I think anyone who arrived after me parked outside. Wifi worked ok. I read some negative reviews on sound and location - I agree that the rooms are not soundproof but it did not bother me as I was not trying to sleep during breakfast; and I was not expecting to walk around the area at night (it IS South Africa, after all). All said, a few niggles, but a good experience and I would stay here again if I had to stay in East London."

The staff were very helpful with recommending places to eat and get takeaways. 4 of us shared 2 twin rooms. The place was very clean and comfortable. One of shower rooms was a little tired and could have been spruced up. Clean towels every day was much appreciated. We felt safe and secure which was very important to our overseas companion, who had concerns about safety in South Africa. The use of free Wifi was essential to us to keep in contact with family and friends abroad. It was great to have a decent fridge even though it was only used for cool drinks and wine. The BBQ was large enough for both vegetarian and meat BBQs without upsetting anyone. I will go again."

- "My family was excited to spend the new year's weekend in east London as we were staying in a rural area just outside. The staff were fantastic and we felt safe and comfortable. Our only regret is the pool needed attention from the time we arrived and never got any up until we left. The pool was one of the draws and it was a bit too far gone for us to even clean with the basket ourselves (which we would have gladly done.) Here at At One Lodge, we offer excellent self catering accommodation with a host of modern amenities and conveniences. We are also conveniently situated within walking distance of the Joan Harrison Pool, the Guild Theatre, Schools,shops & restaurants, as well as very close to St Dominics and Frere Hospitals.
EACH UNIT IS BOOKED SEPARATELY and has its own entrance, bedroom and bathroom facilities. Each Unit is slightly different. Fish Eagle and Oystercatcher have air conditioners.

The space
Each Unit is slighty different. All Units have built in double gas hobs and all the kitchen equipment required to cook a full meal. They also have full size fridge/freezers. There is a common braai area under a magnificent avo tree. ..a braai and a skottle are availavble for the guests to use.

Guest access
The guest house is attached to the main house where I live with my 3 boys and 2 dogs. The Guest house area is fenced off so the dogs cannot get to the guests.

Other things to note
There is off street parking behind an electric fence and the dogs also provide an added deterant to any unwanted people.
