls, deer and red kites seen regularly around the property.

We offer a laundry service on select days for guests staying three nights or longer, Monday through Friday, between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. The cost is £10 per washing load up to 8kg. For stays of one week or longer, we offer two free wash loads per week.

We use eco-friendly detergent from Smol, and we utilise the machines during the day to maximise the use of our solar panels.

Please schedule your laundry service at least one day in advance to avoid disappointment in case we have prior plans to go out. We use a 30-degree wash and can either line dry or tumble dry. Please advise if you prefer a different temperature and your preferred method for drying your laundry. We don’t iron your clothes, but we can provide an iron and an ironing board on request.

It has recently undergone complete refurb to provide modern comfortable accommodation that complies with National Guesthouse Standards.
