This recently built holiday house has been decorated and furnished to a high standard. With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, the house sleeps 7 people in style and comfort. Set in a quiet cul de sac a few minutes walk from the centre of Ullapool, an iconic resort on Scotland's North West coast. Lots to see and do in the area and just one hour's drive from Inverness, which has excellent rail and road links, as well as an International Airport. Well behaved pets accepted by prior arrangement, with an additional £25 cleaning fee. We regret no smoking and bookings only from Saturday to Saturday.

- "My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful three weeks at Foinaven, and had a couple of friends from home visit for a week during our stay. We flew in and out of Inverness and rented a car for a reasonable price so that we could take day trips here and there (we really didn’t need it much in Ullapool, except for larger grocery runs). The house has BEAUTIFUL views from every room and a lot of space. The kitchen and eating space is expansive and fully equipped. Everything was incredibly clean and the location is only a 10 minute walk into town on the sidewalk. Bring your raincoat for the walk; can be sunny when you walk out the door and raining by the time you get to town, but that’s Scotland! Mairi was very attentive and responsive and we appreciated the nice bedding which was refreshed for us weekly. We also loved that each bedroom had a vanity/desk and hairdryer, which made getting ready in the morning (and working remotely) very easy and comfortable. Highly recommend a stay!"

The bathroom is next door in the hall (not en-suite but totally private use) The comfortable cosy room looks over the back garden. The views from the front decking of the bungalow over Loch Broom and the mountains are simply superb!

Our bungalow sits in an elevated position on the outskirts of the lovely town of Ullapool. You will have use of your bedroom and private bathroom and the outside decking. The livingroom is not available for evening use but a substantial breakfast is provided which will be served at the dining table in the living room in the morning which offers lovely views. The kitchen entrance is for access to the bedroom and you are welcome to put items in the fridge (drinks/snacks) and utilise the small kitchen table and chairs but cooking is not permitted. A very pleasant 25 minute walk takes you into the town where there is a good range of bars/restaurants for dinner. We are a friendly and relaxed couple and are happy to give advice on what to do in Ullapool and surrounding areas. We also welcome well behaved dogs.

This is an airy and spacious ground floor apartment with big south facing windows. The location is quiet and private, and it has its own front and back doors. It has an ensuite wheelchair access bathroom with shower.

There is a large bedroom with double bed and sitting/dining room with kitchen. Muesli, milk, and biscuits plus tea and coffee are provided. Cooking oil, herbs and seasonings are in the kitchen pull-out cupboard.

The space
Taigh Sona is an apartment built by my parents for their comfort in their later years. They no longer need it and so we are making it available to visitors.

It is warm and quiet, all on the ground floor and wheelchair accessible, with a large ensuite bathroom with no thresholds to trip up wheelchairs.

We provide tea and coffee plus muesli and milk for a continental breakfast whenever you want it.

My name is Evelyn and 21 Ladysmith Street is my family home. I have 2 rooms available, on a room only basis. no breakfast is available. Room 1 is small double and an en-suite shower room. A selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits are available in the room. The house is on a quiet street in the centre of the village,You can park in the driveway or in front of the house. I am walking distance of harbour, shops, restaurants, river and hill walks.

Am Bothan is a comfortable double room with ensuite bathroom on the ground floor of my house, with its own entrance door.

It's a few minutes' walk from the centre of Ullapool and the ferry.

The connecting door to my hallway is locked when guests are staying - you have the space entirely to yourself. You don't have access to the rest of the house or a kitchen - this is just the bedroom with a bathroom.

It makes an excellent additional space for people booking An Uamh or can be booked alone.

The space
I need to stress that there isn't a beach view from the room! But it's only a few minutes' walk to Ullapool's pebble beaches. The view out of the window is just of my yard I'm afraid (and a bit of Ullapool Hill beyond). However the view from the front garden, which you can use during your stay, is over Loch Broom.

The entrance door leads straight into the bedroom.

There is a comfortable double bed with Eve hybrid mattress.

The room is licensed for two people (but infants under two do not count in this number). I have a cot that can be borrowed if needed - you would need to bring your own infant bedding. Let me know when you request to book so I can confirm if the cot is available.

There is a modern open wardrobe with hanging rail and a shelf for clothes and other belongings. There's also a hairdryer.

The bed has small bedside tables each side.

There are low comfy chairs, one in a cheeky cerise and one in an aqua colour!

There is a floor lamp which provides soft lighting, and a Bose Bluetooth speaker that you can use.

Am Bothan has underfloor heating throughout (you can control the temperature both in the bedroom and separately in the bathroom).

The view from the window is over my back yard towards Ullapool Hill.

An electric kettle is on a low table, as well as mugs which are handmade by Hugh in his pottery. Yorkshire teabags, sugar and UHT milk sachets are also provided.

There is a small washing-up kit so you can clean your mugs in the bathroom basin while you're staying.

The bathroom is compact but stylish. There is a walk-in shower with glass screen as well as a toilet and basin, hooks for clothes and plenty of hot water. There's also a heated towel rail and the bathroom mirror has a backlight and a shaver socket. Shampoo and body wash made by Highland Soaps are provided, as well as hand wash for the basin.

Guests are also welcome to use the outside seating at the front of the house (sharing with guests at An Uamh self-catering flat and Hugh, the owner). The window in Am Bothan only looks out at the yard at the back of the house (although you can see Ullapool Hill) but the views from the seating in the front garden are spectacular.

Heating and hot water are provided by an air source heat pump at the back of the property under the bedroom window (you may hear it if you have the window open, but it's not loud).

There are also solar photovoltaic panels on the front and back of the roof, and battery storage, making this a very environmentally friendly holiday option.

Previously there wasn't a house on the site, so Am Bothan hasn't taken away any existing local housing for short-term lets.

Am Bothan is LGBTQ friendly.

Please note there's no TV in the room.

There's decent wifi provided by Highland Community Broadband, and the password will be provided on arrival.

If booking options are not set to "same-day booking possible" I may still be able to accommodate you on the same day so feel free to message to check.

It makes an ideal additional space for people staying in An Uamh, my self-catering flat, for example if a couple and an extra person want to stay. However it can also be booked as a stand-alone by people who don't need a kitchen. There are plenty of good restaurants and cafes within a few minutes' walk from Am Bothan.

Guests have exclusive use of the room and ensuite bathroom.

You can use the seating in the front garden, sharing with guests staying in An Uamh and Hugh, the owner.

During your stay
Guests can find me in my house (above Am Bothan) or my pottery workshop (next door). I provide my number in the house guidebook.

There will also be visitors to the pottery workshop who have to cross the front garden from the road, and may park on the site, but there will always be a parking space for guests.

Occasionally we have cruise ships visiting Ullapool and on these days I sometimes put a table with pottery for sale in the front garden for when the walking tours go past. I have the dates for 2025 so if you're wondering about this get in touch and I can tell you if your stay will coincide with any of the cruise ships.

I'm very happy to show people the pottery and suggest places to eat or visit, but I'll respect your privacy if you prefer.

Lovely double room in bungalow on outskirts of Ullapool, (walking distance) with king size bed and very modern en suite shower room with large walk in shower. This comfortable room looks over the back garden. The views from the front decking of the bungalow over Loch Broom and the mountains are simply superb!

A free substantial ‘help yourself’ continental breakfast is available and on dry days we suggest taking it out onto the decking to soak up the lovely open views!

The space
Our bungalow sits in an elevated position on the outskirts of the lovely town of Ullapool. It offers superb views over Loch Broom and the surrounding mountains. The house is furnished with comfortable soft furnishings and a variety of landscape paintings and prints. Unfortunately, we no longer allow use of the livingroom apart from for your substantial continental breakfast, which is set up for you at the dining table. We also no longer allow use of our kitchen facilities apart from for access however you are welcome to put snacks/drinks in the fridge. We do hope you understand. We do welcome guests to make use of our large outside decking with super view and a picnic table and seating area and paddling/lounge pool for hotter days! For eating out, there are a great selection of bar/restaurants in the village which is a 5 min drive or pleasant 25 min walk away. The walk back up takes a little longer being at the top of a steep hill however you can call a taxi for £5 to bring you home if you prefer not to drive/walk. We are a friendly and relaxed couple and are happy to give advice on what to do in Ullapool and surrounding areas. We have a lovely friendly 13 year old black Labrador called Corrie and we welcome guests with well behaved dogs.

The space
The house is a large bungalow all on ground level with two stairs into the house and no further stairs within.

Your room is bright with modern decor and a hanging space for clothing/jackets. A table and chairs to dine at, fridge, toaster, kettle (for boiling water only), hospitality tray with complimentary tea/coffee , bottled water and biscuits are also in your room. There is also a wall mounted television with fire stick and free movies via Netflix, bbc iPlayer, stv app and channel 4 player.

You are welcome to bring your own food to enjoy in the room (however there are no cooking facilities and cooking is not permitted in the bedrooms) and you are also welcome to enjoy takeaway food in your room - cutlery, crockery, glasses, cups etc are all supplied.

Dawn shall wash your dishes in the dishwasher therefore please refrain from washing dishes in the bathroom sink for hygiene reasons.

The shared bathroom is spacious with a large walk in shower. Toiletries and fresh towels are provided and there is plenty space to store your toiletries, tooth brush/paste, towels etc in the bathroom. Please note each room is given different coloured towels therefore no confusion in the bathroom.

The house is warm with central heating and continuous hot water.

Per Mare Per Terram is a cosy cabin that boasts breath taking views of Loch Broom and the surrounding Munros. Standing alone at the top of Braes in Ullapool it has a wonderful cosy feeling when wrapped up inside, offering out of the way tranquillity whilst still being able to enjoy the amazing scenery no matter what the weather conditions. The cabin is equipped with a fridge, microwave,kettle, toaster and excellent wi-fi. It also has a shower room and modern composting toilet.

The space
The cabin is around a 15 minute walk down hill to the village which has a wide selection of shops, restaurants,cafes and leisure activities. The walk back up the road is steep however the local taxi service only charges £5 for a drop off. Alternatively from the cabin there is a network of paths leading over Ullapool hill down to the village which provide fantastic views over the village itself, the sea and further out to the Summer Isles.
The cabin sits at the top of our garden and is accessed via a steep winding patch. Unfortunately it is not suitable for wheel chair users and not recommended for anyone with mobility issues due to stepped areas and the steepness of the ascent.
The cabin has 1 king size bed and can sleep a maximum of 2 .
French doors lead out of the cabin onto a decking area which is lovely to sit out on as the sun goes down. From the decking, stone steps lead to a small seating area where a barbecue can be had. Perfect for a clear star filled night.
